Terrible noise Audigy

Several hours ago everything was perfect...now when I try to start programs like ICQ or SKype i get a terrible distorted sound, which disappear after reinstalling the drivers for SB Audigy SE, until of course again launch the programs mentioned above! Please tell me how to fix this appaling problem!

To show my actual noise level problems here is a little clip of noise that my current soundcard makes at about 50% inputs\outputs levels: http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2WXYE20NNRPTO2DHNHCI9ZAP9V
I would somehow need to eradicate as much noise as possible...

  • Terrible noise on Pavillion

Ten month ago, i bought my first pavillon.
    What's error !!!!
Few week later, it begun to play a terrible noise.
The diagnostic was easy : graphic card cooler. I photo to hp support team, who try to flash the bios before listenning my probleme. After that they explain me that it was inpossible to semd me new fan, or a graphic card ...
They can send harddrive, crdrom drive.. but no other part.... Strange.
The fan is a SMY DFS 601012D. May it cost less than 3 dollors to HP.
But these 3 buck will cost them more than one client!
Does any of you have got the same probleme with the team support ?
(i've read a thread, where a guy have a card exchange...)

Strange nobody have experienced the same problem
Well, I think I fixed the noise issues myself.
Have you ever noticed the noise from your stereo speakers when you recieve a sms?
Well, the noise I experienced all the time was that kind of 'sms noise'.
What seems to eliminate the problem is this:
    In settings,
    - turn "Airplane mode" off
    - turn "Do not disturb" off (this is a new setting in IOS 6)
Maybe this can be helpful to somebody else

  • Terrible noise appears when it wants and as long as it wants

    <hi @ all,
    I have a Creative x-fi music running on Win7. ?
Normally i have an amazing good sound, but sometimes just out of a sudden it gets terrible (a terrible noise comes to the foreground and the normal sound gets "deeper"). This just appears whenever it wants to.
Sometimes right after PC start for like 2secs, sometimes when i have the PC running for like 0hs without problems.
It suddenly comes and suddenly goes. There is no "program" i started before etc.
And it lasts as long as it wants to, sometimes secs, sometimes minutes (till i restart the pc).
    Like:
I start the PC, close all programms running?<span class="lia-user-name UserName" ?<span class="lia-user-name UserName" in background and start VLC to watch a movie.
The movie runs for 2hs without any problems. Suddenly the noise appeary without me even touching the mouse.
2mins later the noise is gone.
I already tried different drivers. The onBoard soundcard (which is deactivated when im running the creative card) has no problems.
Anyone know what this could be or even better how to fix this? Ive really no idea.
Or anyone experienced <span class="lia-user-name UserName" this problem before?
    Thx for help,
    theNick

I keep encountering same once in every 2-3 days.
Restarting windows audio service solves the problem

  • Terrible noise if no audio signal active (Win7 x64)

    Hi all
since few weeks I get a terrible noise (f~10kHz)  out of the electronic of my T500. It is not coming out of the speaker.  Working on the notebook produces terrible headache.
Now I found out, that it is coming somehow from soundcard.
When I start any audio program, say VLC or Winamp and  play any audio file with "zero volume", the noise disappear.
Even some sound events from windows, like mousehover, stops the noise for the duration of audio output.
    I'm using Win7 x64.
    Has anybody the same issue?
    Any ideas?

It's remarkable that even after releasing a Win7 driver this month that Creative Labs is STILL incapable of getting this product supported.
Wireless music volume control still does not work through Win7 volume control.
    Useless product.

  • Strange computer noises - Audigy 2

    hi,
I posted this as a message over on the other noise thread, but received no replies. I'm going to try my luck here one more time before I try to contact Creative's customer support.
I get a constant buzz and high-pitched tone that's present all the time through my speakers (there's also a similar thing present on the line-in, because during recording it gets amplified should the gain be increased).
When I scroll using a scrollbar or open a folder/program/game the high-pitched tone briefly disappears but then promptly reappears. The buzz remains despite it all though. The buzz sounds computerised... it doesn't sound anything like the pink noise of the noisefloor.
I just checked my IRQ settings, and here they are for you:
    SiSoftware Sandra
    0 : System timer
: Standard 0/02-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard
    3 : COM2
    3 : Communications Port (COM2)
    4 : COM
    4 : Communications Port (COM)
    5 : D-Link DFE-530TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter (rev.B)
    5 : NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420
6 : Standard floppy disk controller
    8 : System CMOS/real time clock
    9 : Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System
    0 : MPU-40 Compatible MIDI Device
: Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS (WDM)
: OHCI Compliant IEEE 394 Host Controller
: VIA Rev 5 or later USB Uni'versal Host Controller
: VIA Rev 5 or later USB Uni'versal Host Controller
: VIA Rev 5 or later USB Uni'versal Host Controller
    2 : PS/2 Compatible Mouse
    3 : Numeric data processor
    4 : Primary IDE Channel
    5 : Secondary IDE Channel
Would the shared IRQ be causing this problem?
My Audigy 2 ZS is currently placed in the bottom PCI slot of my PC with one empty slot in between it and the rest of my PCI periphals. The videocard is quite far away from it.
    I've also got the
    CD Audio
    CCD Digital
    S/PDIF
settings muted on my creative control panel. Disabling them actually helped to some minor extent with the line-in noise, but it didn't help at all with the monitoring noise which I'm constantly hearing.

