Testing Career: Is there any SAP career growth???

Dear SAP Experts,
I am SAP SD Certified fresher, completed certification in Oct.2013.
I joined one of the reputed MNC in June 2014.I was happy thinking that I got entry in SAP but soon my happiness converted into sorrowness because after spending 40 days in the company I got testing project.
In this project my responsibility is to take care testing part.Client is rolling out SAP regionwise and outsourced testing part to my company but there is not much exposure to SAP.
Now there are numerous questions in my mind:
1) Shall I continue this role or search a new job(but getting new job would very tough as I am fresher)?
2) Is this testing project affect my SAP career?
3) Going forward what are different things I should learn so that I will get good hike after 2 yrs if I continue this role.
4) Shall I join any institute which will give me insight about support or implementation project so that I can show in next intw(after 2 yrs) even if I worked in testing project i know process of implementation or I know the types of tickets and all other stuff

This is sad part but I don't want to demotivate you more as this is your first job in SAP career.
"Which road you take that will lead your growth". The problem is if you are starting as testing career then you will move on to same testing roles and will not get any SD implementation or support opportunity. Just ask them, would you able to be part of Support or Implementation project.
Positive side: Sometimes if your project likes you, then you will move into SAP implementation project down the line, due to increasing demand of skills in your project. I have seen many people in the past and recently projects recruited as testing guy then moved into functional roles on implementation.
Testing may be ok in the beginning but do not stay longer because your profile not worthy in future. Look for better opportunity if they ask you stay more than 6 or 1 year in same testing roles.
Career Path for Testing - Test Analyst, Senior Test Analyst -> Testing Manager -> Testing Director
Career Path for Functional Consultant - Functional Consultant -> Senior Functional Consultant -> Functional Lead -> Solution Architect or Project Manager -> Programme Manager

You can also use the LimitLoader step to load your string into to step similar to the Numeric Step type.
There should be an example of this in the Resource Library | TestStand

Is there any SAP tool to run reports on different report server versions

Hi,
I have to run crystal reports on different report server versions. This is a repetition of the tasks as it requires installation of report servers and executing reports on both. Is there any SAP reporting tool which simplifies all these tasks , runs the report at the same time on different report servers and gives output for both executions?

I have to run a single CR report on different versions of CR report server for validating if the report runs correctly.
So can be it done like a scheduler which then generates report result files.

Is there any SAP substitute role to create expense report for executives?

Hello,
In an organization there are executives like MD, CEO and they need to submit their expenses. This activity is basically needs to be done by their secretary (substitute). So is there any SAP provided roles to do this activity?
I have seen SAP_FI_TV_WEB_ASSISTANT used for My Employees/POWL. Apart from this role do we have any other way for executives?

You can create travel request from PR05 from ECC or if you have ESS and you want administrators to create on behalf of others provide the below role and you can create from My Employees or you can customize a role specific for administrators using structural authorizations.

Personal Management -> Personal Administration -> Customizing Procedures -> Infotypes -> Assign infotypes to countries
If the Country-Dependent Subtypes indicator is set for the infotype in view T777D Infotypes - Dialog/Database Assignment, you can also specify the permissibility of Subtypes for country infotypes.
At the moment, this indicator can only be used for infotypes whose subtypes are defined in the Subtype Characteristics view (V_T591A).
Examples:
Itype Itype text   Type Descript.   Cntgrp   Descript.    Status
0006 Addresses    J2 Guarantor      22       Japan       permitted
0012 Tax Data D    * all subtypes    01      Germany      permitted
There is no entry for the Personal Data infotype (0002). This means the infotype is permitted for all country groupings.
In the Addresses infotype (0006), the subtype Guarantor (J2) is only allowed for Japan. All other subtypes are permitted for all country groupings.
The Tax Data D (0012) infotype is only permitted for country grouping Germany. Other countries cannot access this infotype.

No. Also a note that these tables store data in a different way. Meaning that if say for a material , period and plant combination (primary keys of tables) the value of stock has not changed then there will be no entry in these history tables. So usually you would need to write a Function module to read these tables and populate values accordingly for BW reports to make sense.

We are trying to incorporate existing SAP CRM environment with iPad 2 to be used as a "MOBILE WORKFORE MANAGEMENT" MWM PDA hand held device.

2) If provided, should I get any evalution/trial version? where should I download it ?

Getting a developer edition for SUP is something that you would need to get some help with from someone within your team that has good relations to SAP. There is a limited time (30 days) personal developer edition, an enterprise developer edition that comes with a price and support from Sybase (around 2000$) plus the enterprise deployment version that has no fixed price to my knowledge (licenced pr user I believe) but that is for deployment and production type of use.

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to know which module of SAP (if exists) can manage the organization of an event.
For example, a beverage company which wants to invite its clients to a trade show, so it needs to plan and order all the equipment required, beverages, stage, music, staff, etc etc etc. Besides the company needs to know if the event was profitable after all.
Does any one have any idea??

SAP CRM has Trade Promotion Management (TPM) integrated into campaign automation. Which does some of activities you have mentioned.

How do remove commitment value in the PO ? any SAP note avl?

Project (WBS)releated service PO (Account assignment category P and Item category D), in which SES,GR,IR have been completed for entire Project services for the year 2005,PO history also updatd for SES, GR,IR in the 2005 only.But Now system is showing still commitment value in the PO for the year 2009?.
Henece how do remove the inconsistency of the commitment value in the PO for the year 2009?. (i.e value is comming from COOI table entry).Is there any SAP NOTEs are available for this case?
Note:
But this case no PR has been refered in the PO. PO has been directly created, and PO QTY,Value changes have not been done after SES,GR,IR completion.
But still system commitment value is showing in the PO for the year 2009, so HOW do remove the value?
i am looking suitable answers.

Pre-requisites for a commitment update are:
o In transaction OKKP, the commitment management indicator must be
       active for the given controlling area in the current fiscal year.
The controlling area is the highest organizational unit in Controlling,
however this area is missing from the accounting data of the PO.
o The accounting objects must be active for commitments:
- Work orders: The commitment management indicator must be set
          in transaction KOT2 for the given order type.
- Cost centers: In transaction KS02, in register "Control", the
          commitment update indicator must NOT be set.
- Projects: see note 47992
o In transaction CUNI, the unit of measurements used at item level
       must be set to value based commitment.
Please check the following notes 152571, 634298, 459509 and
772206 carefully and also 165823.
Please check also if the "delivery complete" indicator is set in the PO item (see note 735404).
Usually for service POs the "Delivery completed" indicator will be
hidden and this indicator is fully controlled by the "final entry
sheet" indicator in ML81N. You must allow to set this indicator trough a field selection customizing for your PO item.

Like Aditya, I have not seen such a function module. However, there is a standard evaluation path which may be suitable for your purpose. It is called BOSSORG and will give you all the employees under a manager.
Use it with function module RH_GET_STRUCTURE or RH_STRUC_GET. The latter lets you specify parameters directly, while the former takes them in container form. None of them are released for customer use unfortunately, but I haven't found a corresponding function module that is released.
