Test Livecache

Hi people,
I´m setup up the SCM/APO with livecaché. I´ve connected the LCA database with the scm system. But when I go to the LCA03 tcode for do the test I get four red messages.
/sapapo/om_reorg_daily
/sapapo/om_delete_old_simsess
/sapapo/om_lcaalerts
For this last, I follow the step of made the jobs. I do it, but when refresh the tcode LCA03 it´s is same. The other two jobs are equal.
And the last error is Lc sessions account, which indicates the MAXUSERTASKS. Where can i do to set up this parameter?

Hi,
The third point is correct.
The erros are that /sapapo/om_reorg_daily, /sapapo/om_delete_old_simsess, /sapapo/om_lcaalerts are with red check. I follow the steps for to do them and when i back to the realized the test I get the same errors.
I read in one thread that there are to execute /sapapo/opt_inst, for to see the RFC connections. I get the diferent connections on red. It´s possible that this affected the before step???

Another question. In the sm36 I select the standart jobs and push standar prevision, then when I back to the tcode LCA03 don´t show me the screen with the diferentes options with the checks greens or reds. Only show me one message that says "liveCache-test onLCA finished without errors". It´s normal?? Not should be show me the screen with the diferents checks????
More thanks

  • Logical Test (/SAPAPO/OM03) fails with liveCache-test on LCA incorrect mess

    Hi All,
On SCM 5.0 instance, when running logical test transaction (/n/SAPAPO/OM03), I get the following message at the end of the test:
    liveCache-test on LCA incorrect.
There is no shortdump or any database errors I can see. Please advice.
    Many Thanks,
    Regards,
    Nisch

    Hello Nisch,
You are running SCM 5.0 system, therefore you are SAP customer. Please create the SAP ticket concerning this issue => we could logon via OSS and check the status of your system.
-> If you are running the SCM 5.0 installation, you have to follow the liveCache installation guide and finish all post installation steps, run //om13 -> checks , click on the info box of the red semaphores u2026
Review the system logs in /nsm21.
Then you could run /SAPAPO/OM03, it is the test Program for liveCache and LCA, in the liveCache relevant client.
If it's failed & you don't know the reason of the failure => create the SAP ticket to the component 'BC-DB-LCA'.
Thank you & best regards, Natalia Khlopina

  • Live cache backup question

    Hello Experts,
Iam new to Livecache and AP0  and was trying to understand the process of backups reason i need to perform complete SCM 7.0 systemcoopy . In past i have done system copies and well aware of the procedures .
Here it goes Presently we are on SCM 7.0
Question  :--> I see our Livecache is installed on one machine and AP0 on another machine. Iam not aware how Livecache
                           was integrated with AP0.
Iam trying to understand how to take backup of livecache and then restore the same in Target.
    In LC10
LCA --> ProblemAnalysis --> Logs --> DBA History
i can see that the live cache backups are in getting successfully everyday.
I see that Backup Label as DAT_000000<xxx> and Backup Template as bac214<xxx>.
Where can i see this Backup Template defined ( the path ) .
Can someone provide an insight regarding the live cache backups.
    Checked SAP Note 457425 .
--> After system copy how would i integrate Livecache and AP0 .
    Thanks in Advance.

  • While running the livecache server test a native sql error occures

We are using scm4.1 livecache 7.5.0 And every time we are running the livecache test program he is dumping
    whith the following dump
    patch level scm & scm_basis is 8
    Runtime Errors         DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR
    Except.                CX_SY_NATIVE_SQL_ERROR
    Date and Time          31.10.2005 16:50:55
    ShrtText
An SQL error occurred when executing Native SQL.
    What happened?
Error 600 occurred in the current database connection "LCA".
    What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
    error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
    date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.
    How to correct the error
Database error text........: "Work rolled back: DbpError -28814 in
    APS_ORDER_CH"
    Database error code .......: 600
    Triggering SQL statement...: " ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
    ? ? ? ? ? ? ? or'"
    Internal call code.........: "[DBDS/NEW DSQL]"
Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
    use the following search criteria:
    "DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR" CX_SY_NATIVE_SQL_ERRORC
    "/SAPAPO/SAPLOM_PLANNING" or "/SAPAPO/LOM_PLANNINGU08"
    "/SAPAPO/OM_ORDER_CHANGE"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
    1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
    Save->Local File (unconverted)".
    2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
    "System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
    3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
    supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
    Upload/Download->Download".
    4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within the procedure
    "/SAPAPO/OM_ORDER_CHANGE"
"(FUNCTION)", or declared in the procedure's RAISING clause.

