This Site Needs A Lot Of Work

I have just spent over an hour trying to post a question to the support forum and have been unable to do so. I get an error telling me to correct the highlighted errors and try again. THERE ARE NO HIGHLIGHTED ERRORS. It is just a simple post with a subject line and body text. The error message doesn't tell me anything helpfull and I was unable to post my problem.
I've noticed a couple of other annoying things about this site too. For one thing, I log onto the HP web site and when I go to the forums I find that I have to log on again. What's with that?
Then I have to really look around to find out how to post a question. I get the feeling that you would rather people didn't post questions to the forum because you've done a good job of hiding the links to post a question. A user really has to search for it. And then you wind up getting an error and can't post anyway.
So guess I'm going to have to call HP supprt rather than trying to solve my problem through your web site.
This site has a TERRIBLE user interface.

Can someone check test this site to check if the video is Airplay compatible?

I have a video hosted at http://mgohtml5.appspot.com, which should be Airplay compatible now that Sublime Video has updated their javascript html5 video player to include Airplay support. (Previously, only the audio would stream. For whatever reason, the video wouldn't stream to the AppleTV)
Problem is I'm out of town and can't check the updated code.
If anyone with an iOS 4.3 device and an Apple TV 2 could check this out for me, I'd appreciate it.

This Site Needs Work

A few Comments
1. I entered every weird combination to replace the user8846 whatever for my account and everyone was in use... I find that hard to believe.
2. This is about the slowest web site on the entire internet. Every bit of it is painfully slow.
3. What ever happened to the Knowlege Base for primavera???????? Did they just wipe it out?????
I hope this website is not an indication of things to come for us Primavera Users....

This Site Needs IE 6-7, Anyway Around It?

Hi, I was hoping to be able to listen to college football games via the internet at CSTV:

Though there are currently no solutions for viewing All Access in OS X, Apple has released a public beta of "Boot Camp" which is built to more easily allow Mac users to install and run Windows XP on an Intel-based Apple computer. Apple will include this technology standard in their soon to be released OS X, Leopard. For right now, this software can be downloaded through the following link provided by Apple.

Once you have installed Boot Camp and Windows XP, Service Pack 2 you will be able to view All Access content on a Macintosh if you are booted up using the Windows XP platform.
I'd suggest you contact them and complain about their lack of support for Mac users.

If the thief enabled activation lock on the device, then there is nothing that can be done. Only the password for the Apple ID that it is locked with can disable activation lock.

I keep getting an error message that says "You need cookies to login to this site. Please enable cookies." I checked cookies and they're enabled. I went through and did what it said to fix errors like this and it still says that. How can I fix this?

I have the exact same problem! With just one website. It's when I have a second account on it. I can sign in with my original (old) account, but not with my new account that I wish to sign in on. I've talked to a lot of people members of the website who have second accounts and this doesn't happen with them, it's only with my firefox. Need a Driver for a New HP Laptop. Driver is Not Available on This Site.

A customer of mine just bought two new HP Pavilion Dv7-1135nr. For some reason they each have different DVD drives. One works. The other one, says its DVD drive needs a driver. It has Vista, so I tried to update the driver via the web, and that didn't work. Then I came to this site to find it on the laptop's product page, and it's not there. Does anyone know where I could track this driver down?
Again, the computer is an HP Pavilion Dv7-1135nr. The drive in question is called: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA I 50L ATA Device.
(As I said, the other, seemingly identical computer which has the exact same model number has a different drive. That drive is called: TS-L6332. It will not work in the computer that is having problems.)

That sounds extremely phishy to me... iTunes does not require authentication simply to launch it. I suspect you've got something nasty intercepting network traffic. That server may be set up to log the Apple ID that you enter so it can be used fraudulently. Try ComboFix from Bleeping Computer.
FWIW the domain mellor.co is registered to an accountants in Knutsford, Cheshire, UK, and produces the same authentication request if visited with a browser. There is no sign of a "real" publicly visible website at that domain which is a somewhat odd.

Need to go back to iTunes 10.4, can't find it on this site.

Hello I am using a NAS storage device to access my music in iTunes on my Macbook Pro. At one time it worked fine & now when I select the server in the "Shared" list and login, the top activity view reads "Loading 'NAS server name' " though it does not load after any period of time. It is an issue that many people using NAS servers are experiencing, not just this particular brand I am using.
When I went to a support forum, a tech employed by the hardware provider said the problem is with iTunes 10.5. The changes Mac made this time were significant enough to create issues of compatability when loading content from NAS devices using an iTunes Server feature. The moderator advised switching back to iTunes 10.4 and not upgrading until the issue can be resolved. I need to go back to the old version of Itunes 10.4 because I can no longer listen to music with it.
Does anyone know where on the Apple site I can find a link to download this version so I can use iTunes again?
Are there any other ways that I do not currently understand that will allow me to access the content on the NAS server though iTunes?

How do I show visitors w/o Java "You need java script enabled to view this site" ?

I use Firefox as my browser and through the use of NoScript generally do not have Java Scripting active. Although I can often tell just by the behavior of a page I visit that I need to enable some Javascripts, I often get a clear message from the website itself - something like "we see that you do not have Java script enabled, please do so" or perhaps "without Javascript you cannot view this site properly."
Now, I can just put a general message on the "splash page" saying "this website requires Java script to be enabled" for every visitor to see, but I would rather have the message just for those that need to see it because Java script is disabled. How do I do that?

BUT - I have discovered the following: dropping the "noscript text on the page to create an HTML object works and the "your browser. . ." text appears when Javascript is turned off, and just where I want it !
Now I just have to teach myself enough coding that I can set the text size and color and I'll drop this baby on every page. Whoopee!

How was this site made. Need HELP!

Hi everyone
It's the first time I post here, so I hope some will understand my problem.
I recently came upon this site http://weightshift.com and loved how they had made it dynamic or I think liquid. No mater how much it is scaled it looks great. It can be viewed on an iPhone, perfectly fitting the screen. Also when the site is scaled down and reaches a certain size, the logo jumps above the Contact and about buttons.
I am currently studying at TAFE for Cert. IV and my dreamweaver teacher has no clue. So I have to figure it out by myself.
Does anyone have any clue how this could be achieved. Any help will be appreciated.

No surprise your teacher doesnt get it. when I did the cert IV the 30 html tutorials we did revolved around how great table based layouts are. suffice to say I didnt listen to that rubbish, and unfortunately the curriculum is just a wee bit behind where it really should be.
what you are looking at is responsive design.
you wont get any real relevant information regarding this at w3schools, its more for basics.
it utilises media queries.

yes technically you can use the dw fluid grid layout, but i'd advise that you learn the process behind how to style accordingly with media queries before using someones already setup concept of how to do it. (and I've never done a site with just 3 media queries, sorry dreamweaver, thats just wrong.) I personally utilise (and each to their own with this) a min 320+ style, a 320-480 (or therabouts), 480-767 (or therabouts) (3x) 768-1024 (landscape, portrait and for desktops), 1025-1300 (or therabouts), 1301-1440 (or therabouts) and a 1440+. I always start mobile first
essentially the theory is to design your "design" flexible and where it "breaks" add a breakpoint. I try to make it not necessarily based on the device in theory but with the majority of phones sitting around the 320/640 mark, tablets around the 768/1024 mark. then laptops, desktops, and larger screens all seeming to congregate loosely around these higher figures...once youve set your parameters (and the above would cover the majority of devices) test, test, test!!!!
remember good ol' IE will struggle with this. there are many work arounds, some better than other. I usually just offer a fixed width site for IE.
