"Terminal Script has failed" for RoadRunner Dialer

I would like to use Dial Up service on Time Warner Cable RoadRunner when travelling. I've downloaded the RoadRunner Dialer program and have talked to RoadRunner Tech Support several times because I can't connect and continue to get this error message:
Internet Connect
The terminal script has failed. Please verify your settings and try again.
Any suggestions or ideas for me? Thanks!

I can't say exactly what is big binding because it depends on combination of factors: how fast your machine is, how big the Excel model is, how many components you have etc. Generally if you have bindings with several thousand cells it's going to cause the timeout problem. The problem is that we use Flash player in the application, and if some operation takes longer than a minute it times out. So, if getting data from the big bindings took too long, the flash player stops the operation and you have this timeout error.
You see the timeout error only if you have debug version of Flash player installed. If you have release version installed, you don't see any erors, but you notice strange things, for example selecting component on the canvas does not cause property sheet to display. Release version of Flash is faster, so you can try to remove debug flash player and install release and there is chance that it will work.
FP1 version is going to include some optimisations to reduce this problem and allow working with larger files.

I have the following environment configuration:
1. WFC cluster (cluster1) contains 3 nodes - sql1,sql2,sql3
2. sql1 and sql2 can run single shared instance SQL server
3. Node sql3 is a standalone SQL server.
4. AlwaysON is turned on shared instance and standalone SQL servers and availability group have been configured for multiple DBs. So sql3 is a replica of shared instance.
5. All this runs on Vmware as a virtual machine.

Getting multiple mentioned errors for every single DB I'm running my backup maintenance plan against. The maintenance plan gets executed on SQL1 which is shared instance machine.

Yes. I'm doing backup on primary replica in the AlwaysOn Availability Group. And this primary replica itself is a WFC shared SQL instance.
I've double checked Maintenance Plan's History and Agent's logs. No Error, no warning, nothing. And by the way DB full and transaction log backups gets created as they should. By that I mean that 'For availability databases, ignore Replica Priority for Backup
and Backup on Primary Settings' property is turned on and this allows me to do backups from primary replica.
As you've written I've clear the maintenance plan setting ''For availability databases, ignore Replica Priority for Backup and Backup on Primary Settings.', and configure the availability group's AUTOMATED_BACKUP_PREFERENCE setting to allow backup from any
replica for certain availability group. But still nothing. Getting the same error.

Outlook 2013 on terminal server Search failes for all users

we have a small comany with a new Windows 2012 Fileserver and Terminal Server.
Office 2013 is installed and we use Office 365 - Exchange Online as our mailserver.
We use Outlook with the Cached Exchange Mode ON. We have shared our mailboxes with our collegues.
Indexstatus is complete for all the users.
So far the information i have.
I suspect wrong permissions on the Windows Search Folders are the cause of my problems but where can i find the Windows Search Folders which are indexed (and shoot be accesable for the users).

isn't configured in de Indexing options for the users (that might be the problem i guess)

Issue connecting 1131AG - Regulatory domain check has failed for the AP

I have 2 1131AG LWAPP AP's purchased in the UK connecting to a WLC 5508 in the US that is setup only for Country US. I am getting the above error when trying to add Country GB United Kingdon I get an error that 802.11b and 802.11a are enabled and must be disabled to use this country code. I am not sure if there is a workaround for this because I do not want to disable these networks.

Here is the method to change country code:
GUI:
Step 1 Follow these steps to disable the 802.11a and 802.11b/g networks as follows:
a.          Choose Wireless> 802.11a/n > Network.
b.          Unselect the 802.11a Network Status check box.
c.          Click Apply to commit your changes.
d.          Choose Wireless > 802.11b/g/n > Network.
e.          Unselect the 802.11b/g Network Status check box.
f.          Click Apply to commit your changes.
Step 2 Choose Wireless > Country to open the Country page
Step 3 Select the check box for each country where your access points are installed. If you selected more than one check box, a message appears indicating that RRM channels and power levels are limited to common channels and power levels.
Step 4 Click OK to continue or Cancel to cancel the operation.
Step 5 Click Apply to commit your changes.
Step 6 Reenable the 802.11a and 802.11b/g networks
By CLI:
Before you can change the country code of a WLC, you must disable the 802.11a and 802.11b network :
>config 802.11a disable network
>config 802.11b disable network
Now you can change the country code of the controller. For example, we change it from US to IN (INDIA)
>config country GB
After changing the country,enable the 802.11 interfaces.