    Hi,
the error DbpError -28814 denotes that an object cannot be found.
Can you maybe tell me your exact liveCache version (incl. Build level) and LCA Build?
Additionally, please copy the relevant error information from the file (/sapdb/data/wrk/<SID>/)knldiag.err into this thread.
Which exact 'liveCache test program' are your referring to (which of the /SAPAPO/... transactions)?
    Kind regards,
    Roland

  • Error while accessing Livecache from LC10

We had a problem on our APO system that dialog work processes are hanging on the central instance showing semaphores 26 (enqueue table) and 43 (rspo cache).
The dwstat logfile indicates that the enqueue process is running (with the longest processing time of all processes), while the spool process is stuck with semaphere 26 on "global actions".
The problem is mostly likely caused by a bug in SAP and two recent SAP notes were found that describe the situation: note 1293472 and note 661487.
The first one states to update the kernel and set rspo/event_update_nocsec = 1, the second one to add an entry to the table TSPOPTIONS.
now we are upgrading the SAP Kernel to Patch Level 221 that was released on Aug 28.
    kernel release                700 - 64 BIT - Non-Unicode
But after upgrading the kernel to the patch 221 we are not able to access livecache through LC10, LC10 hangs for a while and then fails with a RFC error
    Name and Server : LS5 u2013 plsapas500
    DBMRFC Function : DBM_CONNECT
    Error: Communication Error
Error Message: Error when opening a RFC connection
further we found that the RFC connection SAPDB_DBM_DAEMO is not registered for program dbmrfc@sapdb.
tried to register it but no success....
this problem was not faced with old Kernel havin patch 185
    kindly suggest
    thanks & regards,
    Deepak

    hello,
Can you check the connection test in db59 and check the detailed log.

  • No username of Source system is avbl after livecache system copy

    Hi Experts
I have done a livecache system copy from the source system to target system. Here the steps are
Assume my Source SYstem Livecache is RP1 and Target System livecache is RS1.
    1. Taken Source system livecache DATA and LOG Area backup RP1.
    2. Defined the same source system backup medium name in Target System (RS1 and moving the Source system Liveacache backuped files to Target system and defined the medium name as per that)
    3. put the livecache db_admin mode
    4. db_activate RECOVER <medium_name>.
    5. recover_start <log_medium_name> LOG <nnn>
    6. db_online.
    Here we faced that
    ERR
-24622,ERR_AUTOLOADSYSTAB: Automatic loading of the System Tables failed
    -24907,ERR_DBAWRONG: Wrong database system administrator
    -24988,ERR_SQL: SQL error
    -4008,Unknown user name/password combination
So we activated the SUPERDBA as " db_activate SUPERDBA,<password>
then it came to online. and afterwards we have used the load_systab command to load the tables.
BUT we could not find any Source System name like "RP1ADM" in the tables of the livecache database. Only there are CONTROL,SUPERDBA username availbale. Usually there will be also the source admin name . I dont know why it is missing
Before a month we have done livecahe restore same as now in that time we got the source system name admin also. ( RP1ADM) and also tables which owned by RP1ADM. alos i could find APPSYSPARAM table and the instance also registered.
But now in this restore we could not find the above.
We followed the same procedure and there is no change in the steps also.
    Could anyone help me...
    Regards
    bala

