Test the form

Dear Experts,
Kindly provide the answer for the following question?
How do you test the form you developed?
Regards
R.Rajendran

Hai Rajendran,
Forms are tested by run its driver programs basically.Even If you don't exactly the driver program, you test the smart form and adobe forms by test it by providing appropriate values in runtime environment.
For sap script programs, even you don't know the driver program, Go to form editor using SE71,
-> Go to  Form menu icon
-> Select Check submenu item ,
        -> select Text ,click Enter
It shows the driver program, then run it  to test the script form.
If it useful, reward points.

Is it possible for anyone other than the author of the form to test the form?  If I share the form can I then go back and edit it before finally sending it public?

Other co-authors can test the form. You can edit the form at any time.
This FAQ explains how to share:

  • Error while testing the form

    Hi,
I am getting the following error while testing the Webform "ref: 10OZcTRWdS2gJf9A1t0bQ, AccessControlViolation"
    An error has occurred.
The form does not exist. Please re-enter the web address as the link may be misspelled.
    [ref: 10OZcTRWdS2gJf9A1t0bQ, AccessControlViolation]
    Kindly help.

Did you try to test again? The error happens sometimes when the new forms has just been created and FormsCentral hasn't saved the form yet. Please let me know if you have created some contents in the form and you still cannot test it.
    Thanks,
    Wenlan

  • Why can't I test the form?

I just made a form in FormsCentral and now I want to test it. When I go to Testing and then click on "look how users see the form", nothing happens. What is going wrong?

What browser are you using?  It may be possible that your browser is set up to block pop-up windows/tabs.

  • Help me testing the forms

I have successfully migrated 100+ forms and 3 menus(mmb) files to 10g and now, I want to test them. So how do I do that in 10g?

    Hi Craig,
I have the forms in 6i version. Now when I'm migrating them to 10g, in some of the procedures that are in program unit has BLOCK_MENU in the versy first line.
But according to [Forms migrations 6i to 10g document|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25016_02/doc/dl/web/B15572_01/builtins.htm#sthref144], BLOCK_MENU has No migration path or replacement functionality.
So now i'm just commenting those lines. Is that correct way of doing? Or do I need to put any other thing??

  • FRM-92101- There is a failure in the form server during startup.

    Hi,
I'm deploying a forms 10g application . I'm using Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services 10.1.2.0.2 under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, along with an Oracle 10g Database on another server. Every time I try testing the form services using http://10.0.4.114:7778/forms/frmservlet it brings out the errorFRM-92101- There is a failure in the form server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web server log file for detail
Right now, I'm a bit lost. Can anyone please tell me if there is some parameter I have to set, or something I should do to make it work?
    Thanks a lot

    Fabian,
I did not make changes to those files. The forms services are working on another server with Red hat Rel 4 and 3 . What I did is to configure a new server with Red Hat Rel 5 , took the backup of all the forms binaries and the HOME and restore on the new server. I did the same thing for a server running rel 4 and it has no issue:
The content of the files are as below:
    DEFAULT.ENV*
    # $Id: default.env 26-apr-2005.16:59:08 sujain Exp $
    # default.env - default Forms environment file, Solaris version

    # If a parameter is not defined here, the value used will be that defined

    # NOTES
    # 1/ The Forms installation process should replace all occurrences of
    # <percent>FORMS_ORACLE_HOME<percent> with the correct ORACLE_HOME

    # - Reports needs the path for libjava.so

    # - Forms needs two paths to the jre, for libjvm.so and libhpi.so
    # - In JDK 1.4.1 the location of libjvm.so is lib/sparc (there is no
    # classic directory) so we do not include the .../classic directory
    # below. There are other versions of libjvm.so (in directories server,

  • Testing Interactive Form Logon Displays Odd Color Scheme

For over a year we have been using this one interactive form.  The color scheme, when logging into this form, has changed. The developer who created the form has made no changes, and I do not know of any changes on the Basis side that would cause this.
When I test the form from SICF, the initial logon screen has a black background and the logon window where we enter the username and password is outlined in blue. Once I log into the form, it displays properly. Any ideas on what may be causing this form to display in this odd manner?
I know it is just the colors and the form itself still works, but some endusers find it hard to read the logon screen when it displays like this.
    Thanks,

    Goto transaction SICF.
Under default_host>sap>bc>webdynpro>sap>(name of interactive form) - double click on the form
Select Error Pages Tab, within the Create/Change Service window that is now open. Switch to change mode, and Scroll down the page to select the configuration button.
This opens the System Logon Configuration Window and under Logon Layout and Procedures you will see two options. SAP Implementation and User-Specific. SAP Imlpementation has a Tmpl (Template) and SAP ICON selection. User-Specifc has a class your developer would have created. You select which option and settings for that option you want. Then select the adjust Links and Images. When I made these changes, it asked me for a transport.
Once you have applied the changes, created the transport and saved everything. You will now be able to run a test of the form from SICF to see what the new logon layout looks like. You just transport the change through the rest of your systems.

