Terraria: Looking For Friends!

Hello, everyone! I am currently attempting to look for anyone willing to help out on Terraria. See, I recently just started...and thanks to a friend, I'm already part of the way towards getting rid of Skeletor, the boss keeping you from being able to explore the dungeon. But I just can't do enough damage by myself. Sure, it was easy taking down the King Slime, but that was a matter of putting myself in a hole he couldn't get into! With Skeletor, you have to dodge and jump and weave and all this other nonsense...making him a very difficult contender. Even with the help of one friend who left me with a couple of his old gear bits, I'm still not able to knock that dodgy bone-bag out of the night sky. Looking for friends to help me get over a breakup

PSN MAGIIK-STICKZ Hello All, This is very embarrassing and quite silly that I have to do this really. It's scary that I have to turn to the Internet to look for friends to help me in this time of need. In the beginning of the month my girl friend left me, we was together for 4 years, we had our ups and downs but we always remained strong. She told me she wanted to be with me forever and I wanted the same. I've only just turned 19 so this was my first relationship. Don't want to get into too much details why she left me, but I will tell you that she has already moved on after only leaving me for a month. The pain hurts so much and I'm trying to move on because I can't... Because I have no friends... I mean I have friends but they're definitely not the ones you can count on in this situation. They're more "Gym Bros" I believe if I can find people to group with, play games with, literally just talk to that would be amazing for me. I just needs things to take my mind off of her and I believe talking to new people will do that. We don't even have to play games, I'm very open to you just in-boxing me on PlayStation to socialize. I'm opened to both males and females but if there are any females you would be helping a lot! I cut off all female ties for her for 4 years and now I have no female acquaintances so It would be nice to get experience talking to other females again just to boost my confidence back. I understand what I am asking for might sound like a lot, and I definitely understand how needy I sound, but this was my last resort of trying to get over her as quickly as I can. Didn't have time to do more than skim, but 'Ardour' looked promising. Protools is the only one I've used, the full product is one of the industry standards, but the free 'lite' version listed here seems to be limited to 2 in/out as well.
Referring to your original post, I'd think trying to write or 'script' something would be a nightmare ... synchronisation of streams within something like Applescript would be a major issue, quite apart from anything else.

This is a great reminder. I too labor over my slides, sometimes way too much labor and not enough on the presentation. This is also a reminder to check out your venue BEFORE you arrive. Talk to the tech in charge if at all possible and tell him/her the system your bringing and ask if they can accommodate your requirements. I am giving 4 classes for adult continuing education at a local high school. I've had to bring my own flat screen TV because their projector was sub-par and did nothing for my slides.
Best practice if it is feasible and reasonable to go to the venue and check it out days before your presentation.
For the amount of work we put into our slides, we deserve for them to be shown at the best possible resolution.

Hey folks, how you doing? My name is Chris, 26 from Glasgow. I was a very keen gamer at a young age, heavily into my Sega mega Drive and Super Nintendo, i then didnt play much until Sega Dreamcast where I became obsessed with the likes of Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, Skies of Arcadia, i then followed up with a Playstation 2 where I played Final Fantasy 10, Tomb Raider, Reisdent Evil, I also had a Nintendo Gamecube and liked the platformers like Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda, Sonic, Super Monkey Ball, I then drifted off gaming for some reason, mainly lifestyle was more interested in going out being a student etc. I have been hooked back in as I got a Playstation 3 for Christmas, very late I know 7 years oops oh well Im hoping to get a good 2/3 years off this as I have such a back catalouge to play with and PS4 probs wont get going for a year or so and I wont pay launch prices. I have an ecletic taste but I prefer action/adventure, rpgs, platformers a little kiddish I know but its a lot of fun, I prefer more problem solving games but do like instant fix racing games. My PS3 collection (games i got for xmas) is Uncharted 3 (my fave, completed it already but will go back to get Trophys, will be checking out the other 2, love a good story) Final Fantasy 13 i think? Only played an hour of that but might do some of that tonight. Sonic Generations which is what I would say I play when I dont want something too hard, Gran Turismo which is really fun but I know nothing about cars so I only find it semi interesting, Resident Evil 6 which I have played an hour or so off, its still to grip me, I was a huge fan of Code veronica on Dreamcast and Res 4 on Gamecube but this isnt as good for me...yet. And the Tomb Raider trilogy which I love, but I still prefer the original games by Core Design. So please add me folks as I have no online friends, i will be getting more into the online RPG thing in the near future, people have recommended Skyrim to me if you can think of any I would like please give me a shout. If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 7.0.4. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