    Hello Bala,
    1. As I wrote you already, the notes:
886103 System Landscape Copy for SAP SCM
877203     Post steps after the Homogenous liveCache copy using backup/
457425     Homogenous liveCache copy using backup/restore
has all recommended steps to do, when you will run the u201CSystem Landscape Copy for SAP SCMu201D
    2. If you run the u201CHomogenous liveCache copy using backup/restoreu201D you should pay attention to the note 457425. After you imported the complete data backup < step 2. > you need to update the system tables.
To update the system tables you need to know the correct database SYSDBA user & password.
After you restored the databackup of the source database, start the database online & run u201Cselect * from usersu201D SQL command to see the SYSDBA user. Then check that you know the DBA user ( DataBase Administrator ) & password of the source database instance => Open the SQL session with this
    user & password.
    Example:
    after db_activate recover <medium_name>
    login as control,password
    db_online
    sql_execute select * from users
    sql_connect  superdba,<password of source system>
If you didnu2019t get error with the last command, then you could update the system tables with the superdba,<password of source system> using load_systab command.
The system tables will be updated & the correct SYSDBA user & password will be updated in *.UPC file.
    3.
    user_sysdba:
You make the database system administrator known to Database Manager. It is only necessary to use this DBM command if the database administrator is not known or is incorrectly known to Database Manager.
    u201CI have tried like this
    after db_activate recover <medium_name>
    login as control,password
    db_admin
    user_sysdba superdba,<password of source system>
    db_onlineu201D
You could update the .upc files with the wrong SYSDBA user password u2026
You was lucky, that you knew the correct SYSDBA user and password of the source database.
Example  < NLK is my local database >:
    A.     I could update the .upc file with wrong password of SYSDBA user:
    dbmcli -d NLK -u control,control
    dbmcli on NLK>user_sysdba superdba,test
    OK
    dbmcli on NLK>db_online
    OK
    dbmcli on NLK>load_systab
    ERR
    -24909,ERR_DBAUNKNOWN: SYSDBA unknown
    dbmcli on NLK>exit
    B.  I could update the .upc file with wrong SYSDBA user:
    dbmcli -d NLK -u control,control
    dbmcli on NLK>user_sysdba test,test
    OK
    dbmcli on NLK> user_get test
    OK
    u2026
    dbmcli on NLK>sql_connect test,test
    ERR
    -24988,ERR_SQL: SQL error
    -4008,Unknown user name/password combination
    dbmcli on NLK> dbmcli on NLK>sql_connect superdba,admin
    OK
I could connect as test, test; but the test user is NOT SYSDBA user u2026
    dbmcli -d NLK -u test,test
    dbmcli on NLK>
Itu2019s recommended to user the load_systab command, so the .upc files will be updated with the correct SYSDBA user/password or
    you will get error.
    4. http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_7/86/68627a1bc642e6a6f73d3bc7a55fe1/content.htm
    You got error:
    ERR
-24622,ERR_AUTOLOADSYSTAB: Automatic loading of the System Tables failed
    -24907,ERR_DBAWRONG: Wrong database system administrator
    -24988,ERR_SQL: SQL error
    -4008,Unknown user name/password combination
The automatically updating the system tables, according to the default value, is switched on.
After you will run the update system tables with the correct SYSDBA user & password the *.UPC file will be updated,
and with the next liveCache restart you will not get this error.
    5. See more information in the MAXDB library:
    http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_7/45/11cbd6459d7201e10000000a155369/content.htm

  • Problem in starting SAP liveCache server

    Hi,
I am getting the following error message when i tried to start SAP liveCache server with LC10.
"Restart of liveCache LC3 on saplc3cache terminated; reason: User LC3RFC has lock"
    Message no. LVC072
Does anyone has idea! abt the error? why it comes and how it can be solved?
    Thanks,
    Venkat

    Hi Christiane,
The startup procedure is not even reaching the lcinit script. There are absolutly no logs in knldiag and lcinit.log files. After little bit debugging I found the problem. But don't know how to solve it.
The problem occured when I was doing disrptive testing for the liveCache server.
When I kill ("KILL  -9 PID") the liveCache server processes (<b>master first and then child</b>) there are some IPC resources hanging over there. These IPC resources (shared memory segments) holds some locks and are preventing the liveCache server to startup.
The problem is not happening when I kill child first and then master process (all the IPCs are getting removed in this case).
I am wondering whether SAP has any tool to remove these IPC resources for liveCache server uniquely for perticular liveCache server (something similar to cleanipc for SAP systems).
I can't write a script to remove all the IPC resources based on the user name ('sdb') which same for liveCache server and MaxDB. (Imagine a case where MaxDB(APO DB) and liveCache server are running together). Any other solutions?
    Any answers/suggestions are most welcome.
    Thanks,
    Venkat

