Terminology help pelase

Hi Guys
Iam confused with the new terminology of BI 7.0
Can any one please let me know briefly about the following :
BEx : Query Designer , Analyser , Web Appl Designer , "Browser" ...
I guess , Query desinger is same in 3.x and 7.0...
Analyser : what is diff between Web analyser and Bex analyser ( I open all the times Bex analyser.
The opens in Excell ) . I guess Web Analyser is the one which we execute from WAD (is it correct)?
As we can go from start -> programms -> BEx Analyser....
Can we also open the WEb analysr like that ?
What is BEx Browser ? I found in documents that in nw2004s BEx Browse gone away (is it correct...)
Report designer: When can we access the Report Designer and what is the use of it ?
Please tell me all of the above relates to Portal ? I mean , Is EP and BI 7.0 Portals are same?
Is Web Abalyser (BEx Launcher) is same as Portal...Why am asking is when I execute any web template
from WAD ...its opening only when I already open the Portal screen (otherwise its givning me error)
Please help
regards

Hi
we have some differences to all the tools like WAD,Web analyser,Query Designer,Report Designer in 7.0 from 3.x versions
The name query designer is same in 3.x and 7.0 is same but in 7.0 query designer some more additional facilities will be there like the graphics
The BEx analyser and Web analyser are meant for same work like to analyse the reports by executing the query in these tools but BEx analyser is the basic product from microsoft as excel
U can open the webanalyser as same like that only
Report Designer is the tool used to create the highly formatted reports,like with more colors and easy way report to which the enduser can easily understand
U can connect to portal from all these tools
refer to the link below
for example u can call the broadcaster which is used to send the reports or documents to the end user from all these tools

    Hey guys, i recently bought myself a Neo 2 Platinum 939 with an AMD 64 3200+. I was drawn to the fact that the mobo supports 1000mhz fsb and dymanic overclocking blah blah blah , it sounded phat and i was very pleased with myself  . However, scanning thru the bios i noted that not all settings were buffed up   . now i know butt-kiss about overclocking ( ) and have gone thru the overclockers post buit didn't see anything in paticular  . All i want to know is: how to use the overclocking software (can't remember the exact names - core something??  ) what all the terminology for each section is, i.e. HTT, VId etc, (i think HTT is hypertransport technology?) and how to overclock my kit to a medium setting. I tried using the Dynamic overclocking thing in the bios but when ever i ran world of warcraft or counter-strike the system froze  (guessing from cpu overheating). Now i've stuck in 2 new case fans (one that runs at silly speeds - 7200 RPM!! and another @ 3500 RPM) my average kit temp is around 22 degrees C and the cpu at around 33 degrees C. My kit spec is:
    Neo 2 Platinum
    AMD Athlon 64 3200+
    1 GB Corsair DDR400
    Samsung 40 GB HDD ATA
    Maxtor 60 GB HDD ATA
    Geforce 6600 GT 128MB DDR3
    Any help is much appreciated!!

