Test communication from SLD

XI experts,
Is there any way to test communication with the configured system (third party / SAP) from SLD itself?
When we create a RFC destination in SM59 , we have facility of testing connection with the target system there itself. Is there similar functionality available with SLD?

Adding to what others have said ,
"Call transaction SLDCHECK to make sure that you established a connection between the Integration Server and the System Landscape Directory during the post-installation steps described in the Installation Guide SAP Exchange Infrastructure 3.0. The system displays a log that lists the current configuration data, the function test results, errors, and notes for checking. Use this log to verify that the connection works properly. Furthermore, make sure that you have defined the following RFC destinations for the connection between the Integration Server and the SLD:
LCRSAPRFC SAPSLDAPI The program ID (LCRSAPRFC_<SID> or SAPSLDAPI_<SID>, respectively) must correspond to an entry under JCo RFC provider for the SAP J2EE Engine."
Did you see this part in configuration guide, Correct me if i am mistaken with your requirement.

I get the following error (red ball) when I test my adapter configuration (SLD access) for http://sap.com/xi/XI/System:
SLD host:port = netweaver1:50000
Error getting JPR configuration from SLD. Exception: No entity of class SAP_BusinessSystem for DEV.SystemHome.netweaver1 found
No access to get JPR configuration
I have checked the other referenced notes but nothing yet has helped. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I may resolve this issue?

Communication from the Oracle Mngt service host to the agent host failed

Hi There,
I have installed Oracle 10.2.0.1 Grid software on a Solaris Zone. I plan to upgrade it to 10.2.0.5 very soon but would like to test the agent connection from a remote server first. I installed agent version 10.2.0.5 on the remote server. When I log into the oracle grid GUI I can see the host called "localhost" (this is not the correct name. It should be the server name) and the database instances on that server. However, when I select the localhost and press the configure button I get the following message:
Communication from the Oracle Mngt service host to the agent host failed. Refer to help for details localhost:cn=servername
The system administrators changed the /etc/hosts file to make sure the server was listed first fully qualified. For example: servername.domain.com instead of servername. However, this did no make a difference.
Could the issue be any of the following:
- Oracle 10.2.0.1 GRID does not work with 10.2.0.5 agents ?
- Oracle GRID in general don't work on SOLARIS Zones?

OMS - -> Agent communication is not upward compatible
Downward, so Agent 10.2.0.1 --> OMS 10.2.0.5, should not be a problem.
In the last case however, you would not have access to any 10.2.0.5 Agent features.
So you can choose from 2 working options:
1 - Install the 10.2.0.1 Agent
2 - Upgrade your OMS to 10.2.0.5 (preferable)

Error while accessing menus in Runtime workbench from SLD

Hi I am getting following error while accessing menus in runtime workbench from SLD.( example: SLD->runtime workbench->component monitorung ->display)
"Error during communication with System Landscape Directory: User credentials are invalid or user is denied access "
I am using PISUPER to login to SLD and i am able to login to XI using this ID. I could find role -SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER - also in the user id profile of PISUPER.

Check if the roles are generated. Or ask your basis team to check.
IF the roles are generated then you have to check if exchange profile if the right username is mentioned or not. IF username is right then reenter the password.
Check the following parameter in exchange profile.
com.sap.aii.rwb.serviceuser.name
com.sap.aii.rwb.serviceuser.pwd

How can we upload test cases from excel to MTM 2013

Hi,
In my current project we are using Microsoft Test Manager 2013. We have prepared test cases in excel.
How can we upload these test cases from excel to MTM 2013. I have tried with TestCaseMigratorPlus but it is giving some exceptions.

If you encountered any issues when using TestCaseMigratorPlus with MTM2013, please download this package uploaded at August 28 here:
https://tcmimport.codeplex.com/SourceControl/list/patches which allows to use this tool with VS2013 and TFS 2013. Maybe it can resolve your issue.
If you still can't use TestCaseMigrationPlus tool with MTM2013,as far as I know, currently there is no other tool for importing test cases from Excel to MTM2013. But we can highlight and copy
all actions and expected results from Excel and then paste it to test case steps. For detailed steps, please see ‘Add action and validation test steps from Microsoft Excel or Word’ section in this document:

Run test case from command line

Hi All,
Working environment : VS 2013 professional
Project type : Unit test project for (Windows 8.1 and Windows phone 8.1)
I have a set of unit test cases and want to run it on command line.I tried MSTest.ext and vstest.console.exe for running test case but not succeed.
command :  MSTest.exe /testcontainer:path of project dll
command :  vstest.console.exe path of project dll
Type of Error
Error : Unit test case for windows store and windows phone app can't be run outside appcontainer.
Error : No tests to execute
command :  MSTest.exe /testcontainer:path of appx
command :  vstest.console.exe path of appx
Error : root certificate error
I just want to run windows 8.1 and windows phone 8.1 run test cases from command line.

