Tempro v3.3.3 fails to install on Windows 7 64bit
Hi,
When I try to install Tempro 3.3.3 on Windows 7 64bit it stops after the third step, ends the installation and gives the error: "The installation has ended due to an error" and then the installer exits.
Running as admin and/or in 'compatibility mode' does not change anything. My account is the only user and it's the administrator account.
Any idea's?
Thanks,
Roel
Hi Xaver,
yes, I have read all above.
I think its not a problem with with the installation itself, but on my system I have tried out as many as I can.
Deactivation of firewall and virsuscanner, closed all programms, cleaning registry and so on. All on adminstartion account.
But nothing helps.
After the window "Willkommen beim Intsallationsassistenten fr Toshiba TEMPRO" and confirmation with "Next" a messagebox with "Vorzeitiges Installationsende aufgrund eines Fehlers" is displayed and the installation exits.
My system is a WIN 7 Home Premium 64Bit on a Toshiba Qosmio X500.
What else can I do?
Best regards
Rolf

Update KB2685811 fails to install on Windows 7 64bit
Update KB2685811 fails to install on Windows 7 64bit FROM WINDOWS 8.1
Hi,
Based on my research, this update package only applies to Windows 7 and Windows server 2008 R2. Windows 8.1 doesn't support this update.

HP C309 G AIO can't install in Windows 7 64bit running under BootCamp
HP C309 G Printer wont install in Windows 7 64bit running under BootCamp on a new iMac
Just bought a new iMac. Installed HP C309 all in one without incident on the Mac side. I am also running Windows 7 on iMac through a program called Bootcamp. When I boot to Windows 7 and try to install the newly downloaded software for windows 7 from the HP site, it begins to load then stops, giving me two error messages. They are both essentially the same except one says software and the other says hardware. The software one says: This computer does not have the necessary USB software support to allow completion of a USB installation. The printer plugs directly into the monitor in one of four usb ports. All the usb ports work on the system when using Windows 7. I have other devices working and plugged into the usb ports while in Windows 7. It is almost like the printer software is unable to find the usb software or hardware. Any ideasWell, you have a full Window's 7 install so you would really have to go to HP and/or Microsoft to see what is going on. Bootcamp basically is only involved with "booting" and just installs Apple product drivers and such. Just treat the Window's side as if you are using it on a "normal" Window's PC. (As far as problems, crash's, updates, or any other Windows, HP, etc, problems you may have.)
"Installed HP C309 all in one without incident on the Mac side."
So,,, that means the printer "works" (prints) on the Mac or the installer just worked? Make sure the Printer actually prints in the Mac side as you may have a dead USB port on the Printer. It happens.
If your HP works fine (prints) in the Apple environment you know it's not the USB ports on either the printer or the computer.
You said you already downloaded the newer versions, have you tried using the drivers on the install disk and then update them to the newer ones? Also if you haven't yet, make sure the drivers are for the 64bit version, just a thought.
That's about all my brain cells have so good luck....... -
Bootcamp 2.1 won't install on Windows 7 64bit
I downloaded the 64bit Bootcamp and tried to install on Windows 7 64bit Retail Edition (RTM) and Bootcamp won't run. I tried compatability mode for Windows Vista 64 bit with and without SP2.
I need sound drivers. Everything else works on my Mac.
HELPInstall RealTek drivers for sound.
Maybe the 2.0.x Boot Camp drivers didn't get installed. You have to have those first.
Also.... 2.1 is OLD as the hills and was only for SP3 really, nothing there to improve on W7 or Vista SP1/2. -

Windows Search Service failing to install on Windows Server 2008 R2 Terminal Server
Hi,
I am unable to install the Windows Search Service on a Server 2008 R2 Terminal Server. I want to install this to enable indexing options within Outlook 2013 for all users.
Server Manager > Add Roles > File Services > Select only Windows Search Service > Install.
The error I receive: "Attempt to configure Windows Search Service failed with error code 0x80070057. The parameter is incorrect."
Thanks,
BjornHi,
I did the test and could install the Windows Search Service without problem.
Which role did you installed on the terminal server?
Did you try to install it on another windows server?
Regards.

Another Failed CS5 Install in Windows 7
I have seen many users post similar problems as mine. The StartSrvice fails then the certain values aren't set in the database that lead to fatal SQL errors. The thing is CS5 had been installed and running on this same machine before. I simply had to replace a drive that died. I used the Acer replacement disks to install Windows and then installed CS5. Now, with the same set up, the install fails. s
The fatal errors involve the failure of the installer to create the database begining with ArkServiceControl;SERVICE. I ran PC Doctor on the drive...in fact on the whole system and everything passed. Given that so many people have this problem it has to be the installer...at least the 64 bit installer although as I said, I installed and ran this prior to the drive going bad. That was a 1.5 TB WD drive abd this is a Seagate 1.0 TB drive.
I have installed this first with all background applications on and after uninstalling it, installed it with background apps off. I also tried disabling all non Microsoft services. (Just in casr there was a program or service that was stepping on the install process)
This is crazy and I have tried everything I can think of. Has anyone solved this issue? What does Adobe have to say about all of the problems users have had with the 64 bit installer? I have this expensive program but can't use it and I have a lot of editing to do.
EDIT: Actually even with the rrors including the FATAL ones, Photoshop opens. To me a fatal error means the install ends without completing. What effect do these error have on the performance or the capanilities of PS?
I am running Win 7 64 bit on an Acer 3450 with 6GB RAM)

Message was edited by: randyd42The original install was on a newly created Windows system so there wasn't anything to uninstall. Then I ran the MSFixIt that reported no problems. The uninstall from when I did have the failed CS5 install cleaned everything out. My system is working. I installed my NIK software and it's seems fine. I don't know what functionality I am missing because of the install errors.
Hopefully someone will know!
Thanks!

