Tethered: Should I see pics on screen as they are taken?

I am using the trial of Aperture 3.1 - I have a Canon EOS 300D which I have tethered to my MacBook Pro. I can take pictures and these 'eventually' end up in Aperture but it takes like 30 seconds or more and further more the latest image to arrives does not automatically show onscreen fullscreen, i have to select the thumbnail.
This doesn't seem right to me. Can anyone advise?
I have seen on some other forum that I might need a firmware upgrade on my camera but to be honest it is fine in all other aspects and I don't really want to update for the sake of it.

Try:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

You can move apps around in iOS 7 the same as iOS 6. Press an app icon until you see it wiggle; then drag it to where ever you want it to be. Drag it onto another app to create a folder with the two apps. Tap the Home button to stop the wiggle.

This does not appear to be a problem when opened with another apple mobile device. Just when opened on computer via webmail. (gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc.)

Why can't i view on iCloud what is on my lost iPhones? i can see how much GB's they are taking up but can't click on the data to see what it is..

Why can't I view my icloud backups on a new apple device using the same icloud id? Unluckily I lost 4 iphones in 2 yrs. all had same icloud acct on them, so when i log on to locate my current iphone on my macbook or on new iphone, it shows a list of all the lost iphones and their data take up.
When i click on settings on my ios> go to icloud > storage & backup> manage storage:
LOST IPHONE 1- 4.5 GB DOCUMENTS & DATA : it shows PREVIEW 1.2 MB PAGES1.6 MB TEXT EDIT91.6 KB PHOTOS 3.2 GB

but you can't click on those documents & data to show what exactly they are so you can move them or save and delete. If I go into icloud there's nothing there from that long ago. is that data deleted? if i were to get that certain iphone back and turn it on would the pics, docs still be in icloud? it says all that room in my icloud is still taken up so where can i view it?? anyone know??

If you haven't already, you could force-quit Quicktime by using the menu option from the desktop (finder) and choose Quicktime.
Not sure what you have frozen on the screen, be it a failed movie, or some unusual screen shot. If you can find by date (created) you may be able to look for .mov or quicktime suffix name or other video file content to delete it.
And you may have to restart your computer and perhaps run repair disk permissions from Disk Utility's first aid on the hard disk drive in your computer.
Not sure if all that would help now, but it is something a few days late...!

Do you have an Restrictions set that would hide the apps? Settings>General>Restrictions
Have you used the Spotlight search? Maybe you just can't find them.

How to I make pop up windows go back to the left side of the screen when they are moving to the right?

Whenever I click on a link, a new window pops up. That's good, that's what I wanted. They've always opened on the left side of the screen. However, they are now opening in the middle of the screen. This has happened before and the screen eventually opened completely on the right. Last time this happened, I ended up having to delete something. I don't remember what, but it solved the issue. Can see Audiobooks in iTunes but they are not on the iPod

Things were fine but then I tried to download a few songs from Freegal and everything got wiped out--music and audiobooks. I can see them when I plug the iPod into the computer under my iPod file but it won't let me drag and drop the chapters into the ipod. What's my solution to get those audiobooks, at least, back into the iPod. They are OverDrive books by the way and they have already expired in OverDrive.

Sametime 7.5 can't see the words typed until they are already sent

Using Lotus Notes Sametime 7.5 user cannot see the words she types until they are sent. Very strange & I nor the techs in my office have seen this issue before. I then went to remove then reinstall the program but got an error message could not find the uninstall file in C:\ Program Files\Lotus\Sametime Client. I'ts not there in my setup either I have yet to find the uninstall file for Sametime yet. If anyone knows anything about this issue it would save me the asprin I'm going to consume looking for it.

Tried it, didn’t work, how ever I do believe that it’s the 3945ABG card have a problem, since my old IBM R50 doesn’t have any problem with the WRT54G router version 7. But it’s strange that the WRT54G router that is sold with firmware version 5 don’t have the problem!? The last one of the WRT54G router with firmware version 5 that I bought, is even updated to the newest version of firmware that are available for that version, and it still works ok with the 3945ABG card, so Linksys do seems to have a problem too, regarding the 7 version that are sold in Europe. Do you have any other suggestion to fix the problem?
To fix the problem her and now, I had to buy a second-hand WRT54G router with firmware version 5, how ever I still got the router with firmware version 7, and still want to find a solution to the problem with this version.
I and my company won’t buy any new WRT54G router before this problem is fixed! And as long as the problem isn’t fixed we will for sure not recommend it to anyone who asked us for advice regarding routers. Because you have to remember that quite a lot of the new portable pc’s that is sold to day, is sold with the 3945ABG card.

