Terminal Name is Wrong

In the Terminal window it shows the name of a Windows PC on our office network then the name of my Mac:
joe01:~ GeoffsRetinaMac$
Why has it inserted the name of someone else on the network?
This is a new Mac that I set up from a Time Machine backup of my old computer, so I don't know if this is new, or if I did someting wrong on the old computer.
Thanks for any help.

Nothing whatsoever.

It appears as if my startup disk has been reversed and not using the fusion ssd portion as it should.  At least its now reversed as to what it used to be originally before.  the 128gb ssd used to be on top.  Is my mac booting fusion correctly?  Thank you for responding as I was about to reformat.

  • Error while extending controller: class name is wrong or not included

    Hi All,
I am getting this error while I port my extended controller class to the custom top and assign this controller to the page. I have made sure its the class file that is copied. The directory is correct, the permissions were given using chmod 775. There exists a soft link betwen the custom top and the oracle top as well. What else am I missing here?
Error: oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Could not create Java class: (oracle.apps.ap.oie.entry.webui.XXEntryFlowPageCO) associated with region: (GeneralInformationPG). This is probably because the class name is wrong or not included in project.

:( Started out with that Gyan. If i do give the path with xx. appended to it, it lets me save and when i log back in and there are no changes to the page. I go to the personalise option to find the modification has been overwritten. I was told that this is so because Oracle doesnt recognise the xx.path and since there exists a soft link already the standard path with the new controller name should work.
i have really tried both of these options and am not sure what could be wrong. thanks for all your attempts to help. anything else i can try?

  • My name is wrong on my email.  i cant figure out how to fix it.  Help?

I have started a mobile me account and my name is wrong on the from line. How do I fix this.

Do you mean in your from field or the signature field?
where does it show up...? it wouldn't be on the iPhone as that doesn't show a from field. Check the account details in MM open it up go to settings and check you typed it in right simple as that if it's on someone elses hardware when they recieve an email from you then they need to fix your name in their contacts.

    hi,
you have to capture the IP of terminal.
    for caputing IP address,
    Use the class method <b>CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>GET_IP_ADDRESS</b>
    or
    Use the FM : TERMINAL_ID_GET
    DATA terminal LIKE USR41-TERMINAL.
    CALL FUNCTION 'TERMINAL_ID_GET'
    EXPORTING
       USERNAME                   = SY-UNAME

Can anybody please suggest how to check terminal name for that table in oracle. You seriously expect Oracle to keep a record of all possible technical information about people who create objects on the database? Next you'll be wanting to know which version of MS Windows or Unix they were running, and what Office product they have installed, and whether their client CPU has 2 or 4 cores etc.
Seriously, Oracle only stores basic information about things... if you need more you need to manually ensure things are in place to record such facts.

  • How to get the terminal name of http user?

    Hi Gurus,
I use function TH_USER_LIST to get all online users. But for http users I can only get their IP address, but no terminal name.
I searched the forum and tried the function RFC_IP_TO_HOST. However, when I input IP address it didn't return the terminal name.
The http users are running BW queries in Internet Explorer. FYI.
    Any help is much appreciated!

  • Terminal name from IP address

    Hello everyone!
I'm trying to look for a function module or a way (in SAP) to get the terminal name of a user, using its IP address.
Does anyone know how get this?  Thank you all for your help!
    Felipe

    Hi Srinivas,
Thanks for your reply. But I have seen some of the function modules mentioned on the forum that you referenced me. And it appears that they don't work for user sessions involving a http plugin (SM04), more specific I need the terminal name from an user in ICWC (interaction center web client, CRM).
I'm able now to get the IP address number, but you or anyone else have more ideas to get the terminal name?
    Thank you!
    Felipe

  • Support forum screen names is wrong

My screen name is wrong.  I specified my screen name to be "Jimmy-Jay" but Midler got tacked onto the end.  That came from a question asking me to enter the letters I saw in an image to stop non-human interaction with the support forum.
I looked all over for "my account" or something like that to go into to fix.
    How can I fix this?
    Thanks.

  • Terminal name in extract of SAP Audit Log

Has anyone been successful in including the terminal name when extracting the SAP Audit Log to an external tool?  We've used sample program RSAU_READ_AUDITLOG_EXTERNAL; which works well be does not include the terminal name.
    Any insight would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Eric

    Hi Eric,
RSAU_SELECT_EVENTS should get you the required information. Another alternative is to have a custom program developed by using/activate the user exit in FM EXIT_SAPLSUSF_001 - module TH_USER_INFO and TERMINAL_ID_GET. This way the information can be populated in a custom table and can be used for reporting purpose.
If you are only looking at the active users, you can use USR41 table, which gives you this information.
    Hope this helps!!

There are numerous errors in your script, and it's a large script so there might be more, but these are the standouts for me:
    At line 48 you:
set fileName to get name of startFile
which is fair enough - you then use this to see if the file already exists in the destinationFolder. However, if it does the logic about how to deal with that is flawed.
At line 56 you catch the error:
on error errmess number errnum -- oops (should probably check for a specific error number)
                                                                                              log "Error " & errnum & " moving file: " & errmess
set newName to my getUniqueName(fileName, fakeTrash)
set name of fileName to "this is a unique name" -- or whatever
set name of fileName to newName
--Now move the renamed file to the fake trash
      move file fileName to fakeTrash
--now move the startfile to destination folder
      move file startFile to destinationFolder
                                                                                    end try
    so let's focus on that.
    56: catch the error
    57: log the error
58: generate a new unique filename
59: change the name of fileName to some other string
Hang on, wait a minute.... we already ascertained that at line 48 you defined fileName as a string object that indicates the name of the file. This is just a string. It's no longer associated with the original file... it's just a list of characters. Consequently you cannot set the 'name' of a string, hence your script is doomed to fail.
Instead, what I think you want to do is set the name of the startFile to the unique string. Files have filenames, and therefore you can set the name.
You have a similar problem on line 64 where you try to 'move file filename to fakeTrash'. fileName is just a string of characters. It isn't enough to identify a file - let's say the file name is 'some.psd'. You're asking AppleScript to move file some.psd to the trash. The question is which some.psd? The one on the desktop? in your home directory? maybe on the root of the volume? or maybe it should search your drive to find any/all files with that name? nope. None of the above. You can't just reference a file by name without identifying where that file is. So you probably want to 'move file fileName of destinationFolder...'
There may be other problems, but they're likely to be related - all issues with object classes (e.g. files vs. strings), or not being specific about which object you want.
As I said before, though, I might be way off - you don't say where the error is triggered to make it easy to narrow down the problem. Usually AppleScript will highlight the line that triggered an error. Knowing what that line is would help a lot.

  • How does the terminal name the network interfaces?

I want to know the logic of the bash terminal for name the network interfaces. When I do an ifconfig there are showed multiples interfaces and I don't know which one is the WiFI, which one the Ethernet...
    Thank you!

When I do an ifconfig I get this output:
lo0 Guess this is the loopback address
gif0 Don't know what is this
stf0 Don't know what is this
en0 Is the network, now in my case the wifi
en1 & en2 Guess, reading your explanation that this are the ethernet thunderbolt ports
p2p0 Don't know what is this
awd10 Don't know what is this
bridge0 Don't know what is this
Do you know what are this interfaces? If it helps I have VMware Fusion and VirtualBox installed.
