Testing connection to SAP Server

Hello All,
We would like to know how to test the connection from Nakisa OrgChart application to the SAP server. We are using Staged installation (SQL Server) and currently configuring the SAPExtractor.
We have the following details provided in the connection string:
ASHOST=10.100.122.142 SYSNR=00 USER=ZALE_NAKISSA PASSWD=newpass1 CLIENT=100
Can you check if our syntax for the connection string?

Hi Angelo,
There is no way to test the connection without attempting to extract. However, you could just run a quick extract and then cancel it as it will tell you if it cannot connect to SAP.

Note: SAP Server is running but still we are not able to connect from TIBCO Designer. Few times it's able to connect and few time it will throw an error while connecting to SAP Server.

Hi,
Since you are able to connect, seems the issue with network instability.
1) Create an RFC connection and perform the connection test. Note down the time taken (milli seconds), a notable delay also can be the cause of the issue.
2) Do the ping from Tibco system to SAP and note down the time taken
3)Also check the firewalls in between the two systems and check the valid access
You may need Nework admin teams help to cross check these.

Error Connecting to SAP server via JCO

When i tried to connect SAP server using JCO its giving error "Fatal error User name or password incorrect" .But with the same username and password i'm able to login to the SAP system with SAP logon pad. My username contains only numeric,does this have any significance?

type of username is not significant if it is correctly entered as same as entered in SAP Logon Tool.
U should configure the JCO Interface properly with connection details
SAP Server
SAP Client
SAP System Number
SAP User Name
SAP Password
Execution - True
Also every fields are very case sensitive, so hv deep look at every field with correction.
Pls tell me the LastErrorMessage using Tracer as follows SAPJCOInterface_0.LastErrorMessage

Losing the connection to sap server

Hello guys ,
I have a serious problem that i face losing connection between the terminals and the server, but I can still ping the server from those disconnected computers, the following is a sample to the error from the event viewer of the SAP server.

Test connection of application server

Hi,
How will i know if i have successfully created and connected an application server to my .NET project? I'm not seeing any BOR node coming down from it...
And when i click Add New Item > SAPProxyWizard, i get an error "Automation server can't create object".

I guess u have some problems with installation. Make sure ur have SAP.NETconnector 2.0 version. and j2sdk installed in your system. may be reinstall .Net connector after uninstalling. I think it will work.

SAP B2B server - test connection problem

We have business connector 4.6 sap BC server. We have created adapter connection in sapbc server to establish a connection to SAP ECC system but when we perform test connection in sapbc server it is throwing out error as" Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)" though we mentioned the right password and logon credentials.
Created listener for sap adapter in BC server and maintained program id and other configuration details. Created TCP/IP RFC connection from SAP using register program id "SAPBC and it is working fine.
communication from SAP to BC is working fine however we could receive error when we tried to test the connection from BC to SAP ECC.

BODI 11.7.3.0 could not connect to a SAP server group

We are currently using Business Objects Data Integrator 11.7.3.0. and we trying to connect to SAP server group instead of specific server but getting connection error
We are setting this up because BODI is not ulitizing the Load Balancing feature of our SAP system. Because the SAP application server address is hard coded in BODI (Datastore), BODI is just using the same SAP server every run.
The question now is: Is the latest version of BODI can connect to a SAP server group?

1. Yes, 12.2 finally suports the rfc.ini file, one reason was for the load balancing.
2. Yes, you are right, one datastore is bound to one application server in 11.7. However, this one apllication server could submit the ABAP as a spool job rather than executing it in dialog mode and then you have your load balancing again. Checkout the datastore property "execute in background".

SAP Client to the SAP Server: internal Error (-1102)[Message 131-183]

We are using Windows 2008 Server R2, SQL 2008 Standard, SAP B1 8.81 PL08.
When we trying to connect SAP Client to the SAP Server. There has internal Error (-1102) occurred. We can view the database on client, but we always get the same error message after enter the User ID and Password. We have checked the native client and it is installed and also opened the following ports: 1433, 30000, 30001. We have tried to open all of firewall, but itu2019s no use.
When I set a computer in to the engine room and set the network connection, this one can connect SAP Client to the SAP Server.
But when client connect to server by VPN, the IP address will not in the same section. Then We tried to set the IP address has the same network section with the server, but it's still disable.
I set a computer for SAP Server without firewall, complex network, virtual IP and no router in my office. And use a SAP Client which is in different network domain to connect to SAP Server by internet, not VPN, but the SAP Client still canu2019t connect to SAP Server. I get the same internal Error (-1102).
It can not only ping to SAP Server IP, but telnet to the port 1433, 30000, 30001, 445.
When I use a pc with server tools, it can connect to the SAP Server by the localhost license. But if I use a computer only install client and assign the server license. The latter one always got the error.
How could we solve this problem? Is there has another setting I am missing which might be blocking the connection?

We are using VPN and using Terminal Licensing or Remote Desktop Conneciton.
The idea here is VPN will connect you to the network and when you are connected to the network
dont use the direct LAN IP connection use the Terminal Licensing to connect.
Again both are needed VPN and Terminal Licensing. VPN for the connection and if successfully connected
use or connect from Terminal Licensing or Remote Desktop connections.

URL Reporting connecting to SAP R/3

Hello,
We have Crystal Reports that connect to ABAP Function Modules in our R/3 4.7 system as the data source. To minimize the number of user prompts, we use URL Reporting to pass all the required parameters for the report. The one thing we have not been able to do is specify data connection information in the URL. We currently get around this by setting the data connection information (SAP server, system #, client #, etc.) in the Database Configuration for the report in the CMC. The downside to this is that the report is now limited to running against a single SAP client.
Is there a way to specify the SAP connection information (server, system #, client #, etc) in the URL Reporting string? I know it can be done for SQL data sources through the USER- and PASSWORD- commands on the URL, but is there a similar way to specify SAP connection information?
Our reporting environment is BOBJ Enteprise XI 3.1, reports are developed in Crystal Reports 2008.

DAC: Failing to connection to INFA Server and INFA Rep Ser

OBIEE APPPS: 7.9.3
Informatica OS: Windows 2003
DB: Oracle 10gR2 on Windows 2003
Informatica is running without any issues. Successfully restored the repository, make sure to configure the repository server in workflow manager as well. Successfully tested 'Physical Data Sources' with out any issues. Successfully validate the DAC connection to Informatica rep server.
Problem: When I am testing my testing my informatica connections from DAC client from tab "Informatica Server" I am failing in both the connection

Please keep in mind that I have set the environment varialbles correctly, I have never faced these issues. Please help me out ASAP.

P.S: DAC and OLAP repositories have created and loaded without any issues. I am stuck here where I need to make sure DAC can talk to Informatica but failing.

You can restart your windows box and then see if the error is still coming. From your error log it seems there is some IO issue. I am also facing similar kind of issue. Actually my Informatica server runs and connects properly from DAC client. But when i run Execution plan, my Informatica server crashes? Do you have any idea what might be the cause?
