  • I had a temperature warning come up on my iPhone 4 and now it won't turn on

I had a temperature warning come up on my iPhone 4 saying I needed to cool it to use it or something and turned it off and attempted to turn it back on as a means of fixing it, but it didn't work and now my phone isn't turning back on and even when I connect it to the charging cable (either to a plug socket or iTunes via my laptop) nothing happens; it doesn't even seem to detect it, my phone is still lifeless.
Anyone know what to do about this and how to fix my phone again? Cos right now, it's nothing more than a nice looking paper-weight. Would appreciate the feedback, thanks.

Try a hard reset while connected to power: (adapter, not iTunes on computer): Press and hold both the Home button and Sleep/wake button at the same time for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple Logo appears.
If this doesn't work: try to force restore: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
NB: the article above will erase all data and content, so make sure you've got a backup
    Good luck

  • Keep Getting Temperature Warning...

I keep getting the temperature warning, and my iPod isn't even hot. Recently, I've been getting it around ever 5 minutes, and that time just keeps getting shorter. It's horrible. I'm also getting the warning just when it's charging. I don't understand why it's happening. Plus, I've only had my iPod for a little over 3 months so it's not even that old. Have you ever had this problem? What should I do? Also, in the case that I'm going to have to get a new iPod, how do I save the apps I've bought?

You can try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restoring from backup
    - Restoring to factory defaults/new iPod.
If you still have the problem you very likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. If defective, Apple will exchange your iPod for a replacment.

  • My 5g touch has temperature warning go off when I plug in headphones.

It works fine until I plug in headphones. Within 15 seconds of plugging in headphones, the temperature warning comes up and says it is too hot. It will stay on for a few seconds to a few minutes then go away but within a few seconds of unlocking, it appears again. If I restart it, it will work fine until I put headphones in again.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a hardware problem.

  • IPhone 4 Temperature warning

I'm not getting much help from another forum that I posted this issue at so I figure that I should try here.
I experienced something very odd with my iPhone 4...
I received a text message and went to check it a minute later. I pressed the on/off button and the screen briefly flickered on then quickly turned off. I did it again and it stayed on this time and it seems to work fine now, for the most part. However, in the brief time that the screen flickered on and off and when I first turned it on for good, I saw the screen saying "Temperature Warning". The temperature warning was only there briefly then disappeared. Like I said, it seems to be working fine now for the most part.
I have a 32GB GSM iPhone 4 running iOS 4.1. I plan to upgrade to 4.3.1 eventually. The iPhone was laying flat on a table and hadn't been used in a couple of hours. It was room temperature (~68°F) when I picked it up. No apps were running in the background.
At this point, should I be overly concerned and gearing up to call Apple?

If you contact Apple, they will most likely suggest restoring your phone from your most recent backup, followed by syncing your iTunes content back to your phone. If the issue does not occur again, you're good to go. If it does, you would then restore your phone as a "new" device in iTunes, again followed by syncing your content back to your phone. If after doing the above & the issue occurs again, a trip to an Apple store would be in order.

  • IOS 8 and high temperature warning

I have an iPhone 4S and the day it came out iOS update 8 upgraded and now I get not even be using the phone a warning that says "iPhone temperature must fall before you can use it." Appears very often and only lets me make emergency calls. I need some help or advice that I can do

    Hi ..
Did you by chance install iOS 8 beta > iPad 3 showing constant temperature warning after iOS 8 update

  • Please i need help. My iphone 4s have a temperature warning then the iphone turn-off right away and no matter how we press the power button the iphone doesnt start..please help me.

i already charged it but nothing shows in the screen.. i did the long pressing both home button and sleep/wake button still no result.. please help me..

If it has a temperature warning, you may have over heated it. Keep it inside and at a cooler temperature exposure. Give it some time. Try holding down the home button and the power button at the same time until something happens.

  • Canon C500 4K Raw .RMF in Premier?

