Template interpretation failed. Template does not exist.

Hi Gurus,
We are configuring SRM 7.0 ( SPS06) with ECC6 ( Ehp4) without Portal, but when I go to Webbrowser ( SiCF..BBPSTART service) and click on any function like Shop...the gives error 'Template interpretation failed. Template does not exist. " ....after going throug some threads we  added ~GENERATEDYNPRO' with value '1'u2026.in Service BBPSC02..etc...then system shows SAP GUI screen in the web Browser for Shop function for example...
Since in the Config Guide. for SRM 7.0..To configure the portal-independent navigation frame...we need to define below steps..
1. RFC connection of type H (HTTP) to the SAP ERP back-end system under SM59
2.Enter the HTTP connection defined above, but without the suffix, in the Customizing activity Define System Landscape in the System Alias for POWL Navigation field. Enter, for example, SAP_ERP.
3.Activate the Internet Communication Framework (ICF) service /sap/bc/nwbc/srm in transaction HTTP Service Hierarchy Maintenance (SICF). Use this service to start NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) for HTML.......which is not defined yet....
Can anyone please confirm me..whether I'm right or anything need to be corrected ...
Thank you in advance.
Regards
Naren

Thanks.
Now I am able to see SRM web browser Screen w/O Portal ...its really nice compare to SRM5.0
As per Config guide It happned after doing below steps .....
SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) supports various flexible deployment variants.
Note
You can use the flexible deployment variants in SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP
SRM 7.0) on SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS06.
3.1 Portal-Independent Navigation Frame and Inbox
3.1.1 Portal-Independent Navigation Frame Configuration
Using the Portal-independent navigation frame, you can use SAP Supplier Relationship Management
(SAP SRM) applications without using SAP NetWeaver Portal.
Procedure
To configure the portal-independent navigation frame, proceed as follows:
1.     In Customizing for SAP Supplier Relationship Management, define the following settings:
n Activate the Portal-independent navigation frame in Customizing for SAP Supplier
Relationship Management under SRM Server Technical Basic Settings Portal-Independent
Navigation Frame Activate/Deactivate Portal-Independent Navigation Frame .
n Define an RFC connection of type H (HTTP) to the SAP ERP back-end system under SRM
Server Technical Basic Settings Define RFC Destinations , or use transaction SM59. The name of
the connection must end with one of the following character sequences:
l For a non-secure connection, use_HTTP.
Example: SAP_ERP_HTTP.
l For a secure connection, use _HTTPS.
Example: SAP_ERP_HTTPS.
n Enter the HTTP connection defined above, but without the suffix, in the Customizing activity
Define System Landscape in the System Alias for POWL Navigation field. Enter, for example, SAP_ERP.
n Activate the Internet Communication Framework (ICF) service /sap/bc/nwbc/srm in
transaction HTTP Service Hierarchy Maintenance (SICF). Use this service to start NetWeaver Business
Client (NWBC) for HTML.

    127.0.0.1       localhost
    10.10.0.10      anuja
10.10.0.10 being the address given to the Loopback connection and anuja is the hostname.
Please help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks!

Thank you PR Srinivas and Khaiser.
Actually I wish to explain how I solved the problem. I went to the key through the registry path. But saw that there was the folder present in the path but it was blank.
So I right clicked on the folder went to Permission. I tried giving Full Control Permission for 'System' user name which did not solve the problem.
Hence in the Permission option of yxefkoe registry key I clicked on Add. In the 'Select Groups or User' popup window I clicked on 'Advanced' option and then clicked on 'Find Now'. I selected the user name which I use to log in to windows and applied the changes.
After all these steps I found entries in the registry folder 'yxefkoe'. I right clicked on the yxefkoe folder and went to Permissions - > Gave Full Control to the newly added user name.
And then the problem was solved.
So I guess when you should find two users in the Permissions option on the yxefkoe folder.
    1. System
    2. User name which u use to log into windows. -- > It is displayed like this --> User_Name(Hostname/User_Name)
Correct me if i am incorrect here.
Thanks a lot for the help!

    Hi Vit,
Did you run any job after you added one system to logical systems.
Please import role : ZBC_ALL   through incremental role sync job for the system you have entered in ERP logical landscape .
Once it is completed , then schedule batch risk analysis Job for this role.
Then schedule Management report update .
run Role Level analysis again and check .
    Thanks

    >Services
    >Clicked on "fcdmxy" ...Key
    On Registry Menu
Clicked on --> Edit  --> Permissions
    Given full permissions to everyone.
    restarted the server

  • WEB TEMPLATE DOES NOT EXIST IN Q

    Hello
First we created 15 reports in D and transported those reports to Q. Everything worked fine.
Then we created 3 new reports in D. The wemtemplate assigned to those reports is a new webtemplate created saving an already existing webtemplate (an which is already transported to Q) with a new name.
The 3 new reports work in D. But once transported to Q, they don't work there:
The initial exception that caused the request to fail was:
The Web template "Z..." does not exist in the master system
Please, does anybody know the solution for this issue?
    Thanks in advance!
    Jon

Can you open the new web template in the Q system using the web application designer? It seems, looking at the error message, that it is not transported.

You can find the log of this install session at:

That's it - no indication as to whether the installation was successful or failed or whether the NETCA/DBCA/etc. were successful or not.
I found that a listener existed after the install:

    oracle 22776 19142 0 13:39 pts/0 00:00:00 grep ORCL11GD

    Any suggestions would be welcomed!

