`test-replicationhealth QUORUMGROUP appears as failed

Hello,
I have monitored this failure while i was upgrading my clients Exchange 2010 SP1 servers to SP3. In my client environment they have 2 HUB/CAS servers and 2 Mailbox servers.
When i check test-replicationhealth QUORUMGROUP appears as failed. Screenshot is attached what could be the reason. From each server Witness share can be accessed. Please help me to rectify this issue..
Tks,
Dilshan

Hi,
I would like to verify if you can bring the Quorum Group online via Failover Cluster Manager.
What's more, please make sure that the account for DAG cluster is enabled. If it is disabled accidently, this issue will occur.
If the issue persists, please check if there is any error event in Failover Cluster Manager.
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
Amy

    Hi,
DatabaseAvailabilityCheck verifies that databases have sufficient availability. If this check fails, it means that some databases are at risk of losing service.
I recommend you run the Test-ReplicationHealth | fl cmdlet again and check the error message, there should be some clues explaining why it this check fails.

    Hi,
The error message said that current Redundancy Count was 1 but expected Redundancy Count was 2. Therefore, Database 'IT2013' does not have enough copies configured to meet the validation criteria.
Please replicate that database to another server at least. We can refer to Hinte's suggestion to
add another copy for the database 'IT2013' in the DAG then check whether the issue persists.

  • Solaris 10 sshd + GSSAPI auth appears to fail with long usernames.

Solaris 10 sshd using GSSAPI mode appears to fail with long usernames.
We have recently jumbo-patched solaris 10 server and windows 2k3 kerberos kdc. We wish to provide the single sign on thing for our Windows users, as written up in http://220-245-28-18.static.tpgi.com.au/~irvinee/gssapi-sol10/gssapi-howto.html
Everything is fine, until a user with a ten character username comes along. The ten character username does not get the single sign on experience
However, he can kinit fine on Solaris 10 server and also on other unix clients.
If I switch from the stock solaris 10 sshd to a self-compiled OpenSSH linked against MIT Kerberos, the 10 char username gets single-sign-on and all is well..
I note I have no problem when the server is FreeBSD 6.2 and the client is stock solaris 10 ssh.
It seems to be the Solaris 10 sshd only that is affected. Before I write up a bug report, has anyone else come across the same problem?

I finally got it working. I think my problem was that I was coping and pasting the /etc/pam.conf from Gary's guide into the pam.conf file.
There was unseen carriage returns mucking things up. So following a combination of the two docs worked. Starting with:
    http://web.singnet.com.sg/~garyttt/Configuring%20Solaris%20Native%20LDAP%20Client%20for%20Fedora%20Directory%20Server.htm
Then following the steps at "Authentication Option #1: LDAP PAM configuration " from this doc:
    http://docs.lucidinteractive.ca/index.php/Solaris_LDAP_client_with_OpenLDAP_server
for the pam.conf, got things working.
Note: ensure that your user has the shadowAccount value set in the objectClass

  • HDD stuck in clag, seems to pass tests (or at least, not fail them)

About 12 months ago, my PB had a new HDD installed because of failure to boot with the old one. It ran fine for ~10 months, then a couple of months ago it had an episode of problems, where it ran unbelievably slowly (say 20 mins to get to the login screen, another 5 to got the login prompt, etc). But it would run OK once it had apps in memory. Seemed a very clear HDD problem again. But at that time, I had some time critical stuff to do, so I hacked my way through it as I couldn't afford the five days repairs take here. After about three days, it suddenly recovered (in the meantime, we had bought a new MacBook as backup - my wife's using it now). When I finally got to the point where I could afford to risk a full failure, and ran techtools pro on it, nothing showed - esp., no recorded SMART errors. So I decided to wait till the end of term before I took it off to the repairers. Well, that's Thursday. But in the meantime, the gremlins have reappeared. It's pretty clearly disk-related - and pretty clearly low level, because when I do an <option> reboot, it takes forever to bring up the icon of the built-in HD. However it seems a little strange, because sometimes when I do an <option> reboot, it fails to find the attached firewire drives - but when I start it again, it finds them. So that makes it look like something might be injecting noise onto the bus - except that, when I do manage to boot from one or other of the firewire drives, it runs beautifully, at normal speed.
Of course, I have also tried to check it with techtools pro. But it shows no errors - though it did hang once in the middle of the disk controller test (but stopping it and re-running it gave a green light). However I had to abort the surface scan, it clearly wasn't going to finish within my lifetime.
What happens when it starts to give problems, is I can hear it doing endlessly repeated seeks, but it eventually seems to get to read the block and goes on to the next. Then every now and then it will give a faint (and I do mean faint) squeak. It actually sounds more mechanical than electronic, though hard to be sure. So presumably something is detecting that there was some sort of hardware error. So why don't I see hard controller errors, seek errors or SMART errors in the techtools logs? Any ideas what could be the problem?
I should add that the machine has about two months of its applecare warranty left. If possible, I don't want to get (say) the HDD replaced, only to find one week after the end of warranty that it was really a motherboard problem and I'm left with a pretty paperweight... Any help in getting the right diagnosis on this would be greatly appreciated.

