IA05 - task list , in header data you need to selct the inspection points 300. and assign the Strategy (IP11) alonfg witth assing MIC(QS21) to the operations.
IP42
IP10
IW38 or Iw32 if you know the order number. then relase the order you get the inspection lot no,
then goto QA32 to do results recording and usage dessicion.

Error during usage decision for Test Equipment

Hi,
I have completed results recording for Test Equipment using QE51N (results closed and confirmation completed). When I tried to make usage decision (QA11) for the lot the pop-up message shows as "Not all equipment is valuated! Do you want to force inspection completion. I also noticed that in equipment tab of qa11 code valuation column shows as Not Valuated.
I request you to help me to solve this problem.

HI,
You may try changing the valuation mode in IA06. In the inspection characteristic overivew, click on details -> operation, scroll down, you will find Quality management inspection points -> maintain automatic valuation based on inspection points.
The changes if made will be effective only for the next inspeciton lots.

Automation test equipment

I have developed a test equipment to test a unit which manages three power supplies and a dc electric load. These power supplies and load are controlled pragmatically by LabVIEW through R232 interface. There are five voltage and current sensors, and sixteen power relays inside the unit. Each sensors and relays operation has to be checked for the proper functioning in the system for the given command from the system(PXI) .PXI system consist of serial add -on cards and NI PXI-6229 for discrete I/Os connected to the test unit with a interface unit.inputs to UUT are serial/discrete inputs(from relay drivers). This bench level test is achieved through LabVIEW programs with simple VI’s and sub VI’s and built in drivers.
Now the requirement of the consumer goes to the next level. The above mentioned test has to be automated fully. By clicking one button the whole test has to be performed automatically in a prescribed sequence test and verify each parameter in the test case and display the result and has to written into a document report.

to start the automation of above mentioned application I searched for the tutorial and found NI teststand is suitable for this. I'm still confused about which NI application software to use and how to start them. So please help me in this and guide me how to start an basic automation.

TestStand is meant for these sort of automation requirements only.
TestStand can reuse the VI's you have already developed to call the tests and automate it.
You can install TestStand ( trail version) to try it out.
There are examples for TestStand - Labview interface examples.

Trying to run Accutest 1000 manufactured by Physical Testing Equipment with Labview

We have an Accutest 1000 which is manufactured by Physical Testing Equipment and we would like to run the equipment and gather data thru Labview.
Does Labview support this type of activity? Is there a 3rd party that would contract to set-up this configuration?

National Instruments doesn't officially support interacting with this board. Do you have more information about it? Can it communicate via serial? If so, you could try to use NI-VISA to communicate with the board.

Test Equipment for calibration

Dear Experts,
Is it necessary to create Calibration Orders against Test Equipments only ?? or we can do the same against Machines also??
As in some cases there is preventive & calibration plan against same equipment then if we create Test equipment,, there is going to be doubling of equipment??

For the same Equipment U can distinguish one is M - Machine , and Q- Test Equipment categories.
So u can do preventive maintenance and caliberations plan also

Getting TF42008: The test case management package could not be loaded. Verify that Visual Studio Test Tool is installed and try again.

We are trying to run unit tests in TFS server.
Below is the System Configuration:
Visual studio version: VS 2013 Ultimate
TFS: TFS 2013
For this we have created a build and able to run the build successfully. And build page showing one link for Test result. When we click on this link, we got below error message.
"Getting TF42008: The test case management package could not be loaded. Verify that Visual Studio Test Tool is installed and try again."
And below is the screenshot of the error message. So please let us know is there and thing else we need to do to solve this issue?

Yes, if you want to open and view test result on your laptop, you need install the VS 2013 on your laptop as well.

What is the proces flow for calibration equipement management

Please can some explain the Process flow for the equipment management?
We want to schdule the order for the calibration equipement.

Please follow the following prcoess flow
IA05- Create General Task list(Enter inspection point :300,operation,inspection charactertics to the operation,usage)
IP01-Create plan( Use maintenace startegy of plant,enter equipment, select general task list for plan the equipment,enter call horizon,planning cycle schduling period)
IP42-Schedule the plan Schedule the plan for the quantity with frequency defined in the plan.Which schdule the according to the schdule date.Schedule date generates pm order for the plan on due date.
IW33-Display order.
QE51-Calibration result recording for equipment- Gives status for result i.e ok or not ok.
QA11-Lot usage decision
IW41-Confirmation for the order.
You can refer the sap librabary for detailed process.

Error while result recording for test equipment

Dear Gurus
My scenario is to do unplanned maintenance for test equipment and recording the result.
For that I have done the following steps
1)     Created Notification for the test equipment (customized notification type TE).
2)     For that notification I created order. (customized order type TE01).
3)     Attached General maintenance task list for that order. Task list has inspection point 300.
4)     Released the order and saved. Inspection Lot is created.
5)     In QE51N / QA32 when I tried to do results recording, it shows the following error.
"Equipment VERN01 do not exist in the object list for order 4001214"
Please help me to correct this error.

I applied oss and today I got reply. When 1278254 notes is implemented it is solved.
I have one more question, now in QE51N, I did result recording and when saved it is asking for order confirmation, I have given all data and came back to the same screen. There is one more option for Valuate Inspection Point. In that I have selected Can be used option and saved. Now if I goto maintenance order and TECO the order, it is saying that A usage decision has stll to be made.
Whether I want to take UD once again in QA32 ?
Also is there any settings to TECO the notification automatically when the maintenance order is TECO'ed. Now the notification is not TECO'ed when order is TECO'ed.

Message if Expiry date of Master Test Equipment is in the Past

Hi All,
We need system give a mesage when expiry date of master test equipment (which is assigned as a PRT in the equipment task list) is in the Past at the time of result recording of an Equipment.
Problem Details:-
Master test equipment is defined in equipment category "P".
Expiry date of master test equipment is maintained in the field
of "start up date" in General Tab
2.Equipments is defined in equipment category "Q"
3.A task list is created in which master test equiment is assigned as a PRT
4.Maintenance plan is created in which equipments is assigned & task List is selected
5.Inspection lot is generated when maintenance plan is schedule & released.
At the time of Calibration result recording "We want the system to give a message when expiry date (entered in start up date filed on master equipment master view) of master test equipment is in the past"
The end date in equipment master data cannot be altered and
Hence we have used the "start up date" field for the equipment expiry date.
Pl assist me for solving this issue.

Start up date is the date at which the equipment is commisioned or the equipment starts working,it is not the expiry date
start up date is mainly used for calculating the MTTR/MTBF of the equipment

Test Data Management Server - Databases/Tables

Hello,
We are currently preparing to do a pilot with the Test Data Management Server and were point some initial documents together indicating technical changes it will bring to our landscape. We have attend the TZTDM3 course and have read the Master Guide but haven't located the detailed information regarding what databases/tables are created when TDMS is installed. If anyone could point me at this documentation or provided the info it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for response but I don't want move data warehouse databases. My idea is create another server and change the data warehouse managemet server role to this new server preserving the databases in the original server. Is possible do this?

Is it possible for the test equip. to tell me the measured data is ready?

When programming to read from a test equipment (e.g. ocsilloscope)
connected to PC/GPIB, many times I have to set a delay before reading
the value, otherwise the return value will be some invalid numbers
(e.g., 0). To achieve valid test results and testing time reduction, I
used trial-and-error to get a "minimum" delay time. But even this
delay time which works for one equipment may not work for another.
It's such a headache!!!
Is it possible to poll/inquire the status of the test equipment in the
program if the measured data is ready? If yes, how?
