Templates not applied properly?

It seems that sometimes templates aren't applied properly.
Here's a
link to a dummy
project that will illustrate my point:
If you generate WebHelp for this dummy project, you'll see
two topics. One is called 'Intro', the other 'Liabilities 1'.
You'll also see that in the 'Intro' topic, there's white
space between bread crumb and 'Print topic' button at the top-right
corner.
In the other topic 'Liabilities 1', there's NO white space
between bread crumb and button.
Both files use the SAME template.
If you re-apply the template to the 'Liabilities 1' topic, It
will show the same behavior as the other topic and you'll see white
space.

We discovered the following problem with RoboHelp 7 HTML:
Sometimes, when we update a template (that is, its header,
footer, or background properties), this change does not propagate
to all help topics that are associated with this template.
We found a workaround: In the Topic List, sort the template
column. Then, select all topics that are associated with the
template in question. Right-click, select Properties, and change
the template to "None". Right-click, select Properties, and change
the template back to what you want it to be.
This re-set of the templates updates all of the selected
topics.

  • Colors are not applying properly

    First off, let me say that I am definitely a novice.  I'm mostly self taught- I did take some courses through the Art Institute of Pittsburgh but I had to drop out to take care of my family so I'm by no means an expert.  So forgive me if I sound like an idiot.
    Yesterday I was desiging images for my children and I was having difficulty with the colors- I would select a color from the color picker and a different shade/color would be applied to the text.  Hoping it was a RAM issue, I just restarted my computer and it resolved itself.  Easy enough.  I completed the designs and went about my day.
    Today, I'm working on a project for someone else and it's doing it again.  I've restarted the computer and I've reset settings on Illustrator to the default but neither of these things resolved the problem.
    In an attempt to make sure I wasn't going crazy, I took a screen shot of the text I'm attempting to color and the color picker box showing the color I was trying to choose.  The selected color was R 6 G 6 B 249.  I opened the image in paint and with the eyedropper tool selected the color that was actually applied and that color is R 61 G 93 B 171- so clearly not the same color at all.  I then opened it in Photoshop to determine if it was an Adobe problem or just an Illustrator problem.  With the eyedropper tool, I got the same results that I did in paint.  Illustrator is definitely not applying the colors correctly.
    Being a novice, I have no idea what to do now and as I'm using CS5, the live chat rep sent me here to seek help.  I've been using these programs for years and have never encountered this problem so I'm baffled and I'd appreciate any help.

    I think you can try explaining it better by giving some additional information.
    What is the color space of the document as reported on this menu at the bottom left of your document window?
    What is the name of the color space (profile) listed after Monitor RGB on the RGB menu in the Working Spaces section of the Color Settings?
    What are the color values of the color you have trouble with? Please provide the CMYK or RGB values depending on the color mode of the document.
    Please, provide a screen shot in png file format so the colors can be measured accurately without being altered by the jpg compression.
    Also please include in the screen shot the Color panel with a slider set to the color model of the document.
    Also to make sure that the color in the document is not altered by any other means, like blending modes, multiple fills appearance, masks, etc. create a new document with a simple box with the same color values and check if the colors match.

  • Outlook 2013 sending email using template not working properly...

    I've created several email templates by doing the following:
    open new message
    add some tekst in the body
    save as > oft file
    Now when I open such oft file I add some modifications in the body text and send the message. However, the send item does not contain the modifications I just made, only the text that was included in the template.
    We're using Outlook 2013 SP1 (with all microsoft updates installed) with Exchange 2013 SP1 standalone server. Is this a Outlook or Exchange issue and how can I resolve this?

    Please also try to start Outlook in safe mode and test again to check if this issue continues. To start Outlook in safe mode, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
    outlook /safe and press Enter.

  • Group Policy Administrative Templates not applying on Windows XP SP3 - Windows Server 2008 R2

    I have a Windows 2008 R2 domain with windows 7, and Windows XP SP3 client workstations.
    I have a group policy to deny all access to removable storage in policies/administrative templates/system in user configuration (actually its in the computer configuration as well)
    The problem is the policy is having no effect on the Windows XP machines. It works perfectly on Windows 7 machines.
    Group policy in general is working on the Windows XP machines, as I can successfully map drives, push out scheduled tasks, and push out printers. (All preferences I know and I have GP Preferences client side extensions installed).
    Its almost like the windows XP machines can't "understand" the admin templates from Windows Server 2008 R2.
    Do I need to install something on the windows XP machines? What could be the problem?

  • Password policy not applying properly

    I have set password policy for my domain that
    Maximum age: 60days
    Minimum age is: 45days
    but I get messages every week that passwords would expire in 4 days
    I checked using rsop.msc and policy seems to be correctly applied.
    what could be the problem?

    If your GPO is applied correctly, this simply means that the last
    password change was 56 days ago.

    On the client? Your user is not a local user on the client, but most
    probably a domain user. So you need to check RSoP.msc on the PDC
    emulator, not on the client.

    You forgot to link your password policy to the domain, and after doing
    so, make sure you move it upwards above the existing "default domain
    policy". In the security filter, add at least "Domain Controllers" -
    better leave "Authenticated Users". And finally, do not block
    inheritance on the "domain controllers" OU.

