Test-SPContentDatabase gives me configuration message even though I have tried classic and claims web app creation?

I have a web application in SharePoint 2010 called DEreports. I have run command to create Classic Web App in 2013.
New-SPWebApplication -Name $WebAppDisplayName -Port 80 -HostHeader $WebAppRealName -URL "http://$WebAppRealName" -ApplicationPool "SharePoint - $WebAppRealName" -ApplicationPoolAccount (Get-SPManagedAccount
"<our domain>\AppPoolUAT") -AuthenticationMethod "Kerberos"
After run of Test-SPContentDatabase I get message:

False
False
The [Dereports] web application is configured with windows
classic authentication mode however the content database you
are trying to attach is intended to be used against a claims
authentication mode.
There is an inconsistency between the authentication mode of
target web application and the source web application.
Ensure that the authentication mode setting in upgraded web
application is the same as what you had in previous
SharePoint 2010 web application. Refer to the link

information.
However, if I try creating a claims web application and run Test-SpContentDatabase I get message:

Create new web application with classic mode as mentioned in next step
New-SPWebApplication -Name <Name of WebApp> -ApplicationPool <AppPool Name> -AuthenticationMethod NTLM -DatabaseName <Name old Database> -Databaseserver
<ServerName> -HostHeader <Host Header for web app> -Port 80 -URL <URL for site>
remove the DB from central admin
run this command
Mount-SPContentDatabase
–Name ContentDbName -DatabaseServer "<DbServer>" -WebApplication
http://SiteName
then convert to claims
Convert-spwebapplication -identity http://site -to Claims -RetainPermissions

When you sync using iTunes on your computer, do you see a lot of "Other" at the bottom of the iTunes Summary Page for your iPhone? If you do, try a "Restore iPhone ...". That should help.
Hopefully that would do it for you. If not, the next (more drastic) step would be to restore again as above, but choose "Restore as New" and then manually sync. Omit any apps that might be suspcious in their space use (primarily Game Center apps).

Error 9006 when restoring your iOS device indicates that there is security software on your computer which is preventing connection to the Apple server or your device. To troubleshoot this issue please follow the directions below.

Try trashing the .plist with CharacterViewer in its name in Home/Library/Preferences. To get to Home/Library you may need to hold the option key down while you do Finder > Go.

Even though I have repaired, deinstalled and reinstalled itunes, the assitent still tells me that I can't burn or import music due to an incomplete installation... I have been using itunes for years now and never had a problem...who can help??? thx

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?

My Firefox cannot display non-English characters, even though I have tried every language encoding I have!

I am a big fan of Japanese songs and websites, so I was very disappointed when I saw that Firefox could not handle any non-English characters. I have tried every encoding I can, but none work and I just see boxes with numbers and letters inside. Atv2 keeps dropping the connection to i tunes. I get a message telling me to open home sharing even though i have done so and i tunes is open on my iMac. This is not a new problem but it has gotten worse progressively

Thanks for the reply and the analogy, one can overlook the fact that it could be something other than the device that is the cause of the problem and i realise that, however frustration can creep in and cause one to overlook obvious things. I have spoken to my ISP and we have examined a number things, firstly my download speed on wireless which is a healthy 16mbps. Next the channels being used around me, which were numbers one, six and eleven, and we changed my channel to three. It would appear that those using eleven are mobile users with no fixed landline. I do not have any electrical devices anywhere near the ATV except for the TV itself, a DVD recorder and a PC computer only rrecently set up there and after the problems started anyway. I have removed the PC entirely from the room and it has no effect on the situation with the ATV. In the same room but some distance from the ATV, a lamp and the telephone base station, which has to be close to the socket which is in the same room as the TV and the ATV of course. The problem continues. I have actually tried connecting ATV by ethernet to the router, and last night that worked, today however it refuses to do anything at all.
At this moment in time i have the computer connected via ethernet cable, though it connects by wireless perfectly. I have the ATV connected vis ethernet, and it fails to connect to iTunes at all.
Overall i have stripped the thing down to its basics and started from scratch again more than once. I am not particularly clever, nor am i stupid. For me all i really want is to be able to plug this stuff in and have it do what it says on the tin. So far i have spent a great deal of time trying to figure out what is wrong with ATV, a device that cost £99 plus a few months ago, purchased 17th March this year, and i, like everyone else i suspect, have better things to do with my time. If you have any advice, help or suggestions i would be most grateful. Please do not think that my tone is in any way a criticism of you personally, its just a very frustrating experience.

My family uses a single lap-top as our home computer and several of us have i-pods that we like to synch, using I-tunes. Although we've tried to create separate I-tune accounts, our i-tunes playlists are getting wiped out when one of us deletes songs on our I-pod and it seems as though I-tunes is not distinguishing our distinct accounts and all i-pods are being synched to reflect the latest i-pod anyone makes on their respective account. It appears as though our distinct I-tune accounts are not being loaded on our lap-top when we sign in and unfortunately, when we're in I-tunes, there is nothing to indicate what account is on the screen. For all the glowing appraisals apple-related products usually receive, we are finding i-tunes and its interface with our respective i-pods to be a very, very frustrating experience.
Can anyone shed some light on this for a family of non-techies? Thx

You need to create separate Windows user accounts if you want to seperate the behaviour of iTunes for each user. That also means separate iTunes libraries for each user.
Windows is a multi-user operating system but you are not using it properly. iTunes is not a multi-user application. No application is. You can't expect it to treat different users differently when they are all using the same computer user account.
Do you understand what I mean?

Why is my Apple ID only valid for the Apple store in one country (Ireland) even though I have moved to and live in the USA?

I have moved from Ireland to the USA and now (legally) live in Seattle. When I try to login to the iTunes store here in the USA, I get a message telling me that my Apple ID is only valid for purchases from the Ireland iTunes store. What moron put in a restriction like that? Apple is now telling me that although I can legally move from one country to another and take up residence, I can not travel globally with my Apple ID? What use is having an Apple ID then as I can travel and buy globally with Amazon?

Do NOT create another ID. Change the country of your present ID.

Realize, however, just as you can no longer visit your old public library in Ireland you also no longer have access to the store or your purchases made there. You can continue to use them as they are on your computer now but that makes it all the more important you maintain backups in case of loss. If you upgrade an app I think you will have to pay for it again since you no longer have access to the Irish Store.

Firefox keeps asking me what program to use to open file types even though I have selected one and checked "do this for all files of this type" going foward

I am working in Windows and every time I open an attachment, Firefox asks what program to use to open files of this type. I always select the proper program and then check the box that says use this program for all future files of this type. In spite of that, the program continues to ask for every file. How do I turn off this feature and just have the program remember the correct program to use for each type of file extension?

Font too small on all web pages, including e-mail even though I have tried to make it larger in options on tools menu.

This seems to have happened after I received the update to 3.6.10. I have also had a variety of updates from Microsoft lately.
I also have my font set extra large in the display area of the control panel in Windows XP and the tool bars of Firefox are in the size, no change there, only in web pages and e-mail.
