Territory Based Employee Determination

Hi All,
We are working on territory based employee determination in which Based on the territory, the system can automatically determine the employee responsible in the business transaction. For this,
I have already assigned the access sequence 0030 to the employee responsible in the partner determination procedure.
Now how will the territory get determined. I have maintained the attributes for sold to party assuming that the territory will get determined on the basis of that and then the employee responsible on the basis of territory.
Please guide if I am missing some step.
Regards
Aakshi Suri

Hi Aakshi,
Have you checked to ensure that the territory structure is maintained correctly and that the partner you entered into the transactions fits the criteria?
Access sequence 0030 is looking at the Sold-To partner function in the transcation. Can you please confirm that this is the correct partner you are trying to determine an employee from?
Regards,
David.

  • Employee Determination Techniques based on Territory in Business Trnsction.

    Dear all,
If I want to determine a territory based on customer, and Employee based on determined territory what configuration do I need to do?
I am planning to do the following configuration for Opportunity Management, please suggest me whether my understanding is correct or not.
Based on Rules defined in the territory for, customers will automatically assigned to the territory if the attribute value range matches.
Using Access Sequence 0030-Territory Mgmt user for the Customer (Sales Prospect) partner function in Partner determination procedure.
I believe this access sequence determines relevant territory based on Customer Attributes.
Once the territory determines in the Opportunity, based on territory I want to determine assigned Employee responsible.
    How can I do this?
Please suggest that how can we achieve this. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
    Best regards
    Raghu ram

    Hi Raghu,
There is  some steps to determine the employee responsible for a territory.
You have to define the oganisational model, define the territory, and the partner procedure linked to your activity type (opportunity...)
1- you create organisational model (PPOMA_CRM)
2- you define positions and affect employees to thoses positions
    3- SPRO: Customer Relationship Management
    Master Data
    Territory Management
Assign Partner Function to Assignment Function Category
Put there the Id of your patner funtion you want to use and TERR AFC 0000 and (if CRM 7.0) the Rel cat BUR011
4- define your patner procedure and link it to your activity type (use the best practice for territory setup to do that)
    3- create your territory
4- affect rules and positions (then employees will be affected automatically)
Do not forget to indicate the partner function in front of each employee affected to the territory (the choice list of this field come from the customisation you made the step before)
    DONE
    hope it will help.
    Best regards,
    Ahmed.

  • Employee determination in an account from Territory.

    Hi everyone,
We have a requirement in one of our projects where while we create an account, system should pick-up the employees for each of the relationship categories from "Territory Management". We have done this for Transactions but not for Master Data.
Now, what we have done in the system for this is as follows:
    1. Created a rule for account (through which the territory would get determined- Based on the Postal code).
    2. Created a territory and assigned that rule and employee to it via position.
    3. Now, when I create a new account with the Postal code(as stated in rule) , after running a background Job(se38), executing program: CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL in the background, the territories are getting determined.
    4. But on the basis of the territory the employees are not getting determined in that account( as a relation ship category - Has employee as)
    I have 2 questions on this :
    1. Can we do some settings so that the territory gets determined while Creating an account without running a background job everytime?
    2. How do we determined the employees automatically while creating account using this territory?
Your quick replies will be highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Aakshi Suri

    Hi Srini,
    Thanks for your views.
It surely did help running program CRM_TERRMAN_EMP_ASSIGN  in the background.
But can we do this without any background jobs?

  • Condition Based Interface Determination in ICO (AAE) - PI 7.1 EHP1

    Hi Friends,
    We have PI 7.1 EHP1 - SP 04.
In our scenario, we have 1 outbound interface and 2 inbound interface. Based on condition, it needs to select the first inbound interface or second inbound interface.
In the normal configuration, we are able to select. (By click + icon and add condition in the Receiver Interfaces in Interface Determination Step)
When we create configuration using ICO (Integrated Configuration), there is no option in "Receiver Interfaces" Tab to add two inbound interfaces with condition.
Could you please clarify how do we do this in ICO?
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

IMHO, condition based interface determination is not possible in ICO.
Use Multiple inbound service interfaces... You can handle in design level .. ESR level.
Check the Abhishek's blog... This  might be helpful.