    HTT - HyperTransport Bus.  Runs at a default of 1000 MHz in the cause of your hardware.
    VID - Specifies the voltage to be applied to various componentents.  Your BIOS probably has both "CPU VID" and "Memory VID" options for adjusting the CPU and memory voltages respectively.
    Anyways, some generic tips:
    1.  Do not overclock with the CoreCenter program (people occasionally run into problems with it).  Use the BIOS settings instead.
    2.  Disable the "Dynamic Overclocking" feature, especially if you are overclocking manually.
    3.  Your crashes are more likely caused by a RAM timing issue (or possibly a video-card overheating issue) than the CPU overheating, unless your HSF is improperly installed.  Use your BIOS settings to ease off the memory timings until you find out how fast you can run your CPU, and then bring the timings back up as high as possible while still keeping things stable.
    4.  Test your overclocks.  Use utilities like Prime95, SuperPi, PCMark, and SiSoft Sandra to test each overclock to make sure it is stable.  Do not just assume that just because you can boot to Windows successfully that your settings are stable.  You can find links to places to download most of these apps by searching the forums (or google).
    5.  Install temperature monitoring software like SpeedFan or MBM5.  Watch your temperature readings while you test your overclocks.  If your CPU temp goes much above 55 degrees under load you probably don't want to raise the clock speed or voltage much.
    6.  Increased voltage (i.e. "CPU VID") gives increased stability at higher clock speeds, but also causes increased heat output.  For a "medium" overclock, it might be a good idea to just run the CPU as fast as possible using the default voltage of 1.40V.  This should let you hit a clock speed of at least 2.3 GHz (or quite possibly more unless you're unlucky), without risking shortening the life of the CPU.  For overclocks of 2.4 GHz and greater, you'll probably need to raise the voltage in order to keep the system stable.
    7.  Lower your HTT multiplier.  The HTT will probably start to become unstable at about 1.1 GHz, and with the default multiplier setting of 5x, this pretty much limits you to a FSB setting of 220 MHz tops, or a 10% overclock (which for a 90 nm Athlon64 chip, is a "small" overclock at best).  Lowering the HTT multiplier will let you raise your FSB(and therefore CPU speed) much more, just remember that as the product of your HTT multiplier and your FSB approaches 1100, it's time to select the next lower multiplier.
    8.  Overclock incrememtally.  Start off by increasing your FSB (via the BIOS) in 10 MHz increments (or a bit more if you decide to lower your CPU multiplier).  The idea is to increase your CPU speed by no more than 100 MHz at a time.  If your system is able to boot at the new setting, test for stability.  If it is stable, increase the FSB some more.  If it is unstable/won't boot, ease off by about 5 MHz or so on the FSB (or leave it the same and try increasing the voltage if you want), and try again.  This will probably be your maximum stable overclock unless you want to play around with the voltages.
    9.  Enable AGP/PCI locks.  If your BIOS has such a setting, be sure to enable it to avoid causing instability related to an overclocked PCI/AGP bus.
    10.  Lower your CPU multiplier.  You CPU speed is the product of your FSB speed and the CPU multiplier.  If you lower the multiplier value, you can select a higher FSB speed that what would otherwise be possible, which can lead to increased performance over a higher multiplier/lower FSB configuration.  It is common to be able to get FSB's up around the 300 MHz range by using a multiplier of 8x or so.

  • SQL Query Help Pelase???

    Hi All,
    This is my query:
    SELECT
    itupa.unit_no,
    itu.trial_unit_reference,
    itu.tu_investigator_surname,
    DECODE(ITUPA.master_approval_flag,0,NULL,ea_amendment_submission_date),
    DECODE(ITUPA.master_approval_flag,0,NULL,ea_amendment_approval_date),
    DECODE(ITUPA.master_approval_flag,0,NULL,ea_amendment_expiry_date),
    DECODE(ITUPA.master_approval_flag,0,NULL,ea_approval_comments),
    itupa.master_approval_flag,
    itupa.tu_ea_amend_no
    FROM
    irt_tu_protocol_amendment itupa,
    irt_trial_unit itu
    WHERE
    itupa.trial_no = itu.trial_no
    and itupa.country_code = itu.country_code
    and itupa.unit_key = itu.unit_key
    and itupa.trial_no = 101416
    and itupa.country_code IN ('BLR','GBR')
    and itupa.amendment_no = 1
    and ITUPA.master_approval_flag IN (0,1)
    and rownum =1
    ORDER BY Itupa.master_approval_flag DESC, -- to 'prefer' ITUPA.master_approval_flag=1
    itupa.unit_no And the output is:
    1     10     Cherp     01-JUL-10       (null)          01-JUL-10         (null)          1     41The intented outcome is to return all records where master_approval_flag = 1.
    If no records exists where master_approval_flag = 1 then return one row with the ITUPA columns containing null - but still output the values of the ITU table columns.
    As it stands the above query will return one row (because I've specified 'and rownum = 1).
    However if I ammend the query so it looks like this:

    With the data I've got and with the way I want the query to work - I only want 2 rows to be returned with the above query....
    1 row for country_code 'BLR' where master approval flag is 1
    1 row for country_code 'GBR' where master approval flag is 1
    If the master approval flag was 0 for both country codes then a row each should still be displayed but the ITUPA columns should be omitted from the result set....
    Any ideas??
    Thanks!!!

    It would be more easier for us to answer your question if you can give us some Sample data in the format of WITH clause. And your current output and expected output.
    Also dont forget to tell your DB Version (The full version)

  • Help pelase not printing as i want it

    Hi This program stores names of towns in an array. Then the user does a search and it has to print out where that town is in the array. Here is my code.
    import java.util.Scanner;
    public class ArrayTwo
         public static void main(String args[])
         Scanner keyboard = new Scanner(System.in);
         String[] B = {"Halifax", "Enfield", "Elmsdale", "Truro", "Springfield", "Sackville", "Moncton"};
          System.out.println("Please enter the name of a town ");
          String townName = keyboard.next();
          for (int index = 0; index < B.length; index++)
               if(townName.equals(B[index]))
                    System.out.println(townName + " is in position " + B[index]);
    I dont know how to print it out because the way i have it printing it says.
    The position of Halifax is Halifax.
    How do i make it print out like
    The position of halifax if 1

    B[index]This says get me the element in the array B at position index. So it will print out the name. What do you think you should use if you want to print out the position in the array instead?

