Test Plan for upgrade SAP and downstream EDI transaltor

We are in the middle of upgrade 4.0B to ECC 6.0 with mercator as a downstream EDI translator.
Can anyone share a test plan or a list of things you test to make sure the data flow from either side is not affected.....

Upgradation steps:
1) Convert Data Classes of InfoCubes. Set up a new data class as described in SAP OSS Note 46272.
2) Pay attention to the naming convention. Execute the RSDG_DATCLS_ASSIGN report.
3) Run the report RSUPGRCHECK to activate objects.
4) Upgrading ABAP and JAVA in parallel may cause issues. If there is no custom development on J2EE instance, it is recommended to drop the J2EE instance and re-install the latest J2EE instance after the upgrade.
5) Apply SAP OSS Note 917999 if you include the Support Patch 6 with the upgrade or you will get the error at PARCONV_UPG phase. When you upgrade to a product containing Basis 700, the phase PARCONV_UPG terminates. You included Basis Support Packages up to package level 6 (SAPKB70006) in the upgrade. The job RDDGENBB_n terminates with the error RAISE_EXCEPTION. In addition to this, the syslog contains the short dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED. The program SDB2FORA terminates in the statement "LOOP AT stmt_tab". An endless loop occurs when the system creates the database table QCM8TATOPGA.
6) Apply the OSS note 917999 if you get the following error during PARCONV_UPG phase: PARCONV_UPG terminates with TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOG_FAILED

3. Install the J2EE instance as Add-in to ABAP for BI 7.0 and apply the Support Patch that equivalent to ABAP Support Patch.
4. Run SGEN to recompile programs.
5. Install the Kernel Patch.
6. Missing Variants - (also part of test script) look at the RSRVARIANT table in SE16. If it is empty, then you will definitely need to run RSR_VARIANT_XPRA program - RSR_VARINT_XPRA OSS -953346 and 960206 1003481

Unit test plan for inbound and outbound interfaces

I am trying to create a UNIT TEST PLAN for an interface. In this interface a flat file in IDOC format is picked up from the application server and processed using EDI_DATA_INCOMING for the relevant posting ( example : Sales order creation from a PO IDOC). IF the file is not in IDOC format then it is reformatted to the IDOC format manually.
In second scenario(outbound), after sales order creation or billing document creation, IDOC is created which is read and a custom flat file is created and sent to a middleware.
PLease suggest a unit test plan for these kind of scenarios or send a sample UTP if possible.

Unfortunately this isn't possible, the esa has only one routing table. You'll have to add specific routes for your internal networks.
I usually avoid two-armed setups because of this and it gets even worse if you want to use virtual gateways (traffic gets sent via the internal interface with an IP from the external interface)

I need to create multiple inspection plans for same material with same usage.during the inspection lot creation i need to select any one inspection plan.
In standard SAP its not possible.Any user exits available for this..

My Dear Shayamal is absolutely correct and we are corrently using this SAP facility. You can create 'N' number of inspectio plans for a material and then whenever the inspection lot will created ( Thru a process order or Manual) then you will get the Inspection Lot Status 'CRTD' (Created mode) then you have to select your Inspection Task list manually by two way...
Either go to QA02 and then select it from the list of multiple plans.
Or you can directly go from QA32 ...select your inspection lot row and directly click on the Inspection Lot icon to go directly to the inspection lot window to slect the Task list.
Further there is no need to remove the Automatic Assignment from the QM View of the Material Master as if there is only one task List then system will automatically assign the TASK LIST, if you deselect it then you have to select in every case.

I am having a similar problem. I am using Chrome and tried on Mac and on PC but the same. Its not completing my order and on PC saying:

Unfortunately, you will have to contact Adobe directly to do this sort of thing, with the best bet being by phone. They may, or may not, be willing to refund you your purchase cost.

Here is my plan for upgrading to Lion

I assumed that there was going to end up being a huge thread about problems with upgrading to Lion. And I have too much at stake (Adobe, Microsoft products, etc) to be helping beta test such a major upgrade.
And I am really amazed out how many people are desperate to go back a version...back to Snow Leopard in order to restore their working applications. So if it was so critical that Lion work the first time with your installed apps, why did you have such terrible backup plans in place?
So here is my foolproof (hopefully) solution to protecting against an upgrade meltdown.
It's VERY simple.
Purchase another hard drive for your Macbook Pro (Sorry, won't work with Air,...I know.)
Clone it and then install it into your Mac, or restore from your Time Machine. (Or just verify that it boots and works ok)
Go to the online Mac store and purchase and install your Lion upgrade. If it works for you....fine. If not re-install the other drive and wait a few months for the bug updates to arrive.... and then try again.
Before you complain about purchasing another hard drive. Don't be so cheap. If you can afford a Mac, you can afford $60 for a new hard drive. Isn't your sanity worth it? Then buy an enclosure and and use it as a backup drive.
Is this concept so tough?

You don't even have to buy an internal drive, an external works just as well and then there's no fuss about installing it.
You can use SuperDuper! or CarbonCopyCloner and make the external bootable to test it.

Nobody can tell you any time values. This depends on the used hardware, the speed of the underlying I/O subsystem, the number of processes you use, the speed of the server, number of languages etc. etc.
1 - 5 is done online, nobody will notice because all the work is done in a shadow instance .Downtime says it all and 7 and 8 are postprocessing work.
To try that do a copy of the production to a sandbox and play with the values and see yourself how much time you need.

I have maintained the interface scenarios in SOALR01. This "Interface Scenario" is the standard node in Solution Manager like "Organizational Units", "Master Data" & "Business Scenarios". But in STWB_2 (Test Plan Creation), the interface scenarios are not listed for selection.
Can anyone please let me know the reason?

Payment Plan for Upgrade Phones

I think Verizon should have a payment plan for new upgrade phones. I have been a long time Verizon customer and in years past when my plan would come up for a replacement phone I always choose one of the top phones and upgraded for about $50. In today's time, due to Technology, to upgrade to say an I Phone runs around $300 by the time you get tax (CA), new charger- home and car as well as a hands free device. To pay that Big amount the next month on my bill is the reason I am holding back getting one and I want the best because new phones are always coming out and we will have a better ones and the focus is everything going mobile. If I could split that total into 2 payments, it would be a lot easier for me and I would be at the store tomorrow buying one. I think Verizon should do this because they would increase their phones sales immediately. No Other Phone Company is doing this and they could pick up new customers from companies that do not offer this. First to the Marketplace to do this has BIG Value.
In this Economy, Verizon could create a way to increase their sales and a sense of Goodwill to help the consumer at the same time...Novel Idea!!!!!!

Pay for the phones and service up front or use a credit card (as SydneyK suggested) ...Verizon isn't going to finance the phone purchase. They are in the business of providing wireless service, not financing equipment purchases.
I can imagine prices would go up if they ever WERE to do this, since I'm sure there would be defaults that the rest of us would cover with increased rates. No, thanks...
