Test-mrshealth failing at QueueScanCheck on an Exchange 2010 server

When I run test-mrshealth on one of my Exchange servers (mailbox, hub and cas role) it fails on the third check, queuescancheck everytime. The health check passes on the other 2 checks, servicecheck and RPCPingcheck.  Please see depiction:
After receiving myriads of alerts from SCOM regard, I feel that this must be resolved. Please help.

    Hi Bill
    Thank you for your pos.
You can use the following command to check whether you have purchased the certificate of audiscovery.westmoreload-country.org in your organization:
    Get-ExchangeCertificate –server CASServerName | fl
For example: you want to return all certificates stored on the Client Access server named ClientAccess01, you will type the follow command in EMS.
    Get-ExchangeCertificate -Server ClientAccess01 | fl
If you didn’t purchased the certificate of audiscovery.westmoreload-country.org, you could contact your certificate supplier.
You could refer to the following link:

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

  • Remove inaccessible/inactive exchange 2010 server

I had a second exchange 2010 server with a DAG setup between the primary production exchange 2010 server and the secondary one which was at our DR site. I did a DR test and ended up having to break the DAG and mount the DB manually for the DR test. AS a
result this second exchange server has been switched off and I have removed the DAG from the production side and all is ok with that. I am planning to move to a netapp exchange replication solution instead of dag for DR. As the DAG does not work well as a
    DR solution.
The only problem that remains is that I still have the old server listed under servers and there is a public folder database that is still listed from the second server. Is there a way to remove this inasscible server from exchange without doing it through
ASDIedit? There is no way that i can turn this second server on again.

Your first option is to uninstall normally as commented by Ed.
If no way you can uninstall (in a documented way), then you can go with the final option of cleaning up from active directory. But take a backup of the active directory system state before doing this to be safe.

  • Unable to SEND mail using Activesync in Exchange 2010 server on iPhone or Windows Mobile 6.1

    Hi All,
We've been setting up a new SBS 2011 server for a client this week. Everything is working, except the staff have 4 x iPhones to connect with Exchange ActiveSync.
There are 2 x iPhone 4's and 2 x iPhone 3Gs's. We can setup the Exchange accounts on each of the phones and they are all able to sync mail and calender etc with the server.
The problem we have is when any of them try to send mail from the phone, it gives an error : "Cannot Send Mail - An error occurred while delivering this message" and it sits in the outbox on the phone.
The newsgroups and forums are littered with people having issues with IOS4 and Exchange 2010 but most of these are from June-August 2010 when IOS4 version was around 4.00 or 4.01
A lot of these people had iPhone 3 handsets running with IOS 3.1.3 which worked with Exchange 2010 but when they upgraded to IOS 4, they had this problem sending mail.
It seems that for most of them, the fix came in the form of IOS version 4.1 which fixed the send issue for them.
We have a variety of Hansets and IOS versions (including an iPhone 3Gs running IOS 3.1.3) but are unable to send mail from any of them:
    iPhone 3Gs    IOS 3.1.3
    iPhone 3Gs    IOS 4.3.3
    iPhone 4       IOS 4.3.3
    iPhone 4       IOS 4.3.5
I was surprised that the iPhone 3Gs running 3.1.3 was unable to send either as nearly all the forums etc I read with this issue said the iPhone 3's worked with that IOS version.
Today we used a test iPhone 4 handset from our office to connect to an almost identical Small Business Server 2011 we setup two weeks ago for another client.
The test iPhone 4 was able to connect, Sync and Send email on that server but when set it to connect to this SBS 2011 server, it gets the "Cannot Send Mail" message the same as the others. So clearly the handset is working (on the other server at least),
it must be something misconfigured in this Exchange server right?
We ran the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyser on the Exchange server and got green ticks across the board.
Outlook Web App and Outlook Anywhere both work normally. Everything we can test on the Exchange server works except sending from any iPhone.
Having said all that, I just setup a Windows Mobile 6.1 handset to sync with the Exchange 2010 server as a test, and it appears to have the same issue.
It will connect & Sync Mail, Contacts and Calendar but if trying to send an email from the phone, it will just sit in the outbox.
Does anyone have some insight into what the problem may be?

Further to this .. I found the solution on a MS Exchange 2010 support forum.
It was not a certificate or firewall issue, looks as thought the “Accepted Domains” in Exchange Mgmt Console –
Org Config – Hub Transport cannot have any spaces in the name field.
I had some spaces and the emails were not downloading fully and able to send. Once I removed the spaces from the Name field and
restarting the Exchange and IIS services emails were now being sent and received ok.