  • Sync Iphone help

    Hi thre and fist time here. I would like to sync my iphone at work and cannot install Itunes and is there a sync facility to connect to outloof 2003.
    Need some help pelase
    PAUl

    You cannot perform any of the sync functions, i.e. music, photos, calendar and contacts without iTunes. The iPhone requires them for many of those functions. If you cannot install iTunes there, I wonder if you can use an OTA (over the air) service. You can Goggle for some of them, but they include GMail, MobileMe.

  • Help with DBMS Schedule

    Hello,
    i have crated a dbms job usning dbms scheduler. i created a procedure to test this which has run every 28 days on a Wednesday. when i test this this job skips if a holiday falls on wEDNESDAY AND SHOULD RUN ON IMMEDAITE NEXT WEEK OF WEDNESDAY. my job works upto excluding the holidays, but doesn;t run immediate next wednesday instead its running the next shceduled 28 day of that wednesday. here is the code to test the job. PLease help...
    BEGIN
    SHOW_JOB_SCHEDULE(
    sTARTDate => TO_DATE('01/04/2012','mm/dd/yyyy')
    ,ScheduleString => 'FREQ=DAILY; INTERVAL=28; BYHOUR=04; BYMINUTE=00; BYSECOND=00;EXCLUDE=FEDERALHOLIDAYS;'
    ,Iterations => 10
    end;
    i tried even with freq=weekly and interval=4 and byday=wed it still skips the Job if that is a holiday and goes to the next shceduled cycle instead i want to run next wednesday, when a holiday falls.
    say for example the dates of cylce for 28 days is:
    1/4/2012

    /This is an adaptation of a query I wrote to automatically figure out working days for a giving start and end date range. I tweaked it to return the days of which a US Federal Holiday falls and when it's observed. For example if Christmas fell on a Sunday it'd be observed on a Monday. So once we have the list of holidays we can add a week to them to get the days that are required for the run on the following week. After that I use the 11g LISTAGG function to aggregate that data into a single string that will be used to create the schedule per the calendar syntax requirements. Then the schedules are created.
    Please note that I drop the schedules at the start of the procedure which disables any jobs that use them. You'll need to enable those jobs again after the fact.
    Additionally, you can take the query I have hear and replace it to me your needs. I just provided it as an example. This procedure has been parameterized so it can be run again every year re-creating the schedules.

  • HELP... Fastforward bar or button in swf player?

    The widget for the swf player works fantastic in photoshop only the video is around 3 hours long, I have no idea how to "splice the mov" i've looked everywhere until i'm blue in the face for MONTHS, I gave up and started using another monitor and my laptop in the front like I was in a "classroom" I'm back to using configurator again and I love it naturaly but theres no fast forward button, and i'm like ok how do I make a gpc extension or a widget or something or download a player and make it into a widget? to work in here.  I don't want photohsop CS5 I'm disability and broke hense why I'm trying so darn hard to get this done and out of the way.  You can make extensions in flash and flex but I don't own flex and I really don't want to try to learn how to hack into things, I"m really seriously broke here trying to put myself through college and to make a long story short if anyone could help, or has the heart to help pelase let me know. NAPP didn't have a clue, its been over a year since I asked how to get a 'fast forward button on the player itself', i'm at a loss. I know 1.0 will do that I just am no programer and unless I pay someone to do a tutorial I don't know.  It's frustrating and right now I'd rather find a teacher or anything but I can spend hundreds of dollars like I used to if I had it and get quite frankly no where since everyone I asked was a dead end.  So since this is for configurator I'll post this here?  If I have to get flex fine, but it would be cheaper since I only want this ONE THING to do the free trial and have someone that has a tutorial.  All i want is a button, I can download MOV players and make them flv... I downloaded the file as an FLV but then the gpc extension, is there a place I can buy one that would work, where, how?  I'm not an idiot but I honestly am just tired of looking, and getting "i don't know" answers.

