Testing Webservices in XI with XML Spy

Hi ,
      I am trying to define a Webservice in XI from the ID by going to Tools -> Define Webservice( the usual way ) and I got the WSDL.I am trying to use the same from XML Spy to send SOAP messages to XI.But there is something wrong in the link generated.Does somebody has a prior exp or idea about what needs to be done exactly to get it running.
Regards,
Sudip.

Hi Bhavesh,
                    I was trying the second option to send it to the integration server directly. But the error which I get it as follows
<SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
     <SOAP:Body>
          <SOAP:Fault>
               <faultcode>SOAP:Server</faultcode>
               <faultstring>System Error</faultstring>
               <detail>
                    <s:SystemError xmlns:s="http://sap.com/xi/WebService/xi2.0">
                         <context/>
                         <code>RCVR_DETERMINATION.MESSAGE_INCOMPLETE</code>
                         <text>Message is incomplete. No Sender found</text>
                    </s:SystemError>
               </detail>
          </SOAP:Fault>
     </SOAP:Body>
</SOAP:Envelope>
But this is a working scenario.
link which is generated is as follows
http://bsw6220:51000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Party=http%3A%2F%2Fsap.com%2Fxi%2FXI%3AXIParty%3AAttachmentAdapter&Sender.Service=LockBoxFileCreationAtProvider&Interface=http%3A%2F%2Fsap.com%2Fxi%2FAP%2FGlobalization%5EUS_BAI2_IN_INTERFACE
Any idea what went wrong?
Regards,
Sudip.

    What is the status of the Sender SOAP adapter? Any error in MONI?

  • Testing BPM on NWA with XML Content

    Hi SDN team,
    I'm working with SAP NetWeaver CE 7.3.
    I have modeled a BPM (based on the Microsoft OLX Web Service) and try to test it on SAP NetWeaver Administration (NWA). Therefor, I also have created a XML file. But when I upload it, the warning message "Datei kann nicht hochgeladen werden, da die Prozessdefinitions-ID für den Prozess, den Sie starten möchten, nicht übereinstimmt", that means "File cannot be uploaded, because the process definition ID for the process you try to start does not match"
    The XML file:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:t="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/types">
      <soap:Header>
      <t:RequestServerVersion Version="Exchange2010_SP2"/>
      </soap:Header>
      <soap:Body>
      <FindFolder Traversal="Shallow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/messages">
      <FolderShape>
      <t:BaseShape>AllProperties</t:BaseShape>
      </FolderShape>
      <ParentFolderIds>
      <t:FolderId Id="AAEuAAAAAAAaRHOQqmYRzZvIAKoAL8RaAwAVb4+VoTScSajx6dP/9c40AAACQ1iEAAA="/>
      <t:DistinguishedFolderId Id="inbox"/>
      </ParentFolderIds>
      </FindFolder>
      </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    Without the envelope, I got an error: "File not valid".
    Is there another way to define start (parameter) values? In my BPM, there is a Data Content for the process context.
    Thanks, Cheers,
    Cengiz

    Hello Cengiz,
    i don't know if i get this right. You have designed a BPM Workflow with a start trigger based on a microsoft wsdl and you want to test this now? You could start your process in NWA by navigating to Process-Repository and klick on your process definition and then click button "start process". Then you can enter start parameter. Also you could use the WSNavigator and search for your start Trigger. There you could also enter the paramters and start your process.

  • How to test SOAP request using XML SPY

    Hi,
    1. I am new to WebServices concept, I have downloaded the wsdl file and now I need to test the SOAP requests using XML Spy. However, when I try to test the SOAP request generated by XML Spy I receive an error "Internal Error: Session is not available. Aborting" , How do I go ahead to generate the session, Is there a way I can provide the Username and password in the XML Spy to generate something like session.
    2. The second problem that I am facing is when I import the WSDL in XML Spy and generate the SOAP request, for all the fields xml tags gets populated with "aaaaaaaaaaaa" kind of data through out. Am i doing something wrong ? Is there some step while creating a SOAP request that I am missing becasue of which the gibbrish data is being populated as default ?
    Please Help !
    Thanks .

    I got my SOAP Requests tested using SOAP UI .. However I am still looking for ways to test it using XML SPY.
    In the SOAP UI Tool just do right click and select Add WS Security Token ..
    Thanks :)

  • When will we go for Altova xml spy testing in case of soap scenario ??

    Hi
    suppose I have a scenario like this: rfc-xi-soap. In this scenario if somebody say's testing the scenario using Altova xml spy means Altova xml spy will be acting as webservice ?? what is the ( or is there) significance of below URL in testing ??
    http://<host>:<j2ee-port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?
    channel=<party>:<service>:<channel>
    thanks
    kumar

    Hi Kumar
    I am using XmlSpy for following reasons ::
    *) To check & confirm the Request/Response/Fault Structure of the WebService.
    *) To check the whether the WebService is UP or not, in case someone has reported an issue.
    *) To develop the xsd structure for the WebServices, in case I am getting different structure after importing the WSDL in XI. Like in the case of this Weblog -->
    /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/03/23/rfc--xi--webservice--a-complete-walkthrough-part-1
    In this response structure is created, you can also use other tools for creating xsd.

  • Webservice with xml

    i am not sure how can validate my xsd using webservice.
    I have xml like this and I created xsd base on this xml. now
    i would like to create webservice so if i give some one they can
    validate returing ture and false how can i do that. I am new to
    webservice. I know if i have to create in .cfm i have to use
    xmlvalidate. thanks

    <Address>
    <city>ddd</city>
    <state>ddd</state>
    <zip>ddd</zip>
    </Address>
    </Employee>

    After some testing I found more and more questions:
    1.
    I tried to give the xml into a string input parameter. This is fine but: How can work on that? Do I have to store the xml string temporally on the server so that I can access it with dom4j libs? Or is there another way to work with the input string?
    2.
    I tried different portal soap types as input parameters (com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.soap.types.XMLData and com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.soap.types.NormalizedString), but I do not know how to handle them? Does anyone has some experience on that?

    I dont think there would be a definitive answer but :
    could you check the URL manually whether its reachable if so what is its status ?
    Once did this check whether there any parameters its expecting and missing.
