Test of podcasting message

Apple seem to have rejected my podcast submission, but I don't know why or how to appeal to them.
They e-mailed me:
Dear Podcast Owner
The following podcast has not been included in the iTunes podcast directory.
Name: DJ NicoBoy's Trance-Sonique Sessions Podcast
Feed URL: http://nicoboy.podomatic.com/rss2.xml
This submission appears to be a test of the podcasting process. Please know that you can test the appearance and behavior of your podcast in iTunes by following these steps:
1. Launch iTunes.
2. In the Advanced menu, select Subscribe to Podcast.
3. Enter your feed URL in the text box and click OK.
For more information, please see the podcast technical specification at http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/techspecs.html.
Once your podcast is ready and you have uploaded your first episode, please feel free to re-submit it for consideration.
Sincerely,
The iTunes Store Team
But, it's not the case. All 9 of my podcasts are showing in Itunes when tested as suggested. So, what do I do next?
Any advice welcomed.
P.S.; I use podomatic for my podcasts.

Hello
I can download from the iTunes store Trance-Sonique Sessions Feb.2011. Also I can see several other podcasts of yours. But... I'm not sure that means they are in the store. I think that means we are both downloading them from your service provider.
These are my thoughts, but I only recently got my own podcast into the iTunes store. So listen to the experts.
You will not have much success applying to the iTunes store. Even when I managed to CALL the iTunes store, they could only put me through to someone who worked on iphones. When I sent emails I got responses, always very polite, but they didn' t have a clue what I was asking about and kept sending me back to this forum or else the standard links on how to submit a podcast. Very frustrating. I finally setup a new account and changed the title of my podcast, also several keywords. I fell into the trap of making an error on the first submission.
I also got the 'you appear to be testing' message. In my case I had, it seems, not properly filled in the title field. My title field had default information from the application I used to publish my podcast (iweb) which their automated system apparently recognizes. As a result I was flagged as a tester. Then I could never resubmit it. I could resubmit, but nothing ever happened. I guess I was in the database with that RSS feed, and so the system didn't process me.
Roger Wilmut told me, in this forum, that this is a recognized problem with submitting podcasts. That's why I did what I did. Mobile me has free trials for 2 months, so I simply switched from one free trial account to another. But I also changed plenty of information, including my name (it's still my real name I just used initials for my first name and put a fuller version of my last name out) and then changed keywords so that my submission would not come up as some kind of duplicate, in case other fields besides the RSS feed check for duplicates. Gee, I hope that makes sense!
I know you can see your episodes, and so can I, but we are downloading them from your rsp directly. I'm not sure they are actually in the iTunes store. Can you find your podcast by searching the store for different keywords that may be associated with it? That is the real test.
See what other people say. I'm still new at this.

  • Unable to send myself a test picture or message using MMS

    11-01-2009 02:01 PM
I have a 8820 and my provider is t-mobile.  I have been trying for a month now to figure how to send myself a test picture and message to verify that MMS is working.  I have had several different phone models from other companies and they allow me to send myself a test message.  When I try it, it shows it being sent out but when it comes back there no pictures or messages. Also when I send myself a test email message it will not come back to my phone but will go to my desktop just fine.  I can send to other users just fine and they can send to me.  I just can not send myself a test message.   t-mobile claims I should be able to do it but to date they have not been able to help me.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

So you are able to send MMS to other users, you are just wanting to send MMS to yourself? Making sure I understand question.

  • Parameterized Message Mapping (RFCLookup) test in ESB message behaviour

    Hi Gurus,
I am using parameterized message mapping using RFCLookup function
In the TEST tab of the mapping, I've provided my test xml instance message and inputted the Message Mapping Parameter (MMP) value with the RFC Receiver Communication Channel I am using,
looking at the Trace level in the editor, the source field value was put to the RFC as the import parameter, but the mapping fails with error that the RFC returned my defined exception (no POnumber available for MaterialNumber) --> which is not the expected result because in the ERP backend there is an existing PO for the material.    I tested the RFC in the backend ERP itself and it is performing ok, with a PO number returned for the material (testing in SE37)
I checked on the Comm Channel and my message is being passed to the RFC adapter, but up to this point only:
RfcAdapter received a synchronous message. Trying to send sRFC for Z_RFC_NAME.
RfcAdapter received a synchronous message. Trying to send sRFC for PIREPUSER.
I have created the Binding for the Operation Mapping.
Would any of you have an idea on what is missing or what is wrong?
P.S.   my RFC has a defined exception in it, but currently I am not using it in the RFCLookup  mapping (unchecked "Use Exception" checkbox)

    Hi All,
Solved the issue by passing the complete length of input parameter as defined in my RFC, e.g. input param in RFC is TYPE to a 12 char field, and the input parameter value being passed by the IDoc is only 6 chars.
In this case i used formatNumber function to put leading zeroes to complete the input parameter length
    sourceField -->formatNumber --> RFCLookup --> targetField
Weird behaviour though is that even if my message is successfully received in the receiving system, the RFC CommChannel that my RFCLookup is using is still only showing this:
2010-12-01 23:14:32 Information RfcAdapter received a synchronous message. Trying to send sRFC for Z_FM_NAME.
2010-12-01 23:14:32 Information RfcAdapter received a synchronous message. Trying to send sRFC for J2EE_GUEST.
Why isn't the whole request response of the RFC captured by the RFC adapter?  (e.g. MDT has status DLVG, DLV...)