USB Console (Serial) Driver fails to install on Windows 8.1 x64
The USB console cable driver v3.1 will not install on Windows 8.1 x64. Had a similar problem with Windows 7 x64 but this was fixed using Greg's (greggar25) excellent step-by-step procedure (see post: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11492306/usb-console-driver-install-failing).
I am using the driver from this link: http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=282774228&flowid=7442&softwareid=282855122&release=3.1&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
I followed the same procedures I did for Windows 7 and the install goes without a hitch. Reboot and connect the USB cable, opened Device Manager and now I have a COM Port randomly appearing and disappearing with its number incrementing well above 1,000.
A few times while it appeared for a few seconds, I was able to right click on the properties, update the driver and chose Cisco Serial and it settled down but it did not assign a COM port. Then a few seconds later, it starts the disappearing/reappearing thing again.
Anyone have luck getting this to work with Windows 8.1 x64?Hi,
open Device Manager by simply typing the words on the Windows 8.1 Start Screen. The Search Charm opens and click Device Manager in the displayed list.
In Device Manager a new hardware category, CiscoUsbConsoleWindowsDriver, is displayed. It has two components: the Cisco Bus enumerator and the Cisco USB to Serial adapter. Expanding the Ports hardware category shows a new Cisco Serial port.

Look into below
https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11492306/usb-console-driver-install-failing
1) Install the usb console driver\windows 64\setup(x64)
2) Follow the wizard and accept the defaults
3) Restart the computer (the installer usually says it needs a restart)
4) After restarting the computer, plug in the usb cable
5) The computer should say installing Device driver software and fail at the Cisco Virtual Comm Port00
6) Click the Windows button, right click computer, manage
7) Under Computer Management, Click Device Management
8) Go to Ports (COM & LPT)
9) You should see the Cisco Virtual Comm Port00 with a Yellow Exclamation point on it
10) Right Click on the Cisco Virtual Comm Port00 and select Properties
11) Click the Driver Tab
12) Click Update Driver
13) Select Browse my computer for driver software
14) Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
15) Choose the Cisco Serial Driver
16) Device Driver is installed successfully, take note of the com port it is using and enjoy.

ITunes 11.1.3 download fails to install for Windows XP
Currently have iTunes 11.1.2.32 installed on a Windows XP SP3 PC. Control Panel lists version as 11.1.1.?. After downloading 11.1.3 install fails because "older version can't be removed". Uninstall of older version from Control Panel also fails.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
Itunes 11 failing to install on Windows 8.1
I recently tried to update my Itunes prompted by Apple Update program. Since then Itunes fails to install. My question is why did Aplle prompt me to update a software package that will not work when the initial version was working fine.
I did not see any need for updating and now I can not synchronise my iPAD with my PC.
I notice similar problems from many people.
Can someone at Apple please provide a working solution to this problemThough I am not from Apple, I can provide you with another user's very helpful page: Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

System Update 5.0.2 fails to install on Windows 8.1 Preview
I am trying to install System Update 5.0.2 on a W520 running a fresh install on Windows 8.1 Preview. Solution Center is already installed. No other software has been installed on this box, other than standard windows updates.
When I try to install SU5.0.2, I can get to the EULA screen, click on the "I accept ..." toggle, Next button enables, but does nothing when I click it.
Any suggestions on how to SU5.0.2 to complete?
Thanks.
Tom

Solved!
Go to Solution. So first of all you solution.
open Command Controll (CMD) (i would recommend in administator mode)
navigate to the folder where you saved your "systemupdate.exe"
type systemupdate502-06-26-2013.exe /s /a /v"/qn"
(this will install System Update silent. For more inforamtion about that you should visit the microsoft support)
Now wait a bit (depends on how fast your maschine is)
Now open Metro, press this new little "down arow" and there you must find your installed systemupdate
So and now a few words more:
I had this same Problem on a Leaked Final Windows 8.1 version. This means when in October Win8.1 will offical realease, Systemupdate will not work. I think lenovo should go back to his roots and provide the best support they could instead of blocking all work to Windwos 8.1 Threads. I know many people that buy your Laptops only because of the good support. -
Help! CS 5 & 5.5 both failing to install in Windows 7 64-bit with Illustrator?
I am running WIndows 7 64-bit SP1 in a Macbook Air 2011 model using bootcamp.
I have been unable to install either Adobe Collection CS 5 or 5.5.
In both cases, once the installer reaches the stage when Illustrator is being installed, the installer will crash and error out, with an unexplained error code (-1).
I have already disabled UAC and system firewall.
Is this a specific problem with CS 5 or some weird incompatibility with MacBook Air drivers?
Please help! I just spent a lot of money on this software and I can't even install it. > (I've ended up using the new production release of Apex Listener with Glassfish.
Good work on the new installation instructions, they are much more informative.
My major hurdle with Glassfish was attempting to use the JDK that came with 11gr2. It took a colleague to spot I was using 1.5.x instead of 1.6.0.20 - I sourced this version from my Windows 7 64bit install.
Now to attempt installing 10gR2 with Apex3.2 on the same box
