HP Laserjet Pro CM 1415fn crashes and spooler service stops

Hi Guys,
Please assist. I have an HP Laserjet Pro CM1415fn multifunction printer installed on an XP OS. Recently the printer started to print giberish when I tried to print from any application (word, notepad, wordpad, image and fax viewer etc). I also noticed a popoup error message - Run a DLL as an App error. I unistalled the printer software and drivers and restarted, this after running a scan with malware bytes (no detections), and I was unable to get the printer to re-installed after. I keep getting a RPC service not found and Spooler subsystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have checked that all services are running, but nothing is working. After much prodding and poking, I eventually noticed that all errors are directly associated with hppccompio.dll. Even explorer crashes when I try to access printer properties. What should I do? I hope ifnormation was sufficient enough. Also, printer is connected via USB.

I understand you are unable to reinstall the printer software.
I will be happy to help you.
The print spooler is part of the Windows operating system and if it doesn't stay running the printer software won't install or print.
You could try the following steps to see if this will resolve the issue.
Normally with spooler problems the first thing to do is to clear the print queue.
Open a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type cmd and press Enter.
Now type these commands, which are in capitals for clarity:
NET STOP SPOOLER and press Enter
DEL %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\PRINTERS\*.* and press Enter
NET START SPOOLER and press Enter
EXIT and press Enter
If you are still having issues with the print spooler stopped then right click on the start button, left click on explore, open the windows folder, open system32 folder, open the spool folder, open the printer's folder, then delete everything on the right window.
Then go back and try and start the print spooler again.
Run a full uninstall of the printer software. Disconnect the USB cable.
To uninstall from CD:
Go start and select computer.
Right click on the CD for the printer and left click open in a new window.
Double click on uninstall.
Uninstall printer from the C Drive.
Go to start, computer, c:, windows, program files or program files x86, HP, printer name. Double click uninstall. Restart the computer.
Check to make sure the print spooler is running.
Ran the installation again. Don't connect the USB cable until prompted.
If the print spooler stops again you will need to contact the computer manufacturer to resolve this issue.

there is problem with purchase order print priview and spool print output are different.
mean : in me23n .. for a perticular po .. in po priview the TAX VALUES value is 120 coming..
when i am giving print with spool.. the amount value is showing TAX VALUE
is 443..why it is showing wrong..
this is for perticular output type.
why TAX VALUES are showing different in print view and
spool print.

but the valiadtions are happening in standard functional module PRICING.
it is realted script(medruck)...but there is no code point for spool or printer side..
and the issue is realted one PO OUTPUT TYPE..
it is sap standard debugging... when i am debugging the functional module PRICING.
the values are coming dynammically.
help me.

make this setting change:
in SPAD > In the menu Settings -> Spool System
In the others tab check the first check box in the Output Controller block, SAVE and exit

Output differs from Printpreview and Spool ?

Hello All,
Let me tell u my actual problem.
1. When I see the output of the PO in the Print Preview it's coming perfectly.
But when I see the output of the same PO in the Spool it's not the same.
2. For this reason I want to Debug the PO in both the cases i.e Print Preview case and Spool Case.
3. When I'm trying to debug in the Print Preview case it's going into the script and I'm able to check the values. But that'S not my Problem .
My Problem is with the Spool case bcoz I'm getting a different output when compared to that of the Print Preview Output.
4. SO I want to debug the script whn I choose the Spool Option .
i.e Path is : ME22N --> GIve a PO --> Click on Messages Tab --> Select any of the Processed Record and Press Repeat output and --> SAVE.
Before pressing the SAVE Button I pressed /h and started to debug .
But It's not going into the script at all.Instead it is going to some other standard program and creating a spool request.
5. My first Qn is : When viewed from the Spool will it go into the script or not ?
My second Qn is : Hw to debug the script when we are seeing the output from a SPOOL i.e from the Path :
ME22N --> GIve a PO --> Click on Messages Tab --> Select any of the Processed Record and Press Repeat output and --> SAVE.

It seems to be an issue with the Output Device. For the Spool, try to print on a different printer/ or the default SAP output device (SAPWIN device type).
If the output comes correctly, then the issue is with the Driver.

Please select all open PO according to the following conditions - select if the PO satisfies any one of the below conditions:
1) Open Quantity is less than 10% of total quantity
2) Delivery date is more than 3 months in the past
3) Delivery completed indicator is set and delivery date is more than 6 months in the past.
Then a manual decision is required. Best is to develop a report which will display the list and user can select and block from the report itself.
Also, the 10%, 3 months, etc values are depending on the customer. You may want to modify these as suitable.

