Template cell

Dear Whizzes,
I made a template. In the editable regions I want to replace,
in the child, the img in one cell and the text in the next cell.
How does one keep the cell height from shifting, getting longer. I
don't want that to keep happening.

Fix the layout. This has nothing to do with templates, which
are not layout
tools. They are content control tools. If you are seeing
things move
around when you change the contents then it's your layout
that allows it.

Hi all,

Hi,
In the Template -> TEMPLATE tab -> u will find several square buttons like SELECT PATTERN, OUTER FRAMEINNER FRAME etc.
use those , more revert back

If the Width of the Templete in not sufficient to display whole text then from the next word it is dislpayed in the next line. As in your case ..
'Power
MOS_TestTestTest'.
If you want to have this like
'Power MOS_TestTes
tTest'.
You need to write the logic to split the string as per your rquirement and print them.

SMARTFORMS :How to print an inernal table inside a template cell?

I want to print inside a cell of the template the content of an internal table.

Yes, it is possible.
Create inside your template a loop. Then create inside a text which you address as i.e. row 1, column 1 of your template (cell address).
Now when looping through your table it will place all data in some work area .i.e wa. In your text provide name of the components you want to dispaly i.e. &wa-comp1&.
Please note, that length of your template must be long enought to fit all tables entries.

Template Cell Background Color

Hi,
I'm creating Dreamweaver templates with the pages built from them being edited in Contribute. There is a need for the Contribute users to be able to change the background color of individual cells in a table (on a page built from a DWT). I can't figure out how to make this happen. The rows are repeating regions. If I make an editable attribute then it applies to every row. I can't use ID's because with repeating regions they are not unique. If the user right-clicks a cell (a cell that is an editable region of course) and chooses a style, that style is applied to the contents of the cell via a span and not to the cell itself. Any ideas?

Keeping in mind that the table would have started out as one repeatable row and the Contribute user would add the rest.

Hi,
To insert the text and field value inside the template you need to add insert the text inside the tempate node.
assign the text or field into the text and then decide the position of the ext in the templete in output condition tab or text.
insert the row and column number in the this to filed where you want to display the text.
for e.g if field needs to displayed in the 2nd row and 3rd column then mention line = 2 and column = 3 in the output tab of the text.

Ecc 4.7 smartform table/template cell border thickness cannot be reduced

I am executing the SF_Example_01 and 02 and 03 and the table borders are not appearing properly. They look very thick and I could not figure out a way to reduce the thickness anywhere in table painter. I use sap version 4.7 and the printing device selected for preview is LP01. I am getting the same result when I try to preview the tables or templates that i created. The table cell lines just appear very thick. Please help me solve this

Smart form template size problem!!!

Hi Experts,
Now I met a pronlem about smartforms template. the cell in the template is set to 16CM width(which is enough) and height is only 3.5MM.
and I define the sytle with font is 8pt.
I input the text for the template and all check is fine. but the text cannot display when i test it. even i change the style font to 6pt, 5pt, 4pt, 3pt, 2pt... the text still cannot display.
but when i change the template cell from 3.5MM to 4.5MM, it works fine and displayed the text.
it seems the min hight of temlpate cell should be 4.5MM.
doed anyone knows it? or give me some offical explanations? Thanks!

hi,
maybe you can check the lines per inch in the style. Mostly it is set to 6 lpi.
Increase to 8.
Hope it works.

Moving images within Book cells?

Is there a way to position images within the book template cells? Understanding that the cells are fixed is there a way to move an image around within those boundaries? It appears when I resize an image within the cell it does so uniformly and from the center and is locked there. Am I missing something? We should be able to position the image inside the borders.

when I do not zoom-to-fill my usual 3:2-ratio images get positioned in the middle of a book cell.
Then I can drag them ad libitum to the right or left within that cell.
When zoomed you can still drag the exact portion shown around within the cell.
But that is the only tiny bit of freedom I have discovered so far, with these non-modifiable templates of LR4b#1.
Cell padding is uniformly from each end.
I just hope that general feedback had been drastic enough so that Adobe will soon release LR4b#2 with modifiable templates / page sizes / cell sizes / image borders / text boxes etc.
Otherwise they might not receive much more feedback about the book module. I won't cash out for a book design that does not suit me, so no experiences with upload/export and the rest.

hi srikhar,
when u design the a template and create texts under it, u have to
assign on each text in the template cell.
for ex : u have created 2 cells in ur template now when u create texts u have to assign where the text must appear, so got to text node OUTPUT OPTIONS tab, in that output structure(u can find below) there u have to assign line and cell.