I have the audigy 2. I have low sound when I watch video clips located on my harddri've, low volume when I view video clips from news sites and perfect volume when I watch TV ( I have ati all in wonder)
What do I do to have the volume setting on the above uniform...also I hear feeback when I load web sites and use the scroll bar
    thanks a lot
    John

  • WHAT'S THAT TERRIBLE NOISE?????

I've just bought a 60GB video IPOD and I'm already terrified with its problems... specially because I didn't buy it in my country and don't believe I could just change it.....
Well, while I start listening to it, after just a few minutes (like 2 or 3) a very loud and sharp noise starts while I still listen to the music very low.....
It's happening in the car, with the earphones and stereos...
The IPOD just comes back after reseting it, but after the 2 minutes listenning there comes back that ****** noise!!!
Should I use the others "R's"? Or am I screwed?

I have the same issue and it started appearing since this years official Apple ipod update. The issue is that after few minutes of playback (sometimes even up to 30 minutes!) the music playback is degraded significantly - or you can say that it is noisy... THE FIX IS is to restore your ipod with 2005-10-12 ipod update software and NOT installing any more recent updates. Even the latest from 2006-03-23 is not addressing this issue. You can find update soft in your applications/uttilities folder - or, if you are a new user -- well, I hope there is one available in versiontracker.com or apple/osx/downloads
Now, I am surprised that Apple didn't recognized and included this issue fix in the past few updates. Seems to me they are getting sloppy... Second outrageous thing is that you can only post your comments on this forum - there is absolutely no direct bug post regarding ipod related issues (there could be one in itunes for example). Safari, itunes and other software have it. Anyone listening?
I have 5g ipod with video 60 gb version.

  • How can i get rid of THIS TERRIBLE NOISE?!

My CPU is whining like crazy according to everything ive seen, but RMclock does not support this chipset.

How can i disable the C4 sleep state?  this noise is so loud and driving me nuts!

Any third-party software that doesn't install by drag-and-drop into the Applications folder, and uninstall by drag-and-drop to the Trash, is a system modification.
Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
Here are some general guidelines. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickYourMac.” First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickyourmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the Web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, contact the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickYourMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickYourMac.” If not, open “BrickYourMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
You may have to log out or reboot in order to complete an uninstallation.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase your boot volume and perform a clean reinstallation of OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software.

  • How do I eliminate those terrible noises when I adjust volume

While in iTunes I am sometimes listening to the songs using headphones connected to my iMac. Whenever I adjust the sound (up or down) I get a very annoying chirping sound that is at the same volume as the music. I have not found a separate setting to eliminate those, or at least greatly reduce the volume. Anyone know how to do this?

Yes, that is exactly what I meant (just didn't know what to call it). Thanks!!! I notice that unchecking that also eliminates other sounds, such as putting an item in trash. Is there a way to keep that, but eliminate the volume change feedback, or is is all or nothing? (If that is the case, nothing is preferable.)
    Thanks again

  • Please help with Horrible noises on Win 7 64bit install?

? I have an X-fi xtrememusic card that came from Dell preinstalled. The card works fine in 32 bit OSes and in 64bit linux but I'm disappointed yet again with this latest driver update that fixes nothing for me. I have terrible noises coming from the channels that do work. It's a 5. channel system. Any help and guidance would be appreciated. I had tried researching and fixing this before but put it on the back burner hoping an updated driver would eventually fix it. Win 7 RC has been out quite a while now and still no fix from Creative so here I am begging for help in a forum. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help. I have an nvidia video card that is sli ready but I don't have a 2nd card installed, not sure if that info matters.

What does dep compliant mean? Are you talking about Data Execution Prevention? I understand win 7 is still in beta or Release Candidate status. It is due to start shipping in only?a few months so if Creative doesn't get on the ball, OEM's will ship with other vendors hardware. My on board Realtek sound works just fine but I would like to use the "upgraded" card I paid good money for. I am using the latest driver from Creative which is for my configuration. Can you please be more specific with your assistance? To answer your queston, yes, device manager shows that Creative drivers are installed. Thank you for your [email protected]

  • HDMI/DVI video noise when running with 9400M

I have a late 2008 MBP. I connect it to my Sony 52W3000 using Apple's mini DisplayPort to DVI adaptor and a DVI to HDMI cable. When I use the Nvidia 9400M (Better Battery Life in Energy Saver system preference) I get lots of video noise in the form of little red pixels. When I switch to the 9600M (Higher Performance in Energy Saver) the image is beautiful and without noise.
Is this problem inherent with the 9400M? Is it Apple's DisplayPort -> DVI dongle? I would rather conserve battery AND have a decent video image. I'd also like to get a Mac Mini to as an HTPC but don't want the terrible noise I get from the MBP when using the 9400M. I somehow doubt it's an Nvidia problem.

I have a UniBody MacBook (before they were re-branded as PRO), with a GeForce 9400M. I get nasty white noise when using the Mini-DisplayPort to DVI cable, connecting to a Samsung 2333HD monitor via DVI (no HDMI involved here). I put a video on YouTube to document the issue. Quality is not great, but you can clearly see the white pixel noise on a black background. Looks like the sky at night. I'm wondering if this is a case for my AppleCare Protection...
