Termination of employee before leave period

Hi All
I have an employee who has applied leaves as following:
11-Oct-2007 to 10-Nov-2007 Paid leave
11-Nov-2007 to 09-Dec-2007 Unpaid leave
But the employee expired on 23-Oct-2007 and we were notified about it on 24-Oct-2007.
From the people>enter and maintain screen, when I select the End Employment option I get the following dates:
Notified, Projected, Actual, Last Standard Process and Final Process.
As the first three are self explanatory, I am not sure about the last two dates.
What dates should I enter in Last Standard Process and Final Process?
What are all the possible scenarios in this? Like upto wat date he can be paid etc.

These are relevant as per how you setup your elements in the first place. They help control the treatment of how you use them in a termination.
Say for example you setup all your elements with this in mind...
LSP - Use for when you would actually like to process the termination pay elements either in the pay period that term ends or later (such as elements for paying out leave).
FP - Normally used when there are payments due in the future past their actual term date (such as bonus payments), but you still need them terminated and don't want to keep paying them any standard recurring elements.
When you push out these dates of course, the assignment remains active. In a nutshell, it strictly controls how your elements are used so they are not used inappropriately.
BTW i am quoting an Australian setup

i have a user who wronfully terminated an employee through hr with the termination period (supposed to be period that the employee was working).
is there a way to change the action from termination to hire? and then do another action for the correct termination date.
example of what happened.
1.1.2007 to 30.7.2007 supposed to be the hired period which is now termination period.
getting error: There is an abscence in the inactive period.
is there are way to change the action??

Need more information. Is someone defaulting the date of the field in the controller that you are extending?

Terminated/inactive employees show in direct reports

We're using HCM 9.1. When a manager looks at his direct reports, sometimes employees that have been terminated/inactive appear in the hierarchy. The termination date is long before the as of date on the direct reports page.
On the Direct Reports Configuration page, we've tried two settings for Access Type: By Reports To Position and By Part Posn Mgmt Supervisor. Each of these Access Types results in seeing terminated/inactive employees in the direct reports list.
Is there a way to prevent a terminated/inactive employee from appearing in a direct reports page?

Thanks Hakan. I think the issue I'm having is very closely related to the one you have pointed out to me. Unfortunately we're on bundle 9 and I'm not sure when we may go to bundle 10. Maybe I can work with Oracle support for a temporary solution. Thanks again for your help!

We have Oracle Human Resources 11.5.7 and I would like to know which is the best way to use when need to query data for employees valid within a specific period (From/To) or at specific date.
For example:
Say Current Date= 25-OCT-05
1.
If I want to query the number of employees booked for a training event occurred as at 01-AUG-05 and one of the employees booked left as at 30-SEP-05, I would like to be included in the query.
or 2.
If I want to see the employees assignment details for a specific period to see the active(latest) assignment details as at that period.
I would appreciate any feedback regarding the best way to do such queries as far as accuracy of data and performance is concerned.

Actually I'm already using this..
My problem is when I need to retrieve information for a specific period of time.
For example say I want to retrieve all sickness absences for Year 2004 and want to retrieve the last employee details (people & assignment tables) that fall within this period (either with an effective date >= sysdate (ie. still active) or which was current upto 31-dec-2004 and might changed later on).
To be more specific let's say an employee took sick leave in 2004 for total 10 days and has the following rows in per_people_f and per_assignments_f:
per_people_f:
start_date end_date person_id other personal details
01-FEB-2001 - 15-MAR-2004 3808 xxxx
16-MAR-2004 - 30-JUN-2004 3808 yyyy

and sickness days =10

you can use the standard Transaction Code S_PH9_46000223. In the selection screen choose actions and you will be able to get the list of all terminated or employee who had left the company.

Error While terminating the employee through API

I am facing the error while terminating the employee through standard api. The error is "You cannot create an entry past the termination rule date" The element entry I have are type "Recurring" and Termination at "Final Close" I have gone through the thread

This doc directs to apply a patch.
I have gone through. Just want to cross check if this required. I am able to terminate the employee through the application. There it just throws the warning saying " Element Entry has been changed for the Employee as the result of the termination do you wish to go with the termination"

What is the event to handle before leaving the page?

I am using splitApp. I have a scenario where user can edit few fields in one of the "Detail" page. When user clicks some item in master page, before changing the detail page I want to show a popup to user if changes should be saved.
Is there an event where I get to know any detail page navigation? or some event to handle before leaving the page.

Hi Rashmi,
It depends on which element you are using.
Suppose you are using sap.ui.commons.TextField where you are editing your data(In Detail View) then change event is triggered whenever the text in the field has changed AND the focus leaves the TextField or the Enter key is pressed and you can use this event in your code according to your need.
Here you may set some global variable and check that value if it is set or not.

I havent got my touch yet. I have been reading up on these forums and it looks like Apple Store is the last place to buy it.
Anyway, you said that when u turn it on without syncing, it has a BLACK screen saying whatever. Isnt that big Black screen enough to notice if it is negative or not?
And for those who have a screen with negative blacks, will you take it back and complain or will you keep it as if thats the way it was made and meant to be???

well, you know how it is - glitches that usually resolve with a hard reset etc
then a restore. then a factory restore....then ..... nothing fixes so I try the next step with apple online - fill out my serial number and find it is a couple of weeks out of date - and then with the holidays who has time to get to the apple store? this is my second 4s handset as it is - first one the glass cracked from L to R without any impact/damage etc - they changed it out automatically because it's a 'known fault' apparently - so technically, this handset is only 6 months old - but warranty is from original purchase date -
never imagined it would turn out to be a warranty issue with the phone - and hey maybe when I get a chance to go to the apple store they'll be sympathetic, but I won't be able to get there till at least Jan 4th as it is. On the other hand, another iOS update might resolve the issue - but how long till that release? at the moment I'm having to use my old 3gs for wifi and 4s for phone!!!

Please try report S_AHR_61016369 - Employee list.
Let's say you want get the number of active employees for October 2010.
Then run the report as follows:
Data selection period : 01.10.2010 - 31.10.2010
Person selection period : 01.10.2010 - 31.10.2010
Employee status : not equal to 0 (this is the default value for this field)
Execute the report.
At the top you'll see the number of selected employees .

Leave Loading - To be paid when employee encash leave

We have a requirement of paying leave loading while employee opt to take leave encashment (Quota compensation). I am aware of how L Loading get paid when employee takes leave.

All Retropay is going to compute is re-run your payroll at that time(which inturn reruns your fastformula). I would suggest you take a look at the fastformula as Delta entries are created directly from the result of FF.
