Tempo change delay! Why is Logic changing the tempo too late?

Anyone a solution for this?
My tempo change is set at e.g. 10.1.1.1 from 60 to 30 bpm. But logic is changing the tempo slightly delayed (about half a second too late.)
It looks like logic is to slow to handle the tempo change on time:
When I restart at 10.1.1.1 with the tempo allready set to 30 bpm, everything is fine. Tempo stays at 30 bpm and is not set to 60 bpm during this 0.5 seconds of delay.
But when I start at an earlier position with a different tempo, I get the wrong tempo again during this 0.5 senconds after the set tempo change at 10.1.1.1

Yeah that was it, I realised straight afterwards (I'm just impatient lol). Thanks anyway

  • Text shrinks if I change the resolution too many times

Hi, I have an strange issue, if i go to Document properties and I change the resolution from 4:3 to 16:9 everything is fine, if I go back to 4:3 the text looks smaller, if I do the same thing over and over again the text don't event fit in the boxes, What is wrong?
A picture is attached with the final result.
    Thanks

Hi, so I have to accept the idea of thinking the resolution that I want before doing any work?
Absolutely. Best practice is to know what your end product is going to be before you start any kind of project.
to me it looks that Keynote should do a better work in that aspect
Its very good at adapting to slide size changes now, earlier versions completely messed up the assets and we had to start over again.

  • Too early for the retina, too late for the non retina? Which one?

    Hi everyone,
Sorry for yet another "Which MBP should I buy" post but I have read through all the of the discussions I can find on this topic as well as around the web.
I am a digital designer who is currently using a PC only because up until now I have never been in the financial position to transition over to Mac.
I am currently trying to decide between getting a a 15" Mac Book Pro or 15" Retina Mac Book Pro.
    15-inch: 2.6GHz
    2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
    8GB 1600MHz memory
    750GB 5400-rpm hard drive1
    Intel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory
    High res anti-glare screen
    versus:
    15-inch: Retina display
    2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
    8GB 1600MHz memory
    512GB flash storage1
    Intel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory
I will be using Adobe CS6 Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver sometimes all at the same time. I occasionally have a video project where I will be using Premiere and After Effects. I am also looking into upskilling myself and becoming versed in at least basic 3D modelling. I am looking at a MBP because portability is important.
Given my job, going retina seems like a no brainer but I have a few concerns:
Speed, processing power - which will suit my needs?
This is an investment for me, I want it to last at least 3-4 years:
Is getting a standard MBP now just too late and bidding in the past?
Will resale of a standard MBP suck in 3-4 years?
In 3 years time will I need an upgrade, and if so, how will I even do this with a virtually unupgradeable (from what Ive read) Retina MBP?
About 80% of the time I plan on hooking up the MBP to a Thunderbolt display - whats the point in a Retina?
If I don't get a Retina and I need to start designing Retina graphics, will I be faced with added dificulty because I use standard MBP?
Is it realistic to assume Retina graphics won't become mainstream for 3-4 years allowing me to bide my time with a standard MBP, upgrading to a Retina later?
At work I use a 2-3 year old iMac and the screen is already magical compared to my PC and it seems to do fine for me. I've been in store and played with both and I am genuinely confused. I just feel like getting a standard MBP is like jumping on a train when it's already reached it's destination.
Budget wise I can afford the base level Retina MBP I outlined above but if I can save money, that'd be ideal. Being me I will automatically chose the best possible solution but I need to be rational about my needs. Someone please help, I just want a Mac!
Thanks in advance, any help is much appreciated

    In general
Retina cannot upgrade RAM.  Storage can be upgraded, but more $ than upgrading the non-Retina unit.
Non-Retina unit can upgrade RAM  base-4 GB to 16 GB for about $85 (cf. OWC.)  HD can be replaced with SSD or larger HD.
Therefore lack of "upgradability" in Retina
    No optical drive in Retina.
The non-Retina has  Ethernet and FireWire ports, and a slot for a secure cable- the Retina  none of these ports.

