Template: Chapter level 1 new page and further down

Hi
I am making a corporate template and would like every new chapter on level 1 to
start on a new page and "further down the page" than ordinary text and lower
level of chapters.
To make the fomat style to start on a new page is no
problem. But the heading won´t move further down regardless of how many "points"
I put in before.
How do I get around?
Note: It will be a template.

You could make a Frame a part of the Style definition as well as page break before and your space before paragraph.
Frames and Textboxes in Microsoft Word
When a Frame is used as part of the stlye, space before will work on a new page.

Take a look at the FileSelector
First make sure the FileSelector is expanded so you can see the directory and sidebar. That's what the little disclosure triangle up by the filename is for. Once the FS has been expanded to look like the above picture, look to see what subdirectory has been selected. Use the SideBar to select an appropriate one.

I dont think they want me to be a loyal customer anymore.
They changed Final Cut Pro, so now I use Premier Pro
Aperture 3 has been left behind so now I moved to Lightroom 4.
And now Pages 5 does not have a vital component, so back to Word.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

If you live in the US launch the iTunes store, then tap Purchases, then the "not on this phone" tab. If you don't live in the US you will have to buy them again, unless the iTunes Store support staff takes pity on you when you email them with a request for help.
BTW, how many songs can you download between daily syncs?

Can I restore a previous session after I open a new page and close it again afterwards?

I recently lost all of my opened tabs and windows. I had 7 pages open with multiple tabs in each window. Windows did an update and shut down my computer without me realizing. When I went on to my computer, without thinking I opened a new window and didn't restore the session, not realizing it wasn't there anymore. Then my computer shut down unexpectedly. Now when I go on the computer, it won't show my previous browsing session. The restore previous session is grayed out, and now that I opened another window to try to figure it out, there is nothing to restore. Is there any way to get a browsing session back from the past? Not the most previous browsing session, but a browsing session from 2 before that??? I am devastated because of all the research I've done in the past 6 months is gone. It will be so hard to figure it all out by searching through my history since it was 6 months of browsing. Not to mention too time consuming to do it that way since there were a few hundred tabs that I lost! Please help me!! I keep thinking that there has to be a way...It's really stressing me out and I just can't accept that it is all gone! I'm not an expert on computers, so I hope to get an explanation that I understand...I would be so grateful if someone can help me!! Thanks!!

Creating a new page and new layout in a Parent/Child report.

Hi,
Currently I have a Parent/Child Report in Oracle Reports 6i. The report shows Contracts as the parent and the detail of the contracts are the Ads. Sometimes there are many ads which extend the contract to another page. Just a normal Parent/Child report. This report can display many contracts at once. My problem is that at the end of each contract I need a new page with a different layout, for a disclaimer page. I've tried many different scenarios using Anchors and page breaks. Is this even possible with Oracle Reports 6i, to have a new page with a different layout in a contract level repeating frame? Any suggestions would help.

You have 2 repeating frames: R_contracts and R_ads. Create a frame M_disclaimer after R_ads, within R_contracts to hold the disclaimer page. This page will print after all the ad records have been printed, and before the new contract starts.
You can set Page Break Before on M_disclaimer to print this frame on a new page.

[HELP]open new page and lock the old one

I have got a requirement:
open a pop-up page(p2) from a existing page(p1),
soon as p2 is pop-up,
user can not take any further action on p1until p2 is closed.
the thing is :
how to lock p1 until p2 is closed?
Is there any way to do this? I have not seen such before.

Install Palm Desktop 6.2.2 on the new computer. Then if you have a wireless router, use Wi-Fi to sync your TX to the new installation. If your new computer is 32-bit, you should also be able to sync with a cable.
If you use any third-party apps which have a desktop component (such as Documents To Go), you'll also have to install those apps onto the new laptop. Also, in order to continue to use it on your new laptop you would need to upgrade Documents To Go to the latest Vista/7 compatible version.
Strong suggestion: before you do anything, download and install the freeware backup application called NVBackup. It will backup your entire TX's contents to a SD card, so that in case anything goes awry in the migration, you will be literally moments away from restoring your data.

My Firefox browser opens to a white screen and when I try to browse a website it opens a new page and is also blank

- installed a new updates for windows last night and restarted my PC
-When I open my Firefox browser it sits at a white screen, with nothing in the URL area.
-When I try to go to a website it reloads says "New Tab" and doesn't load any content and stays blank.
-running version 17.0 on Firefox
-Running Windows 7 64-bit
-updated patches from Microsoft on 12/12/12
-All my other browsers (chrome and IE) still work properly.

Navigation bar too wide for template graphic after creating new page

I want to stick within the templates, but I have a lot of pages and don't want them all in the nav bar. When I flagged a page to keep it out of the NAV bar, the NAV bar get messed up - not properly displaying at the edge of the template, like it made room for the hidden page's link then re-adjusted itself too wide for the background graphic. I've got the problem in the elegant template when displayed in IE on Windows (1024X768). Safari on my mac looks OK. Are there any other setting changes I can make to be better compatible?

More information: I have a 3 year old MacBook and had been using "Microsoft for Mac" until last week when I took my MacBook in for some upgrades- including the operating system Lion. I have been unable to use the Word, Excel, etc. programs because they are not supported on the new operating system... and I already used my 30 day trial of iWork when we first purchased the computer. I decided to buy Pages and Numbers through the App Store icon. When I open the Pages and Numbers under my Applications, I can get them to work. However, when I open old documents saved on my computer, they go into the 'old' iWork messages of that my trial has expired. How do I get the computer to automatically recognize that I've purchased Pages and Numbers?

You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

Select a new page and it does not open in front of other pages.

In Dreamweaver CS3, I used to select a file to work on from the files overview screen, and the new file would open on top of any other pages so I could get right to work. Now I have to minimize the files overview screen every time I want to work on a new page because the new page opens under the files overview screen. I'm using CS6 Dreamweaver 12.0.3 with Mac OSX 10.9.4. I just updated with all Dreamweaver updates for the MAC and restarted my computer. Still no change. Is there a setting to control this?

Here's a screenshot of my standard workspace. I have local files on one side and remote files on the other. In CS3 used to be able to just doubleclick on the file I wanted to work on and that file would open on top of the files overview screen. Now I have to minimize the files overview screen to get it out of view. I'd appreciate any suggestions you can offer. I also used to be able to click on F8 to move between the overview screen and a specific file. That also no longer works.

Can I create a new document with a locked PDF file, add new pages, and lock it all again?

I published a PDF document ten years ago and now want to add Creative Commons licensing language to the copyright page. But I forgot the password! I gather from the Forum that there is no way to recover the password. However, I wonder if I can take the locked PDF file, create a new document (adding a new page for the licensing information), then lock the whole thing up again. Will this work? To create an unprotected file you would need the password.

I am constantly opening new pages instead of new tabs.
Have the two right click functions been swopped and is it possible to swop them back?

Yes they have been swapped. Open in New Tab is now first (formerly second) and Open in New Window is now second (formerly first).