I have a swf that i can´t change (i don´t own the code and it´s copyrighted). In some cases, I´m getting error 1502, after 30 seconds executing the file.
Is there a way to change or disable the default timeout period? Remember that i can´t edit the .fla...

you can load that swf into another swf and adjust the timeout duration in the main swf.

DNS Fails for NFS Server Shares

When I boot, I get a message that DNS has failed for the NFS server mounts, and the shares do not mount. The message says, "mount.nfs: DNS resolution failed for server: name or service unknown." I have to mount the shares myself. Then when rebooting, I get the same error saying it can't unmount the shares.

Do I need to add some option to rpc.statd, or is there some other misconfiguration there? AFAIK it is the default. What else should I look at to fix this? I can ping the server by name, and log in with ssh by name, just fine. It's only the nfs that is failing with DNS.

The real solution is to not load networkmanager in the background, but to force startup to wait for the networok to be up before continuing.

The filesystem resides on a device that requires network access (used to prevent the system from attempting to mount these filesystems until the network has been enabled on the system).
Alternatively, you could just add a cronjob to do a mount -a with a sleep 20 in there or something. You might have to play with the sleep value a little to make sure it's long enough

Iisproxy.dll throws DLL initialization routine has failed

We are experiencing problems with the Weblogic ISAPI plug-in. After some time
the webserver is throwing the following error:
"A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine has failed" for all JSP requests
(the only ones that are using this plug-in), without crashing the IIS service.
This causes our load-balancers to hit the affected webserver(s) as the IIS service
is running, but the clients (browsers) only seen this error.
Our configuration is the following:
- 2 WLS 4.5.1 SP11 on Solaris 2.5.7 boxes running in a cluster
- 3 IIS4 using the iisproxy.dll from WLS 4.5.1 SP14 on NT4 SP6a boxes.
The plug-in is registered to only serve JSP requests and the "Run in separate
memory space" is checked. Does anyone knows what's the problem? I'm also attaching
the plug-in log.

We figured it out. There's an entry in the registry that lvanyls.dll points to specifying the location of the LV shared directory (and therefore the MKL directory). If it's not found in that exact location, the dll load aborts.
We're trying to not include the runtime installer in our application installer because of the size, so we're figuring out our own workaround (and trying to CYA in the meantime ).

My storage drive has failed with my itunes libary.

I have an external 360gb sata hard drive ina caddy, it has failed, for ref I actually ordered the same drive again to see if I could swap out the control board and get access to all my data but its gone.
I have quite a bit of stuff on my ipod touch 64gb (its the latest one).
Im just woundering were I stand now, can I import from the ipod to the computer, its not a major major headache if I cant, I have a bunch of apps from the last two months I bought from the apple store.
Whats the best thing to do, wipe the hand held and just start again?

Process Chain Failed for Master Data

Hi All,
Process Chain has failed for vendor attributes, when i checked the error no message has shown, and when i check the vendor attribute , there request in RED which is loaded on sunday(it got failed on sunday) again failed today.
I repeated the Process Chain again failed, and i deleted the request which in generated yesterday (sunday) and deleted request from PSA (delta) also (which is RED) trying to Load again It is saying that Last delta update was Incorrect There no new update is possible
It seems there is no load in (sunday) that is why it is giving that message.
Could you please let me know how this problem will be solved.

Hi,
You need to mark the failed request as "red". Then go to the infopackage and rerun. If it still fails, check the error message in the monitor. In the monitor, click on the failed load, go to the status tab and then click on the error message button. It will tell you the exact error.
Most probably, the error is datasource does not support mode R. (Repeat of last delta). In which case, you need to reinitialiize the datasource. Most master data datasources do not support repeat of last deltas. Hence if the delta's fail, then you need to do a reinitialization.

Logic Board has failed 3 times...2011 MB Pro 15 Inch

So I have recently had a ton of issues with my MacBook and it is really starting to get annoying. I had my logic board replaced in March of this year. The repair cost me around $350 as the warranty was up. The logic board failed again at the end of August. I brought it back in to the apple store and they replaced the logic board again, but for free this time. I was extremely impressed with their customer service, they even replaced my display which had a small crack. Everything worked good as new until last night. Once again the same issues as before, so obviously they logic board has failed for a third time, which is a little ridiculous in my opinion. I will be taking it in to the apple store after work today to see what's going on.
Three logic boards in the span of half a year can't be normal...Is this a sign of some other issue? Is it time to ditch this POS and get a PC? Could it be something I'm doing on my end? I rely heavily on my laptop for work and need something that consistently works. Apple's customer service has been top notch through all of this, however the actual product has not been. I would love to hear other's opinions/experiences with similar issues.