  • Could anybody please take a look at a test video podcast?

I'm able to load this into itunes using the advanced tab and download a test video podcast. It's a minute long and 2.6MB in size, and used the MOV>IPOD preset in QT7.
If anybody could take a look at it and let me know that they can download it and view it on their ipod, I'd appreciate it. I'm also interested to know if the smaller titles are legible to you on your ipod.

  • Can someone test my podcast on their iPod please?

hello -- i just set up my first podcast but don't have an iPod to test it on. is it possible someone could test it out? i subscribed to my own feed in itunes and it works, but it's not searchable yet via itunes, and i don't have an iPod to test that my clip was encoded properly. anyone willing to drop it into their iPod and test it out??
    here's the rss link:
    http://www.maplepalmmovie.com/podcasts/rss.xml
    thx

I don't have an iPod either, but one quick way to tell if it is in the correct format is to subscribe to your own podcast, you can manually subscribe to it using the Advanced >Subscribe to podcast option in iTunes. Once you've downloaded the video, select the video, then choose Advanced> Convert selection for iPod.
If it is in the correct format it will display a message "One or more selections couldn't be converted since they are already in the correct format"
If not, it will begin the conversion for you.
In this case, your video is not in the correct format.
The iTunes spec indicates which formats, sizes, bitrates, etc.. the iPod can play:
    Creating Video Podcasts
Although iTunes can play a variety of .mp4, .m4v, and .mov video formats, video iPods require more specific formats. By following the steps in the Creating Video for iPod tutorial, QuickTime 7 Pro will automatically create an .m4v file containing H.264 video and AAC audio that is optimized for iPod. iPod can play the following video formats:
    * H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Low-Complexity Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats
    * H.264 video, up to 768 kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats
    * MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats
One quick and easy way to get it in the proper format is to use Quicktime Pro to export your original source video. There is a export option "Movie to iPod" this will convert it to a iPod compatible format.

  • Test exact exception messages in java SE with locale for program handling

My problem is test the exact exceptions returned by JAVA Standard Engine for program handling.
I work in systems usually set to "Italian Locale" and the result is different in different platforms.
When I work in MSWindows with Java almost messages are in English but not all, for example IOException "Cannot assign requested address" in the Italian Locale is "Indirizzo richiesto non valido nel proprio contesto" but other messages like "Socket Closed" remain "Socket Closed".
Catch the exact exception through description is not a good idea but I don't found other way for Java SE native exceptions!
In Solaris I try to set English LANG environment in the user context and it works.
In MS Windows I try to set the definition in start java with:
    *"java -Duser.language=en -Duser.region=US"*
and in the code I try to add the statement:
    Locale.setDefault(Locale.US);
    but without results.
Is there anybody that has the same problem?
Is there a better way to catch the exact type of Java SE exceptions ?
    My test Environments:_
    Solaris 10 jdk 1.6.0.02
    MS Windows 2000 jdk 1.6.0.02
MS Windows XP jdk1.6.0.02 and 1.5.0.12
Fragment program example for additional explanation:_
    try {

    System.out.println("Ok socket closed exception catched");
    if (ex.getMessage().equals("Cannot assign requested address"))

    Hi guys,
How can i test my transformation after creation of message mapping in Integration Repository.

    Hi,
    1. If you just want to test the mapping --In message Mapping there are three tab, the second one being hte Test tAb. So u can pu the values in the left side XML and do test.

    2. You can do the Testing from Interface mapping also. There is a Test tab there too.
    3. If you have created the whole scnerio then you can do testing from Integration directory:

  • Testing or postingmultiple messages in runtime workbench

    Hi,
I want to know if  there is any shortcut to automatically post multiple messages say around 130 in runtime workbench at a time without clicking send message button for each message?
let me know if any tools are available
    With Regards,
    Deepika.

    Hi,
I am assuming you are talking about sending new messages to XI system for testing.
    - You can create sender file channel in test mode and it will keep sending messages to XI system and dump all type of messages in this folder for load testing.
    - You can use SOAP UI (search google for free SOAP UI), various UI tools support multiple sending for messages in one go for testing.

