Terminal Problems - Can't open a new full size window

When I open Terminal, I get a tiny little corner of a window that shows only the Red Close window button. All new windows open the same way. I can't enlarge the window by dragging or menu commands. The Terminal is basically worthless in this state. I have tried trashing Prefs, but to no avail.

Something bad happened to the Monaco font that Terminal needs. Take a look in your /System/Fonts folder, where it should be--have you done anything with font management? Disabled any fonts? Removed some? See this KB article.

There's a reason. Screen captures only demonstrate "what",
without
providing any useful "why" information. Show us your code,
please - best
way would be to post a link to the page. I suspect the reason
you are
seeing what you are seeing is that the container for the
lightbox effect is
not large enough, or the image being used as a background for
that container
is not large enough. We'll only know that by seeing the live
page.

Since I downloaded the latest version my tabs don't work. I can't open a new tab

I downloaded the latest version of Firefox and also the Adobe player and now I can't open a new tab. Windows PC HP laptop

I can't open the new "Purchased" feature in the store. I've downloaded the latest Safari, but I keep getting the error message that the latest Safari has to be downloaded. Anyone have any solutions or have ran into this problem?

Problems using right click to open in new Tab or Window. Will not work. How do you solve this. Have v5.0 installed.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

Can't open a new tab using the little + or ctrl t, have tried the options posted befor, can anybody help?

For the last week or so i have not been able to open a new tab, have looked through a lot of the solutions on here but none seem to have wroked, i have disabled all add ons in the add on manager and removed the ASK toolbar and still can't open a new tab, it is becoming very frustrating!
The only way i can get a new tab open is to click on a somewhere and hope it opens in a new window, can anyone help me solve this issue please?

I click ctrl+t, click the new tab button, right click the tab bar and hit "new tab", and even click "File" and hit "New Tab", but it still won't open a tab!
This has been going on for a week!
I know it may not seem like too much of a problem since I can still open a tab, but it's terribly inconvenient that I can only open one by clicking a link.

The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

I have a problem when I open the new tab?

I have a problem when I open the new tab. Normaly, I open the new tab as click mouse in button near to last page. " new tab" appear with untitled page. But now , It always appear with web sites wich I don't like. So, How can i repare this problem ?

I open a new tab, and click on the bookmark in the bookmark toolbar, and the web site opens in a side bar. I want it to open in the full tabbed window.

I love Firefox, but this problem is frustrating me. I want to go to a favorite site and have bookmarked it. When I click on that bookmark, the site opens in a sidebar! How do I make it open in the full tab window?

You can edit the properties of that bookmark to fix this.
If you right-click it and choose Properties, you will check a checkbox toward the bottom of the dialog that opens the bookmark in the sidebar. Uncheck that and click Save.
Does it work?
(When you use a link on a website to store a bookmark, they get added this way. You can use Ctrl+d or the "star" in the location bar to add the bookmark without having it open in the sidebar.)

Why firefox in my desktop can't open a new tab in the same windows?

I can't open a new tab by clicking the + symbol. I don't know why this happen. If I want to open a new tab, I have to take a right click and then choosing open new tab. I think this is so terrible, I can't access the page on the same windows.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin.
