Template Changes Do Not Apply Globally

Question

I am having issues with Templates.
I have setup editable regions and saved my pages as
templates, etc but nothing seems to work.
How do I make changes to editable regions and have those
changes apply globally throughout my pages which all have the same
editable regions?
Also, when I open a new page from the templates I saved, it
only allows changes to the editable regions??? What gives? Isn't
the whole point of opneing up "new from template"
to create a new pages which shares the same editable
regions?

This is the wrong way to use templates.
To use templates, you must spawn a child from the template
using FILE | New
from Template...
This will create a page that no longer contains "Template"
markup, but
instead contains "Instance" markup so that DW can tell what
to do with
editable/non-editable regions.

That's wrong. It's not an alternative - it's the right way to
do it. And
what "more stuff" do you have to change?

Of course, because you still have not understood how
templates work. They
have NO function on the server. They only work INSIDE of DW
to change your
local files. It's the changed local files that must be PUT to
the server,
NOT the template.
For what it's worth, I cannot stand what the nasty webforum
does to your