  • Cannot open SQL connection to liveCache LCA

SAP liveCache instance update exited abnormally at Tu, Feb 05, 2008 at 17:15:27

    Hi Rolland,
As you told is right, there was a problem in the password,
we changed that password and we have tested the DB connection in db59, this was ok. and we ran the command user_sap SAPLCA,<password>
    this was ok.
After the registration has been succefully from LC10 ..
    Thanks for your inputs,

  • Does the Livecache SID always have to be LCA ?

We have installed APO Livecache with SID other than LCA and I'm being told that it has to be LCA always ?
    Is this true ?
If it is, why is the install tool gives the option to pick a SID ?
Or is there a config setting in SAP to change this default setting ?
    Thank you

    Hello Ravi,
Please check the SAP Note No. 829963.
Please review the documents at service.sap.com/scm ->mySAP SCM Technology:
"mySAP SCM Technology" & "liveCache overview " .
In case of a new installation of the liveCache/LCA, you have to create the connections LCA/LDA/LEA
as described in the  installation documentation for the SAP liveCache technology - using
Transaction LC10. For example, review the document at
    service.sap.com/instguides -> mySAP Business Suite Applications->
mySAP SCM -> Using SAP SCM 5.0 Server->
"Installation - SAP liveCache Technology …" in the section
"Common Post-Installation Activities" - "Setting Up the Connection to the liveCache Instance".
Please review the information at service.sap.com/liveCache ->Release Information ->
       SAP LC/LCAPPS 5.0
You could  run /n/sapapo/om13 -> checks & see the status for LCA & LDA  & LEA
connections. If the connection is marked by the red  semaphore => check errors in /nsm21.
You could run the test connection for LCA & LDA & LEA in db59 transaction and review the results.
Please open the OSS ticket to the component 'BC-DB-LVC' or 'BC-DB-LCA' if you have further
    questions on this issue.
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina

  • Initialize the liveCache

    Good Morning
I’m Michele. I have a problem with livecache.
I have installed SAP SCM 4.0 server.
I have installed SAPliveCacheServer for SAP SCM Server 4.0.
I have problem with initialization livecache istance.
I have executed the following instructions:
Setting up Connection to the liveCache Instance
Before checking the connection, you must initialize the liveCache instance using transaction
    LC10.
    1. Start the SAP SCM instances:
    2. Log on to the SAP SCM System as user DDIC (production client).
    3. Apply SAP Note 305634 RFC destination for global working on the liveCache
    4. To maintain the liveCache connection in table DBCON, call transaction LC10.
    The liveCache: Initial Screen appears.
    5. In the Name of database connection field, enter LCA and then choose Integration.
    6. Name the physical liveCache <LC_NAME>, the liveCache server <LC_HOST>, user data
and the corresponding passwords and make sure that Central Authentication is enabled.
    8. Enter the administration report /SAPAPO/DELETE_LC_ANCHORS in field Follow-up
    Procedures of section Initialize liveCache.
    9. Save your entries.
    10. To initialize the liveCache instance LCA:
    a. Choose Back (F3). The liveCache: Initial Screen re-appears.
    b. Enter LCA in the Name of database connection field.
    c. Choose liveCache: Monitoring.
When I execute monitoring appear following message:
Name and Server  LCA – bw
    DBMRFC Function: DBM_EXECUTE
    Command: dbm_version
    Error: DBM: Error
    Return Code:  -2
Error message: ERR_USRFAIL: user authorization failed
Please inform me how can I solve this problem
    Thank you for your collaboration.
    Best regards
    Michele medaglia

