Tempro - which version? 32 or 64 bit?

Hi everbody,
I am going a bit crazy with my new A660.
When I bought the machine there was Win7 Home installed and some Toshiba stuff, which is faaar too technical for me.
Since I bought the machine in the Czech Republic (where I am resident) everything was in Czech. But I am a native speaker of German and so I tried to "convert" into German.
I bought a Win 7 ultimate, installed the 64 bit version and switched the language to German. I then (tried) to switched Tempro to German, and (tried) to install any and all updates Microsoft and Toshiba suggested I need. Endresult of this is, that the machine communicates with me partly Czech and partly German, AND more importantly, several programmes (or components) seem to be in 32 bit version (e.g. Tempro, NvidiaPhysX, Java). I also see on the Systems Page (Windows), that I seem to have two (2!!!) Tempro installed, one saying "32 bit", one not specifying anything, but on the Programme remove/repair page I find only one (1) Tempro.
Not to mention, that I am not able to register my machine with Toshiba - programme always says "not possible".
Does anyone see from this info, what I am supposed to do?

I cannot explain why this happen but I have noticed the same on my Satellite Pro U500. In control panel (Systemsteuerung) I see two entries for Tempro and one of them is 32bit. I saw also 32bit entry for Mal and NVIDIA display driver. I dont know why this happen but it has nothing to with functionality and all components work properly.
Fact is that Tempro is listed one time in Programmes and Features and it is OK.
So dont worry about anything. If Tempro works properly and you are happy leave it.
What to say about blue screen? All offered drivers are absolutely the same as driver packed in original recovery image you gt with your notebook. If some newer version is offered on Toshiba download page it is also offered in newer recovery images with notebooks produced after your A660. So it is not easy to say why this happen.

If you have only a single home, the quickest/easiest way is probably just to check the properties of %ORACLE_HOME%\odp.net\bin\2.x\oracle.dataacess.dll

Oracle Developer Suite (ODS - Forms 10g) 10g R2 (ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1.zip) is not certified on Windows 7, however it will work. Oracle has certified Forms 11g (Fusion Middlware 11g R2) for Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit).
You can make ODS work on Windows 7, but you have to change a few things before installing to make it work.

This is a fairly common bug (not just with Oracle). The Oracle installer was written to check for a specific version of Windows rather than check for a minimum version of Windows.
Fix 1: Right-click the Oracle setup.exe and select Properties and then click the Compatibility tab and select "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP SP3".
The Oracle installer also is unable to check the amount of Virtual Memory (VM) available when the VM is set to "System Managed."
Fix 2: Open the System Control panel (Start => Control Panel => System OR press Windows Key and Pause Break key). From the System Properties window, click the Advanced tab and click the Settings button under Performance. Change the Virtual Memory settings to 2048mb min and 4096mb max. Then save and restart your computer. See Microsoft - Change the size of virtual memory for more information on changing the VM. (Note; after the installation is complete, you can - and should - change the VM settings back to System Managed.)
Lastely, the Oracle installer is not designed to work with the Windows 7 User Account Control (UAC) functionality.
Fix 3: Right-click Oracle setup.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
Done, now you are ready to run the Forms 10g setup again.
As I mentioned above, Forms 11g is certified with Windows 7 and is also the only supported version available so you might want to skip Forms 10g and go straight to Forms 11g. For this you will need to download and install WebLogic Server (WLS) 10.3.5 and Fusion Middleware (FMw) 11g R2. Install WLS first, but do not run the configuration at the end of the installation. Then install FMw and run the configuration during this installation. Also, you will want to run both installers "As Administrator".

I just downloaded VMWare Fusion 5 and am in the process of getting Windows 7 from the Microsoft Store. Which version of windows is needed to run properly on my Mac - 32-bit or 64-bit? I believe it's the .iso application too, right?

32 or 64 makes little difference, and when you are not running Windows (Fusion) your Mac has all the power it had before you installed Windows.

Usually you are going to have 4GB RAM or more, may as well just buy Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1. Whether retail (which btw does come with both 32/64 media) or OEM System Builder.

you really have only one choice, Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium but you can save by buying the System Builder edition.

Is it just me that finds the latest version of iTunes a bit rubbish? Is there any way to have a playlist open in a new window?