Note: Since in your case you need two receiver agreements, you cannot handle through ICO. The above link might be helpful to do multimapping without BPM.

  • CIN - with TAXINJ and "condition based excise determination"

    Dear All,

If anyone already using the same, please share the problems faced / experience.
Actually I done settings for above scenario, but while GRN I am getting Message as " BED, AED and SED for the excise item is zero". And BED not getting populated while doing GRn.
I have created a tax code "C1" and assigned to company code.
THen I have maintained condition record for JMOP in FV11 for BED. ALso settings done J1ID.
PO is created with this tax code C1, taxes are getting calculated when
checked at Invoice tab at PO.
But while making GRN message comes "BED, AED and SED for the excise

  • Reg. condition based receiver Determination

    Hi,
I need to send the records to two systems based upon the value
For Ex. All the material group record letz say (1,2,3,4,5,6) Shuld go to Receiver1 and only the records which belongs to material grp shud go to Receiver2.
I am trying using Condition based Receiver Determination
       For Receiver 1 :-
I didnot give any condition.Coz all the records have to go to Reciver1.
       For Receiver 2 :-
I have written the condn in the Interface determination
                i.e) Material Group = 2.
But  All the records are going to these two receivers.I have tried everything.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Anandan

    Anandan,
Similar situation has worked for me. Please check the condition you have mention in Interface Determination.
In the Interface determination you need to have 2 inbound interfaces. Specify the respective condition for each inbound interface.
Example: if the Response field has the value as "Success" or "Failure" the message has to go to first interface. The message has to go to second interface only if the response is "Failure". so you can provided following condition in the interface determination:
    <b>Condition 1:For first inbound interface</b> (/p1:MessageType/RecordSet/Response = F) OR (/p1:MT_RESPONSE_FROM_PS_BI/RS/Response = S)
    <b>Condition 2:For second inbound interface</b> (/p1:MessageType/RecordSet/Response = F)
The above condition has worked for me. Hope this would be helpful to you.

  • Error FRM-41816: When creating a territory based on territory type

    Hi, guys!
So the problem is: I have a territory type for usage in Oracle Service, there are 3 transaction types defined - Service Request, Service Request and Task, Task - in this territory type.
So when I try to create territory based on this territory type, I get an Error FRM-41816: Attempt to create existing timer: POST_BLOCK_TRANX.
If I'm not using territory type to create a territory, this error doesn't show up.
Any solutions, would be greatly appreciated.

    Shira,
Sorry, just re-read your post. Am I correct in thinking that you want to use the Controllers assigned within SPM to act as the approvers in CUP?
If so, what support pack version are you on as I believe that this only works in SP08 due to a technical bug. This also impacts the SPM Owners acting as approvers.
You may also wish to check the connectors and authorisations of the connector IDs as without being able to read the tables, the approvers may not be found.

  • How to enhance Rule-based Employee assignment

    Hi,
we would like to enhance the Rule-based Employee assignment with additional Attributes from the BP Organisational Data.
Does anyone know, what we need to do?
    Cheers,
    D.H.

    Hello!
You can maintain Conditions and Actions within the Rule-Modeler. Here there is a context to maintain Rule-Policies related to the Business-Partner.
Have you already checked the attributes you can use for the Conditions? To my knowledge there are many attributes you can use and have also several options within the actions (not only assigning/removing the Employee, but also Partner-Functions, etc.).
BTW: The rule-based assignment can be triggered manually by the user within the account/contact overview page, or via scheduled batch program. (Report: CRM_BUPA_ASSIGN_EMPLOYEE)

