Test content server connection doesn't work

Hello,
I have installed Content Server 6.40 in windows2008 and the test connection does not work. The URL http://onecsrdev:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo
says
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
   Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
I loof for the contentserver.dll file and it does not exist in the server. When I installed the content server I mark the flag install website, so I don't understand what the problem is.
I have updated the MAXDB software to 7.6.06.11 because the DVD installation release is not valid for windows2008. SAP has guided me through this issue.
Thanks and best regards,
Ana

You get a connection to  "onecsrdev"? Can internet explorer resolve the name? Proxies activated?

go to settings>general> reset network connections  and then try again

  • Wired connection doesn't work if cable is not plugged in at boot time

    Hey all,
I started using arch a few days ago and I simply love it, but I have a problem. The wired connection doesn't work if the cable is not plugged in at boot time, or if it was plugged in at boot time, then plugged out and in again. Switching it off and on again via the gui has the same effect. I am using NetworkManager with dhcpcd, NetworkManager is started via systemd, dhcpcd is not, I let NetworkManager do that. When I started investigating this problem there were some remnants of netctl, but now NetworkManager is the only networking-related service started at boot time. When the cable is plugged back in, NM-applet shows that it's connected, and an IP address is assigned, but the connection doesn't work.
Here's some information regarding the system:
It's a lenovo G50-70 laptop, it uses the r8169 driver for ethernet. (I dualboot it with windows 8.1, but arch is default and all this stuff happens also if i only use arch)
The router is a Linksys EA2700/N600
    journalctl -u NetworkManager

Try to use dhclient perhaps?  Might I also suggest letting systemd deal with the dhcp issue and not NM.  That may seem incongruous but it is possible NM is mis-handling the dhcp hand-off to the network card.  I'm no guru but I got thinking about this when I saw this in your output:

It is very possible that I'm mis-interpreting this information so please take it with a boulder of salt.

  • Content Server connection problems

    SAP Content Server connection problems
I have installed the SAP Content Server on a Windows 2003 server. I connected to the Max DB on the remote server from Database Manager on my PC. I created repositories in R/3 in OAC0 and CSADMIN and saved documents to the Content Server. This all took a few hours from O/S install to saving a document in the repository, so I do understand the basics of the Content Server and Max DB.
Unfortunately we are not going to use Windows; we will be running this on UNIX. Therefore I'm trying it out on a Linux system while I wait for the AIX system to be available. It's been a long road but I have finally gotten the install to finish 'successfully' however I can't connect from R/3.
When I run the check http://10.XXX.YYY.ZZZ:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo from the browser on the Linux host I get back a good status as shown below:
    serverType="SAP HTTP Content Server";serverVendorId="SAP AG";serverVersion="640";serverPatch="0";serverBuild="16";pVersion="0046";serverStatus="running";serverDate="2008-03-25";serverTime="22:39:45";startUpDate="2008-03-25";startUpTime="22:32:21";lastAccessDate="2008-03-25";lastAccessTime="22:38:33";
However when I do this from any my PC it won't connect. (Of course the real problem is I can't connect from R/3.)
If I try the same URL from a different user session on the same Content Server Linux host I get the same good status.
I thought maybe the httpd.conf file was wrong so I tried:
    Listen 0.0.0.0:1090
In cs.conf I tried commenting out AdminSecurity & AdminSecurityGroup.
I also changed StorageDriver from SAPDBStorage to FSStorage.
I don't know if this is related or just another problem to tackle once I can get through this one. I was not able to add the new system to the Database Manager. I get the error "-4 could not connect to socket [10060]".
Thanks to all for any help. Points will dutifully be rewarded.

    Hi Henk,
It looks like I am dumber than a rock. The firewall was indeed active on the Linux host. I turned it off and can now do the http connection test to the Content Server. (I awarded very helpful points.)
I still can't connect to the database with the Database Manager however the message has changed; it now says "-4 XSERVER might be inactive". I just turned off the firewall so I have a few things to try, like figure out how to start MaxDB without the DB Manager. I'll post my progress. Thanks Henk.