How to get both OTF data and spool at a time

Hi Experts,
My requirement is to get both OTF data and spool.
In 'OPEN_FORM' i tried passing itcpo-TDGETOTF = 'X'. itcpo- TDNEWID = 'X'.
I was able to get OTF data but spool is not getting generated.
IF i pass only itcpo- TDNEWID = 'X'. the spool is getting generated but not OTF data.
when both the fields are set i.e. itcpo-TDGETOTF = 'X'. itcpo- TDNEWID = 'X'.
the spool is generation is getting supressed.
Similarly when i tried to get OTF data by passing itcpo-TDGETOTF = 'X'. to 'OPEN_FORM' as i need to convert it to PDF and send it to vendors as email ,
The print preview in TCODE ME23n was not getting generated for 'MESSAGE' option 'External send'.
Please suggest me how to get both OTF data and spool at a time.

This one is similar to my question to print and email invoice at same time. I pass itcpo-tdgetotf = 'X' in order to get otfdata and send email with the attachment of otfdata.
Now I have data in otfdata, but when I call print_otf function, I clear out itcpo-tdgetotf, and passed
itcpo-tddest = device_type but I still get error message said 'Handler not valid for open spool request'.
Can you give me a working example that you have otfdata table and print data from that table. I also post my question on other thread

I've got the message below when I click "Processing log" in ME22n.
How should I do?
No processing log exists
Message no. VN052
Diagnosis
A processing log could not be found for the selected output.
Procedure
Possible reasons are as follows:
The selected output has not yet been processed
The processing program did not write a log
System logging has been de-activated for the selected output type (use settings in Customizing for current application for the selected output type)

Delete Job for Job and Spool

Hi,
Is anyone aware of one single delete job for both Jobs and Spools? We can use RSSPO041 and RSBTCDEL separately, but I am looking for a single job. Please let me know.

As Subhash mentioned there is no single report for doing this.
Probably you can create a single job with these two reports being part of it as steps.
That will give you better control or single job to be checked for completion.

Background Job and spool numbers

I have a requirement to schedule a job in background programmatically. Depending upon the end result of the job, two different spools should be generated. The job name and spool names should be given programmatically. these spools should be emailed to a email ID. What will be the best option of executing the above scenario.

Print priview and spool output are different

Hi Friends,
i am facing a problem......for a output type (script realted)
when i am giving print priview for per a PO .. in this priview
2 tax values are showing right.
But when i am generating SPOOL in this that 2 tax values are Showing WRONG..
why different is coming in SPOOL..compare to Print Priview??

Output Type and Spool!

Any ideas, if there is any map between a Output type created under VF02 and a spool processed?
For Eg: If I create 3 Output types Z1, Z2 and Z3 and at background 3 Spools are created then how do we isolate what is the spool number for Z1, Z2 and Z3.
Any thoughts?

In our system, we can see the spool number while displaying the process log from VF02 transaction, in which we can see message number VN342 "Message output with spool request number &". I don't know if there is some customizing/some conditions to generate it or not.
Check in your system if you have this message in the log. If yes, then, to retrieve this spool number, follow these steps :
- Read all records from NAST table where KAPPL = "V3" and OBJKY = SD invoice number. Also apply a filter on the output type KSCHL
- Get record with latest timestamp (by DATVR and UHRVR fields)
- call function module CM_F_INITIALIZE_AND_LOAD with parameters APLID = "WFMC" and NUM = NAST-CMFPNR, which reads all messages for the invoice number and put them into memory
- call function module CM_F_MESSAGES_GET with parameter APLID = "WFMC", it returns messages from memory
- select message VN342, spool is in MSGV1

Is there a way to instal reader xi in a custom made Windows 8.1 pro update.2. august 16' without the printer en spool service.
it isn't possible activate this service. This services isn't part of the O.S.
We only use a Bluetooth printing system.

I wonder why you are asking. Have you experienced specific problems installing Reader having removed (for some reason) these system components? Generally, though, if you remove system components and something doesn't run your only option is to put them back.

SQL and Spool File: low performance (Oracle 8)

I've got some difficulties with the spool function: it works very slowly when I have to write on a file.
In details, a shell script starts the PL/SQL procedure, which starts the spool function that produces a file.dat .
Oracle solves the query and sends out the data immediately. This with 850 million of records for a 20gb final file. The total time to write this file is 8 hours.
May it be a solutions with could to improve this file writing procedure, trying not to use the spool function, like a C program which could work on the memory? In this way it could take fewer time.

Oracle RDBMS does not write to the spool file. The client does (SQL*Plus in this case).
SQL*Plus uses standard kernel calls.
To open/create the file and write data to it:
- open call with flags O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_TRUNC (see open (C System Call) - Code Wiki)
- write call to file descriptor (see write (C System Call) - Code Wiki)
These are standard calls supported by all modern kernels (Unix, Linux, Windows, OS/X, etc). The performance of which is entirely dependant on how fast the kernel can service the call. Which in turn is dependant on the speed of the file system on which these calls operate.
Speeding up a spool type process typically means using async I/O (called overlap I/O in the Windows kernel). The approach being to fetch the next set of data from the database cursor, while writing the previous fetch's data to spool file, at the same time.
Of course, better and faster hardware can also improve the performance of the I/O subsystem and make such a spool process faster.
