Testing email configuration

Hi experts,
Im trying to test my email configuration under maintenance menu in cfg connectivity option, but when i clic en test email button and after that i give sender and receiver email gives me a error message:
XCE078 The deployed IPO-Step instance currently is deactivated: /vPlatformIDE/com.sap.b1i.vplatform.ide/ipo/vPlatform.ide.ipo/TestEmailConfig
Recommendation
Check for the correctness of your activity or environment or ask your system-administrator for further help.
If you could help me about this ill appreciate

Hi Fernando,
This is a late reply to your post, but it is for the benefit of anyone reading this thread.
The documentation currently around the SMTP setup & troubleshooting is very poor.
You can resolve this error by going to 'Monitoring' then 'Process Control' and clicking the button 'Clear INCOMMIT Transactions'. It will say something like "1 INCOMMIT Transactions set to final state" and you will be able to keep emailing test emails thereafter.
Note: If you scroll to the bottom of the page mentioned above you will see 'TestEmailConfig' under the heading 'Framework Processes'. The button 'IPO Log' can give you additional details of the transaction.
Good luck!
Kind Regards,

May I know what are the steps that i need to do in order to send email out to users in Guided Procedures? What are the configurations that need to be done?

  • EWA Email Configuration

    Dear all,
I need your help in sending the EWA Report automatically.
I have added the Email recipient in T-code DSWP under my solution.
Also I have configured in T-code SCOT.
For test purpose I manually generated a EWA Report and after the background job SM :EXEC SERVICES, I checked the status of the mail in T-code SCOT,the mail is in waiting state for a long time but when I click on "Start Send proc for Selection", the mail is getting delivered.
Now what should be done to make it automatic?
    Thanks,
    Regards,

EarlyWatch Individual Email Configuration - configure email transmission

    Dear all,
    The Issue is solved now.
I can able to send email to the corresponding recipient automatically.
I had problem with two things which created this issue.
Firstly i re-scheduled the SAPCONNECT job in T-code SCOT and then I scheduled the background job SM : EXEC SERVICES correctly, which turned the bottle icon into a report icon after few minutes. N later the Email was sent.
Thank You for all your support

  • FEP 2010 - Email alerts not sended (Test-Emails are Successful)

    Hello,
I got a FEP 2010 environment that is integrated with SCCM 2007.
The "Test email alert" is sent successfull. But there is no email-alert sent when a FEP-client gets MallWare. (The MallWare is only removed and this is shown in the event viewer of the client
& the reports on the FEP Server).
Worth to meantion is that the Alerts stopped to work after a reinstall of IIS and Reporting Services.
In the Event Viewer of the server running FEP, the "Forefront Endpoint Protection" log keep saying:
    Error, FepSrv, 3004
    Alerts manager failed
    Error recieved:
    MalwareDetectionAlertResultComputerName
And one/two minutes later it says:
    Information, FepSrv, 3005
    Alerts manager succeeded after failure
I have tried the "FEP Best Practices Analyzer (BPA)" and I got the result "0 items NonCompliant" and it showed that Alerts where configured correctly.
I don't know what more to troubleshoot, do you have any ideas?
    Best Regards,
    Anders

    Hi Jörgen,
Thank you for the answer, but the SQL Agent is up and running and there's no errors..
The workflow seems to work properly, except the "FEPSrv" who can't find events that would trigger alerts.
(If I run a report on the FEP-server, the report contain info about the clients who's been exposed to MalWare - And MalWare info)
The "Update Rollup 1 for forefront endpoint protection 2010" ( http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26583 )  has not been implemented, can this be
a possible reason to why the alerts not function properly?

  • How do You Test EMail Connectivity?

How do You Test EMail Connectivity?
Once you setup the mail gateway with an IP address, port, and domain name.  How can you test email connectivity?  How do you force the MARS Appliance to send an email?

There is no "test e-mail connectivity" button/function. Essentially you need to configure inspection rules to notify you when they are fired by mars.
You will need to setup a user (preferably a non-admin account for testing) under "Management"-"user management"(if you haven't already done so) make sure to supply e-mail address.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/security_management/cs-mars/6.0/initial/configuration/setup.html#wp1030836
Now you can "Configure a Rule to Send an Alert Action." the following link explains how to do this...An easy one would be the "System Rule: CS-MARS Login Failures - Non-Admin User" rule. Follow the instructions in the link below under the "Configure a Rule to Send an Alert Action" section to modify the rule mentioned above. Keep in mind that this rule only fires when there are login failures. Once you have modified this rule try logging into mars using the non-admin user with a bad password...you should get a e-mail from MARS.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/security_management/cs-mars/6.0/user/guide/combo/alerts.html#wp1056101
    Hope this helps.