I am preparing for a Canon C500 shoot using the Odyssey 7Q. We will be shooting in full 4k Raw. I would like to be able to offload my footage to RAIDs, then bring the .RMF files directly into premier cc 2014 for an online 4k edit.
In my research I found a short little blurb on the Adobe site saying that Canon Raw would be supported natively, however when I looked at the list of acceptable formats, .RMF (4k and UHD), and .DPX (2k and HD) were not supported. Is there some step that I'm missing? Is it possible to bring 4k .RMF files into Premier as of now? Can someone suggest a good workflow that would allow us to bring these files into a premier pro cc 2014 timeline with the highest possible bit rate? Could someone point me toward some resources to help me figure out this portion of our workflow?
    Thanks, Luke

It does bring them in, I am working on a project with them right now. You can cut realtime with the RMF provided you have the machine to do it. If not then cut with the MFX first and then relink to RMF...
    HOWEVER
...there is a huge issue with the timecodes on these RMF files. The timecode reported by Premiere between the MXF and RAW is hours out and it seems that the RMF files are a few frames short as well. Da Vinci Resolve also has a start timecode 2 frames later on the RMF than the MXF as well.
Not sure whether there is bugs with Premiere, Resolve or the files that the C500 is spitting out or whether the cam op messed up. Whichever, they are nightmare to conform. I would advise you to do some tests first. My advice, stay away from the C500 and RAW until Canon/Adobe/Blackmagic have sorted out these timecode issues.

  • Cinema Raw Development for Windows 1.1 crashes on Canon C500 workflow.

Hey guys, this is mike, new to forum.
We are currently using windows Cinema Raw Development 1.1 to convert Canon C500 .rmf file into .dpx file so that we can import them into adobe premiere for editing.
However, everytime I import something into CRD, it crashes. It doesn't happen on our mac though, we don't want to include any mac machine into our workflow.
Anyone has any idea? Is Canon gonna release a bug fix release for CRD? Or shall I give up the official workflow by Canon and search for other option? As I heard rumors tha Davinci Resolve is able to import .rmf files.

    Hi ericvanburen,
I found similar issue with HP Envy Desktop in HP forum , it might be due to blue tooth driver .
And I quoted the genneral solution here :
    1. Enter into BIOS setup and set Virtualization as disabled and reboot system.
    2. After booting windows 8, enter into Control panel and remove bluetooth driver.
    3. Download and install Ralink Bluetooth driver version 9.2.101.10 (SP59632)
    4. Reboot system and enable Virtualization Technology again.

  • Iphone 5 just showed a temperature warning

I have not used my phone but as I picked it up a temperature warning sign came on the screen and my phone was really hot. After switching it back on it's taken about 10% battery in the time it's taken to switch it back on and it does not show my wifi or signal. The phone was not charging when this happened and it took about an hour to start cooling down although it was switched off. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Nici Lou,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your concerned because your iPhone displayed the temperature warning screen and may have entered a low power state. Take a look at the article linked below, it provides a lot of great information which should answer any questions that you may have about  operating temperatures and temperature management.

  • I got recently the temperature warning and now my iphohe wont charge up completly even with a full night recharge

i got recently the temperature warning and now my iphohe wont charge up completly even with a full night recharge

    Not Charge
    - See:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery
    - Try another cable.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic. I suspect this is your problem

  • Temperature warning...

I had the temperature warning on one single isolated event. It was after placing a call in my apt. It was not hot to touch. It never happened again.
Although, the temperature warning is nothing new, not everyone has this issue... To have piece of mind, should I exchange my ip4 since I am still in my 30 days...?

    BoFeity wrote:
It makes sense for the warning to go off if the phone actually got hot. However, it didn't. As I mentioned before, it has gotten hotter to touch afterwards without a warning.... ?
I'm willing to bet it's a software glitch but you might ring up Applecare and see if they have any advice. They might document it or let you know if it is a "known issue."
One of the more well known issues slated for the 4.1 update is the proximity sensor that Apple said they are still investigating.
