Template Lost It's History

I had developed a web site but moved to another folder in another web site, and now the master template does not recognize any pages to update. What did I do, and can I re-attach to the master template so it will update?

Incorrect wording, it was the "master" for my web site. I have relocated the template file out of the sub folder and have in the root folder and then attached the html pages that had been developed from the "master" to the new template. Problem solved, thanks for the feedback.

Following download of version 23.0.1 I lost all previous history but not bookmarks. How do I recover old history? Recovery in "import and backup" does not help

My remembered and retained history was going back quite a few months. Following update of Firefox to 23.0.1 I lost all my history and Firefox only retains websites visited after the new version was installed. My bookmarks have been retained. I tried Recover in "Import and backup" but it only goes back to the date of the new installation. I tried places.sqlite in "Roaming" but there is only one with today's date. Is there a way to recover the lost history? Why did Firefox lose it? Will it happen averytime Firefox updates?

Backup your bookmarks manually. If you have been using the "import" you may have already lost some information by overwriting it. As a matter of course you should always save current bookmarks manually before using any restores.

That way you can ensure you are able to restore the complete current set. Put your .json backup file somewhere safe outside Firefox program or profile paths. The Windows Desktop or removable media would be suitable.
Firefox does create some autobackups of bookmarks but does not do anything about backing up the History. Luckily Windows probably backs up previous versions of your file ''places.sqlite'' and that is the database with History and bookmarks in it. See if you can recover a recent version of that, it will restore your history up to the date of the restored file.

Afterwards import your more recent bookmarks from wherever they were saved. The import overwrites the slightly older bookmarks from the Windows file.
You my also then wish to install and run the addon places maintenance.

That may be used to check and repair the places.sqlite database. It will give a short status report. Note if the places.sqlite runs out of space it starts deleting History.
In future you my wish to routinely create occasional backups of your profile or at least your places.sqlite

Upgrade to FF .13 lost all my history, bookmarks, etc. Where are they?

FF upgraded overnight to, I think, .13 level. I've lost all my history--no bookmarks (HUGE problem for me) plus sites I visit regularly are blank, etc.
Where did they go and are they recoverable?

My internet connection went down for 24 hours when it resumed I had lost all my history and bookmarks and I can't get them back.

Since my internet connection went down I've lost all my bookmarks and history. When I try and save pages to Bookmarks I'm unable to. I've also lost some of my taskbar items

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark. <br />
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

Lost tabs and history after update-version 26 android

My device samsung s4 just updated to firefox 26 and deleted all my opened tabs and all my history. there is no button to press in order to restore my tabs and in history I see only today's pages. I had 31 tabs which i dont remember and now I lost them.... what can I do?

Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
* if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup
You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file.

I did an update, lost all recent history from 6th march and will not let me open a new tab. how can I fix this?

late last week on starting firefox said an update was ready,I said ok,firefox started.
found i had lost recent history(last 7 days).would not let me open a new tab. plus it did not open with the tabs open already.
any ideas?

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

Updated due to history search suddenly not working, now works but i lost all my history

Did you only lose your history or did you lose everything in your profile like your bookmarks, toolbar settings, options, extensions.
If you lost everything, and had downloaded the new version, I can understand how you might have created new profile without your old profile content, in which case you might still have your old profile.

updated to firefox 3.6.12 and lost all my bookmarks, toolbars, history etc. How do I go back to the previous version?

From which version did you update?
* In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
* Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
* Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

Ive lost all my history when downloading firefox 4

when i downloaded the new firefox 4 it has not kept any of my history. NO tabs from previous session and NO information at all in the "show all history" .
I dont know if this has any relevance: I did notice that when i was moving the firefox icon into my applications file, in the downloading process, it said that i was replacing a newer file with an older file.....but I wasn't! So i did it anyway.

Template lost CSS?

Actually there are two problems that would seem to be related
in some way on
this site.
The first is that when putting a file, I get a dialog box
saying that a file
has been altered on the remote server and will be
overwritten. The box
appears on every upload. I have deleted the file from the
server, but it
still persists. It is a backgound png file. It is a png that
I have used as
a background image in a div as well as in PMM menu.
Second, in my template, in design view, it would appear that
all of the CSS
styles no longer apply. The files that I uploaded after this
occurance are
fine, and do not show any difference, but the template
appears in the design
view without style...all except for that one png file that I
keep getting
the messge about...it is still visable.
And last, some of the child pages in design view are out of
whack (alignment
is way out of place), but are fine when viewed in a browser.

I restarted DW and corrected the CSS issue...
The constant warning issue is still there.

I deleted by mistake the Category "Yesterday" in the "History" Side bar. It now only shows "Today" and "Last 7 days". How can I retrieve the "Yesterday" category that shows all the websites I visited yesterday?

You can't restore history data once it is deleted, unless you do the UNDO before closing the History window, from the Organize menu item.
Yesterday should return tomorrow, when tomorrow becomes today, and today becomes yesterday.

Lost Transport Import History after the system refresh

Hi,
We forgot to take the backup of the TPALOG table before the system refresh. We refreshed our testing system from production system. Right now we donu2019t have the old import history for the testing system. We played with TPALOG table and TPALOGHDR to synchronize TPALOG table with ALOG* files. But we are not able to do that. I remember we had synchronized the TPALOG table with ALOG* files in the past. Please advise for any function/program to achieve this. Thanks.

Hello Raj,
The mechanism behind the import history is that STMS will look in table TPALOGHDR to check if the time frame for which the import history is called, is between STARTTIME and ENDTIME.
If it is, it will use the entries in table TPALOG.
If not, it will read the ALOGxxxx files on /usr/sap/trans/log and update table TPALOG.
Modifying the ENDTIME in TPALOGHDR will force reading the ALOG files again and will update the internal table TPALOG. In most cases,using the first date you find in the ALOG file that covers the missing transport.
To reduce the possibility of competing accesses to the action log you can select a system-specific name. For this purpose, set the tp parameter ALLLOG in the STMS transport tool as global and with value:
ALLLOG = ALOG$(syear)$(yweek).$(system)
This will create system dependant ALOG files like, ALOG0318.D01
It should be noted that : The import history in TMS is only available for periods after the last copy of a system. The reason for this is, that TMS needs some information about the ALOG files which are stored
in the database. During a database copy, this information is destroyed and there is no possibility to restore this data.

Updated and now it has lost all my history and bookmarks and won't open

I updated Firefox on 9/18/11. No problems until yesterday 9/22/11. I opened firefox and a window came up saying something like -oops, how embarrassing, we lost all your bookmarks and saved pages. That was bad but then it also wouldn't open anything after that and the rainbow wheel came up and the app did not respond further. I've tried: turning the computer off and on, deleting and re-installing firefox. I called AppleCare and they suggested I call you. I have a MacBook Air. Please help.

Thank you. I did just what you said and on my computer(sadly not an MacBook :( ) and I saw my things were still there. I "turned off" the iTouch and everything came back. But I did notice that every once in a while(it has happened 3 times within 15 days) my info(notes/contacts/calendar events/reminders/ and even access to my e-mail's junk folder) disappears randomly. Is there anything I should do to prevent it from doing that?