Well the local apple guys were very fast, my wife picked the machine up Wednesday morning, though I was a bit suspicious - I got her to boot it while I talked her through it on the phone, while she was still in the shop. It booted, but veeerrry slowly. The shop guys claimed it was normal.... When it came home and I tried to re-install my backups, it failed with hard errors. I then ran techtools on the new disk, this time it showed hard read/write/seek errors (I probably should have checked whether it was really a new drive, or whether they just reformatted). Anyway, with the printouts from techtools, there wasn't any argument about replacing the disk this time (and it's definitely new - hitachi rather than toshiba). This time, reinstallation wasn't too bad, and I'm writing this from the machine now. It still seems a little slow, but maybe that's because in the interim I've been using my wife's macbook...
Thanks for all your help. I still don't understand why none of this showed up in SMART status, but I guess I don't know enough about that.

  • Weblogic 7.0 SP1 JDBC Multipooling does not appear to fail over consistantly

We are running Weblogic Platform 7.0 SP1 on a Sun with Solaris 8 O/S
We have a connection multipool set up associated with a Data Source.
The multipool has two connection pools, each pointing to a seperate but
Identical database. The multipool is created with the high availability algorithm
    set.
both connection pools have the following settings:
    (Connections Tab) (Testing Tab)
Initial Capacity:0 Test Table Name: dual
Maximum Capacity: 20 Test Reserved Connections: Checked
    Capacity Increment: 2
    Login Delay Seconds: 2
    Refresh Period: 15
    Allow Shrinking: Checked
    Shrink Period: 15
When the first database goes down for a backup, We can see the exceptions thrown
    from the
broken acitve connections, which would be expected. But we also notice a significant
response time increase (3-7 seconds) and we notice continuing exceptions from
what appears to be the application EJB still attempting to connect to the first
instance. It is only when a DISABLE_POOL is issued using the command line interface
to disable the first pool in the multipool that the response time drops to normal
and the exceptions stop. The exceptions don't happen for every query, but we cannot
understand why the test-on-reserve doesn't seem to always work.
    Any help would be appreciated

This is known behavior of the "high availability" algorithm for multipools.
Whenever a multipool is asked for a connection, it will always try the first pool first
(unless it has been diabled). The algorithm doesn't remember that it had trouble with
the first pool and start with the second pool (e.g., put the first pool at the end of the circular list
of pools to be tried). This is the way it was designed (in my opinion, this defies the
principal of least astonishment, but not everyone agrees with me).
We are planning to add a new algorithm in the next release that does keep state.
The way it currently works, it depends on how long it takes to figure out that
the first pool is not available. This depends on the database client driver and
the network connection (it could take from 100ms to multiple seconds to minutes
    to figure it out).

  • Termination does not appear as fail sequence

    Hi,
I have I a subsequence than include some Action type step.  The step set a local variable.  Based on that variable I decide whether to continue or to terminate.
In the event of termination, the process is indeed terminated, but when I look at the report generated by TestStand, the subsequence have a Pass mark.
Is this normal?  I would have expected to see Fail or Termination....  How do I fixe this problem to show a fail sequence?
    Thanks

    Hi, Ray
Thanks for your tests. I have also tried with PostAction now. But the result is still the same.
How have you done this ?
By the way as Dug said in TS 4.0.1 it is fixed.

  • Mapping tested successfully in Simulator but fails in SXI_MONITOR

    Hi gyus,
The Outbound message structure is the following:
    MT_CAP_BANKS
    actions     1..1    xsd:string
    RECORD   0..unbounded  Segment
       Field1
       Field2
       etc
The target Inbound message structure is the structure of the JDBC receicer adapter, since the scenario is Proxy to JDBC.
    MT_DB_BANKS
    STATEMENT       1..unbounded
    DBSTATEMENT   1..1
       action
       etc
I want to have one STATEMENT per RECORD segment. But the RECORD segment may also be missing in case that we want to do massive delete of all the entris in a table. So I may have only the action field in some test cases.
    Therefore, I am mapping RECORD>mapWithDefault>STATEMENT.
Mapping is tested successfully in simulator for all cases, either many RECORD segment or no RECORD segment. Interface mapping tested successfully. However, when we are doing real tests, mapping works fine with many RECORD segments, but fails with no RECORD segments (Cannot produce target element /ns0:MT_DB_BANKS/STATEMENT. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd).
    Any ideas ?
I also tried to chang the mapping with IF RECORD EXISTS THEN STATEMENT='' ELSE RECORD-->STATEMENT but problem still remains!!

    Hi,
I'm not really sure why you are encountering this error. Have you tried any context modifications before mapping to field STATEMENT?
    Could you try this mapping?
    constant:null -----------------------------------------> \
    RECORD --> mapWithDefault:null --> equalsS:null --> ifThenElse --> STATEMENT
    constant:hasValue -------------------------------------> /
The code should perform just like the one with the mapWithDefault without the ifThenElse, but it's worth to try.
    Hope this helps,

    Hi,
Table is based on type MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY (Spatial Data Types and Metadata), Check spatial is configured on your Target database and you have privilege to access that object using your schema.

    Hi,
While doing my sandbox testing on my iPad, my free folios appear inside my Development Viewer on Newsstand on my iPad but none of the Retail Folios show up in the same Viewer even though they are published. I have submitted the viewer to Apple Connect and also submitted single issue IAP's and a subscription IAP. Anyone come across this problem before?
    Thanks

Turns out the issue was I didnt have any banking, contact and tax information setup in my iTunes Connect account. This is my first paid App so hadnt set these up before. Once I populated my account with this information, hey presto, the Public/Retail folio's appeared in my developer viewer on my iPad.
