TES 5.3.1 Client on Windows 7 in XP Mode

Has anyone tried to run a 5.3.1 Client on Windows 7?  It's not supported on this platform but I would have thought it should theoretically run if you have the Windows XP compatibility mode option installed.

Alastair,
We do support Windows 7 with TES 5.3.1 starting with client build 5.3.1.303. I do recommend running in XP compatibility mode because you lose some features such as maximize/minimize running the client using Windows 7.

  • No Jabber client for Windows Phone 8.1

Can you advise on when a Jabber client for Windows Phone 8.1 will be released?

Roadmap questions cannot be addressed here, either ask in a partner forum, or reach your SE/AM for this.

  • How to create a VPN client for Windows Phone 8.1?

We have our own VPN client for Windows and Android. I would like to create a VPN client  for Windows phone 8.1. After referring these site I found that there are some third
party VPN plugins available for WP 8.1.
I checked OpenVPN but it is also not available for WP 8.1.
Is there any APIs available for creating a VPN client in WP 8.1 similar to
VpnService provided by Android SDK ?

The VPN APIs for WP8.1 are not open at this time.

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined

  • Directory Caching issue with Cisco Jabber client for Windows

    Hi ,
I am facing cache issue with Cisco Jabber client for Windows. If I do any change related to modification or deletion of contacts in Active Directory/ Callmanager, it does not reflect in the Jabber. Because jabber takes the contacts from the locally stored cache file in the Windows system.
Every time I have to remove the cache file to overcome this issue, practically it's not possible to do the same with all the Widows users. As, if any employee leaves the company and still I can see his contact appears in the "Cisco Jabber client". I have not seen this issue with Android/Apple iOS.
Is there any automated way to remove the cache file?
Here is the detail of CUCM,Presence and Jabber.
    CUCM version: 9.1.x
    Presence          : 9.1.X
    Jabber              : 10.5 and 10.6

    Hello
On our environment we had to install a dedicated Microsoft Certificate Authority "just for Cisco Jabber usage" to house the
    Network Device Enrollment Service.
Our certificate for the CUPS were generated on this Certification Authority too.
I discussed this certificate matter with my colleagues this afternoon and nobody seems to remember how these certificates were deployed into the
Enterprise Trust store for the users.
But I think they asked all 400 users to accept the 3 certificates by answering "yes" to the popup instead of using a script deployed by GPO...
I wish you success with that deployment and really hope you have a technical partner that *Knows* this subject.
Our partner left us alone with that unfortunately.
    Florent
EDIT: If the "Certutil script method" works, please let me know. This could be useful in our own deployment.

  • VPN Client and Windows Folder Synchronisation

We are currently having problems with Windows XP Laptops which have folders Synchronised to Servers.
When they are working remotely, they use the VPN client to connect to the network. Unfortunately, the VPN Client Adapter does not appear in the "Network Connection" drop down menu within the Synchronisation Setup screens. This means that the synchronisation takes place once the Physical Adapter (LAN or Wireless) comes active and an error message appears everytime.
Has anyone come across this and found a fix for it ? There must be a away of getting the VPN LAN Adapter into the Synchronisation Network Connection list.

The only supported IPSec client for Windows 7 is 5.0.6. I would recommend uninstalling the client version that you have, upgrade the DNE package from Citrix, and then install the latest IPSec client.

  • How to run SAP BUSINESS ONE 8.8 clients on windows and use MaxDB on linux/W

    Good day,
As the subject shows we have SAP BUSINESS ONE 8.8 and I want to find out how to use it in combination with MaxDB instead of MS SQL. I find a lot of MaxDB stuff on the net but no guides on how to setup SAP BUSINESS ONE 8.8 clients on windows workstations and connect them to MaxDB.
Is this possible and if so how do I go about doing it ?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated .

    Hi,
I suggest you to check the supported server for B1 in this link:
    http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/platforms
You will know the sap b1 supported platform.
If you really want to use maxDB on linux/W as B1 server, you can send a development request to SAP AG.

    No problem.
Make sure your resources are set at the proper location. Could be that tje jni.jar is under a 'lib' folder?
Normally you don't have to worry about deployment a lot if you are using like Netbeans 7.2 or higher.
When you press 'Clean and build' it creates your deployed files in the 'dist' folder.
You can change specification by adapting the build.xml file.
Of course lot of different possibilities are available for deployment!
You can find lot of info here:
Important to know is if you want to work with
    - a standalone application (self-contained or not)
    - with webstart
    - or with applets
(In my case I'm using webstart, but also Self-Contained Application Packaging (jre is also installed!)

  • Multiple clients on Windows 7?

I currently have a 64-bit Oracle 11gR2 client on Windows 7 64-bit desktop accessing an Oracle 10g database. This set-up works fine to reach the database either via SQL-PLUS or via a QlikView 64-bit desktop client.
The problem is that Toad for Data Analysts, which I need to access the same 10g database, only works with a 32-bit Oracle client.
Can I have 2 clients on my desktop: a 64-bit Oracle administrator installation for Qlikview and a 32-bit Oracle Instant Client for Toad? Do I use copies of the same TSNAMES.ORA in both installations since they are accessing the same database?
    Thanks!

