  • Testcases for BI reports.

    Hi,
I need some inputs on writing testcases for the BI reports. what are the functional, technical and data validation aspects to be considered for preparing testcases for a report.  Kindly help me.
    regards,
    Kavya

    Hi
    Functional Validations
    1) Create some records in source system (R/3 or CRM)
    2) Load data into BW system
    3) Execute the Reports and Drill Down each field in report and compare with the source system data
    Report Validations
    1) Graphical Display
    2) Information Broadcasting
    3) Create Views,Book Marks and Documents and save.reopen queries and validate the saved views and bookmarks
    4) Remove Fileds from drill down and check whether the result rows are stll same.

  • How to write  testcases for a project which has been already developed

    Hi all,
I am new to flex unit , whether i need to write testcase for all the classes in the project or i need to write according  code flow of the project. I got confused .. help me guys ....
    Thanks
    karthy

You can create item inside your LOV region, set the item style to formValue. You can associate this to a View Object field. It can also act as mirror of any other text input field.
FormValue can hold the value and will not be diaplyed to user. You can read value from it controller
    example
    OAFormValueBean orgValue = (OAFormValueBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("OrgIdFormVal");
Or you can read it fro the VO associated with this form value.

  • The concept of EP7.0 for BW7.0 (NOT EP6.0)

I'm new to SAP EP , having 5 years of experience in BW and SEM.
Now I'm join NW04s(BW7.0) RumpUp project as BW implementer.
In NW04s, EP is inevitable for BW,
BW reports are saved and refered via EP role and i-view.
I think BW implementer will need to set up EP role and i-view, other settings on EP.
So, I want to know the concept of EP7.0 for BW7.0 in practice.
Especially, BW report distribution and authorization, user view creation, end user interface.
    So kindly give your suggestion.

    Kanoko,
What do you want to configure in relation to SEM?
    Stakeholder Relationship Management?
    Business Planning and Simulation?

    Hello,
I am still looking into this, but upon closer examination here is the situation, basically as reported.
The test calls set_thread_count which sizes the memory. In __env_attach(), (dbenv->thr_max is used to size the region. So you are correct, the higher the value used in set_thread_count, the larger the size of the region will be. Eventually that memory will be depleted, and __env_alloc_size() returns ENOMEM, after multiple calls to system(db_stat). __env_alloc_free() is not called. This is the part I am still investigating.
The test uses system to fork a separate processes for db_stat and the failing stack is:
    lt-db_stat: assert failure: ../dist/../env/env_failchk.c/426: "ret == 0"
    lt-db_stat: __os_stack+0x2b
    lt-db_stat: __os_abort+0x1d
    lt-db_stat: __db_assert+0x47
    lt-db_stat: __env_set_state+0x53c
    lt-db_stat: __env_attach_regions+0x38b
    lt-db_stat: __env_open+0x154
    lt-db_stat: __env_open_pp+0x334
    lt-db_stat: lt-db_stat
So db_stat is opening an environment, attaching to its region, and then __env_set_state() calls __env_alloc(). It is __env_alloc() which fails with ENOMEM after some point when there is no more space to be allocated from the shared region. And I'm still looking into that space would be returned to the shared region.
    Thanks,
    Sandra

  • Question: Can Jco RFC Provider registers Program Id for BW7.3

    Hello, Friends
I encounter the following issue and I wonder whether it is supported by Netweaver product. Please help answer.
My scenario is to create RFC (TCP/IP Connection) in ABAP server with program id registered by Jco RFC Provider (Visual Admin of NW7.02 Java)
If my ABAP BW NW server is 7.02 version, RFC can be tested successfully. However, for this time, I worked on another ABAP BW NW 7.3 Server and I create the RFC(TCP/IP Connection) with program id registered by Jco RFC Provider. As a
result, the RFC cannot find the program id registered by Jco NW 7.02 Java.  Does Netweaver support ABAP 7.3 RFC with Program id registered by Nw 7.02 java Jco RFC provider?
    Thanks a lot!
    Welkin