How to Upgrade to iOS 7
The iOS 7.0 update requires around 2.5 GB of storage space, so if your iPad is almost full, you may need to clear up some space. You can check your available space in Settings -> General -> Usage.
There are two ways to upgrade to iOS 7: You can use your Wi-Fi connection, or you can connect your iPad to your PC and update through iTunes. We'll go over each method.
To upgrade using Wi-Fi:
Note: If your iPad's battery is under 50%, you will want to plug it into your charger while performing the update.
Go into the iPad's Settings.
Locate and tap "General" from the menu on the left.
The second option from the top is "Software Update". Tap this to move into the update settings.
Tap "Download and Install". This will start the upgrade, which will take several minutes and will reboot your iPad during the process. If the Download and Install button is grayed out, trying clearing up some space. The space required by the update is mostly temporary, so you should gain most of it back after iOS 7 is installed.
Once the update is installed, you may have to run through the initial steps of setting up your iPad again. This is to account for new features and settings.
To upgrade using iTunes:
First, connect your iPad to your PC or Mac using the cable provided when you purchased your device. This will allow iTunes to communicate with your iPad.
You will also need the latest version of iTunes. Don't worry, you will be prompted to download the latest version when you launch iTunes. Once it installs, you may be asked to setup iCloud by logging into your iTunes account. If you have a Mac, you may be prompted on whether or not you want to enable the Find my Mac feature.
Now you are ready to begin the process:
If you upgraded iTunes earlier, go ahead and launch it. (For many, it will launch automatically when you plug in your iPad.)
Once iTunes is launched, it should automatically detect that a new version of the operating system exists and prompt you to upgrade to it. Choose Cancel. Before updating, you will want to manually sync your iPad to make sure everything is up to date.
After canceling the dialog box, iTunes should automatically sync with your iPad.
If iTunes doesn't automatically sync, you can manually do it by selecting your iPad within iTunes, clicking on the File menu and choosing Sync iPad from the list.
After your iPad has been synced to iTunes, select your iPad within iTunes. You can find it on the left side menu under Devices.
From the iPad screen, click on the Update button.
After verifying that you want to update your iPad, the process will begin. It takes a few minutes to update the operating system during which time your iPad may reboot a few times.
After updating, you may be asked a few questions when your device finally boots back up. This is to account for new settings and features.

O.K. my friend is a 86 year old former B-29 bombardier from the 462nd bombardment group USAAF.
He uses PC's but he is looking for an iMac that will run X-Plane

According to this it looks as though any iMac should work.
I don't think that he can afford a Mac Pro and since he is my friend I don't want him to spend too much money.

I think you might want to reconsider your recommendation. While your friend may not want to go $2200 for the high end model, it seems to me that an extra $300 for twice the video RAM, twice the system RAM, 30% more HD space and a slightly more powerful CPU in the 2.66GHz. 20 in. model would certainly be worth it. 128MB of Video RAM is just not that much any more, and your friend is looking at buying a Mac specifically for x-plane, a graphic intense program. As you may know, and your friend would certainly be aware of, x-plane is in constant development and is always pushing the edge of the envelope as far as current system capabilities are concerned. It would give your friend a system that would be able to handle whatever is in the x-plane pipeline for a longer time to come, and extend his capabilities with the program's current state. Just my two cents.

Looking for a database collection app for children

Hi,
I am a primary school teacher and I am looking for a interesting way for my children to learn about databases and spreadsheets this term using the Ipads. I have looked at using Numbers but I am looking for an app that is child friendly and looks at them creating their own fields and collect their own data. Ideally want them to also use the camera to collect data and do majority of this on the ipad rather than sync it from a pc. Anyone kow any good apps for this?