  • Territory and partner determination procedure for employee responsible

    Hi CRM team,
I have a little issue for you I'll be very thankfull if someone could help me.
There is the organisation of the territory management in the company I'm working for:
    -Country
    -Region
    -sector
*each sector have a determination rule based on 1 condition "1 field from the BP Header (customer)"
*each sector have a position assigned to it. (Organisational model PPOMA_CRM) And there is 1 or 2 employee affected to each position..
    *When creating an activity,*
*First thing I enter the Account (customer: activity partner)*
*I would like the system to determine the employee affected to the sector of the BP as the employee responsible.*
    Any Idea?
For the moment, I'm searching in the partner determination procedure. But the standard access sequence Business Partner Relationships: Activity Partner -> User dont work.
There is some sitting from my IMG:
The partner fonction Employee Responsible is with
    *fonction category: employee
    *usage: CRM
*Relationship category: Is the employee responsible for
    Partner determination procedure:
In the acces sequence, I put a dialogue seq 15 :
    Business partner from territory
And in the detail on source, I put:
    Fonct. categ. : Employee
    Usage: CRM
    It dosn't work...
I don't know if I'm am searching in the right place.
Could you help me with a solution to have the needed system behavior????
Thanks a lot for your time and your help.
    Best regards,
    Ahmed.

    Hi Ahmed,
After created determination rules for territories have executed the report CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL for initial option?
Once territories and determination rules are created, you need to run the above report in Background(schedule a batch job) which will establish relationships between the territories and corresponding attributes. You need to run this report every time there is a change in determination rule of create/change territories.
    This should resolve your problem

    Priyanka

  • Employee determination on the basis of Org.Unit

    Hi expert,
I'd like to retrieve the employee responsible for a task from the organizational unit:
In the business scenario i've a person that, for each org unit, is in charge to fulfill this task; the expected behaviour would be that while creating a task, the employee responsible is automatically filled with the person, that for the identified org unit, is responsible.
I've set the access sequence "0009: organizational data employee for an organizational unit." in correspondence of the partner function Employee responsible; Now i don't know how to link that person to the org unit. Do i have to use position before?
    Regards
    C

    Carmine,
You would need to create a new access sequences based on organizational data.  Then you would also need to use a organizational data determination rule to determine which org unit/position should be used in the sequence.
If this can't work, then you need to implement the partner determination BADI (COM_PARTNER_BADI) to build your source determination logic so that it meets your needs.
    Good luck,
    Stephen

  • Condition based Interface determination

    Hi ,
    Environment : PI 7.1.
    Scenario : File to Proxy.
In this scenario , We have a single file interface which reads a file and routes the data to two different inbound interfaces.
Steps followed to do this -
    >>Defined two inbound interfaces interface1 & interface2.
    >>Both interfaces are pointed to same ECC system.
    >>Read the file using a single sender file communication channel.
    >>Define receiver ECC in the receiver determination.
    >> Define interface determination based on a value of a field in the file structure(source structure). Used XPATH to define this content based routing and selected operation mapping specific to the interface.
    1 sender agreement
1 receiver determination ( not using enhaced receiver determination because we have only one receiver)
1 interface determination which has two receiving interfaces based on XPATH condition ( maintain order runtime is checked)
    2 Receiver agreements.
    2 Communication channels.
For example if you have 10 lines in a file , out of which if 5 lines has a value related to interface 1 & 5 lines has a value related to interface 2. It should push the data into two different proxies as configured.
We are facing a problem in this scenario -
There is no consistency in the logic. Some times it runs interface 1 & some time it executes interface 2.
based on condition 1 it routes the data to interface 1 successfully but the structure is not getting created for interface 2 so it is giving an error stating the interface 2 structure is not available.
In SXMB_MONI the branching steps show two subnodes but if you see the log it shows that in subnode 1 the sender is sender interface & the receiver is interface 1 based on the filter condition. If you see the log for subnode 2 then it shows the sender is sender & the receiver as interface 2 below that it shows another entry which shows the reciver interface is interface2.
Please evaluate and let us know if the approach we are following works or not. If there is any limitations please let us know how to achive this.
    Regards,
    Reddy

