Minimum system requirements for installing Oracle Application Testing Suite
Hi,
Can anyone tell me what are the minimum system requirements for intalling Oracle Application Testing Suite?
Thanks in AdvanceFrom the release notes (12.1.0.2).
System Requirements
Oracle Application Testing Suite has the following system requirements:
4
3.1 Oracle Functional Testing/OpenScript
Oracle Functional Testing’s OpenScript scripting platform has the following system
requirements:
■ Operating System (32-bit and 64-bit versions): Windows XP, Windows Vista,
Windows 2003, Windows 7, Windows 2008
■ Memory: Minimum 1 GB
■ System: x86, 32-bit or 64-bit processor, 2.6 GHz or faster
■ Disk Space: 4 GB minimum
■ Browser: Internet Explorer 7.x, 8.x., 9.x and Firefox 3.5/3.6, 6.x
3.2 Oracle Load Testing
Oracle Load Testing has the following system requirements:
■ Operating System (32-bit and 64-bit versions): Windows XP, Windows Vista,
Windows 2003, Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows 2008 R2. Oracle Enterprise
Linux 5.1, 5.2 64, 4u8.
■ Memory: Minimum 2 GB.
■ System: x86, 32-bit or 64-bit processor, 2.6 GHz or faster
■ Disk Space: 10 GB minimum free (at least 3 GB free on the system drive)
■ Browser: Internet Explorer 7.x, 8.x, 9.x, Firefox 3.5/3.6, 6.x
■ Database: Oracle EE 10g or 11g, XE 10g
■ Application Server: Oracle WebLogic 11g (10.3.5.0). Oracle Application Testing
Suite requires the standard WebLogic Server installation (which includes jrocket
jdk.). It does not support generic versions of WebLogic Server installation (such as
those that use wls1035_generic.jar).
■ Oracle Load Testing Agent also supported on Linux 32-bit & 64-bit, in addition to
Windows 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems listed above
Note: These are minimum requirements only and actual
requirements for the Oracle Load Testing Server will vary depending
on the size and configuration of your load test. If you are running
larger load tests, of greater than 1000 Virtual Users, you should
consider deploying Oracle Load Testing on a faster server class
machine with additional RAM recommended.
Note: Oracle recommends running the Oracle Load Testing Server
and Agents on separate systems for production load testing. The
amount of memory required on the Oracle Load Testing Agent
systems may increase based on the number of Virtual Users that will
be assigned to run on each Agent. For more information, visit the
QA/Testing Technology Center on Oracle Technology Network or
contact your Oracle representative.
5
3.3 Oracle Test Manager
Oracle Test Manager has the following system requirements:
■ Operating System (32-bit and 64-bit versions): Windows XP, Windows Vista,
Windows 2003, Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows 2008 R2. Oracle Enterprise
Linux 5.1, 5.2, 4u8.
■ Memory: Minimum 2 GB.
■ System: x86, 32-bit or 64-bit processor, 2.6 GHz or faster
■ Disk Space: 10 GB minimum free (at least 3 GB free on the system drive)
■ Browser: Internet Explorer 7.x, 8.x, 9.x, Firefox 3.5/3.6, 6.x
■ Database: Oracle EE 10g or 11g, XE 10g
■ Application Server: Oracle WebLogic 11g (10.3.5.0). Oracle Application Testing
Suite requires the standard WebLogic Server installation (which includes jrocket
jdk.). It does not support generic versions of WebLogic Server installation (such as
those that use wls1035_generic.jar).
3.4 Additional Notes
The following are additional notes about system requirements:
■ The ATS installer can automatically install and configure an Oracle 10g Express
Edition (XE) database for use with Oracle Load Testing and Oracle Test Manager.
Although this is useful for demos, for production usage switching to Oracle's 11g
Enterprise Edition database is highly recommended. Oracle 11g Standard Edition
and Oracle 10g EE or SE are also supported.
■ System memory requirements do not take into account other processes that may
be running and using memory on your system, reducing free uncommitted
memory available.
■ When installed on the same machine, Oracle Load Testing and Oracle Test
Manager will run on the same server and use shared system resources. Oracle
Functional Test/OpenScript is a separate application that have its own memory
and CPU requirements.
■ The ATS products will run in 32-bit compatibility mode when installed on 64-bit
operating systems. It is possible for Oracle Application Testing Suite to be installed
on an existing WebLogic server. However, if the pre-installed WebLogic server is
JRockit plus WebLogic (64-bit) environment, some functions in Oracle Application
Testing Suite will not work properly. Oracle Application Testing Suite can be
installed on a 32-bit WebLogic, but not a 64-bit.
■ The legacy Oracle Functional Testing, VB-based scripting platform and associated
components (such as Job Scheduler) are no longer included with the ATS installer
Note: These are minimum requirements only and actual
requirements for Oracle Test Manager will vary depending on the
quantity of test assets stored and number of concurrent users
accessing the application. If you have a large quantity of test cases,
requirements or issues stored and/or are deploying Oracle Test
Manager for a team greater than 10 users, you should consider
deploying Oracle Test Manager on a faster server class machine with
additional RAM recommended.

How to select test cases efficiently for a test package?
Dear experts,
I would like to ask you if you have found a way administer how to assign test cases to test packages and test packages to testers. For regression tests this assignment remains relatively stable (often the key users).
Do you know a way to administer this within the solution manager - or do you recommend the old excel table.Hello Ragu!
Thank you for your answer! My question was regarding the organisational side, I didn't get this clear.
I know how to generate a test package and how to assign a tester to a test package but where do I get the information which test packages I need and which tester to assign to which package.
Maybe a good option is to assign the tester as a team member on the process step level. Thus the assignments can be listed with SOLAR_EVAL using "Assignments / Test Cases" with option "Display Team Members". This list would help to generate the test packages. The selection of the test cases for the test package has do be done manually because there seems to be no filter for team members.