    Hi, Ejersbo
If you are using 7.3 portal, you can refer to the following on how to register Jco RFC provider on 7.3 Java:
    (1) Open http://<server>:<port>/nwa
    (2) Search for "Jco RFC destinations", open "Jco RFC destinations"
    (3) Create a Jco RFC destination, with program id in the same name as the one which is used in your ABAP RFC in SM59

  • Good testcase for HP Smart Printing

When trying to print http://models2014.webs.upv.es/schedule.htm without Smart Printing, only one table shows, and all other pages are empty.
But also Smart Printing has issues with this page, not being able to print some of the text below the second table.
With some difficulty, you can select all that text, but it only prints till about "Session 9" and leaves two pages empty.
Although I acknowledge that this webpage is built quite strangely (absolute positioning of items throughout the page), I think it can be a good test case for the Smart Printing team.
In case it is relevant: Smart Print v2.6, IE 11, W7x64.

    Hi Johan,
I understand you are submitting this page as a test case, and I do appreciate that!  I do wonder if you have tried to use HP Smart Print in Google Chrome on this page?  Technically, HP Smart Print is only supported in IE 9 and 10, and Google Chrome - with Chrome being the browser for support going forward (at least, that's what I've heard).  Just wondering if you would get better results using Chrome.  Just a thought.
    Thanks!

  • Broadcaster Settings in BW7.0 WebTemplates

    Hello experts,
my customer uses an individual copy of the standard program RSRD_BROADCAST_STARTER for mass publishing of web reports within Information Broadcasting. This individual copy manipulates the entries in the table RSRD_SETT_NODE_A ; variable values in the settings (written in RSRD_SETT_NODE_A) are replaced by entries coming from a control table (containing user names and their indiviual variable values).
For WebTemplates created with BW7.0 (Nw2004s) the format of the variable string in table RSRD_SETT_NODE_A has changed. Where a variable string in BW 3.5 followed the format &<variable_name1>&<variable_name2>&<..>&<variable_value1>&<..> the variable definition in BW7.0 Web Templates is implemented as a XML string.
Now in case of my customer's application it is not that easy to replace the variable values in the XML coding.
Does anybody use the RSRD_SETT_NODE_A in a similar way as my customer and has found a solution for BW7.0-WebTemplates ?
    Thank you.
    Holger Engelking

    Hello Peter,
thank you for your advise. You cannot know that, but in our case one user can have more than one assignment of variable values (e.g. more than one cost center), so it is not possible to derive ONE variable value from a user name. Unfortunately this does not solve my problem.
    Best regards,
    Holger
PS: are you sure that I would be able to derive my variable values from the sy-uname. I would expect this to be the user who executes the job (Broadcast administration background user).

  • Landscpae for BI7.0

    Friends,
Need your advise urgently. Please help us with ur suggestions.
We have installed SAP Netweaver 2004s in Dev server.
Currently we are planning to create three clients in that server and do the client copy.
    client 222 for Dev
    client 333 for Sandbox
    client 444 for QA
Is that possible to have three clients for BW7.0 in same Server?.or we need to have different servers for Dev,Sandbox and QA?
Please advise the right landscape for Netweaver 2004s..

  • Copy testcases in eManager Enterprise v. 8.20.0555

I have to copy testcases for different test partners.
    e.g. 50 Testcases
Testpartner 1 needs 10 of them
Testpartner 2 needs all of them
Testpartner 20 needs 17 of them
My intention was to import the 50 testcases and then to copy them with a separate field " Partner". But: the possibility to copy all the 50 cases (or less) seems not possible.
My function is Testmanager business - so I don´t have SQL-Access or -knowledge....

The only way to copy multiple tests at one time is to put them underneath a test of type "Test Folder"
One way to do it would be to create a temporary Test Folder and put all 50 test cases underneath it
Copy the test folder and paste it. Assign all of those newly copied tests to correct test partner.
Do the same for the other test partners - creating temporary test folders, copying the test folder and assign the newly copied tests to the proper person.