    Hi,
Your design is correct but here you missed one point. Here the message is send either to receiver1 or receiver2  depending on the condition but not both. As this does not result in multiple messages with the same payload because only one condition can ever be true at runtime. For more details see the below link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/46/8015de950e6be3e10000000a155369/frameset.htm
If you want to create multiple message then you need do 1:n mapping :

  • Content based receiver determination with Seeburger AS2 adapter

We are planning to use the Seeburger AS2 adapter on our XI 3.0 installation to post custom XML documents to XI from external business partners.  The problem we have is to do the receiver and interface determination based on the xml message type that is submitted.  How can we identify what is the name of the root xml node (which is representing the message type that was submitted to us) during the receiver determination and specify conditions for the receiver determination based on this?  We can not use the Seeburger Classifier module here as this is only determining the mapping name to be used for an EDI conversion but can not handle any type of XML message.

    Rudy,
I think the easiest way would still be the ReceiverDetermination and creating an XSD that contains the main important TAGs from the different messages.
That should allow you to test for the existing of certain important TAGs or check the value of some TAGS.
I don´t know about aedaptive-adapters, but I don´t think that they are Drummond-Certified. Check out...
    http://www.drummondgroup.com/html-v2/as2-companies.html
Without this certification, a lot of your partners might not allow you to use this adapter if you wanna make AS2 with them.

  • Counter based warranty determination

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is warranty should be determined when equipment reading is less than u201C10u201D and when counter reading exceeds 10 warranty should not be determined.
    I have created new counter. Counter category-equipment, counter type-forward counter, counter unit-HR(hours),minimum value-1,maximum value-20,overflow value-21
I have created counter dependent warranty. Warranty type-customer warranty, warranty basis-counter dependent, counter attribute-equipment running hours, counter attribute value-10(warranty is applicable till counter value is less than 10) and counter unit-HR(hours).
Then I have assigned new counter and warranty to install base object.
*When I create service order and enter this install base object reference object, warranty(counter based) is getting determined. Then if I enter counter reading greater than u201C10u201D,still warranty is shown being determined(it should not be determined because counter reading is more than u201C10u201D
Request experts opinion on this. What settings need to be done so that counter based warranty is determined till counter value does not exceeds u201C10u201D.

    Hi Roypurohit,
    Thanks for the response,
As you said..there is no specific reason for not downloading material and serial number from ECC. We can download these combination as Installed base.
    My concerns are
The installed base coming from ECC is not carrying Warranty information, and as per out client it is not impossible to assing warranty to each installed base and IOobject manually. it has to be automated.
secondly, installed based is getting created after outbound delivery in ECC and replicating to CRM. But as per client process, warranty only starts after Invoice document created in ECC system. Then how to capture invoice creation date details in warranty and how to assign it to respective installed base / IO object automatically.
In SAP CRM where can we see the downloaded Ibase and IO Objects? What is the difference between these two?
I hope you have understood the requirment. Please help me that how to resolve this issue.
    Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

  • Employee Determination

    Hello All,
I am trying to determine a Manager in a Transaction, who is assigned to a Org unit under position Manager.
    1) Do i need to first have a Org determination profile assigned to Txn, to determine the Org Unit Manager?
2)Later have Access sequence assigned to Partner Function 'Manager' - which will determine employee assigned to org unit "manager" ?
Is there any other way to determine in a Txn?
    Thanks

    Dear Sweta,
    Please find my comment.
    1) Do i need to first have a Org determination profile assigned to Txn, to determine the Org Unit Manager?
First you should have Org determination profile to determine your Sales org. unit only.
2)Later have Access sequence assigned to Partner Function 'Manager' - which will determine employee assigned to org unit "manager" ?
To Determine a manger, you can also use BP Relationship Access Sequence.
First system will automatically pick the employee responsible from the user. If user has a reporting manager then Reporting manager can be picked automatically.
    a) First, you need to create the relationship between both employees (user & manager).
    b) Use the access sequence "BP relationship".
    It should work.
Please explore this and share the result.
    Best regards,
    Dinesh
