TEMPLATE INTERPRETATION FAILED

Hi I'm getting error message when trying to logon to 7.0 for the first time.
The Internet service bbpat05 does not exist in SRM when I check SE80.  Given I'm in 7,0 and don't do W3_PUBLISH, how do I get the internet service to exist or is there another solution or source of the problem.  Sorry for a bit of a poorly worded question but I am not a technical consultant, only functional!
Any help is appreciated!
Regards
Tracey

Hello,
If you are using SRM 7.0, this release uses Webdynpro technology, ITS is not used anymore.
Therefore, templates, transactions and HTMLs concepts are not valid anymore. You will not find them in SE80.

Ricardo

    Hi Gurus,
We are configuring SRM 7.0 ( SPS06) with ECC6 ( Ehp4) without Portal, but when I go to Webbrowser ( SiCF..BBPSTART service) and click on any function like Shop...the gives error 'Template interpretation failed. Template does not exist. " ....after going throug some threads we  added ~GENERATEDYNPRO' with value '1'u2026.in Service BBPSC02..etc...then system shows SAP GUI screen in the web Browser for Shop function for example...
Since in the Config Guide. for SRM 7.0..To configure the portal-independent navigation frame...we need to define below steps..
    1. RFC connection of type H (HTTP) to the SAP ERP back-end system under SM59
2.Enter the HTTP connection defined above, but without the suffix, in the Customizing activity Define System Landscape in the System Alias for POWL Navigation field. Enter, for example, SAP_ERP.
3.Activate the Internet Communication Framework (ICF) service /sap/bc/nwbc/srm in transaction HTTP Service Hierarchy Maintenance (SICF). Use this service to start NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) for HTML.......which is not defined yet....
Can anyone please confirm me..whether I'm right or anything need to be corrected ...
    Thank you in advance.

As per Config guide It happned after doing below steps .....
SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) supports various flexible deployment variants.
    Note
You can use the flexible deployment variants in SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP
SRM 7.0) on SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS06.
3.1 Portal-Independent Navigation Frame and Inbox
    3.1.1 Portal-Independent Navigation Frame Configuration
Using the Portal-independent navigation frame, you can use SAP Supplier Relationship Management
(SAP SRM) applications without using SAP NetWeaver Portal.
    Procedure
To configure the portal-independent navigation frame, proceed as follows:
    1.     In Customizing for SAP Supplier Relationship Management, define the following settings:
n Activate the Portal-independent navigation frame in Customizing for SAP Supplier
Relationship Management under SRM Server Technical Basic Settings Portal-Independent
    Navigation Frame Activate/Deactivate Portal-Independent Navigation Frame .
n Define an RFC connection of type H (HTTP) to the SAP ERP back-end system under SRM
Server Technical Basic Settings Define RFC Destinations , or use transaction SM59. The name of
the connection must end with one of the following character sequences:
    l For a non-secure connection, use_HTTP.
    Example: SAP_ERP_HTTP.
l For a secure connection, use _HTTPS.
    Example: SAP_ERP_HTTPS.
n Enter the HTTP connection defined above, but without the suffix, in the Customizing activity

  • ITS service interpreter failed error code 0x2101

    Hi!
I am trying to access a transaction without a user having to logon manually. When opening the following link in the browser I am able to access the transaction without manual login:
    http://itshostname:port/scripts/wgate/cv03n/!?client=010&login=username&password=test&language=DE&draw-doknr=10000009472&draw-dokar=999&draw-dokvr=02&~okcode=/0
However, the user and passwort are shown in cleartext and I do not want that for security reasons. AFAIK the way to achieve this is setting the parameters in a service file on the agate. Put the file cv03n.srvc in the service directory:
    ~client         010
    ~login          username
    ~password       test
    ~language       DE
    ~transaction       CV03N
After restarting the agate service and opening the follwing url I expected to see the same transaction as before when I put the parameters inside the url:
    http://itshostname:port/scripts/wgate/cv03n/!?draw-doknr=10000009472&draw-dokar=999&draw-dokvr=02&~okcode=/0
Instead I got the error message:
    Interpreter Failed
The Internet Transaction Server failed to generate the response for current request.
    Please contact the system administrator.
    Internal error code: 0x2101
I also tried to crypt the password. Additionally I tried to set only one parameter in the srvc file (client). Always the same error. Does anyone have an why I get this error as soon as a parameter is put into the service file?

    Hi Christian,
as far as I can see you did anything right. Do you find further hints in your trace files when this error occurs?
    Regards Ralph
    EDIT
I just saw you created this service new? If yes you need to copy the other values from your webgui.srvc to your new service file, too (esecially ~webgui 1)

  • OI template error - Failed to create template

    Hi,
I was under the impression that the Excel snapshot templates could be customized and tried to do this but it didn't work. I restored the master (copied it back to the template folder) but got an error message when I try to (re)set the template paths:  Failed to create template (template name here).
I uninstalled OI completely and reinstalled (both server and client) but still get the above message, even when I changed the path where the templates are installed. This is only on the workstations, not on the server so I'm thinking that there is something on the workstation that is stored that doesn't get uninstalled when the add-on is uninstalled.
Even though the templates are installed in the folders indicated in the OI Company Setup, the snapshot templates are not available when in Outlook, no doubt because of this error message; there is something that isn't properly installed that links the templates to Outlook.
Any ideas how I get rid of this message? Don't see why uninstall would not fix this; sounds like a bug with the add-on.
    Thank you,
    Heather

  • Interpreter Failed Error.