  • Not Receiving Test Emails

One of our clients is trying to send an email campaign however they are having trouble sending the test email. They are sending it to themselves and see the confirmation alert that says "Success, test email sent" however the email does not arrive in their inbox.
I have tested this on my system and have the same trouble. I have tried on PC and Mac, Tunderbird, Gmail, Yahoo and my client uses Outlook on Mac) - nothing. I have checked my clients webmail account and nothing there either.
I have also created a new test email campaign and still not receiving test emails.
Can someone please look into this - I have submitted an urgent support case but have not heard back. My client is not happy and needs to send theor campaign IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!
    The site is www.angeldesigns.com.au

    Hi Mary and all,
The issue related to email campaigns and other system emails has been resolved. However, there is a large number of emails in the queue, so sending might be delayed.
We have not had any issues with the email service Mary, so I'm not sure what problem is your customer having at the moment. Can you please give us more details about what is the problem that your client is experiencing?
As for the green buttons, they are for website rendering and the email service and they are updated automatically based on the system monitors. They don't reflect the email campaign status, which is updated manually. However, I'll work with the team to have the layout changed so that it's cleared.
Thanks and please accept our apologies for this inconvenience.
    Kind regards,
    Florin

  • Browser "stuck" in email configuration

    Hello -
    Appreciate your help.
When I use email configuration (to validate or edit an acct), the internet browser then gets "stuck" in that function.  I cannot change the home page on Browser Configuration; it simply will not erase or allow write over.  (Stuck on: bis.na.blackberry.com/wap?brand=vzw)  Also, unfortunately, I do not have other web pages save in History.  (BTW, my service is via Verizon, which might be relevant given that the url that refuses to change (vzw equals verizon wireless)).
This bug makes the internet browser essentially non-functional.
Please share info on how to fix and, if available, how to prevent.
    Many thanks!
    MJW

Same thing here.  We have two 8330 Curves, and one has the option for a Start Page and Default Search Provider under the Browser Configuration menu, while the other does not.  It's the one without these options that is stuck in the email configuration screen.

  • GRC CUP how can i remove  auto link "view" display from email configuration

    Hi,
When approver/manager gets email. They get display "view" as a link to process the request. How can i remove this and put a full link in email configuration of stages workflow.
    Thanks
    Yakoob.

    Hi,
I have a similar query on this. We have a clustered environment for our production GRC CUP system. Access to the CUP system is via a load balanced Webdispatcher.
My question is, when a notification e-mail is sent out from CUP, the "View" link is showing a direct link to one of our clustered server instead of the Webdispatcher link. How can we customize the "View" link?
We need to ensure the approvers are able to access the link via the webdispatcher so that when a failover in the cluster occurs, they are not affected.
    Thanks.

  • CRM2013: EMail Configuration Madness

We have CRM2013 deployed, but we are having a number of issues with email configuration. Some of these problems have been down to security and not getting the correct settings, but we are still having issues and I've now decided to go back to basic and start
    again.
We are trying to get the Email Router working for outbound mail (as not all our users have Outlook available). At some point other colleagues have tried getting the Server-Side sync working rather than e-mail router.
Now I've got involved I want to return to what I know, and that's the good old Email Router. The question I have is do you still need an "Email Server Profile" setting up in CRM if you're going to use the email router service. The documentation
is ambiguous on this matter with the following paragraph suggesting you do, but is this only for Server-Side Sync?
"Email server profiles in Microsoft Dynamics CRM store settings
that are used by server-side synchronization to connect to an email server and process email for the associated mailboxes. You must configure at least one email server profile to process email for your CRM organization. Depending on the complexity of your
organization’s email system, you may have to create multiple email server profiles."
What is the latest opinion on Email Router vs Server-Side Sync and management?Any
    pointers gratefully received.
    Steve

email router remains the same from previous versions. Email Server Profile is applicable only for server side synchronization.

Is there any simple Pl/SQL way of sending emails from ORACLE database. Please note that I am using ORACLE 8i Release 8.1.5(and not 8.1.6 where we have utl_smtp package).Actually I want to automate email generation from ORACLE DB so that emails are fired everyday evening depending on some daily changes in Database due to whole days transactions.
Please suggest any simple and efficient way to do this..
    Thanx in Advance

Currently I am trying to do this via java. Having a few problems trying to implement the examples but you might try note: 120994.1 in Metalink. Or send an email to [email protected] and I will send you the full article.

    Hello Brian Delaney,
It sounds like you are trying to send emails but for some reason, thousands show activity. I would start by re indexing the mailbox to help troubleshoot the issue:
    1.Quit Mail if it’s open.
2.In ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData, delete any file that begins with “Envelope Index,” such as Envelope Index or Envelope Index-shm.To show your home Library folder, hold down the Option key, then in the Finder choose Go > Library.
3.Open Mail.Mail creates new Envelope Index files. This process may take a few minutes, depending on how many messages Mail is reindexing.
    Mail (Mavericks): Reindex messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14876
If the issue persists, I would next remove the account, restart the computer, and re add the account:
1.Choose Mail > Preferences, then click Accounts.
2.Select an account, then click Remove.
    Mail (Mavericks): Remove mail accounts
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14944
Removing an Exchange or IMAP account doesn’t permanently delete the account’s mailboxes and messages because they’re stored on the mail server. To retrieve the account’s mailboxes and messages from the server, add the account again in Mail.
To add the account again, click the  rather than the  as described above and retest the issue.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Joe
