Test same filter driver on HCK, can be selected on 32bit client machine, cannot find on 64bit client

As subject.
I'll need to test a registry filter driver that has both 32 and 64bit version. They're from the same source code, and same
compiling options except the target architecture, and both work good on target platform.
However, within HCK Studio, I can only see and select the 32bit driver from “software device” for test. When switch to a pool
of 64bit client, I cannot find the driver. Neither from “software device” nor “device manager”.
I did check the installation, fltmc, devicetree from OSR online. They all looks similar on 32bit and 64bit client.
Anyone has idea of how to do further troubleshooting? And/or information about how exactly HCK enumerate target driver? It
is surely not from file system or service.

ack... don't you hate it when your about to give up and you finally find the answer.
I copied the mysql driver into the client machines /lib/ext and now it works across the network. It functions correctly now.
Sorry about that...

    Replacement System Discs can be obtained from Apple's Customer Support - US (800) 767-2775 for a nominal fee. You'll need to have the model and serial number of your Mac available.
    If you're not in the US, you may need to go through the regional Apple Store that serves your location to find the contact number - http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/intlstoreroutingpage.html
    Or you can purchase the applications from an Apple retail outlet, App Store or the Apple online store.

    Do not delete the old account yet. sign up for an iCloud account if you haven't.
    I understand .mac mail will still come through. Do not delete the old account yet.
    You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
    iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
    On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
              •          Server name: imap.mail.me.com
              •          SSL Required: Yes
              •          Port: 993
              •          Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
              •          Password: Your iCloud password
    SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
              •          Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
              •          SSL Required: Yes
              •          Port: 587
              •          SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
              •          Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
              •          Password: Your iCloud password
    Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria:  8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers.  If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message.  Go to   http://appleid.apple.com         then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.

    I've seen all the posts for fixing the wifi on the 4s, none of them work!  So, who can tell me why my iPhone 4S cannot find any wifi when it used to find wifi, and when it does find a wifi network it can never connect?  You think apple would have a clue how to fix it!  Because turning the wifi on and off doesn't work, resorting network settings doesn't work, even restoring phone to factory default doesn't work...

    Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.

    Purchased songs in the past then recently purchasd new songs,  but the new purchases replaced all of my old purchases.  How can I retrieve my old purchases?  Cannot find them in any of my playlists.

    If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
    1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
    2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
    3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.

    How can I reactivate my phone if I cannot find the person who originally had the phone

    You can't.  You need to contact the previous owner to get those log in details - this is the new activation lock and without it you will never be able to use that phone.
    You might have to start from scratch again and buy a new phone.

  • Can I set up an external drive so it can boot either PPC or Intel machines?

    I have a LaCie external drive with Firewire 1 and 2 and USB2 interfaces. I hoped to creat bootable partitions for both architectures and boot either one using the appropriate interface. I seem to be stumped by the partitioning schemes. It appears that if I partition with GUID I can ONLY boot from, an Intel machine, and that conversely, if I partition with Apple Partition Map I CAN'T boot from an Intel machine. Is this actually the case? Is there a workaround?
    Cheers,
    Aunty

    Install Mac OS X 10.5 on a PowerPC Mac to a drive partitioned as APM. Any other configuration would be tricky or impossible to get to work.
    The resulting single system can boot up any G4, G5, or Intel Mac older than it, but won't contain the Boot Camp Assistant.

  • Can i select different OS time machine backups in the future?

    I have finally gotten Lion upgraded over snow leopard after hard drive failures, restoring from time machine a leopard os and then upgrading over it.
    now i'm ready to start backing up with time machine on the new lion drive and intend to keep the old snow leopard backups, i guess.....
    if i ever need to go back to a snow leopard backup, can i SELECT which backup i want to restore to in time machine or am i required to restore to the most recent backup in future uses of time machine. The most recent will be Lion backups as soon as i start backing up. Can I mix them in the same time machine volume? Old snow leopard ones and new lion backups?
    should i go ahead and start backing up and just take note of the date i began the new Lion OS?
    another thing -- it's weird that it seems i slide down for the opposite direction of scrolling in lion than it did in snow leopard?

    It is a Time Machine and what's the use if it can't go forward and bring back your completed work files?
    Really, I don't know why people complain so much.

  • Time Machine cannot find NAS drive since Lion install

    I've been very successfully using a Buffalo NAS drive to backup using Time Machine in Snow Leopard, but since 'upgrading' to Lion I just cannot get TM to see the NAS drive.  I can see the drive in Finder, and it's listed as a share, but each time I try a backup I receive the same message:  'The backup disk is not available'

    Not sure about Buffalo.
    I have a DroboFS NAS and had to get a firmware upgrade for it to support the changes that Apple made in Lion.