    Hi All,
I have a R/3 transaction which creates sales order,.. for this there is an ITS service ( it is a stand alone ITS ), developed in Flow logic with mixed mode. There is an upload facility to upload materials for creating a sales order. When i try to create a sales order with few materials it will get created. If i use many materials it gives me "Interpreter Failed" error. Even i have tried by debugging it, however there is no error in the R/3 transaction.
please let me know if you have any idea regarding the same.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amarnath SInganamala.

    Hi Henning,
Thanks for your reply, the complete error message is.
    Interpreter Failed
The Internet Transaction Server failed to generate the response for current request.
    Please contact the system administrator.
    Internal error code: 0x2101
The thing is when i run the service using debugger, it throws this error but the debugger ( R/3 trasaction ) will run properly.

  • ITS Interpreter Failed

    Hi all,
I’m in an implementation of SRS sap retail store, in the service wstl I have a button search help that gives me an Interpreter Failed when clicked, on then production machine, in the development machine the htmlb code is identical and works fine.
The button call´s a screen with a alv inside.
Im not able do do debug the htmlb code to see where is the bug …
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks and regards

    Hi Luis,
in almost all cases an interpreter failure has a reason. It would be really
    helpful to know it.
In order to find the reason one can us the common techniques as reading
trace files, examining the logs, look for some hints in the source of the
    generated HTML etc.
How to do this is described in the documentation and there are some
    wiki articles and blogs around.
Ok, just do this work, think about it and provide such information to us.
Information about the release used might be helpful too, don't you agree?
    regards

  • VMM 2012 R2 Template creation fails with sysprep error via the gui, but works in powershell?

I'm in the process of trying to convert an existing gen1 VM (Win Server 2012 R2) to a VM template using VMM 2012 R2 with rollup 1. The creation keeps failing with the following error :-
    "Error
(2901)The operation did not complete successfully because of a parameter or call sequence
    that is not valid.Recommended ActionEnsure
that the parameters are valid, and then try the operation again."
I've checked that the local administrator account for the machine being converted to a template and it is blank as expected and in an attempt to troubleshoot I've output the template creation script via the VMM GUI and executed the commands in order which appears
to have resolved the problem, well the template finishes creation, i'm yet to deploy a machine via it?
    # Create VM Template Wizard Script
    # Script generated on Thursday, April 3, 2014 12:52:15 PM by Virtual Machine Manager

-OrganizationName "My Organisation" -Workgroup "WORKGROUP" -AnswerFile $null -OperatingSystem $OperatingSystem
Now the only fields that weren't populated when I ran through the gui were FullName and Organization? Before I changed the script these two fields were just set to ""? Is that what has potentially caused the issue are they both required fields?

Your not the only one who can reproduce this. Did you ever find out what it was? I saw your post and tried your same work-around and it also worked for me via Powershell.

  • NWDI Template Installer fails

    Hi
We have installed a dual stack SR2 system and patched to SPS15.  When we run the DI template installer, it gives an error "Message with name [DIMasterPwdPolicyCheckMsg] does not exist [concat('. ',/getPasswordPolicyErrorTextOutput/Return/text()) ]"
We have seen the note 1145663 and so did all group creation and assignment manually and skipped these steps.
However when we get to Upload Default ACLS this step fails with unauthorized and trying to manually assign the ACLs listed in on SAP Help is very unclear.  The document says there should be a View Permissions in the context menu however I don't see any of this.  I have checked in the DTR Perspective in Developer Studio and tried to look in the /dtr URL.
Has anybody has this problem and how have they resolved it.
    Thanks
    Leigh White
    SAP Technical Consultant

    Hi
Thanks Pascal - activated the DTR Admin plugin and was able to update ACL permissions.
For information - reply from SAP is that Template Installer is buggy with a dual stack install.  We were on SPS15 which is the latest.  All configuation therefore has to be done manually.
SAP were working on a fix for this.
    thanks for the assistance

  • XML Publisher 6.5.2 MS word Template Builder fails

    Dear all,
My env is: Oracle DB 10.1.0.5 on redhat Linux, XML publisher 6.5.2 on Windows 2000.
While using the XML publisher GUI from the browser, I am able to connect successfully to the database.
However, when I try to build a RTF template from MS word, I am unable to do so. The MS word template builder wizard is throwing an exception, and I do not know how to solve it in spite of some googling around.
I gave the same connect identifier in the XMLP GUI (which connects) and also in the template builder (which fails to connect).
Any help/pointers for this will be welcome.

I think that I installed the latest device packages for LMS 4.2.4.
What could be the problem here?
    Thanks,

    Hi Afroz,
when I checked the ssh-credentials, I got a failure on ssh enable.
The failure message on ACS is "missing user password".
I reentered the credentials, but the error persists.
I tried to login with the credentials manually, and it works. So the credentials are correct.
Last I deleted and re-added the device, but nothing has changed.
Other devices (not 2960X) working correct.
So I think maybe I haven't the latest device packages for 2960X-Switches. But here is the next problem, I can't check for latest packages:

    Hi,
Please add the sapmsSID entries for both systems (java and abap) in the /etc/services file of BOTH SERVERS. This means that each server should have entries for every system in your landscape.
Additionally, please ensure that this is set to 36<NN> and not 8100 as you mentioned. The reason is that 8100 is ABAP HTTP port, but 36<NN> is message server port. These two are different.
    Try this.