    Hello Michele,
we handle liveCache issues really only over OSS/CSS messages, so I will have to ask you to open such a message (for queue BC-DB-LVC).
From your problem description, you seem to have a problem with the user authorization. You could try to connect the following:
    1. dbmcli -d <SID> -u <dbm-user>,<pwd> db_state
    (The dbm-user normally is 'control'.)
    2. Test the LCA connection in transaction DB59.
Please put any output of the above in the OSS message.
    Kind regards,
    Roland

  • Recovery in MaxDB-LiveCache Error

    Hi experts,
Thank you very much in advance.
I'm making some restores (restore a complete database backup) and recoveries (restore a complete data backup and apply logs backups)  tests make in a SCM 4.10 with LiveCache KERNEL    7.5.0    BUILD 042-123-145-415 MaxDB DBMServer 7.5.0    Build 042-123-145-415 and DBMGui 7.5.00.12.
I'm going to describe step by step the tests that I did and the result
    Marks steps
1.- In SCM I did marks SAP Menu/Demand Planning/Planning/Interactive Demand PlanningInteractive Demand Planning
    2.- MARK1
3.- Execute a complete data backup
    4.- MARK2
    5.- Execute a log backup
The result of the next steps is that i can NOT see MARK2, I can NOT do a Recovery
    I have 4 mediums defines:
    - Two for Complete Data Backup, Device Type File and Overwrite Option checked.
    - One for Log backup, Device Type File and Autolog Option checked
    - One for Incremental Data, Device Type File.
    Recovery Steps
    1.- Complete data backup recovery
        With Inizialization
I recovery from a specified backup from history, with check botton on complete data backup that I execute after mak 1 --> Recovery is OK I can see MARK1
    2.-
          a.- Without Inizialization
Recovery from a Complete data backup and apply transaction log backup
The only option that I have is to recovery from a medium i only can select one. --> I can NOT Recover
         b.- With Inizialization
1.- Restore Last Backup (and mark Medium with Log Backup) -> I can't Recover
2.- Restore Last Backup (and mark Medium with Complete data backup) --> Recovery OK but see MARK1
3.- Restore a Specified backup from history --> I can NOT select a Log backup medium --> I can NOT recover
4.- Restore a medium --> I can only choose Complete data  backup medium --> I can NOT recover

  • Cannot Initialize LiveCache

    Hi All,
I am going through the Post Steps of my LiveCache install manual. When I run transaction LC10 -> Enter DB Connection ->LiveCache Monitoring ->

    gives me an error:

A test in DB59 is successful.
    LCA03 Gives me a DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR / CX_SY_NATIVE_SQL_ERROR
    Has anyone experienced this?
    Thanks,
    Diana

    Hi Diana,
the error basically says that the server does not recognize the given DB Administrator (SYSDBA).
I'd first check the credentials supplied in LC10. There you maintain user SAP<sid> for SQL access and a DBM user. Check the DBM user's password (e.g. by logging on through DBMGui). Also check that this user has sufficient rights to perform the initialization.
    Best regards,
    Dorothea
PS. The server version is shown in DBMGui, once you connected to the server. You can also display it by executing the following command from any host that has the MaxDB client software installed:
    dbmcli -d <lc_name> -u <dbm_user>,<pwd> -n <lc_host> dbm_version
On i5/OS you'd have to execute the command from the PASE shell (CALL QP2TERM).

  • Livecache lock server not accessible after system refresh

    Hello,
I have performed a refresh of SCM + livecache from production to QA when starting the livacache from LC10 i get a message Livecache lock server not accessible. The livecache is started but when i look at the status there is a warning SQL access not possible.
I did an export of the config table and reimport and the server named are correctly defined for:

SLCA_LCK_SYNCHOWNERS (Livecache lock server not accessible)
SLCA_NON_LC_RELEVANT_CLIENT (Could not create a connection to livecache)

    Hi Folks,
I just did a system restore from our PRod to Test in our SCM system.
Followed the steps in notes 457425 and 877203 to complete the livecache restore, load_systabs, which was successfull, changed the standard livecache user/password for the target system, maintained integration data and tried to bring up the livecache in lc10, but it gives the familiar error