  • HT202157 I got a faulty remote with refurbished Apple TV I recently purchased. The remote is not working at all. I changed the batteries too, but it is not working at all. I am so disappointed with the quality of Apple.

I recently purchased refurbished Apple TV to save few bucks, but I spend more than what I saved on refurbished one. I would suggest every one not to buy any refurbished product from Apple online store. The remote which come along with the unit is not working at all. I changed couple of batteries as I thought initially that the batteries may not be working but no success at all. I saved $14 on refurbished unit, but in total I have spend $10 to fix the issue but still it hasn't been fixed yet. I have taken an appointment for yesterday at Toronto Eaton center Apple store and again it will cost me atleast $25 again ($15 for parking and $10 for gas as I have to drive from Hamilton).
Does any one else have the same issue like this?

    Amol Soni wrote:
As I said, I tried everything what the manual says, but hard luck. I have taken an appointment for today, lets see what happens.
Also there is no activity on unit when I use the remote. The unit is stuck on the first page itself where we have to choose the language. The unit seems to be fine to me but the real problem is remote does'nt have activity. The IR is not responding while pressing any of the button.
    Good luck with your appointment.
Not much consolation but even new products can have issues and might need a trip to a store to return/replace.
The reason i asked about the LED on the AppleTV is that occasionally it thinks it's paired with a specific remote and ignores others - the unpair keypress I described is quick and free.

  • How do I change the Bridge settings in CS4 from displaying ppi to displaying dpi

Maybe the label in the dialog box on the screen says 'dpi.' But the numbers displayed actually are ppi. There's a reason why they changed the label in later Photoshop versions. To stick with CS2
    i for this reason only
    is just plain foolish.
    What you really want
    i is
    ppi anyway, not dpi. And exactly that's what you're getting---in CS2, CS3, and CS4 ... or any image-processing software.
    Jamie further wrote:

The idiots are the stock agency managers asking for digital images submitted at 300 dpi. That's just plain impossible. And requiring submissions at 300 ppi does not make any sense either because that's just a meaningless number in the image file's metadata. Whether the ppi number in the metadata is 72, 240, or 300 will make
    i absolutely no difference
to the actual image. Got it? Absolutely no difference at all.
Except it will make a clueless stock agency manager happy. So do enter '300' into the ppi metadata field; that sure is a lot easier than to educate a fool. But do not think that the 'DPI' vs 'PPI' labelling in Photoshop's or Bridge's user interface would make any difference. It doesn't.

  • How do you change the phone number associated with apple id

I bought my wife an IPad 2 and when setting it up it said I could change the phone number later in settings.   Now when I get a text-- she gets a copy on her IPad.   I can't see where in settings to change this to her phone number.

The phone number associated with an Apple ID is changed here:
    https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
Click on manage my Apple ID and sign in. Then go to your profile and make the necessary changes.
But your question is a little confusing. Controlling which device receives texts and Messages is done in Setstings
Settings > Messages > Send and Receive from
    Make the necessary changes there.

and change the size too? That is not specific enough. "Change the size" - what will happen to the image itself? Will the image be stretched to the new size? Do you want to keep the original size add empty space around it?

As I can put in a Panel (or Canvas) a BufferedImage? That at least is easy. Add a JLabel with as content an ImageIcon that holds your BufferedImage.

I want to change the style(color, font-size,..) of a button whenever clicked. following function works fine to change the value when the button clicked. What can i do to change the style too.
    <SCRIPT>
    function BtnTestClicked(){

    Hello,
You probaly didnt get any answers because this is a JavaScript question on a JavaServer Pages[tm] forum.
But I'm bored and I only have answers to the 'easier' (its all relative) questions so...
You can access the style properties of an object using objectName.style.propertyName=newValue
    eg. to change color:
    document.form1.BtnTest.style.color="green";
    http://javascript.internet.com/ to learn more.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can I get my installed plugins to show up in Logic after ive installed the plugin discs? ive tried changing the bit mode. it STILL doesn't work.???

