Terminal error user not in sudoers list? Can this list be edited?

I've been trying to unlock a HD on my Mac Pro. I had successfully achieved this for an external HD using Terminal on a different Mac. My Mac Pro initially would not launched Terminal and displayed the error "The Administrator has set your shell to an illegal value. I repaired that by copying /ext/shells~orig over /ext/shells, which was empty. I can launch terminal now, but when trying to use a sudo command, I'm told my userid is not in the sudoers list? I would like to know if anyone can give me specific instructions for fixing or editing the sudoers list so that I can unlock my internal HD and change permissions via Terminal.

Restart the computer with the Command and S keys held down, enter 'mount -uw /' without the quote marks, and then use the visudo command to add your account and the admin group to the list.

The single download means that you won't be able to redownload it from the store without paying, either on a computer's iTunes or an iOS device - it doesn't stop you from copying the audiobook to your other computers or syncing it to your iOS devices, you just can't redownload it. (I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them requiring the one-time download.)
You can download audiobooks on your computer's iTunes and sync them to iOS devices, you do not have to buy them directly on the device (if you do then you can copy them back to your computer's iTunes library by connecting the device and using the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option on your computer's iTunes).
What you are doing to sync them should work i.e.
- connecting the iPad to your Mac
- selecting the iPad on your Mac's iTunes
- selecting its Books tab and selecting the audiobooks that you want to sync to the iPad and syncing/applying that selection.
You should then get an audiobooks option in the Music app on your iPad. If they aren't appearing there then do they show in Settings > General > Usage > Music on the device - if you have audiobooks on the iPad then they should be listed there under an 'audiobooks' heading.
By 'restart the iPad' do you mean a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
You could also try closing its Music app via the iPad's taskbar : Force an app to close in iOS.
And do a soft-reset and retry syncing.

Many people have the same problem. However, there is little or nothing readily available to users. This problem has existed for two or more years. Does anyone have anything to offer about this disturbing problem?

9.0.115 and 9.0.124 and both fail with the policy permission error.
I also tried with and without your crossdomain.xml file but
with the same result. It looks like this file is intended for URL
policy, instead of socket policy. Recently Adobe separated the two.
When I run with the files installed on my dev PC, it does
work, which makes sense because the flash player isn't loaded from
an unknown domain.
I did get one step closer. If a crossdomain.xml in the server
root exists and the socketpolicy file is loaded from the app folder
then the first two warnings disappear. The logs now show:

UPDATE: When serving up the policy file on port 843 using the
example perl script then the socket connection seems to be accepted
and the connect succeeds. After that flex hangs trying to logon to

Internal Error - User not authorized to use the gross profit module

We have a client who has a limited logistics license and just recently moved to 8.8. in the past he could deliver directly from a pick list but now he is getting an error "User not authorized to use the gross profit module". Is this something related to an authorization setting? Before the move this task was not an issue. Please advise.

Hi Gordon, one of our user just experienced the same problem in sales order.
In Form Settings he ticked "Display BP Catalog Number", and while he entered the catalog number he got the same error message.
I'm not sure what this has to do with the gross profit base method...maybe the fields "Gross profit" and "Gross profit base price"? Don't know where to set them up.

If not, you can not change any autohorizations.

I checked the list of installed apps like you suggested (Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Show all apps) but this problem app is not in the list. I have also swiped down on the home screen to search for it, but again it does not show.
While it has not let me download the app (and I just tried it again) it has helped me to eliminate a few things from the list of what to try, and I can definitely conclude that it has not downloaded.
I guess I need to fire up my PC and download it / sync my iPad.

It seems my issue is due to the streams admin user. The streams replication was setup on the objects under these tablespaces. The streams replication was removed and strmadmin user is also dropped. The Sad face icon is usually a very good indication of a hardware malfunction or failure usually with the iPod's Hard Drive, which would also explain the loud clicking noise you are hearing.

You have to remember, where the scroll ball is, there is a small gap which picks up dust and fluff. That detritus gets everywhere and in your case affects the downward scroll.
Adding just a touch Linc Davis's suggestion, after you have vigorously rubbed the scroll ball on the pad, tap it on a hard surface from time to time. Sometimes you will see small amounts of fluff appear. You should also see dirty marks on the pad.

