Test livecycle es4

I should decide which software we will use to develop web form. I have did a web service wsdl with visual studio 2008. I have already test 2 products using this web service. I should test i the using of this web service with livecycle es4.
To do that, I have downloaded livecycle es4 and install it on my local machine. I have created a new form and did a new connection to data with wsdl file, but when i test it the web service http://localhost:4038/DQSP/Archives/GetFicheUsager.asmx?wsdl I have no result information. Should i install workbrench ? I dont have do any installation server, should i install software on server before test it ?
I have search information on your web site but I have no idea what i should do to resolve this.

LiveCycle ES4 Database Initialization

Hello,,, I am in the process of installing LiveCycle ES4 on an Oracle Linux box with version 6.4. I am using Weblogic version 11g (10.3.6).. All the weblogic domains and machines are setup and running fine when I start them manually or through installation..
The problem I am having is, after delploying code to the weblogic server, the next option is the ES4 database initialization. I enter the name of the machine and the listening port 8001 which is the listening port of the weblogic machine. As soo as I hit initialize, nothing happens..

where xxxx is the name of the machine. I have started the installation from scratch, recreated the schema on the the database. In the DB connection test, db connects fine. Any ideas would really appreciate it. Thank you ...

What I found out that weblogic was accidentally installed on top of it again.. So I redid the whole installation from scratch.. According to google search, supposedly DN can be initialized more than once?

Scribble Signatures on LiveCycle ES4

I just got Adobe LiveCycle ES4 last week and I'm happy to see that non-tablet users can successfully use ink signatures when a PDF form is secured, however, I am testing it before I publish two applications and the signature image just won't stay! How do I make the scribble signature image stay on the form so applicants can just email the form directly from Adobe Acrobat/Reader or email the PDF via an email's attachment after the completed form is saved on their computer? Please help as soon as possible and thank you in advance.
PS: Is there a way to make the scribble signature field required with the red box showing up around it? If the signatures won't stay on the non-tablet version of Adobe Reader/Acrobat, will they stay on the tablet versions when applicants send them via email?
PSS: I am not advanced at Javascript and such so please, explain it like you would to a child.

Adobe LiveCycle ES4 - NullPointerException in UpdateLicenseAction

Operating System: Windows 2008 R2
Database: Oracle 11g
App Server: JBoss EAP 5.2 (delivered with LiveCycle)
I've installed LiveCycle ES4 (the intial release and Service Pack 1) - partial turnkey install. After install, LiveCycle appears to start fine, but when I go to the Admin UI (using http://localhost/adminui), I can log in, but I can't update the license (or do anything else). When I try to update the license, I get this error:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at java.util.Hashtable.put(...)
at com.adobe.licenseManager.action.UpdateLicenseAction.updateLicense(updateLicenseAction.jav a:162)
at com.adobe.licenseManager.action.UpdateLicenseAction.execute(UpdateLicenseAction.java:99).
Furthermore, anytime I try to navigate to another screen (such as user management or the Generate PDF Service) I am logged out.
Obviously, the error above is because UpdateLicenseAction is trying to read something that is not present. But I'm not sure where it's trying to read from.
When I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, I entered my license key and registered it. I was not prompted for any license key running the LiveCycle install. Should I be?
I tried reinstalling 3 times - each time running the uninstall then removing all database tables, views and sequences before reinstalling. Every time I've ended up with the same error.
I've installed LiveCycle on two other servers with no problems. This is the first "problem child" I've run across. Any assistance is appreciated.

yes with ES4 you should be able to do all of that. it depends on how you plan to distribute the forms to the audience.
via email, through a hosted link, or through the Adobe livecycle mobile app.
For such a simple use case, you would most likely not require the forms manager.
you will need mobile forms, which means essentially the capability to render HTML5 form.
this form should have a submit button, which could send you back just the data XML (containing the fields data).
Such a form, when submitted through mobile or desktop devices, should be able to submit XML data to your webservice, or LC process, which can then merge the data again with your form design and render to save the complete doc as a PDF.

Downgrade Livecycle ES4 to ES2

Select your picture and text within the flowed subform. Right click and select wrap in subform and make the subform a positioned subform. This will allow you to move the objects within that positioned subform the way you like them.