Perhaps - and I mean PERHAPS - you'll be offered a replacement unit this time around: it all depends on how the manager is feeling that day. A number of 2011 models have had three logic board replacements and USUALLY the fourth time around, folks are offered a new replacement unit.
Don't count on it but if it comes down to pleading with a manager, DO IT!

Does anyone have access to the Roadrunner dial up script for Mac?

I'm getting authentication error when connecting to Roadrunner through their dial up service. I'm told I need a dial up script. The URL they provided leads to a file not found error.
I would also appreciate knowing where I would put this script once I get it.

There is no dial-up script for RR. There's a dial-up script for the modem you are using, and that's selected in the modem configuration through Network preferences.
Authentication errors occur when the userid and/or password provided for the dial-up account are not correct. They are not caused by the dial-up script itself unless RR uses some sort of non-standard authentication dialog. It's been a long time since I ever used their dial-up, but I don't recall they used a non-standard dialog at the time.
In earlier versions of OS X it was possible to open the dial-up terminal manually so you could observe the remote dialog and enter responses to the dial-in procedure. You could then save the resulting dialog into a login script that would be used once the dial-up connection was made. Unfortunately, I haven't used dial-up in several years, so I'm afraid I'm not much help in this regard. You could do some exploring in Mac Help from the Finder's Help menu to see if you find a help article.

I've encountered issue during installation of SP1 to SQL Server 2012. After upgrade I'm getting this error in Event Log:
Script level upgrade for database 'master' failed because upgrade step 'msdb110_upgrade.sql' encountered error 537, state 3, severity 16. This is a serious error condition which might interfere with regular operation and the database will be taken offline.
If the error happened during upgrade of the 'master' database, it will prevent the entire SQL Server instance from starting. Examine the previous errorlog entries for errors, take the appropriate corrective actions and re-start the database so that the script
upgrade steps run to completion.
Can someone point me direction how I can fix it? This is a production server and currently only way to make it working is to use T902 flag in SQL Server startup params. I've found some suggestions to check Data path if it exists but it does so this is not
the issue here. Any ideas?

Before sending my message I've searched update script for "FROM master.sys.master_files" and I found script which you are showing me. I've made some digging and when I runned:
       SELECT physical_name
       FROM master.sys.master_files
       WHERE (name = N'master')
it returned also path to one my customers database name which has filename set correctly but it's Logical DB name is master and mastlog. I'm running shared hosting company and I allow my customers to restore their DBs from .bak files but I have no idea why
this customers logical name is set to master and mastlog. Probably when I change this names update script will work as it should. On the other hand in my opinion there should be some kind of fail safe mechanism for situations like this one.
EDIT: After changing logical name for DB and log for mentioned DB your script runned fine so probably now when I remove T902 flag and restart my SQL Server update will run correctly. Big thanks for resolving this issue.

i am trying to connect to my corporation VPN Server " ISA 2006" using windows 8.1 client built in VPN, but its returned the following error:
Event ID 20227: dialed a connection named "VPN connection Name" which has failed. The error code returned on failure is 789.
VPN connection is working fine with windows XP and windows 7 with no issue , this error is only appear when try to connect to using windows 8 client machine.
this error is shows only on windows 8.1 client , same procedures used to enroll the certificate from internal CA " IPsec Type" is followed .
below are the ISA server specifications:
VPN Server : ISA 2006.
windows Server version 2003.

i would like to add another point for this case, that when we are trying to enroll a certificate from internal CA web enrollment directly using windows 8 " internet explorer 11" , its install a certificate without Digital
Signature and non-repudiation in key usage property, then when try to connect , its will give the above error 789 ..
when try to enroll a certificate into windows 7 " internet explorer 10" and then export and import this certificate into windows 8.1 machine "with the name of
windows 8.1 machine" into windows 8.1 machine, the VPN is working normally and without issue.
The properties of the Certificate are difference between windows 7 machine and windows 8 machine is key usage missing the Digital Signature and non-repudiation properties when enroll