OK...moving forward... I have downloaded and unzipped the 32-bit Oracle Instant Client that I need for Toad; however, there seems to be no installation files or HOME folder. The installation instructions simply say to unzip it into a folder and set the path to that folder.
When I open the Oracle Universal Installer to set the path, it only identifies that I have installed the 64-bit (full) client and not the Instant Client.
    What am I missing, please?
Does the Instant Client even use the TSNAMES.ORA? If so, I don't know where to put it.

What should I do to configure it successfully?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Vivek,
I tried following steps in local POC:
    1. Install 9.3.1,
    2. Upgrade it to 9.3.3,
    3. configure it.
but getting issue with "Server and cluster registration" I am getting error as, "An error occurred while adding Cluster to the list."
Any idea how to resolve it? I am not able to configure HFM 9.3.3 client.
and also I can see *"Web server, Related Content & Smart view provider tabs in configuration utility"*, along with error while opening two of these three tabs *"Failed to obtain IIS version. Please check the IIS installation"*

I disagree with your assessment, for two reasons.
One is the severity for RAM is listed as Severity:IGNORABLE.
Secondly I just saw this happen to myself just a moment ago (which is how I found this threat) as well using a silent install on a Windows 2008r2 server I can install to using the setup.exe manually. so disk and memory really isn't an issue.
I suspect something else is going on here. If you read those warnings the Critical they are just the last two about disk space and the PATH variable. Perhaps I am not running as elevated as I thought or the C$ share is not reach able. I am going to keep trying and will report back here when I get my silent install working.

  • How To Install Informatica and DAC Client on windows

    Dear Friends,
I had installed Oracle Informatica 8.6.1 and Oracle DAC Server (10.1.3.4.1) on Linux server (RHEl 32 bit)
Now i want to install Informatica and DAC Clients on windows machine.
Where to download the software and in the existing Dump i don't find any install.bat file / client folder as mentioned in some sites.
    Please help
    Regards,
    DB

    Hi,
When you have downloaded the informatica software you will get 2 zip files (V20952-01_1of2.zip,V20952-01_2of2.zip). When you Unzip these two files you will find pc861_client_win32_x86.zip file.
Unzip this pc861_client_win32_x86.zip file and browse to this location pc861_client_win32_x86\Client\Disk1\InstData\VM, here you will find install.exe an executable file. This will install informatica client.
For installing DAC browse to this location DAC 10.1.3.4.1\dac\Disk1\install\win32 and there you will find setup.exe executable file. This will install DAC.
If you need further information plz do post it......

  • Install Oracle 11.2.0.3 32Bit Client on Window 7 x64

    Good morning,
I just tried to install the new Oracle 11.2.0.3 32Bit Client on Windows 7 x64, most of it
works - just the OLEDB drivers are not registered ... does anyone know
how to register them manually ? the 11.2.0.2 Client works fine ....
And please don't answer "use the 64 Bit client". This is not the solution - since I have
a lot of programs that still need the 32 Bit Client ...
By the way the update from 11.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.3 does not work ... the installer fails ....
    Thanks for any info.
    Nils

  • Failed to install 64-bit Oracle client on Windows 8.1

I just tried to install the 64-bit client on Windows 8.1 with 16GB of ram.
First of all, I got the INS-13001 warning that my environment does not meet minimum requirements, even though I was just installing a client!
I chose to ignore the warning and installed anyway.
It doesn't look like the install completed successfully.
For one thing, it did not create a bin folder.
Also when I tried to remove it using the OUI, I was told to use the deinstall utility in the deinstall folder, which is not there either.
How am I supposed to remove this seemingly incomplete installation?

An example of what you are trying to do, by analogy:
You have a truck engine (Oracle)
It was designed for a 2007 Volvo truck body.
You are trying to put it into a 2010 Ford truck body.
Why are you surprised it does not fit? (or if it fits, why it is not quite correct!)Please tell me where I indicated "surprise"?
Actually, what I was trying to do was get a serious answer rather than a smart-a$$ response.
If you've used software a little, you would realize that saying something is not yet "formally supported" does not mean that there is not a way to make it work. TONS of software does not yet claim it will work with Windows 7, but somehow magically it does. Possibly with problems or issues to workaround, but functional.
I was asking, if on my development machine, there is a way to make the current client work.
In any event - it turns out installing the 32-bit client rather than the 64-bit client does seem to make most things work, at least well enough for my current needs.
Thank you for your very informative response anyway.

  • Error during installing oracle client on windows XP

    Hi everybody,
I want to install Oracle Client on Windows XP. I downloaded and installed Client version 10g on several PCs. But one of them gives me error - 'oui.exe - error'. Cant start oui.exe. Is it problem of Windows XP or ? I just cant start GUI of OUI.exe...
    regards,
    rustam

    1. Check the administrative privilege of that windows machine.
    2. Copy the binaries of client again in your machine. It may be corrupted.
    3. Restart your machine and try again.