  • ITunes Video Podcasts - Message: " iTunes has stopped working"

When I try to play my video podcasts I'm getting the message "iTunes has stopped working". I'm able to play my music and sync my iPod Nano 6th Gen just fine. I looked through 19 pages of messages to see if this specific problem has been addressed previously but didn't find anything. I'm running Ver 10.1.0.56. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate your help. I'm using VisionTek ATI Radeon HD4850, 512MB, PCI-e. As far as I know the driver is up-to-date - I'm set up for automatic updates.

When I try to play my video podcasts I'm getting the message "iTunes has stopped working".
Your Windows 7 will have been recording additional information about those ones. Fingers crossed, that'll give us a heads up about the nature of the trouble.
Head into your Action Center and look through your Problem History for iTunes problem reports generated at the time of the errors. Open them up and have a look through.
Do they seem to be saying pretty much the same thing? If so, copy the contents of a typical problem report into a reply here so we can have a look.

  • "Itunes has stopped updating your podcast" message -- is there away around?

When new podcasts are downloaded into Itunes, I transfer them straight to my ipod. I don't play them in Itunes.
As a result, I have to tell Itunes that I DO want to continue downloading new files - for every podcast to which I subscribe, on a recurring basis.
Seems to me that transferring the file shows signs of interest - same as playing.
Is there a way to set Itunes to treat a transfer to the ipod the same as playing it?

You're right, there is no way to turn off this asinine, infuriating feature. It's this kind of thing that drove me away from Windows and made me so happy when I got a Mac. I felt like I didn't have to fight the Windows Big Brother anticipating my needs and only allowing me to do things in a way that Windows wanted me to.
Anyways, there is a partial solution, although its pretty sad compared to how easy it would be if Apple included a little checkbox in the options menu that said "Do you want iTunes to stop downloading your podcasts if you listen to them in any other way than on iTunes, even if you listen to them on your (Apple) iPod?". Go to http://www.dougscripts.com and check out the NeedleDrop script. It will let you automatically play 1 second or so of each podcast in your directory. You can then tell iTunes to update your podcasts and it will retrieve all of them, as it should anyways. One downside is that you'll have to run the NeedleDrop script every so often to update the playcount of your podcasts. Another downside, if you're a Windows user, is that the AppleScript will only work on Mac.
As a tangent (read "rant"), iTunes is becoming really annoying lately. For starters, the interface has been looking more and more repulsively Windows-esque for the last few versions. Just recently, when I updated to the latest version of iTunes, it took me a week or so to delete the previous version because there was an application called "iTunes Helper" that wouldn't close. It didn't appear in the list of processes on my computer. Finally I found that it was a startup item in my list of startup programs. After disabling it, I was finally able to delete the old version of iTunes. Now iTunes doesn't update my podcasts if I don't listen to them in a way that iTunes deems fit. What is going on? Ugly interface, hidden processes, uncontrollable "features". Is Apple outsourcing their development to Microsoft or something?

  • Test Failed in Message Mapping

    Hi,
I have mapped all the mandaory fields and records, but still not able to run a test. It's getting failed with the below error.
12:02:56 Start of test Mapping object Mapname incomplete. Unable to continue execution
leaf node with minOccurs>0 and without mapping
    12:02:56 End of test
Thanks for help if anyone has any clue of what's going wrong.

    Hi,
Are you sure you have done the mapping correctly for all the fields because the error clearly says one of the mandatory fields has not been mapped.

  • Help with "Testing Failed" Error message in iWeb09

I bought the iLife 09 upgrade purely so I could publish to my own domain server. I have a MobileMe account and iWeb09 publishes fine there--no problems.
My domain name is hosted on a Windows NT server. The admin is willing to help, but I was hoping someone could point me to documentation for this error:
    "Testing Failed.
Unable to write to server. Verify your settings and try again."
If I ftp to the site in a terminal window and do a put, I can write to the site. Obviously, I could at some point, because it servers the "dummy" page I put up, but I tested again in case my permissions had changed.
I looked at the "Publishing to Windows-based FTP Server" but it does not seem to describe this error.
BTW, I pay AppleCare for support, but when I tried to get support documentation from them, the tech said they "can't help" with this part of iWeb and hung up on me--the call lasted exactly 90 seconds.
I am hoping someone out here will know where the errors are documented or will be able to help me figure it out.

I waded through the posts for iWeb09 and came across a recommendation for Cyberduck (www.cyberduck.ch), so I tried a copy. Works like a champ. Unlike iWeb09, all I had to do was type in my server name, user name, and password to open the connection. Then I published my site to a folder in iWeb and uploaded the folder in Cyberduck. Cyberduck had no problem writing to the server.
I still would love to know why iWeb can't write to my web server.

In a previous post you have said "yes userid n pwd are entered".
Therefore I cannot understand your question now, where you have to enter User/pw.
"and what authorities need to be given to this user?"
Do I know your Function Module ???
    Sorry...
You have to assign all the authorities, which you will check in your function module.
If there are no "AUTHORITY CHECK"s in your FM and in all the FMs your FM calls internally, the problem is somewhere else.