The broken link error

Hi,
Please help me with this broken link error in Office Excel 2010. Thank you.
The problem is: a broken link cannot be removed from the file. The link was used in data validation, which refers to a list of values. After the path was corrected, it still shows there’s a broken link. Here are the details:
I have 4 files named “000TVA_Test – 3”, “000TVA_Test – 4”, “000TVA_Test – 5”, and “000TVA_Test – 6”. The posterior files were developed based on the previous files.
In Test-3, sheet “Template “, cell “L4”, “O4”, “R4”… were built as dropdown list using data validation. The list source is in the “Library” worksheet. There’s no problem so far.
Test-4 was firstly copied from Test-3. In this file I renamed the worksheet from “Library” to “Setting” and the link was broken from here. I can also fix the broken link in this file. (While I didn’t realize there was a broken link.)
In Test-5 I fixed the path, but every time when opening the file, the broken link still shows.
In Test-6 I’ve removed the data validations. The broken link is still there.
I tried to find solutions online. I tried common methods, cannot find anything in the files is still using links. I also tried the “findlink.xla” add-in, but it only worked for Test-4, and couldn’t find the link in other files.

Based on my tested the files downloaded, I found that Test-5 & Test-6 included the "A defined name that refers to an external workbook", Test-4 had not. (Please click Formula Tab>Name Manage, you'll see them.)
However, the Break Links command cannot break the following types of links:
A defined name that refers to an external workbook
A ListBox control with an input range that refers to an external workbook.
A DropDown control with an input range that refers to an external workbook.

Thus, we'd better try the workaround： re-build the Test-5 & Test 6.

Setting for "Rely on system fonts" does not work

Some time ago I wrote a VBA function that would print a worksheet to pdf. It worked great. I reformatted my system, and now the code no longer works. When I run the routine, I receive the error message, "When you create a PostScript file, you must reply on system fonts and use document fonts. Please go to the printer properties, 'Adobe PDF Settings' page and turn OFF the option 'Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts."
I have changed this setting within the Adobe printer setting in Excel, I have changed it in both the 'Printing Preferences" and "Printer Properties" with the Devices and Printers Windows dialog, and I have confirmed that it is turned off in the binary registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\DevModePerUser\Adobe PDF". Also, I have applied the Acrobat 9.4.2 patch. Yet still I get the message when my code is executed....
There were a few changes between my system from before my reformatting. The common items were Windows7 64-bit, Adobe Acrobat 9. The changes were that I went from Microsoft Office 2010 64-bit to Office 2010 32-bit. Windows 7 SP1 is now installed. Also, both Acrobat and Office are installed on my internal "Data" drive, rather than the "C" drive where my operating system is installed.
Although I do not see an issue with code, since it worked for months, I have included it below (the printing code is at the end). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Ok, I have given up the ghost on this problem. I found a MUCH better solution to the problem that I was having, that also has the side benift of processing far faster. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee834871(office.11).aspx for details. Basically, I am now using the VBA ExportAsFixedFormat method, rather than Distiller. Hope this helps.

Missing some fields in Quality

Hi Gurus,
I have loaded a flat file successfully into master data info object in development.
Later I moved the whole development part into quality,there I triend to load the same data.
It also went successfully but I found some of the fields missing in Quality,even though the mapping is correct in update rules.
Any idea why it is happening like this.

What type of element you are using for printing data? I mean table or template. If template then it may not print because data exceeds the width of template cell.

Output not coming properly in SF

Hi all,
This is the select stmt i have written in the Program lines of Smartform.
SELECT VKORG VBELN FKTYP VTWEG
               FROM VBRK
               INTO TABLE ITAB
               WHERE VBELN BETWEEN '0090022987'   AND
               '0090023500'.
but i am geting the output like this, even though i have all the records
in the VBRK Table.

But the Actual values of FKTYP are
1000 ,but in the output it is appearing as 1
R300, but in the output it is appearing as R.
and rest of fields(vkorg vtweg) are not displaying.
What could be the cause of Error ?

Hello KR
Check your table or template cell width . Make them wider.
This is surely happening because of your table/template's cell size. Make it more broder so that the values and text doesn't break.