    Hans: None at all, unfortunately.
Srini: I obtained a copy of the note and read through it. It does look as though I should be able to run the DBCA in -silent mode to create a template, so no GUI needed. Thanks again!
On a side note: Did anybody else notice the "General_Purpose.dbc" template missing from the $ORACLE_HOME/dbca/templates directory after an 11g R2 software install on RHEL 5.3? I'm beginning to suspect that not all components were installed as expected during the software installation. the oraInstall<Date/Time>.err file is full of errors such as the following:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/oracleStagingArea/Oracle11gR2/11.2.0.1.0/Disk1/database/stage/Components/oracle.rdbms.install.seeddb/11.2.0.1.0/1/DataFiles/filegroup2.jar (No such file or directory)
All of these errors are complaining about only the following 4 compoments:
    - oracle.ctx
    - oracle.sysman.console.db
    - oracle.owb.rsf
    - oracle.rdbms.install.seeddb
Upon investigation, I found that there is no oracle.ctx, oracle.sysman.console.db, oracle.owb.rsf, or oracle.rdbms.install.seeddb under /opt/oracleStagingArea/Oracle11gR2/11.2.0.1.0/Disk1/database/stage/Compoments. Instead, the grouping is located under /opt/oracleStagingArea/Oracle11gR2/11.2.0.1.0/Disk2/database/stage/Components.
It seems that I may have staged the media incorrectly in two separate directories. Should I have unzipped both files into the same directory instead of separating them out?

  • The Web template does not exist in the master system

We are using a Web Template (ZPORTAL) as an access point to other web templates and to 0ANALYZER. We recieve an abort when the use logs on for the first time and is presented with the password change window. When they change the password and click ok, the following message is recieved: The Web template "ZPORTAL=" does not exist in the master system. After the abort, they go back to the ZPORTAL again in which case no abort occurs and they are able to navigate the web template. This only happens when they have to change their password. Has anyone else seen this?

Make sure the template exists in the system which is configured in the iView property.
There should be a one to one mapping between BI and EP systems.
You cannot connect 2 BI system to one EP system and configure BI JAVA

  • Error: web template does not exist in master system

I have Bex 7x query. I wnat to publish it on SAP enterprise portal (EP 7.0 SP19).
When I create a Bex iview and provide link of query, I get following error in preview:
The webtemplate <queryname> does not exist in master system.
Could you please let me know what can be the root cause of this error?
    Regards,
    Deepti

    Dear Deepti,
Can you please make sure that Web template "0ANALYSIS_PATTERN" is acive in your system. If not, please activate it from
    Business content.
You can check this by following below steps:
Please run TX SE38 and Execute Report RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70 and enter the template name and execute.
If you could see the HTML code , this means it is activated.
Could you also please confirm me the settings you have in TX RSCUSTV27.
    Regards,
    Arvind

  • Support, please add a place for the Z30 and fix the "The specified template does not exist or is empty" error on this page

Please get the web site designers to fix this forum.  There is no Z30 "place" and there is an error message that shows up every time.
The specified template does not exist or is empty

Make sure the SharePoint Server is joined to Active Directory. Also validate that the Web Application Application Pool account is running as a Domain User (rather than say Network Service).

  • Web template "0ADHOC" does not exist in the master system error

    Hi to all,
The Web template "0ADHOC" does not exist in the master system.
Error coming while executing query on web template.
Via TCODE RSCUTV27 I have checked the default web template 0ADHOC is already there for adhoc analysis.
Please can anyone tell me what the problem is?
I shall be thankful to you for this.
    Regards
    Pavneet Rana

    Hi,
    According to the error message,
The template ""0ADHOC" does not exist in the BI system. It has to be transported too.
    OR
Logon to R3 and check in Transaction SE38 with program "RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_XX".
    You will see
                                         Template ID :
                                         Reusable Web Item ID :
                                         Version :
Give "template name" and see what is the version.
If it is "D" then please change that to version "A". and check if issue persist.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Mani

  • DBCA in silent mode gives "template does not exist" error

We successfully created a database using the DBCA in silent mode like this:
dbca -silent -responseFile dbca.rspThen, attempting to create a second database on the same machine with a slightly different response file, we get the following error:
    dbca -silent -responseFile dbca.rsp2
Template General Purpose does not exist. Please specify an existing template for database creation. The "General Purpose" template was used in the original database creation. It does exist. No logfile is created. Any ideas what could be causing this?

We never did get to the bottom of the mysterious "template does not exist" error, but went with a solution that is better:
    1. we used the already-existing database to create a clone template:
dbca -silent -createCloneTemplate -sourceDB OLD_SID -sysDBAUserName sys
       -sysDBAPassword XXXX -templateName old_sid_copy.dbc
      -maintainFileLocations true
-datafileJarLocation /local/opt/oracle/product/10.2.0/assistants/dbca/templates (Note the use of the -maintainFileLocations switch)
    2. edited the template file, replacing all instances of OLD_SID with NEW_SID
    /local/opt/oracle/product/10.2.0/assistants/dbca/templates/old_sid_copy.dbc
    3. create the clone using the new template
    dbca -silent -createDatabase -templateName old_sid_copy.dbc
      -gdbname NEW_SID.MYHOST.COM -sid NEW_SID
      -datafileJarLocation /local/opt/oracle/product/10.2.0/assistants/dbca/templates
      -responseFile NO_VALUE -characterset WE8ISO8859P1

  • "Language-dependent text does not exist" when executing template on portal

    Hi,
We are using BI 7 on SP 8. When trying to execute a web template in the portal we are getting a series of errors such as:
    Language-dependent text does not exist: TYPE=REP KEY1=SAPLRRSV KEY2=705 LANG=
Has anyone experienced this problem and know of a fix?
    Thanks,
    Lee

Yes we have. The problem is due to the support stacks for ABAP and for Java being out of sync i.e. they have to be on the same patch level. If you run program RSPOR_SETUP (via SE38) and enter the relevant details for checking the portal setup, this will detail all the errors.