    Hi Nyaih,
    It's glad to hear that your are using configurator. I'm not very sure I understand your problem. But I think you may be interested with this.
    I'd created a patch for Configurator 2.0, which added a slider bar for VideoPlayer, then you can drag the slider to jump in the video. See the screen shot.
    The patch file is attached in this post as a picture file.
    If you want apply it, please download it, and rename to "PS12Template.swf".
    And go to your configurator 2.0 panel folder. It should be "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins\Panels\<Your Panel Name>\content\".
    And use "PS12Template.swf" to replace your "<Your Panel Name>".swf.
    Then restart photoshop.

  • Advance payment Condition in PO

    Dear all,
    Could any body say,is there any provision to mention Advance payment condition in Purchase Order.Please advise at the earliest possible.For suitable answer points would be assigned.
    Regards,
    NSB

    Hello NSB,
    The invoicing plan is a facility that allows you to schedule desired invoicing dates for planned procurements independently of the receipt of the relevant goods or performance of the relevant services. It lists the dates on which you wish to create and then pay the invoices in question.
    You do not wait each time for the vendor to submit an invoice for goods supplied or services performed, but can have invoices created automatically by the system on the basis of the data available in the purchase order and then release them for payment to the vendor.
    Integration: When you save the invoicing plan, data is passed on to purchase order commitments, and to Cash Management and Forecast.
    Prerequisites: To be able to work with invoicing plans:
    You must maintain certain settings in Customizing for Purchasing under Purchase Order à Invoicing Plan, such as the following:
    Invoicing plan type
    Date categories
    Date descriptions
    Date proposals
    The PO item must have account assignment
    You must use Logistics Invoice Verification
    If you wish to use automatic settlement for periodic invoicing plans, automatic invoice creation must be agreed with your vendor. Eval. receipt sett. delivery must be selected in the vendor master record.
    SAP recommends working with the order type FO (framework order).
    An extended validity period and a "reason for cancellation" are defined in the header of this type of purchase order. The specified validity period is adopted for the invoicing plan.
    If you work with standard purchase orders, you must maintain the date determination rules accordingly in Customizing, since there is no predefined validity period that can be adopted in the invoicing plan.
    Features: The following two types of invoicing plan are available:
    Periodic invoicing plan
    Partial invoicing plan
    Periodic Invoicing Plan
    The periodic invoicing plan can be used for regularly recurring procurement transactions (e.g. rental, leasing, or subscriptions).
    It facilitates the largely automatic creation and payment of invoices within the framework of the invoice verification process. The periodic invoicing plan uses evaluated receipt settlement (ERS) program functionality.
    In the case of the periodic invoicing plan, the total value of the PO item is invoiced on each due date.
    Example-  A monthly sum of $600 is charged for a leased car (represented by an item of a PO). This sum is invoiced and paid on the last day but one of each month.
    In Customizing for Purchasing, you can define whether the dates are to be maintained manually or whether the system is to suggest invoicing dates according to the specified rules.
    Partial Invoicing Plan: The partial invoicing plan can be used for the invoicing of high-cost material or projects involving the procurement of external services that are to be subject to stage payments (such as plant construction projects, or the invoicing of individual stages of a building project following completion in each case).You can also flag due dates in a partial invoicing plan as dates for advance payments.
    The amounts corresponding to these dates are then not taken into account in the sum total of the invoice items because advance payments are set off against later invoices. In the case of the partial invoicing plan, the total value of the PO item is broken down and spread over the individual dates of the invoicing plan.
    A purchase order item relates to building project no. 1 with a total value of $900,000. 33.3% ($300,000) of the total value is due to be invoiced and paid on completion of the first phase of construction, a further 33.3% ($300,000) on completion of the second phase, and the rest ($300,000) following completion and acceptance of the 3rd and final phase.
    In the partial invoicing plan, you wish to maintain the invoicing dates agreed with the vendor yourself. Therefore there is no system support in the form of date proposals.
    However, if you wish to have due dates suggested by the system as an entry aid, you can reference an existing plan when creating a new invoicing plan. Date proposals can then be adopted from the former.
    Hope this helps. pelase assign points...

  • Not showing the available contexts?

    Hi,
    When I am running a report in WebI, its running fine. Wehn I open the report in Edit mode, in the query's its shown the context name in the query properties. When I try to edi the query, and even though, I restore the same objects in the query panel, its asking for context. But its not showing the actual context. Its showing other contexts.
    Could anyone faced this kind of problem?
    Any help pelase.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Gowtham Sen.

    Hi Gawtham,
    I would suggest you look at the universe and check that the objects are being defined correctly i.e by checking the class and source table.field and double check that the contexts have been defined correctly.

