Test Extractor in SXMS_LMS_CONF

Hi
I'm trying to use the payload text search capabilities of PI (7.11). Our Basis guys have set it up and i have followed these instructions to setup up filters and extractors -

When i click 'Test Extractor' and put in the message ID i get the following error -
Incorrect Hexidecimal Digit
Does anyone know where i'm going wrong?

When i go to "Select Additional Search Criteria" in the NWA page, i get a drop-down menu with three options:
Message Header Data
Technical Attributes
Identifier
But i do no see an option for user defined attributes.
Please give some guidance as to where to find the User defined attributes.

I have checked in NWAPI by running the test , it shows "No messages available for selected filter criteria"
Any pointer to additional/missing config required will be of great help.

Hi All,
I doubt if i have mentioned the port number and client correctly in the Logical port configuration step in soamanager.
In the screenshot in the guide i can see.
Port number : 50000
ESR Target client : 800. (page 34)of guide mentioned above
and the Url access for nwapi shows http://<host>:50080/nwapi (page 21)
for my system
http://<host>:50700/nwapi ,
PI client is 001.
System ID is 07
I am confused what to mention for ESR clinet and Port.

User-Defined Message Search - PI 7.1 - EHP1 - SP06 - Not working

Hi Friends,
Recently, we have imported SP06 in our PI system (PI 7.1 EHP1). The SXMB_MONI has now new tab "User-Defined Selection Criteria".
To implement user-defined search, I have created filer, extractor, namespace prefix for one outbound interface through transaction SXMS_LMS_CONF. (As it is explained in SAP EHP1 features PDF and the link "http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/c85598f63335bfe10000000a42189d/frameset.htm".
Also we have created logical port through transaction SOAMANAGER. (followed the steps as mentioned in PDF)
After filters, extractor, namespace prefix created and activated, I have checked the extractor through Test Extractor, it is working fine. (All are green, given below is the output)

Now, when I do search the same through SXMB_MONI, by giving inputs in the new tab "User-Defined Selection Criteria", Option button "Search for all" , selected the filter name "MATERIAL_ID" in the input field:Name and put material name in the in the input field:value. (same material I put), it shows the message "No message is available for selection".
Friends, could you kindly clarify why I am unable to search through SXMB_MONI? Am I missed any of the steps?

Were you able to resolve the issue ?
If not, You need to execute program SXMS_EXTRACT_MESSAGES to build index for the user defined search from the old messages.
The job bulids index from the already processed messages.
Choose the relevant Method when creating the extractor
Method
You can choose between two methods:
Extract During Message Processing
Select this method if you want the attributes to be extracted from the selected messages while these messages are processed.
Extract with External Job
Select this method if you want to extract attributes from messages that were already processed, or if you want to change the extraction of attributes from messages, from which attributes were already extracted.
For this method you need to set up and use the job SXMS_EXTRACT_MESSAGES.

Data Selection in RSA3 does not filter

Hi all.
I have an issue that I'm hoping somebody may be able to help me with.
I have created a generic extractor using a function module in ECC 6.0. When I initially created it I was able to test extractor by using RSA3 and restricting the data. I have since had to make changes to the Extract structure and Datasource and now when I extract the data using a restriction, the extract ignores the restriction. I don't have an append on the structure and no fields are hidden in the data source.

Hi,
If you are using the range variables outside the cursor they must be declared as global. This could be one of the reasons.
If u can post ur code atleast the structure of the code and mention where you are using these range variables then i ll be able to help you.

2LIS_02_ITM not responding

Dear All,
We are currently working on 2LIS_02_ITM extractor. The delta on this cube was not in use for long time. as we wanted to start fresh with only new delta, we deleted all previous queues and initiazed Purchse ODS relevant to this extractor. The initialization was successful.
Then just to testin in quality server, we loaded the setup table, which successfully loaded 22000 records in the setup table. But now when we are testing the extractor in RSO2, it is not pulling the data. When we click on extracts, it gets busy for long time and becomes timeout after very long time.
We also tried pulling data in BIW from this extractor, but after long time, the request turned red, wihtout returning any data.
It seems there is some problem in R/3 itself, because my 'Test extractor' in r/3 itself did not work properly.
Can anybody help, what could the problem ?

Replicate the datasource 2LIS_02_ITM and reinit and load data
also check in BD87
Check the
Control record it will be having information like Idoc number, message type, idoc type, sender, receiver etc.
Status record it will be having different statuses like idoc created,idoc posted etc.
Control records it will be stored in EDIDC table.
Data records will it be stored in EDID4 table
Status records will it be stored in EDIDS table.
Check all the above and see if there are any errors

Issue in user defined payload search.