Now I have installed the Database Studion on my PC. No I'm getting this message when I try to connect to the host/database on the Linux system: "Cannot connect to host 10.XXX.XXX.XXX:7210 [Connection refused: connect], -813."
Does MaxDB need to be started to connect? Any idea how to start it manually? Thanks,
    David

Ah, at long last. There's this tiny yet very important little program called x_server that SAP didn't include in the SAP Content Server install guide. This needs to be running in order for anything to connect. I'm sure most of you know about it but for the rest you can find it in:
    /sapdb/programs/bin
    Then type
    ./x_server start
I'm not sure what user it should run under but I started it as the sdb user.
You could automate the database startup with a script. See http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_7/e9/005dac1592496783e26133eb7fad0b/frameset.htm
Thank you Henk, I'll call this problem solved and award points.

  • Content Aware Fill doesn't work on large images

When stitching together a large panorama, the content aware tool doesn't work if the image is >30,000 pixels.  When you use the tool on large images (after I have flattened the layers and using the magic wand to select a white area at the top), it runs through the process as if it is going to fill and then after the "fill" window completes, the selected area remains white.
I noticed on some other forum posts that jpg saving couldn't occur on >30,000 pixel width images, so I changed the image size to 29,999 (from ~39,000) and the content fill tool worked.
Any ideas from the community if Adobe has a fix for this bug?

I found that I could get around this problem by doing sections instead of a complete linear fill (when you do panoramas, you tend to have a long white area on the top and bottom of the image - this is what I have been working with).
The downside with working in sections is you get some pattern matching issues so you have to go and do spot work until it looks the way you want.
Another interesting artifact from doing long linear sections is you have an edge (a line) between the fill and the original image.  To remove this, I zoom very close and use the lasso tool to select only that line.  Using the content fill tool to fix this is a very easy, clean solution.

    Hi
This as per the HTTP/1.1 RFC (RFC2616)
The Connection general-header field allows the sender to specify options that are desired for that particular connection and MUST NOT be communicated by proxies over further connections.
The Connection header has the following grammar:
    Connection = "Connection" ":" 1#(connection-token)
    connection-token = token
HTTP/1.1 proxies MUST parse the Connection header field before a message is forwarded and, for each connection-token in this field, remove any header field(s) from the message with the same name as the connection-token. Connection options are signaled by the presence of a connection-token in the Connection header field, not by any corresponding additional header field(s), since the additional header field may not be sent if there are no parameters associated with that connection option.

    Hi,
What’s Exchange Version? Sometimes, after Installing Exchange 2010 SP 1, Searching via OWA or Outlook Online Mode may Fail. If so, please try the following solution:
    Download the script
    Repair-ExchangeSearchSymlinks.ps1 from the Script Center.
Copy the Repair-ExchangeSearchSymlinks.ps1 script to the Scripts directory on the Mailbox server (default installation is C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\v14\Scripts).
On the afflicted Mailbox server, open the Exchange Management Shell by right-clicking the shortcut and selecting “Run as Administrator”.
Within the Exchange Management Shell, navigate to the Exchange Scripts directory.
Within the Exchange Management Shell, run the following script: .\Repair-ExchangeSearchSymlinks.ps1
Within the Exchange Management Shell, run the following script (without the symbols [] and substitute the database name(s) for any databases you wish to reset: .\ResetSearchIndex.ps1 [-force] <dbname> [<dbname>]...
You will receive an Event ID 109 when the rebuilding of the index starts for each database and an Event ID 110 for each database when the index rebuild has completed.
After receiving Event ID 110 for each database, test to make sure search functions correctly with both OWA and Outlook operating in Online Mode.