Just updated to my macbook pro to 10.8.2. ical not synching with my Exchange 2010 server. Worked flawlessly prior to the upgrade. Settings set to auto discover. I matched settings of a partner in my who is still using 10.7.1 without issues. Help!

Also - my battery has been telling me "service battery" for a LONG time and then it switched to "replace soon" som time ago. Can't really see what this has to do with anything but whatever.
That could conceivably explain all the problems you're describing. Replacing a Mac's battery should not be postponed since a failed battery will cause other problems to occur. It is also possible that its hard disk has failed, which means the information on it may soon become unrecoverable.
... my latest TM back up was from April 2014, can I just run this when I have rescued everthing and then it might not be as slow?
If that Time Machine backup remains intact, it may be the only viable means of recovering that Mac's information. I suggest you do not attempt to restore its contents to your ailing Mac.
Given that you are having trouble creating a newer Time Machine backup you should stop using that Mac immediately and have it serviced as soon as you are able. Do not take it to anyone other than Apple or a service facility authorized by Apple, for the very reasons you explained. If there are no Apple Stores in your vicinity search for an Authorized Apple Service Provider using the Contact Us link below. Use one of the options that appear under Contact Apple Support. The language on that page will be different for your location.

    Hi,
I agree with Martina. This should be solved somehow without need to use ADSI Edit.
Martina, I did run the command you suggested (Get-mailbox -arbitration | disable-mailbox -DisableLastArbitrationMailboxAllowed), but unfortunately here is the result:
The operation couldn't be performed because object 'Company.local/Users/SystemMailbox{e0dc1c29-89c3-4034-b678-e6c29d823ed9}' couldn't be found on 'DC.Company.local'.

  • Outlook 2010/2013 clients, outside of our main office, can't connect to our Exchange 2010 server

    Hi,
Our remote users had been connecting to our Exchange server at our office since the Exchange server was installed in 2011.
Starting last Wednesday, Outlook 2010/2013 clients, outside of our main office, can't connect to our Exchange 2010 server.  Outlook kept asking for a username and a password.  At the same time, entries of Event 4625 were generated on the Event
    log on out Exchange server.
Events 4625 has the following properties, "Logon Type: 3", "Failure Reason: An Error occured during Logon.", "Status: 0xc000006d", "Logon Process: NtLmSsp", and "Authentication Package: NTLM".
By the way, I had used a laptop to test this problem.  Its Outlook work fine ion the main office, but it won't work outside of our office.
    Does anyone have any idea?
    Thanks.

  • Change name of AD site hosting Exchange 2010 server

We want to change the name of an AD site which currently hosts an Exchange 2010 server.  Is this possible?  Are there specific steps we need to follow to keep Exchange up & running?

    Hi Sneaky,
As Vincez mentioned, it is possible to change the name of the AD site with Exchange 2010 is hosted, you just need to restart the AD topology service after changing.

  • Renew SSL Certificate for for two Exchange 2010 Server and the new rules.

I find DigitCert's website always helpful with cert questions. They've got a pretty helpful page here: https://www.digicert.com/internal-names.htmIt looks like they've got a tool for Exchange, but I've not used it myself, so can't say if it works or how well: https://www.digicert.com/internal-domain-name-tool.htmI bet Microsoft have something on their website too that helps with this sort of question.I'd say you register a completely new domain and use that for public facing and internal servers. Or you could just create a sub domain of an existing one, i.e. subdomain.mydomain.com and use that, i.e. public_exchange.subdomain.mydomain.com and internal_exchange.subdomain.mydomain.com.

    Hi there ,
My exchange 2010 Server Certificate is about to expire and i am going to renew it but according to the new rules for SSL Certificate Issuing we can not include our Local Servers Names and Local FQDN such as myserver.contoso.local, my issue is that i have 2 exchange servers one is internet-facing Server (where the certificate is initiated and installed) and one is non-internet-facing Exchange server.
if i am going to renew my certificate with public only name, I have to create a split Domain that reflects my external links to the internal Users, what shall i do for the non-internet-facing server? do i need to create another record in my split DNS Server and add it to my Certificate Request ?