Is it just me that finds the latest version of iTunes a bit rubbish? I'm used being able to open a playlist in a separate window in order to browse through my music and easily drag and drop tracks into the playlist (in a separate window). It also meant that I could search and play the contents of my main library and just drag and drop into a large space AND easily hit the stop button and instantly hit the pay button to just start a new tune from a new playlist. Now you can only press pause / play / pause and so on. If I want to view the contents of a playlist while listening to another I need to navigate to it which takes me away from what I'm doing in the other. It just makes for a lot of clicking and navigating around the houses when I used to be able to have multiple windows.
I'm an avid music fan and just love organising my music to make finding / listening to my favourites eaiser.
Maybe I'm just a bit thick and not using the software correctly, but it seems that a lot of handy features have been either removed or replaced with inferior ones (at least for me anyway). I appreciate that probably for most generic general music goers this isn't an issue, but for me it is.
A rather long winded way of asking if anybody knows if it's possible to have multi-windows open, but also a chance to have a public moan about a great piece of software that has been updated and gone backwards - a bit like the iPhone google / apple maps situation!

I want to download the 1080p film version via iTunes on my PC for my iPad 3. But which version am I getting ?

I've just bought a new iPad and want to give it a run through with a 1080p movie, so I chose Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I have a ceiling on my broadband download of 20GB/month. I wanted to download the movie once onto my PC via iTunes and then sync it to the iPad and potentially to my iPhone 4S. However, when I think I've done this download, I look and it appears, by the size of the download I've just got the SD version on my PC. I've subsequently gone back in and checked the box in my preferences to prefer 1080p to 720p. Does iTunes, take a look at the hardware you are downloading to and make a judgement call as to whether it is up to running 1080p ? (My PC is) I've looked a bit more closely at the boxes on my PC iTunes and indeed the buy HD box is grayed out, even I clicked the HD option on the film, and more confusing is the fact that in the HD description there is only a 720p version listed. Now when I go to my iPad, which I synced, there is a 1080p version listed there in the iTunes store, and it tells me that the film is downloaded to my iPad. So does anyone know which version I have on my iPad, and why on my PC version of iTunes (which is 10.6.1.7) there is only a 720p version listed, whereas on the iPad version of the store there is a 1080p version listed ? I guess the moral of the story is download via the device you actually want to use - but I'd prefer not to download multiple versions of the film for different devices and prefer not to download such large files over wifi.

It seems you have not admin privileges on your pc. However, to circumvent that try the following. Right click your favorite browser and choose run as admin. Download the computers appropriate itunes version (32 or 64 bit) from apple's website. Again right click the downloaded installation program and choose run as admin. This should install it.

How do I tell the installed Boot Camp version (Windows 7, 32-bit)?

I installed Windows 7 (32-bit) in a new Boot Camp partition. I see that there are several Boot Camp version updates for 32-bit Win 7 (3.2 from 3.1, etc.). Previously I had Windows XP, and in the system tray at lower right of the screen there was an icon for information about Boot Camp. My Win 7 installation has no such icon. How do I tell which Boot Camp version I am running?
Likewise, Win XP had an Apple utility for setting the startup disk. The only Apple utility I find in Win 7 is Apple Software Update (which shows no updates needed).
What am I missing?

Answered my own question! When I installed Win 7, I failed to install the Boot Camp drivers on the OS X install disk. Did so, and now the Boot Camp icon shows up.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

How to tell: Which version of camera raw do I have?

How to tell which version of camera raw I have? The only Google search I found answering this question refers to is 2 years old and seems to no longer apply. There is no File, Edit etc. menu on the new version of Camera Raw with (Photoshop/Bridge CS6). I do use Adobe Application Manager to do my updates telling me if a new version exists or not, nevertheless I would like to know.

The F key works as described for me in CS6-ACR7.4 with ACR as the window with focus. The same function is available using the double-arrow-window icon at the right of the Preview checkbox near the top right of the preview area.
When in full-screen mode there is no title bar, but when I press the F key or click the double-arrow, again, ACR becomes smaller and I can see the title bar that includes the ACR version and camera model. This is on Windows7-64-bit on a 1600x1050 monitor. Perhaps you’re ACR’s title bar is off the top of the screen so you can’t see it, or maybe ACR optimizes some things if you have a smallish display—do you?
A plug-in is a program that interfaces with another program but is not independently runnable application, itself, bit is independently updatable, so in this instance, Photoshop doesn’t need to be downloaded and installed every time Adobe adds support for a few more cameras.

I am new to programming and when I looked on these 2 sites I don't really know which version I need to upgrade to. I think it is the

As of right this very second, SQL Server 2014 is not supported. SharePoint 2013 supports:
One of the following:
The 64-bit edition of Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
The 64-bit edition of SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1
Hardware and software requirements for SharePoint 2013
Edit: I may be mistaken. It looks like the April 2014 CU adds support for SQL Server 2014. If this is the case generally going with the latest SQL Edition provides you with the latest SQL functionality. I'm not aware of any SharePoint features that would
make use of functionality that is new to SQL Server 2014 but this could change with a future service pack.
