* I did not actaully hit the 800 charlimit, or if I did it posted
*I still am able to edit after posting, including TS comments. Not sure an ordinary user can do that
* User editing apparently has a problem
** TS information additional comments are lost if posting from [Showdetails >>]
** If posting from prior TS page any ''Installed plugin'' edits are lost
* The "Guess" showed only 4 of my 6 ask to activate plugins
*My deactivated plugins do not display, by contrast deactivated extensions do display
* System info not user friendly in this instance, was that due to my edits ? <br>I will repeat as a straight question with no edits.
N.B. Trying here as opposed to alizom as I wanted to be certain what a user sees.
I will use someone eles's email address to set up an ordinary user account first.

Backed up my photos and have lost them

Ok so bit of a complicated one, i have got an iphone 4s and itunes on a mac
Ok so came back off honeymoon about 6 weeks ago and proceeded to update my Apple account with my new surname (double-barrel) and edited email address, as far as I remember something popped up on my phone straight after confirming a change had been made which i 'ok'd it or something similar.
Whilst trying to understand the issue of the title of this topic I have noticed that my iphone is still set with my old name/email address on the iphone (icloud) and itunes (on the phone), so I signed out of both and logged in with my new credentials created about 6 weeks ago.
Now for the issue, me and the wife wanted to add our wedding snaps which came on disc from the photographer, which were copied onto the hdd of the mac and we wanted to copy them onto our iphones, so proceeded to plug them in and we could not sync either one of them (important to note wife's login credentials haven't been updated with her name change and as far as i'm aware itunes on the mac is under my old email address (didnt think of it at the time if indeed it is under my old one).
For love nor money could we get them to sync, I proceeded to back up both phones with our current photos taken on the photo roll to icloud just incase, we then updated both phones with the new ios update hoping that may fix it, but it hasn't, and for some reason now the original photos from over 3 years worth have disappeared on both phones and I cant find a way to get them back.
Sorry for the confusing post, but at a lost end, surely a back up is that, that if you need to 'get back' items you can do so easily, which i cant seem to do

You can't, unless you have the photos synced them with your computer on iPhoto/iTunes.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Hello! I had Photoshop Elements (and some other products) installed on my Laptob, but lost them because of a system breakdown. Trying to install these programms again, I logged in to my account "my adobe" and immediately found my products listed there plus a link "download here". But clicking the link didn´t start anything. Nothing happened. How can I get my prgramms installed again?

Try using a different browser if the link did not work.

I have iphoto 08 version 7.1.5. I copied photos from recent - last import into albums. I then deleted the photos and emptied the trash. Today all the albums are empty and the photos are nowhere in the library. Have I lost them all?

OK, here are a set of screenshots with my step by step - maybe you will be able to spot where I've gone awry:
I find a photo in the Library that I will delete from an album:
I go down to my Albums and find the picture in one of them:
I hover over the pic so the little down arrow appears in the bottom right-hand corner. I click on it, then click on the Trash Can in the window that drops down:

No there isn't but you do have a "Preview" tab in the editor to look at what you are posting before you post it.
Apart from that, there isn't that much functionality that people would need to "test".

If you can't find these songs on your purchased list to redownload them (as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519), you'll have to contact iTunes store support for assistance: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.

What keeps happening to contacts on iOS 7.0.6? Lost them twice.

The other day my phone seemed to lose all the contacts list and then sporadically recvered it again.
I just lost them again as I noticed that all inbound calls were showing just the numbers etc...
So, checked on icloud and they are there, so I dragged them down as a vcf, imported and merged back to the phone then checked.
In my recent calls list, it shows the names of the contacts in there and now the contacts list has a few duplicates. Most names are single entries, some have 5 or more copies. .
I can't see how I can force a resynch (why do apple obfuscate all the bloody simple tasks?) and just tidy this up...
Since 7.0.6, this has been a repeating issue.....

If the .vcf file doesn't contain duplicates, you can delete all the contacts in iCloud, then reimport the .vcf to your phone to repopulate iCloud. To delete all your iCloud contacts, go to your contacts on icloud.com from your computer, log into your iCloud account and open Contacts, click on All Contacts on the left, to the right click on any single contact to select it, click on the Actions (gear shaped) icon at the bottom left and choose Select All, then press the Delete key on your keyboard.