Adobe LiveCycle ES4 add new and update Access Database, Non-Null failure

I am using adobe livecycle es4 and I am trying to add a new record and then update it to an Access database. However, when i press update the error tells me that i cannot have Null values and it displays a check box field name. How can i allow a null value for a check box? Because when my form is used, not all of the check boxes will be checked

You can use the resolveNode function that can catch the null value of your check box component.
Exemple:
if (this.resolveNode("NameCheckBox").rawValue == null)
//Do Something

Is LiveCycle ES4 compatable with Office 2013?

My network was recently upgraded to Microsoft Office 2013 and I have a LiveCycle user that reports she can no longer import documents from Word. She is still able to create a document from scratch though. We have un-installed and re-installed both Office and LiveCycle on her machine. She is the only LiveCycle user I have, so I am unable to tell if it's an issue with her machine or with Office 2013. Are there any known compatablilty issue with LiveCycle ES4 and Word 2013?

oder wie komme ich über die "Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Support" (Hier dreht man sich nur im Kreis oder kommt zu diesem Forum) zu den Download-Links,
oder zu einer Möglichkeit die Quick Fixes letztendlich zu installieren?
Die Übersichtsseite "LiveCycle Help | LiveCycle ES4 SP1 Quick Fixes" und die entsprechenden "Quick Fix"-Seiten sind noch zu finden,
aber wo bitte kann ich diese "Quick Fixes" herunterladen?
Es ist ja schön dass es diese Übersicht über die bereits behobenen Fehler gibt,
aber wenn ich diese Patches (Quick Fixes) nicht herunterladen und dann installieren kann,
ist das ganze irgendwie sinnfrei.

Livecycle ES4 and Microsoft Exchange 2013

Hi,
My customer inquired me of configuring LiveCycle ES4 with Microsoft Exhange 2013 but supported documentation says that LiveCycle only supports Microsoft Exhange 2010 and earlier. ¿Could be posible LiveCycle ES4 SP1 either supports Microsoft Exhange 2013 or configure an account in Microsoft Exhange 2013 for configuring in Livecycle without getting on troubles?

MS Office 2013 is also not supported with ES4 SP1.

I have downloaded ESD for LiveCycle ES4 and it does NOT include a self-running Quickstart jar file, com.adobe.granite.microcore.jar, in the \CRX directory

LiveCycle ES4 - XFA forms, expandable tables and columnar layout

Hi,
We are using LiveCycle ES4 and XFA forms to bind XML to the PDF. I am having trouble with a particular layout however:
I have two tables.
The number of rows expand depending on the XML data.
I want to print the tables side-by-side in a newspaper like columnar format.
If I add them using a flowed sub form and make the sub form just high enough they display side by side, which is how I want it. It all works well as long as there is no page break. However, when the left table expands onto a new page the start of right table is moved to next page as well, leaving a big empty space on the right on the previous page.
If I change the contents of the sub form to positioned instead of flowed then the tables seem to behave correctly, but then the header row does not repeat after each page break, and the check boxes to enable "Include header row in subsequent pages" on the header row is disabled. This only becomes available if I make the sub form flowed instead of positioned.
I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. Why can't I enable "Include header row in subsequent pages" on positioned tables? Can someone suggest an alternative method perhaps? Note that there are other non-columnar sub forms as well so I cannot use columnar master page content areas, unless I understand master pages wrong.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Sara,
1) The first problem is because you did not set the Page content direction to "Flowed". Once the Page's Content property is set is flowed, your problem should be resolved.
2) You can always make a section visible or hidden by scripting. Use code :
               subform.presence = "visible";
                         or
               subform.presence = "hidden";

Livecycle ES4 could not access CQ welcome page

I have installed Livecycle ES4 on Linux following the install guide provided. I was at the step of verifying Post-deployment tasks. All the following web browser URL worked except URL below.
5.1.3.3 Accessing CQ Welcome Page - [http://[hostname]:[port]:/lc/welcome | http://[hostname]:[port]:/lc/welcome]
5.1.3.5 Change CQ Administrator default password - http://....../lc/libs/granite/security/content/admin.html
5.2.3 Access HTML Workspace - http://...../lc/ws
5.2.4 Access Forms Manager - http://..../lc/fm
I got the following message on error.log

Weblogic AdminServer and Managed Server are running Active. Livecycle deployment are running Active for "adobe-livecycle-native-weblogic-x86_linux","adobe-livecycle-weblogic" and "adobe-workspace-client". Livecycle installation on Linux Red Hat 5.9 with Oracle JRockit 1.6, Weblogic 10.3.6, Apache OpenOffice 3.4 and Oracle Database 11gR2. Any comment/input are welcome.
