Terminal resizes automatically - shrinks to 2 lines

when i open terminal in KDE the terminal shrinks down to a miniscule size, when i expand it back, it shrinks and wraps down again a line at a time. IT doesnt do this when its on fullscreen. Wierd behaviour. it doesnt do this in gnome on the same system. xterm isnt exhibiting this behaviour.
I dont use KDE much anymore, just when i need a DE file manager for certain web server operations, so i cant tell you exactly when this began. its a fresh installation, and is dual with gnome.
i looked at some bug reports, but its hard to find any clear answers on those this time around.

Hello all, I just wanted to say that I experience the exact same issue.
When opening "konsole", or really any terminal window, it automatically resizes.
It opens to the proper size to begin with but then slowly just decides to shrink itself - going in and specifying the default height/width doesn't help either. (Note: It was doing this BEFORE I messed with any settings in the konsole config menu).
I have done some research and this does not appear to be specific to Arch, people are reporting it in Ubuntu and Fedora alike.
Furthermore, some people report that it is happening ONLY in the "gnome-terminal" when being ran under KDE and that the workaround for it is to simply use "konsole".
I am using "konsole" though and haven't installed anything gnome on my system.
I would be happy to submit a bug report, but I am not that technically savvy when it comes to any distribution of Linux just yet.

I know this is a link to a redhat page but after trolling these forums for a bit now I am reaching out to the Arch guru's because you guys know your stuff.

Sorry folks, I am an idiot. I actually was using "gnome-terminal" unwittingly. Don't ask how, running konsole fixed it though.
So it seems to be a bug with gnome-terminal under KDE. Kind of makes sense.

Automatic clearing of vendor line after MR8M

Hi
When we reverse vendor invoice (MIRO invoice) using MR8M, SAP does not automatically clear vendor lines. It gives a message as "Invoice successfully reversed, Manually clear FI documents".
Automatic clearing happens successfully when we reverse FI documents or SD billing documents. Issue is only in MR8M.
Is there any solution to enable automatic clearing of vendor lines when MR8M reversal is carried out. I do not want to clear using F.13 or using other transaction like F-44.

Use t.code for F-44 for clearing openitems..There you can enter PO at line item level
u can give PO as reference to process Invoice which is gateway for Payment

 I use ridc to check in file into Oracle Center Content server. There is no problem at the beginning. But after running for several days, there is following error.
I must restart my program to solve this issue.
 Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Can an image resize automatically to fit into a template?

Many (weaker) programs allow you to drag an image into a template and have it resize to fit into a specific area. Can this be done in CS6? For instance .... if you designed a 4x6 Christmas card template and it had a (place holder?) for a 2x2 photograph, and you dragged an image into this 2x2 area, can it resize automatically to "fill" just that 2x2 area? This would result in some cropping of just the longest dimension, if the image inserted wasn't a square.

It can be done with Photoshop Scripting. Note when the inage has a diffenebt aspect ratio or different shape then the template the images is sized to fit and fill the template open and any excess is masked off.
I have a free download you can use. In Photoshop version CS2 through CS5 Below CS2 some required features are missing and there are bugs in CS6 scripting.

Illustrator CS6 resizes automatically on my secondary screen following resolution of my main screen

Hi Adobe team,
I've been having this problem recently, since I updated my OSx to Yosemite.
I have a Macbook Pro and have all my design softwares opening on my secondary attached monitor, as it has a bigger screen resolution.
All was working fine until I updated to Yosemite, now not only Illustrator but also Photoshop windows resize automatically to what seems to align perfectly with the dimensions of my Macbook Pro screen. I maximize the window but after swapping between tabs, or using anything else that's open on my Macbook screen, it resizes again.
I tried to figure this out on other threads on the forum, with no luck.
Any idea of what it can be please?

Here's another piece to this, or maybe new. In CS6 Illustrator, I have a custom workspace that the drop menu, in the Charactere Type pallet, will not show up below the arrow. it shows up in random places on the both screens. If the panel is on the same monitor as the apple menu bar, this is a non issue. If the monitors are the same resolution, I don't seem to have this issue. I can fix it by moving the apple menu bar to the second screen then back. But this only works until Illustrator restarts.

Is there a way to automatically shrink images in an epub file to fit the visible screen?

Is there a way to automatically shrink images in an epub file to automatically shrink to fit the screen in Adobe Digital Editions? This happens automatically with the Kindle and I assume with the iPad and Nook as well. However, the large images in the epub do not automatically shrink to fit the Adobe Digital Editions viewer. Is this an issue with the software or the epub file?

Tty terminal resize

I know it's not a desktop environment, but it deosn't really fit into any other category.
Upon booting to grub and using the option vga=0x318 and/or vga=773 on the kernel boot line, after approximately udev events start up the entire screen resizes to a high resolution, I think it's 1400x1200, and the messages don't reach the end of the screen, they begin to merge into each-other and the tty terminal login screen doesn't change back to the previous resolution. Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause or solution for this problem?

Thank you, that somewhat fixed the problem, grub starts in something around 800x600, then tells me it's switching to a new framebuffer device and changes resolution to something around 1204x768. It no longer has the messages merging, however, which is a plus.

Scheduling Agreement - Automatic Release Individual Schedule Lines

Dear all.
I've create a "LPA" scheduling Agreement and its release type is "JIT". So, I use to ME38 to maintain the individual JIT delivery schedule lines.
The problem I have is this method requires the person to manually release each individual delivery schedule line document on the due date before GR is allowed. Hence, is there a SAP system function that can automatically release any due delivery schedule line document without having to manually track and release using ME38 each day/week/month?