  • After upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 templates not working in smartform

    Hello,
    After upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 templates not working properly in smartform, although value is flowing to the point the template is getting called and inside the template there are text elements where placeholders are kept to display the value, when the print is taken there are no values being displayed by the text elements.
    Please note - Text elements doesnot have any conditions present in the condition tabstrip.

    Hi,
    After the upgrade, you will have to do the security upgrade.
    Please follow these steps.
    1. Go To SU25
    2. Run step 2A to 2D.
    3. In step 2C, you shall get the list of all the affected roles.
    Click on first role. It will take you to authorizations of that role. Click on the "New" tab there to find the new objects added to the role after the upgrade.
    Note: You can open the same role in the unupgraded system to check.
    4. Provide the access to the required authorization objects.
    5. Disable the unwanted authorization objects.
    6. Generate the profile.
    7. Follow the same steps for all the affected roles listed.
    Please note that you will have a list of new objects added.You need to maintain them inorder to avoid any access issues.
    8. After step 2C, complete 2D.

  • Field type TaxonomyFieldTypeMulti is not installed properly when opening Site columns page or saving site as template

    I have a site collection which I am moving from a SharePoint 2013 enterprise server to a SharePoint 2013 foundation server. This all seems fine apart from when I try and access the Site columns page (from Site settings) or when I save a Site as a template
    - both times I get the error: Field type TaxonomyFieldTypeMulti is not installed properly 
    If I look in the SharePoint logs I get the following:
    Unable to locate the xml-definition for FieldName with FieldId '249a1c1a-5a3e-4173-abad-779b01892510
    Any ideas?

    I have re-done the migration from Enterprise to Foundation and now get the following error:
    Field type RatingCount is not installed properly. Go to the list settings page to delete this field.
    However I cannot go to the Site columns page as I get this error so don't see where I can delete this from? Previously I had to delete this field manually from each of the Blog sites but this time there don't
    appear to be these fields to delete - I presume because I disabled all the features relating to this premigration?
    Any ideas?

    iTunes 11.1.4 will not install properly - windows 8.1, 64 bit.  The only way I have found to recover is to restore my system.  I have unistalled/reintalled iTunes two times.  No success.  iTunes 11.1.3.8 functions properly (following system restore).  When is Apply expected to provide a workable update?

    Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    (The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
    Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

  • Custom master page applying on Publishing site template not in my site template?

    i have created a custom master page based on Publishing template Using Design manager (means converted html to aspx page) and then set all other control on the master page. now problem is master page applying only on Publishing site template not my site
    template. any one know why its happening, and how can resolve this issue?

  • Excel File [.xlsx] of more than 5 MB - Not applying Excel Display Template

    Hi Team,
    We have an issue in SharePoint 2013 Search Results for Excel files having extension .xlsx format. Some files which are having more than 5 MB size are not applying Excel display template. Even we are not getting Excel icon beside the Search result of this
    item.
    For all other excel files like [All sizes of .xls format and files less than 5 MB of .xlsx format] Excel display template is applying.
    Can anyone help me on this. Do we have any issues/limitations on file size for Search Results.

    Yes,SharePoint Search crawl component downloads metadata and content from a document until it reaches the maximum document size. For Excel documents, the maximum document size is 3MB. And you can change the limit for the maximum document size, but it does
    not affect Excel documents.

    Hi Kavya,
    Try to apply the predefined template in these methods
    In the menu bar goto Report-> Template Expert. A new dialog appears, choose any of the predefined template. If this doesn't work then apply manually by clicking on the Browse button in the same window.
    By default, the sample templates shipped with Crystal Reports are installed at
    \Program Files\Business Objects\Crystal Reports 12.0\Templates.
    If this also doesnt work, then your template files might be corrupted. Try reinstalling the software n check.

  • Client ADI Not Applying Template when Publishing to Excel 2007

    We have ADI 7.2.3.09.06 - 32 bit with Excel 2007 on a select users Laptop. This is connecting to Oracle 11i.
    When we publish reports to Excel it will load Excel 2007 but open the template without applying the report that has been run. So all we see is the actual template, not report with information in it.
    One interesting thing is when we publish to Excel it will pull up a "Report Wizard" telling us to drag arrows to separate the report heading, column heading. ADI does not ask this with any other reports.

    Thanks for the tips. As a result I upgraded ADI to 7.2.12 which if I'm not mistaken is supported. This resolved one issue that the user was having (inability to publish HTML) but now when it exports to Excel 2007 it goes to 100% in excel and then everything seems to lock up. We waited 5 minutes but nothing occurred. Is there something I'm missing?
    My next step is to uninstall ADI and reinstall it using a newer base level.

  • Could not apply template to topics

    I was using a template in a RoboHelp HTML help file. Later, I made some changes to the header (changed the header image) and when I tried to apply the modified template, it failed. i.e. it did not get applied to the already existing topics. On the other hand, if I try to create a new topic, the template gets applied. Also, I would like to know how to apply the template for multiple topics at one go.
    I am using RoboHelp HTML X5.0.2

    I'd like to amend Colum's response a bit.
    You only see the advisory Colum mentioned if you choose to change a Template Element such as a Header or Footer from a topic the Template is associated with. Because a change was made at the topic level, the dialog is then triggered.
    If you are making changes at the template level, RoboHelp assumes you know what you are doing and simply complies by updating all topics associated with it silently.