Back ups disappeared. I can see the folder structure but they are all targetless alias.

A couple of months ago I restored a Lion MacBook Time Machine Back up to a new MacBook Air using Mountain Lion. Obviously, the whole content wouldn't fit in the considerably smaller hard drive of the MBA, so I only downloaded what was most important, and left the back up in my external disk to access if I needed other files.
The thing is, I did access the files a couple of times, but sometime in the past two months the back ups have dissapeared. Instead, I can find my fold structure, but they are only aliases. There are no files there.
I used finder to browse through all the different dates inside the Time Machine folder, but there were still only aliases.
The Time Machine Back up folder reduced in size from about 500GB to 45GB, but I have not deleted anything. And I haven't set up a new time machine.
Any one has any idea of what might have happened?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

With iOS 7.0.2 I lost many apps from my screen. They are in the Apps store under "updates." I can open them but can't get them back onto the desktop for easy access.

Q: Why users are not able to see only certain printers even though they are in the Airgroup server table ?
A: In certain scenarios we may notice printers come up under the server /cache entries on the controller.
However when an airgroup user does search for printer, they may not see all the printers, certain printers may be not visible .
This is because the service IDs sent by the user in the MDNS query are not broadcast by these printers
In the below capture the Ipad sends query for service id "_universal_sub_ipp_tcplocal" and "_universal_sub_ipps_tcplocal" and hence the controller will
respond with the printers that broadcasts these service ids.

In order to learn other printers we may need to use specific app provided by printer vendor on the client or configure the printers to send these service IDs.

The net 451 issues made it not work after a while but it affected the entire RWW site not just remote access:

Careful if you try and uninstall it, you'll need to put back net 4.0 and reconfigure some stuff.

Why does the green light stay on at the top of my screen where pictures are taken?

MacBook Pro, OSX 10.9.2 - at the top of the frame of the screen a green light stays on - I think this is the camera. Is there a way to shut if off?

This procedure may show which program is using the camera. It makes no changes, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem. It will only work while the green LED is on. The instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

My IPad 6.1.3 is not allowing me to upgrade to version 7.0.2 ( not that I want to after reading all the horror stories). My memory is 23.3gb available and ap is 3.3gb and....twice I've deleted pics from album and they are still there !

My itunes and ipod will not see each other and claim they are on different accounts. I only have one account

I can't sync my ipod anylonger. I have 2 nano's and 1 touch. my itunes does not recognize them anymore. Some of the songs on itunes are not on my ipod, and vice versa. I can download songs from itunes, but it does not allow me to log on anylonger.

Instead, I find your same question in a new Adobe Premiere Elements Forum thread this afternoon with no refer the prior threads or prior recommendations given you.
I will also mention again...when you buy the Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements bundled in one packaging and with installation files for each on the same installation disc, each program has its own serial number. The Photoshop Elements serial number does not work for Premiere Elements and vice versa. The serial numbers are on labels on a box which houses the installation disc envelope(s). So, if you purchased both programs and found the Photoshop Elements serial number, then the Premiere Elements serial number should be in a label right underneath the label with the serial number for Photoshop Elements. I recall writing this in your yesterday's thread on this matter.

The " glass" front of your iMac is really not glass, at all, but an optically clear polycarbonite (plastic) that a black border painted or possibly "printed" on the backside (to hide the strong magnets that hold this cover on) that has a metal frame glued to the back to which this frame is held in place with very strong magnets.
You use one or two small suction cups or a suction cup from a windshield mounted mobile GPS mount or purchase a small commercial glass cup, that is used to handle bare glass, to get the polycarbonite frame off.
The reason I mention the material is polycarbonite is that you should NOT be using ANY type of retail/commercial window glass cleaners on this front glass or on the LCD screen.
Polycarbonite easily scratches and clouds when using ANY conventional glass cleaning solutions.
You need to use a lint-free, microfiber style cloth dampened in warm water (completely wring the water out of the microfiber cloth to the point cloth is just warm and damp with NO water dripping at all from the cloth) and use this to get the screen and glass don't screen clean.