  • Can't get lvm/luks to boot - cannot find root partition

    Hi,
    I'm trying to get a dm-crypt on top of lvm to boot but without success so far. I followed http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sys … r_dm-crypt and http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … AID_or_LVM, everything works fine (I can mount the partition) but when I try to boot from it, it cannot find the crypted partition and fails.
    USELVM="yes"
    HOOKS="base udev usb usbinput lvm2 encrypt filesystems"
    root=/dev/mapper/sda2 cryptdevice=/dev/sda2:root2-lvol0 ro
    jan@jan ~/src/xf86-video-ati $ ll /dev/mapper/
    insgesamt 0
    crw-rw---- 1 root root 10, 62 21. Feb 2008 control
    brw------- 1 root disk 254, 0 21. Feb 2008 root
    brw------- 1 root disk 254, 1 21. Feb 2008 root2-lvol0
    brw------- 1 root disk 254, 2 21. Feb 2008 sda2
    /dev/mapper/root is my current encrypted / without lvm
    The boot process successfully identifies the lvm /dev/mapper/root2-lvol0 and continues with hook 'encrypt' but doesn't ask me for a passphrase but goes on to hook 'filesystems' and fails then because it can't mount the correct root-partition obviously.
    There's only /dev/mapper/root2-lvol0 and /dev/mapper/control when I'm in the rescue sh from initrd.
    Anyone got that combination to work?

  • When I filter the dataset, though column name exists I got an error Cannot find column

    In the following lines of the code
    foreach (DataRow row in meterDs.Tables[0].Rows)
                    meterChannels = string.Format("{0} = {1}", Global.MeterIdColumnName, row[Global.MeterIdColumnName].ToString());
                    DataRow[] channelRows = ChannelsDs.Tables[0].Select(meterChannels);
    In the following line
     DataRow[] channelRows = ChannelsDs.Tables[0].Select(meterChannels);
    I got an error Cannot find column [Mtr_T1]
    In the debug mode run time values are:
    ? row[Global.MeterIdColumnName].ToString()
    "Mtr_T1"
    ? meterChannels
    "MeterId = Mtr_T1"
    ? Global.MeterIdColumnName
    "MeterId"
    Any clue?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    The line
    DataRow[] channelRows = ChannelsDs.Tables[0].Select(meterChannels);
    is trying to filter the data table where the Column value of MeterID equals the values in Column MTR_T1, if you do not have the MTR_T1 column in the ChannelDS.Tables[0] you will get the error.

  • I can't select Options in Time Machine

    Time Machine no longer works for me. Apparently the volume of stuff it wants to back up is too large for the partition devoted to it (on an external hard drive). But I can't choose the exclude anything because the Options button in Time Machine Prefs is greyed out. I've deleted the TimeMachine .plist file, and restarted, but no go. And I haven't found anything to help either here or on the larger web -- surely this can't be *that* uncommon a problem!?!
    Any suggestions? Thanks,
    Chris Jones

    I've come across the exact same problem where I can't get time machine to backup.  It's telling me I don't have enough space.  I tried to make changes to the backups, but the options and select disk options aren't actual buttones now, just text.  Even the on and off button is missing I only see text.
    I don't understand what the MCX settings did to fix it?
    Any thoughts?  Has anybody come across this issue?

  • Time Machine: Cannot find backup (external hard drive)

    Hello and thank you in advance for your help.
    I have a MacBook Pro and am running OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). I use TM to back up to a 500 GB LaCIe external hard drive, which has worked fine for over a year of ~monthly back-ups. The back-up porcess typically takes some time, but less than an hour or so. While backing up this week, it just halted....and was still backing up 24 hours later. I quit the back-up, dismounted and remounted the LaCie, tried again, but it still got stuck in the backup process overnight. After searching the forums, I used the disk utility to re-partition the LaCie to ensure it had only one partition. When I re-started TIme Machine, I got the message "Your Time Machine backup disk can't be found." It shows up in finder, but when I tried to find it in the TM Preferences, it's not there, so I cannot select it. I dismounted the LaCie, rebooted, and remounted the LaCie, but that didn't fix anything. Help, please?

    Part 1 of my problem is fixed. I decided to run the disk repair and then re-do the partiton process, but this time, I kept the default name assigned to the partition by disk utility ("Untilted-1"). Now TM sees it, and is backing up. Part 2 remains to be seen. I expect it will take 24+ hours anyway, BC I reformatted the LaCie, and this is essentailly the first backup on a re-formatted hard drive.
