Terminate CAL instance error - AWS credentials

Hi there,
I'm on a slightly misleading 'free' Fiori course via openSAP.
Once I realised 'free' meant that I may be charged hundreds of dollars by AWS I canceled/closed my AWS account.
Unfortunately I can't seem to now delete my CAL instance because it's trying to verify my credentials with my non-existent AWS account
Not quite sure how to get me out of this? Is there anyone that can help?

Hi Rob,
The “undefined” instance stayed in SAP CAL although no VMs left in AWS after the terminate operation. The SAP CAL Team is working on a solution to clean-up such instances.

My CAL instance of openSAP Course: Introduction to Software Development on SAP HANA 2013.01 is stuck in Activating status. I had previously deactivated my AWS account, and have now reactivated it. I got an error when trying to active the instance that my AWS account did not have the services required for the instance, and now I seem to be stuck in between creating the instance and the instance actually getting created. My AWS account is active, and I entered the security keys on the CAL side, but it is not working. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Eric,
The instance entered in a state that does not allow to disappear from the list after the termination. We (the SAP CAL Team) just fixed the instance manually and it should disappear from your list. I also would suggest you to double check that there is no created instance in AWS console also.
Now you can create a new instance.

CKPT: terminate the instance due to error 220

Hi,
I was working on one instance.
That is on 8.0.6 and on windows .
Suddently connection break and now it is showing end of communication file
then i checked in alert log it is shwoing that

My first suggestion would be to upgrade to software that is not older than you are. <g> Likely 8.0.6 is unsupported on the operating system and hardware on which you are running it.
It would also be my second, third, and fourth suggestions.
8.0.6 has not been supported during the current century.
And while I am sure this is not the advice you hope to hear it is the best I can give. The product is Paleolithic.

SAP CAL Activation with AWS - Failure

Following Instruction for Getting Started. Followed SCN documentation
Created user, Assigned two groups with with all four policy's @ IAM
SAP CAL still fails to validate.
Also wonder if there is more than one user, How does Cloud Application library authenticate the correct user in AWS.

This particular solution has two VMs and you were able to create only one of them because of the following error:
Operation Start failed on step Start Virtual Appliances with message: Start failed for VM SAP ERP 607 on SAP HANA SPS07 due to Amazon Web Services issue : AMAZON : Your account is currently being verified. Verification normally takes less than 2 hours. Until your account is verified, you may not be able to launch additional instances or create additional volumes. If you are still receiving this message after more than 2 hours, please let us know by writing to [email protected] We appreciate your patience. (Service: AmazonEC2; Status Code: 400; Error Code: PendingVerification; Request ID: cec64f67-b058-46ad-a813-be175b78b7fc)
This put the solution instance in status INCONSISTENT and the following Suspend and Resume operations will change the status of the existing VM but will not bring the missing VM up. To do so you may terminate this instance and create a new one. A couple of days should be enough for the AWS verification. If not, I would recommend to contact [email protected] as the error message advises.

SAP CAL HANA errors

SAP HANA, developer edition 1.0 SPS 09 created from SAP CAL running on AWS.
I am receiving the following errors when executing a query in HANA via jdbc.
The first execution runs for 6 minutes then produces this error:
Caused by: com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException: SAP DBTech JDBC: [2]: general error: Allocation failed $REASON$

I re execute the query it runs for 25 minutes then produces the same error.
Then the instance is unresponsive.
If I look in HANA studio general overview there is plenty of memory and cpu available to the HANA instance.
There is also a crush dump listed in the log files.

Device instance error, vista can't see media card

hello,
I have a pearl 8110, with desktop 6 and vista. After upgrading to version 6 I get this device instance error and specifically can't load any media onto the memory card via usb.
USB\VID_0FCA&PID_8001\5&3100FCC1&0&5
been through the forums for months tracking this down on how to clear it. Downloaded the calfix.exe program as that was the only clue that related to the 8001 error, ran it and nothing, did not work. Fix was for versions 4.7 to ver 5.
I can sync, load and upgrade BB software without any problems, tried two different memory card manufacturers, formatted card, pulled battery so many time don't ask me to do it again. mass storage mode is on, but software keeps telling me to turn it on even though its already on, been on since day one! Everything works via bluetooth, pictures, video, mp3, but windows just can't see the memory card.
Also went through the computer management to loocate the drive, but no luck?
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix?