  • Exchange 2010 Server not receiving External Mail

    Hi everyone,
I have an Exchange 2010 Server which is connected to an edge server.
Suddenly yesterday all the exchange users on this network stop receiving inbound Emails.
Sending and receiving internal emails still works and even sending outbound emails.
I try to restart the server to see if this could have solved the problem but unfortunately it didnt work.
I dont know much about exchange and would be grateful is someone could offer a solution.
    Thank
    Breon

    Hi,
Agree with v_2udan. And I just want to make a supplement to him.
    1.
The external Domain Name System (DNS) servers for your domain must have mail exchanger (MX) resource records pointing to your
mail servers, or, if you are using an Internet service provider (ISP) or an external system, this external system must have an MX record for your domain and a mechanism to forward mail to your Exchange servers.
    2.
External servers must be able to access 25 port of you Exchange server on the internet. It can’t be blocked by firewall
    or other networking settings.
    3.
On Receive Connector, Anonymous users should be selected in Permission Groups.
    4.   Since
you have Edge server, you can re-subscribe the Edge server.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Exchange 2010 server with 2 DAG servers - DAG1 and DAG2 - backup with 2 DPM servers one for each DAG server

    Hello,
Please advice, i have an Exchange 2010 server with 2 DAG servers - DAG1 and DAG2 - backup with 2 DPM servers, one for DAG1 and one for DAG2 is it possible ?

    Hi,
I confirmed with Exchange support team that DAGs could be backed up separately.
Meanwhile backup database is important if you need to recover both Exchange server settings and database. See:

  • Adding a second Exchange 2010 Server to an exsisting site.

We have a working server and I want to load a second Exchange 2010 server and migrate all roles and users to the new server. What if anything do I need to watch when doing this. This first step I want to do is move all users to the new server because we
are running out of space on the old server, and then I will move roles to the new server. then shut the old server down. Again just looking for some good directions to do this.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
I agree with DareDevil57. We can add a new Exchange 2010 server and migrate from the old Exchange 2010 to the new Exchange 2010 server. Make sure the new Exchange server works well, then we can decommission the old Exchange 2010 server.

  • Restore Exchange 2007 database backup on Exchange 2010 server

    Hi,
We have a requirement to restore mailbox from 2 years old when backup taken from Exchange 2007 server. Now we are on Exchange 2010 server where backup happens. So out of 2 years 1 year backup happen from Exchange 2007 & later happen from Exchange 2010
    server using Netbackup.
We have 2 Exchange 2010 mailbox server & 1 Exchange 2007 mailbox server. Mailbox to be restore currently exists on Exchange 2010 mailbox server & functional.
can someone guide me with exact steps or best practice for restoring mailbox. confused by reading over multiple posts.

    Hi ,
You cannot export data to a .pst file from a mailbox that is in a recovery storage group (RSG).
Mailboxes that are in a database that has been mounted in an RSG cannot be connected to Active Directory directory service accounts. These mailboxes have to be merged into existing mailboxes, or copied to a folder in an existing mailbox.

  • Tests pass, but iPhone won't autodiscover Exchange 2010.

I have some Exchange 2007 and one Exchange 2010 I am responsible for. As far as I can tell I have ActiveSync and AutoDiscover setup properly. Running the tests here confirms this. With an iPhone I am able to do the "one step autodiscovery" on the Exchange 2007 servers but the Exchange 2010 does the "two step setup" where it fails to get the server name and it has to be put in by hand.
I'm curious if something was changed in 2010 AutoDiscover that breaks iPhone (3G 3.1.2). More likely I have got something misconfigured.
All the DNS names point to the same server, the SSL certificate supports all the names.
Here is my ActiveSync test results against the 2010 server.

    Demazter:
Check the security tab of the users in AD and see if inherit permissions is checked.
had a similar problem with my first migration to Exchange 2010 and it was down to a security permission on the Active Directory User account.
In Active Directory Users and Computers right click on the user and select properties then under the security tab and advanced make sure the box is checked for inheritable permissions.

Demazter is right for existing users that have been upgraded from previous versions of Exchange.  If you create a new user in Exchange 2010 IPhone sync will work without additional steps.
When I went to check the security tab in AD, it was not visible.  I had to click the View menu then place a check beside Advanced Features.
When I checked the inheritable box, IPhone Sync worked for that existing user.
Note, I checked other users in my AD with mailboxes and some of them had this already checked.  The only two that didn't have this box checked were the users that were using the IPhone syncing and were upgraded from Exchange 2007.

  • How to test if Spam protection with Forefront for Exchange 2010 works

    Hi there.
Installed forefront for exchange 2010 on Exchange Edge server.
We have tested virus protection with creating EICAR, but the question is, is there a way to check if SPAM Works fine, and how to?
    with best regards
    bostjanc

    Hi bostjanc,
Since this is an issue on the Forefront side, I suggest ask Forefront Forum for help so that you can get more professional suggestions. For your convenience:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/forefront/en-US/home?forum=FOPE
However, based on my knowledge, use the EICAR antivirus test file is the only built-in method to check whether the Anti-Spam configured correctly.
You can try to send some test spams to your Exchange server for testing, even if this is a stupid method : )
    Thanks