  • Newbie question - testing interactive forms

    Hi,
I've created an interactive form in SFP successfully and I want to test it.
When I click on the test button it allows me to run the generated function module.
When I run that function module it asks me for a printer but I don't want to print the form, I just want to open the PDF file and enter data.
BTW - if I do specify a printer then doesn't even print as it says the printer is not suitable for ADS documents.
    Thanks,
    Tristan

    Hi Tristan,
When you test the FORM using SFP then you can only display the Adobe form. When you execute the FM, a window appears asking you to key in Printer name, then check out PRINT PREVIEW option for displaying Adobe form.
And BTW,If you want to capture data using Adobe form, you require to attach this Adobe form to Web Dynpro ABAP. This will make the form to be interactive.
Check this exercice to get to understand more on Adobe Interactive forms.

  • Creating a test using the form wizard

I need to create a multipart test that will be used for editors applying for jobs. Part of the test will be a multiple choice spelling test, with 20 questions. I created the file in Word and am trying to use the form wizard to create check box fields. It looks like this:
    1.
    initative
    intiative
    initiative
    enitiative
I want the blanks to the left of each word to be a check box field or a radio button.
When I created the pdf form and saved it, I found that when I checked any one of the boxes, all four check box fields were automatically filled in. I know I'm doing something wrong, but can't figure out what.
Do these forms have to be created in one session? Or can I save the form, close it and then contune editing the form fields later?
I am using Acrobat Pro 9.5
Any advice anyone can provide would be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    dg

I have gotten the hang of creating check boxes and radio buttons so that they behave the way I need them to behave. Thanks for the help on that.
I create these tests 2X per year and each test is to be used at least 500 times.
Here's my next apparent dilemma: I am creating this test in Acrobat Pro 9.5. The test takers are in three different cities in India. They use Reader X.
When I "distributed" a test of the only section I have completed to myself I discovered all of the distribution mechanisms (saving to a network folder, distributing via email, etc.). All of these options are far too complicated for my users.
Isn't there a way to create a form in Pro 9.5 that can just be saved with Reader X enabled so that anyone who opens the file in Reader X can just "save as" and have their filled-in data saved? I must emphasize that the saving process must be as simple as possible.
I need to keep this as simple as possible because I distribute these tests once and they are used over and over and the completed tests are collected by HR people who are not tech savvy at all. They are emailed to me from the three diffferent locations.
Previously I used Word but frankly there were two many ways people could cheat: That's why I want to switch to Acrobat forms. But this is looking like it's not going to work.
    Perhaps I am missing something?

There should be default entry like
    127.0.0.1       localhost.
Make an entry below that with your ip address and the hostname.   Reward some points pls.

There are various was to return a filled-in PDF form but many require some detailed information about what product the person filling in the form will be using.
As noted above the form can be filled out and faxed or snail mailed to you.
Since Acrobat 3 the form could be submitted to a scripted web page and have the web server perform the tasks necessary to return the data to you.
Since Acrobat 6 the creator could add special "Extended Form Rights" to the form so users with Reader version 5 or better could save the form and email the form.
For mobile devices the app the user will be using will determine how or if the form can be returned.
Do not allow users to use Apple's Preview application on the Macintosh. It will corrupt the form in many ways.

I don't know how to start up with the installation further., Is there any document available for the installation process inubuntu.. or what are the steps that i need to follow to make it work..?
    Many thanks in advance...

    Hi,
Here's the Forms and Reports Services Deployment Guide for OAS 10g 10.1.2:
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_11/web.1012/b14032/toc.htm
You will need to modify your default.env to point to the directory where your .fmx is located and formsweb.cfg to run the specific form, e.g. foo.fmx (default is test.fmx).

    Jim