Error of Credentials in Report Builder 3.0

Hi
I am getting an error of credentials while testing the connections for data source in Report Builder 3.0.
ERROR Window:
Unable to connect to the data source. Please verify the connection properties and credentials.
In <<Details
Log on failed. Ensure the user name and password are correct.
The credential tab in the Data source properties window has every thing grayed out.
These connection got lost suddenly. Please let me know how to reconnect or where to set the credentials.

From your description that all the options in the Credentials tab of the data source are grayed out, you should be using a shared data source on the report server. Based on the error message, the most possible reason
is that the shared data source uses stored credentials, however, the credentials specified for the data source is incorrect. To check whether it is the case, please open the definition of the shared data source on the report manager or a SharePoint site, and
click “Test Connection” button to see if the data source can be connected. If not, please retype the user name and password. If it is a Windows account, please also check the “User as Windows credentials when connecting to the data source” option.

I had the same error and it was caused by the newest versions of Azure PowerShell. I had to install back to version 8.14 (February 2015) in order for it to work.

Sync: Multiple Instance Error Causes Desktop Manager to Fail

I can no longer sync my Outloook calendar with my Bold 9650 using Desktop Manager 6 (bundle 3084). I failed multiple times, rebooted each device and tried again but still receive the same error. Error is a message from Windows that Desktop Manager has stopped working. The last few entries in the log indicate:

I saw an entry in the Outlook calendar related to the error, but not in the BB calendar, and deleted it but this did not resolve the problem. At this point, I cannot get DM to complete synchronization. Has anyone else experienced this and identified a resolution?

ORA-31202: DBMS_LDAP: LDAP client/server error: Invalid credentials

Hey Guys,
I have an application with LDAP authentication and a custom login page (pg 101). When I run this app, the login page displays first, logs me in and logs out fine. However, when I branch to this application from another application, the login page shows up with the following error:
ORA-31202: DBMS_LDAP: LDAP client/server error: Invalid credentials
Error ERR-1082 Error in executing authorization scheme code.
I looked at debug and this is happening because when this page is loaded, it goes to my authentication scheme and tries to authenticate me even though I havnt logged in and because no user exists at this point the error happens.
I have set the login page to 'Page is Public' and have also used the following code in the authentication scheme's Page Sentry Function:

My issue is stil not received, i hav send a document to the system team to follow for the integration. The AD configuration for QM shud be very expicit or else integration will not work. I am attachin the doc here. Let me knw if that helps.

Cannot Create Instance Error

I am using 11gR1, I am trying to run an application created out of a project template. I was able to successfully deploy both the composite and UI, When I login as initiator and click on the process link I am getting "cannot create instance error".
In EM, the Instance shows that its been faulted and has the following message.
ORABPEL-10513 Cannot get application roles from application identified by "{0}". An error occured while getting application roles from application identified by "OracleBPMProcessRolesApp". The underlying APIs threw an exception. Check the error stack and fix the cause of the error. Contact oracle support if error is not fixable.
All the organization roles have been created properly. Can anyone please tell me what could be the cause of this error. Thanks

"Error in Java Launcher. Error while launching program with JVM" when I run dnConfig on a windows instance of AWS

Hi,
I've installed Oracle EDQ on an AWS Windows 2008 instance. I installed "EDQ 12.1.3 Quick-Start". The installation went through without a hitch. The Oracle EDQ Application Server, Oracle EDQ Config Store and Oracle EDQ Results Store services are running. However when I run dnConfig to change the 32 bit JVM to the 64 bit version, I get the above error.
Can anyone help resolve this issue?

Hi Feroze,
A word of warning. You shouldn't be trying to change the bitness whilst the services are running. This will cause you a whole world of problems.