Till now we are using only PO for placing orders to vendor, now we want to use the functionality of scheduling agrement, so that after MRP run, we can get automatic schedule line creation, for this , what are settings required, how system create the automatic schedule lines based on which criteria, second thing while creating on eschedule agrement i found that the conditon which i can add for a vednor in ME21N that all condition are not coming while creating schedule agrement even my vendor is same for PO and Schedule agrement, so what are the setting required for this.

3.In source list for fix vendor,source list usage 2 is to be maintained.

5.Then when you run MRP automatically schedule lines are generated.
For JIT and forecasting maintain creaton profile in OMUP transction.
Assign the creation profile in scheduling agreement.

- Plant should be MRP active.( SPRO)
- Maintain material master MRP views with MRP type , correct procurement type( External).
- Source list to be created for the SA with MRP indicator 2 and fixed indicator check.
- Requirements of the material should fall in the planning horizon, else the schedule lines will not be created.
- On the selection screen of MRP run, select the option 3- Schedule lines for the field Delivery schedules.

Automatic correction of converging lines and volume anamorphosis in lens tab

What would be very useful for architectural photography is to have a feature that detects vertical (and possibly even horizontal) lines like ShiftN does and an automatic correction for them.
If that is going to be implemented it would be good to take the EXIF data into account so it won't be a simple transform that clinches the subject but to have virtual tilt-shift lens in ACR that works according the rules of rectilinear projection for different focal lengths.
While implementing that, it might be a good idea to fix the transform tools that always move the image out of the frame, at the moment to fix this you have to scale down the image by a significant amount loose therefore alot of resolution.
When cropping a wide angle image asymetrically one has to live with different amounts of edge distortion, so the possibility to move around the center and warp the image accordingly again according to the rules of rectilinear projection would come in handy often.
Another useful feature would be a spherical and cylindrical volume anamorphosis correction for extreme wide angle lens in ACR.

Though we do not have a direct volume anamorphosis type of correction at present, for spherical correction you can get a very similar effect by dialing the Manual Distortion slider to the left. I often do this on my wide-angle non-architecture shots (< 30 mm, 35 mm equivalent). This better preserves the relative shapes and sizes of objects at the corners of the image, at the expense of some linear distortion.
In my workflow, I prefer to use the lens profile to correct for rectilinear distortion and vignetting automatically and completely. This gives me a consistent baseline from which to work. Then, I will use the Manual Distortion slider and Post-Crop Vignette tools to deliberately re-introduce distortion / light falloff as desired for the image (presets come in handy here).

Resizing Image in AlertSet. Line Graph

But when I click on zoom icon, the alarm icons are also stretching along with the graph.
Is there a way to resize the alarm icons after the graph is zoomed ?

You set the interpretation type to null. I would set it to one of the two options either: BILINEAR or NEAREST_NEIGHBOUR.
I can't remember which one I have used but I think this will solve your problem.

Automatically checking the subject line (AppleScript?)

My organisation has implemented protective marking of email - basically all email must have a standard classification phrase embedded in the subject line. I have writtten an applescript which will automatically create a clean new message window in Mail with the appropriate configuration - that's easy. I want to roll this out to other Mac users also, and I want to make it robust. The problem is that if users forget to mark their email it won't get out past the server.
What I want to do is to automatically check all outgoing email (preferably sent in the usual way by hitting the Send button), to make sure the subject line is appropriately marked. If it isn't then the mail should be held up and the user should be prompted to add the required marking. I had hoped to be able to do this via a rule - check the subject line for the marking - and if absent run an applescript to add it.
Is this possible? My attempts have failed - everything seems to be geared towards incomeing or received email. Are there better ways? I have no experience developing plugins for mail - are there any templates out there?

Shrinking Vertical Group Lines

When sorting activities by WBS in Contractor is there a way to shrink the vertical group lines. Default colours are yellow and green. They are massive after a few nested groups.
Any suggestions?

From within P. Contractor go to View/ Group and Sort/ and then select the square labeled "Shrink Vertical Group Bands". This will shrink the vertical green/ yellow lines. You may also reduce the font, which will reduce the horizontal green/ yellow lines. Or allow you to pick a better color combination.

Elements 12 video player automatically pauses & video time line

Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to use Premier elements 12 to do a few things & cannot find the answer to a few questions I have & was hoping someone could help me
1) When using the elements video player (one built in) if I start to play a video, it's automatically pauses after about 7 seconds. Is there a way to have it not auto pause?
2) When I bring in a video & look at the "Video1" bar, I notice the video only shows for about 30 seconds & then there is a blue space. How do I get the video clip to show thru out (in the Video1 bar) ?

a. What are the properties of what you are importing into your project, such as...
video compression
audio compression
frame size
frame rate
interlaced or progressive
file extension
pixel aspect ratio
We need that information as it relates to the next question. We could direct you to video audio properties readout program for the information but let us try to get the necessary information from knowledge of the brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded the video.
b. What is the project preset that you or the program is setting to match the properties of the source video?
(See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and tell us what you see for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Rate, Pixel Aspect Ratio - even if the
fields look grayed out).
c. When you are playing your Timeline content in the Edit area monitor is there an orange line over its content.
d. To the left of the name "Video 1" is a filmstrip icon. That represents the video display style. It has 4 different display types. You toggle to get the display type that you want - assumed the one where video thumbnails populate the whole Timeline clip's duration. That is the display type which is seen in the above screenshot. So, one click at a time on the filmstrip icon until you get the preferred video display style. The audio tracks also have display styles - only two different ones not four like the video display style. (For audio, see the speaker icon to the left of the name "Audio 1")