  • Company remote connection doesn't work

    Hi all,
I created an application using DI to connect to B1 database (no B1 AddOn, just an external application).
The application works fine on clients inside the customer domain.
But when I try to run it from a pc outside the domain, the Company.Connect() doesn't respond.
Company.GetCompanyList() works fine: I get the list of B1 databases on the SqlServer
but then there's no way to get a response from the Company.Connect()!
Not even an error or an exception! The application simply seems to get stuck.
It seems that the Server Tools / License Manager cannot solve the connection...
Does anybody know what the reason of this problem can be?!?
Are there limits on the connection from outside the domain?!?
Thanks a lot for your help!
    regards,
    francesca

    francesca,
there is no this kind of limitation,
Maybe some firewall ports are not opened...
    Tip:
    1,
Try connect to the same server with DTW (Data Transfer WorkBench) and try to log on.  If DTW is working -> Your addon has a problem.
    2.
Check your sql server installation Is the Authentication mode is  Mixed or windows?

  • Safari & OS X Server Wiki - Doesn't Work on iPad (64GB)

I was very disappointed to find that Safari on iPad wouldn't even display our OS X Server pages. I could log in and navigate the top page but it began to fail as I drilled down resulting in a grayed out screen with the spinnig gear.
I've heard that Apple's development groups work in silos and do not talk with each other or work to ensure interoperability between Apple systems. The OS X Server group seems to be especially isolated. The was true with iPhone and now seems to be with iPad.
If anyone finds a workaround please post it here.

Hummm... looks like it is some kind of question of speed because if I wait long enough it looks like the pages load after all. What I was considering "Doesn't work" is actually long load times... and I would say unexpectedly long load times. I'm doing a few more tests to verify this before I pull back the question or mark it answered.
Is anyone else experiencing very long load times for nested wiki pages?

after Installation of ISA R/3 basket data in the b2b Application doesn't display (empty page).
In the XCM Administartion of the application b2b I create a jdbc component "xyzjdbc". The Test jdbcping works fine but the test jdbc_javabasket doesn't work.
    Error:
    Error executing 'SELECT CREATE_MSECS, UPDATE_MSECS, REF_GUID, PARTNER_ID, PARTNER_ROLE, CLIENT, PARTNER_GUID FROM BUSINESSPARTNERS WHERE REF_GUID='1'' java.sql.SQLException: [WR3CRMT]Invalid object name 'BUSINESSPARTNERS'.
I have create the jdbc-pool in the Visual administrator like in sap note 630753 (with database URL: jdbc:inetdae7:wr3crmt:1433?sql7=true&database=WHT).
Database WHT was created during installation of the J2EE
(see chapter 5.2 Installing the CRM Web Application with SAP Inst of
documentation "Installation Guide CRM 4.0 SP06 -6.20 Web Application"). The database isales was created after chapter
6.5 Install Database Tables on MS SQL Server of documentation "Installation Guide CRM 4.0 SP06 - 6.20 Java Components
of E-Selling and Channel Management on a SAP J2EE Engine 6.20".

    Hi all!
With a custom procedure or a sql query, we don't have this problem. It looks like for me, this problem is specific to the Oracle 'DBMS_*' procedures...

  • After Refresh of Test System XI connection is not working

We are using SRM 4.0 in ECS and recently did a refresh to our Quality system.  After the refresh we went through the normal post refresh activities and assumed that everything was ok.  We started creating test shopping carts and PO for XML vendors and nothing is going out through XI.   I have ran tcode sxmb_moni to check to see if any error message are occuring but there are no messages in the system.
We have restarted the server but can't seem to get anything to go out through XML.
Can anyone provide any information or some things to check?

    Hi
First check the setting in 'Define backend systems' if the SLD system name is correctly entered for your EBP system. Then using txn SLDCHECK, you can check connectivity to XI.
You can also check txn SXMB_ADM to see if the integration server connection is correctly defined.

as below but still same issue.
    NAME = USEHTTPPLG

In dev_icm belwo error is showing.