I tried installing a program but when i open logic and scan the audio units, it doesnt come up. Even if i change the bit mode, it still doesnt show up. I even tried restarting my machine..Can anyone help me or give me some ideas.
i just wanna get this plugin to work.

Have you confirmed that the plug-in installed to one of the locations where Logic might find it? Most plug-ins go to /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components. Some (rarely) install to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components (where "~" is your user folder). Look in both locations and see if the plug-in is actually there.
When installing plug-ins, if you are offered options as to what format to install, be sure to include Audio Units. Logic will not see other formats like VST, RTAS, AAX, TDM, etc. If you use other software that recognizes those formats, it's fine to install them too, just be sure you don't deselect Audio Units.
Finally, if you're sure the plug-in is installed to the right place, open the Audio Units Manager in Logic and check to see if the plug-in passed validation. Go to the main menu and choose Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio Units Manager. Check to see if your plug-in is listed there. If there's not a check mark next to it in the "Logic" column, that means it failed validation. If so, the "Compatibilty" column will tell you why. Keep in mind that if the AU is 32-bit, you have to launch Logic in 32-bit mode to see it here. Likewise, 64-bit plug-ins show up in the manager in 64-bit mode.

  • Can I change the delay or pulse width on a trigered pulse on the fly in DAQmx

In the old DAQ driver you could not change the a triggered pulse delay or pulse width on the fly of a as there was a problem in the DAQ driver or was this a hardware problem?
Is this now possible with DAQmx , if not why not as you could do this with the old 16 bit cards in dos by updating the registers.
This has been a major problem with NI counters timers and one would have thought that by now this problem would be fixed. We need to do this with out stopping and restarting a task.
    Any help here.

    Hi Colin,
Please can you try the suggestion in this KB. hopefully it should still work with what you are doing. I can not find any information specifically on what you want to do with a triggered pulse. However this example program might give you some hints as well.

  • Changing the logic board

will I lose my apps in my macbook pro if I change the logic board? For example, I have Logic Pro 8 on my macbook pro. My mac didn't turn on anymore, I went to the Apple store and they told me that I need to change the logic board. If I get the logic board fix, or replaced, will I lose my apps (Logic Pro 8) or will the app still be on there? Please respond because I don't want to lose my projects and the software.
    Thanks

Not off topic ... this is *YOUR* post ...
To start, you can sell your old one for the parts that still work (SuperDrive, display, ...).  Gives you some money back on a new one.
And PLEASE do not read my following statements as "just pay to fix it" ... I am just stating facts and I for one would probably buy new and sell old for parts
Second ... *most* new units come with Lion, and due to the firmware (PCs have BIOS on EPROMs, Machas "EFI Firmware), getting anthing less than Lion to run is tricky (just look up the number of existing posts on this subject).  Some have successfully pulled it off, but it all sounds complicated and I like haing an SL-initial unit.
But do not despair ... some people have hoarded stocks of MBP that can easily run SL because they actually came initally with SL so gray install disks come free.  If you start a post asking who knows these vendors, you should get an answer.
Also ... with apologies if you did not know this (as if you had no read anythingthing else I wrote) ...
Lion does not support PPC software anymore because Rosetta is not supported.  Could be higher software replacement costs if you do not intensely look for one of the few SL-initial MBP.
If you want to and want to avoid Lion (I have no valid opinion on why you should ... just saying if you want to) then start a thread on "Who knows the venors of existing pre-Lion MBP?".
I only mention the Lion issue because even if you put your old HD into an external enclosure, Lion-ready systems may not boot off that old system with applications you already have installed, and you wold be reloading all apps anyway.
I will stop so you can catch up, and ask more.
Or just jump straight to my recommended post and ask your question about saving old HD and SL-ready MBPs.