Hello All,
I am a newbie to SAP.
I have been tasked with finding the test data for a few BAPi's but have been unable to do so on my own.
I have tried using the respective transactions to find valid test data and have looked at all the imports, tables in the given bapi but have been unable to find the required data.
I am working on ECC 6.0.
I ask all the learned folk out here to please lend your expertise.
The list of BAPI's are :-
1. BAPI_FUNCLOC_GETLIST
2. BAPI_CONTROL_RECEPIE_GET_LIST
3. BAPI_PROCORDCONF_GET_HDR_PROP
4. BAPI_PROCORD_GET_LIST
Edited by: aashrith on Nov 13, 2011 5:03 PMI suspect that they want you to build some test data rather than find some. And for what you need, there is a lot of master data required. It may or may not be there already, but the task you have defined is not that simple as one or two posts would be required. I would google "SAP PPPI test data" or something similar. You will probably find simple lists of tasks to build a sample Control Recipe or Process Order.

Generation of test limit masks for frequency response (limit testing in SAV)
Does anyone know a simple way for generating test limit masks from a saved frequency response?
The saved frequency response is from a reference measurement, and I need the limits to follow this response. I must be able to punch in different dB values for upper and lower limit, and for different frequency bands.
Thanks
TrulsCiao emmanuele,
I think what you are searching for is the Extract Single Tone Information.vi that you can find under Waveform-->Analog Wfm-->Measurements-->Extract Tone.
Have you already taken a look?

Updating the template for Test Case Description
Hi All,
Greetings...
In one of my projects, I want to customize the template provided by the SAP in test case description.
We can add test case description while creating Manual Test Case (Tx: STWB_TC), Test Script and Test Configuration (Tx: SECATT)
I want ot update the default template with the custom template.
We had tried to update the same in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN --> select Project --> Project Standard --> Project Templates --> Documantation Types, selected TD1, Test Case Description of Complete Directory of Document Types and using Document Template --> Change and Import we tried to update the template. In the document type, it has been changed but it is not reflecting in the other transactions.
Please help me in this regard to update the test case description.
Thanks in Advance
SamanHi,
More information about the issue....
We are creating the test scripts both manual and automated.
Manual
Using the Tx. STWB_TC, we are creating the manual test cases. While doing so we will provide the test case desctiption
Automated ECATT
using the Tx. SECATT, we are creating the Test Configuration. We are providing description through the documentation option.
The SAP format for both documents is
&DESCRIPTION&
&PREPARATION&
&ENTRANCE&
&REALIZE&
&CHECK&
&FURTHER_HINTS&
But we want the format to be
<DESIGNSTEPS>
<INPUTDATA>
<EXPECTEDRESULT>
<TARGETSYSTEM>
So we want to update the format / template to reflect the changes.
Please guide us to do so.
Thanks and Regards

TFS with VS2013 and MTM, for CodedUITest test-cases.
Hello!
I have a blocking issue: TF900558: This build process template cannot be run on a build server Default Controller - <servername>. Upgrade this build server to a newer version.
What I am trying to do, is get some pre-'captured' CodedUItests done with VS2013, and use MTM as the 'front-end' in order to run test-cases and report, by associating some test-cases with these CodedUI elements.
Now, I have the latest version of VS2013 installed on a virtual-machine, which contains my test-environment which tests webpages. TFS is a little older and cannot be upgraded right now, as the team are just too busy.
It seems a potential work-around, is to change 'the template' so that it matches what is used by TFS.
Anyone any idea how I should go about this, and if my theory is sound (if not ideal)?
I could really use some step-by-step-guidance here, and have email rather than keep adding to this thread, until resolved.Hi MonsoonMally,
Based on your description, you might use a build process template which is newer than the TFS build controller/agetnt. You can upgrade your TFS on your build machine or use the old build process template that match to build controller.
To upgrade your build controller, you can refer to this blog for more information:http://blogs.blackmarble.co.uk/blogs/rfennell/post/2014/02/01/Upgraded-older-Build-and-Test-Controllers-to-TFS-2013.aspx

Test cases in Solution manager
I have uploaded two test case documents under 'Test case' tab for a Business Process in the transaction solar02.
But those two test documents does not appear in STWB_WORK for that Business Scenario.
Any advices?Hi,
Perhaps this might be of interest to you, if it happens that inconsistency is affecting the availability of your test documents
You can use the program as it does not do any harm to
your projects (it does not delete anything, it add only some entries
to a table, if at any circumstances they are missing)
The use of the program is quite simple.
Start transaction SE38 and enter the program GHE_CHECK_TTREEI_ENTRIES
and hit execute (F8).
In the next screen enter the project you would like to check using the
F4-help.
There is also a field TEST. When you enter here 'X' then no modification
will be done, but only the check whether there are entries missing
is performed.
If the program finds any missing entries, simply re-run the program
without the 'X' at field TEST and the program corrects the inconsistency
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Dear friends,
I am working with Sol Man 4.0 SP 12.
In SOLAR02, under "test cases" tab i have uploaded some test cases. Now i want to "Export" one test case to my lacal desktop. But the "Export" option is not available for "Test cses" tab. But the "export" option is available for "Project Documentation" tab.
Is it possible to enhance this "Export" option for "test cases" tab in SOLAR02?