I am working on a video project in After Effects CS4 (with Trapcode Particular preset) that's 2:12 minutes long on a Windows 7 operating
system. I'm finished editing for the most part, but everytime I put the video in Render Queue it renders the video for a few seconds (sometimes minutes) and then stops with this message appearing: "After Effects logged one error: AEGP Plugin Media IO Plugin: MediaIO2 error: 0x4 not enough memory to complete this encoding (5027::12)". After I closed this message I checked the part of the video that did render was where I saved it to be as a normal file on my Desktop. I made this video with 2 compositions: 1 for the actual importing and editing and the 2nd for the rendering and thinning it out (this is because when I import the footage from my camera it's always very wide in after effects) There is nothing particularly abnormal about the video, not very heavy or anything and most of it isn't animated, just film. The size of the source material for the video is about 4.0 to 8.7MB.

First of all, CS4 does not work well with non-production codecs like MP4. Use the Adobe Media Encoder (or something similar) to convert your footage to a production codec (Cineform, DNxHD, Quicktime with the Photo JPEG codec or Quicktime with the PNG codec).
Second, you're running AE on a system with only 2 GB of RAM? Good heavens, man - no wonder it ran out of memory! Upgrade that to 4 if at all possible. (Upgrade to much more than that if you have a 64-bit OS and plan to upgrade AE ever. Although, on a machine as old and slow as that, you might be better off getting a new machine if you want to do anything serious in AE.)
Third, what's your exact version number of AE? You should be on 9.0.2 if I recall correctly.
Fourth, your video shouldn't be looking weird in AE. It's probably misinterpreting the pixel aspect ratio of your footage. Fix the interpretation and you shouldn't have to have a separate comp for changing its size.

AnyConnect error " User not authorized for AnyConnect Client access, contact your administrator"

Hi everyone,
it's probably just me but I have tried real hard to get a simple AnyConnect setup working in a lab environment on my ASA 5505 at home, without luck. When I connect with the AnyConnect client I get the error message "User not authorized for AnyConnect Client access, contact your administrator". I have searched for this error and tried some of the few solutions out there, but to no avail. I also updated the ASA from 8.4.4(1) to 9.1(1) and ASDM from 6.4(9) to 7.1(1) but still the same problem. The setup of the ASA is straight forward, directly connected to the Internet with a 10.0.1.0 / 24 subnet on the inside and an address pool of 10.0.2.0 / 24 to assign to the VPN clients. Please note that due to ISP restrictions, I'm using port 44455 instead of 443. I had AnyConnect working with the SSL portal, but IKEv2 IPsec is giving me a headache. I have stripped down certificate authentication which I had running before just to eliminate this as a potential cause of the issue. When running debugging, I do not get any error messages - the handshake completes successfully and the local authentication works fine as well.
Please find the current config and debugging output below. I appreciate any pointers as to what might be wrong here.

Content Server Error - User not found in Identity Store

Hello,
I am trying to setup an external provider in Weblogic so that I can authenticate users via Oracle Access Manager / Oracle Internet Directory.
I have followed the documentation and created a new provider for my external Provider and called it OIDAuthenticator. I have made sure that the Control Flag is set to SUFFICIENT. Oracle Access Manager is installed and configured. It authenticates my logins and SSO works fine.
The problem is that when I try to create users in OID and then login to Webcenter, I get the following error:
WCS#2012.02.14.07.49.09 : User: tuser03 not found in identity store.
The strange thing is that I am successfully logged in with the correct groups after I click on the ok button on the error popup.
Any ideas???

The error goes away if I add the user to the Embedded LDAP.
This looks like a problem with the Control Flag setting but I can't see what I've done wrong because I have checked the Control Flag has been set to SUFFICIENT for OIDAuthenticator and OIDAuthenticator providers.
Have I missed something?

It's quit urgent i am getting an error while creating the new group in sharepoint

Just for an update i found another thing the same error arrive when i try to change the following
1) Assign new primary administrator through the specific site collection
2) Assign site collection administrator through site settings
I already test the thing with new web application & site collection in other site collection every thing works fine ?

The problem is likely in the user info list on the site collection. Each site collection has its own user info list, and people are added to this with an ID that is unique to that person on that site collection. Go to the following url of your site
collection and check the list.
http://sitecollection/_catalogs/users/detail.aspx
The list of
users of the
site collection _catalogs/users/detail.aspx also
be seen as
/_layouts/people.aspx?MembershipGroupId=0
You can test
whether the
user is
there?
You may also restart the User Profile Services and see id this is resolved.