Hi Experts,
I tried to configure the payload search in SAP PI 7.1 EHP1 ; I followed the guides given in the links given below. After following every step, I am able to view till the last step but I am not able to get any output.
After I define filter, extractors and prefixes; the filter becomes active. Now if I try to search with the message id I am able to find the values which I required are extracted (as expected). But when I try the same in SXI_MONITOR there is no result. I end up in getting no message available for selection window. I tried every variation which was prescribed in this websites which helped me fine tune my filter but still the error is very much present.
Could you help me in solving this and throw light on why the test extractor is working but user-defined selection criteria is not working.
I am using this in lower environment only.

Extract during message processing will work for the messages that went through PI after this configuration has been done and it will not work for older messages.
Extract with External batch job will apply this filter for older messages as well. Bit for achieving this you have to run batch job for program “SXMS_EXTRACT_MESSAGES”.
We need to run the job for program “SXMS_EXTRACT_MESSAGES”. In SE38 we need to give this program name execute the program and give the date and time.
after we need to check the messages in SXMB_MONI.

The last step, where we need to enter URL for WSDL Access i am getting the following error:

You should enter the host name and the HTTP port for the Advanced Adapter Engine
i didnt get the meaning of above sentence : Is it different from what we use in the URL to access ESR and ID.
Is there any other steps to make MessageSearch/MessageSearchImplBean available

I have applied the sap note suggested ,thinking that the error is due
to any source code.
The data synchronization is happening properly , but when i use test extractor button it throws the above mentioned error.
In the system details in have given the port number as 50700(which is visible in the link when we open integration builder page) and ESR client as 001.
could you please let me know if the exact values to be filled in transport setting.i just entered the port and client , other things
as default.

Load MD attr into cube

Hi,
1) I have one master data 0PROJ into cube but never loaded. its attr of 0wbselement and loaded in MD.
I tried to add in update rule following code
data:    begin of i_wbs occurs 0,
                                0PROJ like /bi0/mwbs_elemt-PS_PRJTYPE,
         end of i_wbs.
should it load 0PROJ directly when i load cube ? but how coz i dont get any data into that field.

you ask for more detail - here it is,
I have 0REC_NETWORK inthe cube. which comes from 0CA_TS_IS_1 extract structure. that table has the field POSID. its mapped properly in transfer rules also.
But not populated in cube neither its gets populated in RSA3 when i test extractor.
that means 0rec_network doesnt get records from even R/3 !!
I have 0PS_PRJTYPE -as a attribute of 0rec_network. since network doesnt have any data i m not able to get any data into 0ps_prjtype.
does it require changes into extractor ?
0ps_prjtype is been there as attr. into 0wbselement. But 0wbselement is not there into infocube. Can i get 0ps_prjtype populated from wbs element by changing into update rules ?
suggest any good way for that please.

Delta load - LIS extractor to several target - test load to single target

Hi
I want have a daily delta load from a LIS extractor to 3 targets (ODS's). I would like to make a test delta load to one of the 3 targets (because it has been reconstructed).
Will it cause any problems if I make a delta load from the LIS extractor to one of the targets and not all of the targets? Will the records that I loaded in my test load arrive in the two other targets when the daily delta runs later on?

Hi Torben,
you can do this if you first load the data to PSA, because when you load the data with delta infopack the delta queue will be reset in source system. But the data will remain in PSA, so you can upload again (to same infoprovider or different one if update rules exists) from PSA.

Patch releases in R/3 and how to test and know d extractors???????????????

Some patches are going to happen in R3 development system .This effects the BW plug-ins meaning some data extractors will need testing.
Here I want to know how to Identify which extractors are effected based on the patch release notes .
Can anybody please give detailed information regarding this.
Could anyone provide me the patch release notes numbers.

RSA3 Extractor Testing problem importing request selection values

Hi, I am trying to use RSA3 to test an extract and I am trying to pull in the values from an existing request on the BW side. When I specify the request ID it only pulls in 7 values.
The request I am pulling from has 9 values for "Document Type - BLART" and 18 values from "Account - RACCT". When I specify the request ID I am only getting 7 values for BLART and none of the others.
Any ideas why RSA3 wouldn't pull in all of the values?

If the Datasource is LO then it will fetch the data Setup tables, so see it properly. See teh below articles about RSA3

CRM extractor Testing Scenarios.

Hi Gurus,
I need to extract the Activities from CRM to BW. This data must be extracted with the standard extractor
0CRM_SALES_ACT_1
0crm_srv_process_h
0CRM_ERMS_ITEMS. When I test this extractor in RSA3 (in CRM), I obtain records that is less than "Activity Monitor" (CRM SIDE) . I checked in tables in CRM end and those tables have more than RSA3 extractor data.
**How can help me out in giving the testing scenarios for the above extractor to be testing compelted E2E and kindly provide me with steps how to check if CRM data fully extracted into BW? or not ?**