Based on your issue, as far as I know that if we want to run unit test for windows store and windows phone app using mstest.exe or vstest.console.exe in command line, you will need to execute the .appx instead of the dll in command line.
In addition, I tried to run the appx for unit test in command line,
but I found that I also get the same issue as yours. I could not execute the appx for unit test in command line successfully. But if we run it with VS IDE in Test
Explorer windows, it seems that it works fine.

Hi Yuvaraj,
To export test cases in TFS 2013 to an Excel file, you can follow the steps as below:
Create a query for the test cases that you want to export in Team Explorer
Open an empty Excel file, click the tab of "Team"
Click "New List" and then select the TFS server and the detailed team project
In query list, select the query you created before, then click OK to export the test cases

To check ink levels I am told to print self test. page from cpu or printer.

There is no way to print a test page on my" psc 2410 all in one" connected to a HP cpu with Win 7, 64 bit. Is there a workaround/

The page here shows how to print a self-test report from the front panel, but it does not appear to have ink level information. I have not used a PSC 2410 for years, but the following may give you what you need: press the # and * buttons together on the printer. The screen will say "Enter special key combination". Press 1 2 3. This should bring up a service menu. Use the right arrow button repeatedly to bring up a "Special Reports" screen, OK, then right arrow to select "Cartridges" or some similar, then press OK. A page will print with ink level information shown about the middle of the page.

Error in IB (When trying to import objects into ESR from SLD or from server

Hi Experts,
We are facing an error with the Integration builder recently. When we open Enterprise Services Repository of PI 7.1, we are able to see the GUI with objects perfectly. When we try to import an object into the repository from the server ( In ESR, choose Tools -> Import Design objects -> From Server), we are thrown with an exception...
Error when exectuting search (QUERY_ERROR)
& java.lang.NullPointerException
The server throws the above two exceptions. I have pasted the logs of the error when trying to import an object from the server and also from the sld, below.

Thanks for your inputs. I myself am a basis guy. I ve already checked all the authorizations given to the user - PISUPER, and have found it to be fine. Can't understand why this security issue crops up still. anyways, i m getting this error when trying to import an object from the server. Error while trying to import Software components from SLD.

Hi Gurus,
Need Help.
When we are trying to import Software components from SLD we are getting following error. Could not read list of software component versions from SLD. In Description i am getting following two points.
1. Could not read list of software component versions from SLD (COULD_NOT_READ_SWCV)
2. User credentials are invalid or user is denied access
We have tried following
1. LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI are working fine.
2 SLDAPICUST is ok
3. In nwa connections are available for LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI.
Request you to let us know how to resolve this issue.

HP 1055 cm Plus Plotter will not print Test Page from any port - Vista 64

Hello,
Have a brand new computer with the Vista 64 bit platform and an HP 1055 cm Plus Plotter. I have downloaded the software and drivers from the web, and got it to recognize the plotter. With the plotter as the default, it will not print a test page from any of the ports. I have tried all of the ports multiple times. I must have the wrong driver, or is there another problem I am missing?
Please help, and help quickly, my idiotic boss keeps hounding me and making the most ridiculous suggestions "try turning it on and off again" "Why do you even need a driver, just print it", etc. etc. HELP!

Synchronization from SLD to LMDB is working fine, but data is not written to Software ==> Product Instance section tab. What could be the problem ? Normally it should gather automatically, but pushed me to select manually lots of component ???

You have to ensure that your Technical System info is properly filled automatically.
In LMDB you first create its Product System on LMDB Start Screen ProductSystem tab, after that please assign its respective Technical System. You probably need to run the Verification Check in order to confirm that your Product System has all Product Instances according on Technical System's Software Component Versions.

Delete the Business System in your IR and ID, if any interfaces are developed under this BS.
See if any items in locked state...and also after deleting it...activate it and refresh the cache. this shud help
If you deleted from everywhere then it should not give that message.
Try after refresh cache using SXI_CACHE.
Finally Delete the BS from SLD
In general , that to be you are facing this type of problem only inthis situation , then you have to refresh SLD cache.

You could use LiveCycle Data Services or Blaze DS for that or
you can create Socket Connections.
There are a couple of good chapters on the basics of socket
connections in the ActionScript 3.0 Cookbook and LCDS and Blaze DS
both have a host of blogs and good documentation covering how to
use them.
If you have a ColdFusion server LCDS is built in making it
much easier to setup and use.