  • ABAP and J2EE-Stacks in SAP WEB AS

    Hi,
    I have two questions about the technical architecture of SAP WebAS, particularly about the ABAP- and J2EE-Server.
    Can someone recommend detailed papers/guides (besides help.sap.com)describing:
    1) the management of processes and resources in two parts (ABAP and Java)
    and
    2) The communication mechanisms between J2EE- and ABAP-server.
    What are the problems with JCo?
    Is there other possibilities to communicate between  2EE- and ABAP-server.(besides JCO), what is the performance in this case compares with JCO?
    Thank you!

  • Graph algorithm question

    Hello.
    I am trying to find a graph algorithm (by graph I mean nodes interconnected to each other,not the sketch of a function).This algorithm should yield the route that passes from as many nodes of the graph as possible,though it is forbidden to step on a node twice,and then ends back to the first node that it started from,thus forming a cycle.
    I am positive that this algorithm must have been researched by now,so in order to avoid thinking it myself I wonder if someone would know to direct me somewhere in the web where I can get it.Since I am a medical student,any terminology help would be also appreciated(as to the name of what I want,keywords to search etc).

    OK. Before you get too geeky here, try a brute force approach. if your graph is small or has limited connectivity, you may not need to get fancy. Its surprising what a computer can do without breaking a sweat. In any case I whipped up a solution as shown below. It is untested and will most likely have bugs (and does not check for null conditions). But as you can see the code is pretty basic and should get you from point A to point B (pun inteneded).     public List<Integer> getLargestCycle( Map<Integer,List<Integer>>graph )
            List<Integer> longestCycle = new Vector<Integer>();
            List<Integer> path = new Vector<Integer>();
            for ( Integer startingPoint : graph.keySet() )
                path.add(startingPoint);
                List<Integer> aCycle = getLargestCycle( graph, path );
                if ( aCycle.size() > longestCycle.size() )
                    longestCycle = aCycle;
            return longestCycle;
        protected List<Integer> getLargestCycle( Map<Integer,List<Integer>>graph,
            List<Integer> currentPath )
            List<Integer> longestCycle = new Vector<Integer>();
            Integer currentPoint = currentPath.get( currentPath.size()-1 );
            Integer startingPoint = currentPath.get( 0 );
            for ( Integer nextPoint : graph.get( currentPoint ) )
                List<Integer> aPath = new Vector( currentPath );
                aPath.add( nextPoint );
                if ( nextPoint.equals( startingPoint ) )
                    if ( longestCycle.size() == 0 )
                        longestCycle = aPath;
                else if ( currentPath.contains( nextPoint ) )
                    // not a cycle here.
                else
                    List<Integer> aCycle = getLargestCycle( graph, aPath );
                    if ( aCycle.size() > longestCycle.size() )
                        longestCycle = aCycle;
            return longestCycle;
        }

  • Question about insertitem in component interface

    Hi:
    I'm using component interface in my work and face a question. When I use InsertItem function in peoplecode, I'm confused about its relationship with ActiveRowCount property of Row class. I need to check the data inserted in the record, so I put logic in component fieldchange event, uses ActiveRowCount to loop in the record to check every one row .
    In the PIA, if we insert one row(by click add button) for some record, ActiveRowCount seems include the row you just insert even if you have not click save button. But when I use InsertItem and triggered a FieldChange event, ActiveRowCount in this event seems not include the new row inserted by InsertItem function. It is quite different from inserting in PIA. I'm not sure whether I uses InsertItem in a wrong way or it is just a mechanism that component interface implemented to exclude InsertItem inserted row in ActiveRowCount ? Hope someone can help me. Thanks a lot.

    That doesn't make sense to me. Regardless of whether you are going through the PIA or through a Component Interface, your ActiveRowCount should increment the same.
    Is it possible that maybe your CI code is inserting into a different RowSet than what you are doing online through the PIA?
    I don't know if this terminology helps --
    Online via PIA | Component Interface
    RowSet = Collection
    ActiveRowCount = Count
    Row = Collection
    Field = Property
    Also be sure that your FieldChange is getting triggered after you insert the row. I am not sure how you are viewing the ActiveRowcount. If it is a message, I would assume that shows up in the message collection. The message collection will just queue the messages and you can check them at the end. So, what could happen is that your field change is getting triggered first and the message gets added to the collection. Then, you could insert the row. Then, you could check messages and see the count from before the row insert yet it looks like after the row insert. You might consider printing all your messages from the collection right before the row insert and deleting any pending messages.
    If you would like to post some of your code, maybe we can help more. Hope that much helps.
