Texas Hold 'Em Froze my iPod!

I was playing texas hold 'em on my 5th Generation 30 GB iPod when all of a sudden it freezes. I tried the 5 Rs, on apples site but i only made it to the third one. Because when my iPod is connected to my Mac, nothing happens. Absolutley nothing. Zip, Zero Nada.

Texas Hold'em stops the iPod music when run.

I have been unable to find a setting which will allow my iPod music to continue to play while running the game. Is anyone aware of a way to achieve this, or am I stuck? The game is nice, but pretty useless if I can't listen to my music simultaneously.

This happens to me as well. However, as long as you are using headphones with the button (like the standard iphone headphones) a single click on the button will continue the song. Seems like the app pauses your song, much like if you had received a call.

IPod game Texas Hold'em character name change

I purchased Texas Hold'em for my iPod nano and everything works great, but I can't find out how to change the name of my character in the game. All I've got now is a player called "A." Any help would be appreciated.

Have contacted apple, then re-sent me the games to download and still no luck, have restored the ipod several times just to make sure that its clean and that the games will re-install.
Cant get anything to work.
In a way I am glad that someone else has this problem, maybe apple will send out a fix quicker now.

IPod cycles hard reset after Texas Hold'em install

I'll send the message to Apple and call as well tomorrow, but thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone has advice - and also as a cautionary note.
I downloaded Texas Hold'em tonight to install onto my 5G Video iPod. I'm running iTunes 7.0.1 (7) and have the latest updater installed.
After playing the game for about ten minutes, my iPod froze. Not such a big deal, I thought. I performed a hard reset and figured it would take care of itself.
Unfortunately, my iPod now cycles through hard resets on its own every 5 seconds or so. The Apple logo appears on the screen, the hard drive spins up, then the iPod immediately shuts down again and restarts, ad infinitum.
I'll reformat it using iTunes, but you can see the problem here - that requires getting the iPod to successfully restart itself. I went through the iPod diagnostics and everything seems to check out okay. I put it in hard disk mode (something I've never done with this particular iPod). I get a black and white graphic of the lightning bolt (don't know if that's normal or not) but the computer will not find the drive when connected.
Wondering if anyone knows of any third party software that might be able to help get the iPod to mount in external HD mode. I just need to get it mounted somehow so that I can reformat it.

Texas Hold 'Em Freezes Sync

I had the old iPhone and when it tried to back up Texas Hold 'Em the sync process froze and I had to force quit iTunes. Then I got the new 3G and the same thing happens. I cannot adequately sync because of the app.
Do I have any options other than deleting all content/restoring? I.E., is there any way I can delete the Texas Hold 'Em app FROM MY iPHONE...not from the synced computer?

I too am having the same problem, and i have just figured out i have the a classic not a 5th generation so i guess i am SOL. The question i have is i have downloaded texas Hold'em to my work computer...can i simply transfer the folder/file to a portable drive so that i may bring the game home and install on the 5th Gen iPod i have at home??

I have an early 2006 30GB Ipod with video and it won't let me play Texas Hold 'em. It says that i cannot play the game and I need to reinstall the game. How do I reinstall the game so I can play it?

does the multiplayer option of Texas Hold'em Poker game allow me to play over the internet or is it local network only?

It seems it is your *local network*, it would have been AMAZING if it was over the internet. Soon, I hope. I play at Poker Stars and I sent them an email asking them when will they create an interface for Iphone/Ipod Touch users. One day, I'm sure someone will create it.
For now, you will have to settle for a group coming over and playing over your wifi, which is really cool too!

it might be a malfunction in your device. you might ave to send it to repairation
1.ave you try resetting it or restoring it?
2. did your hold boutons whas working beffor?

Texas Hold'em Bug

I'm not exactly sure where one goes to report a software bug so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
When playing Apple's Texas Hold'em (awesome app btw), the winnings when playing two tables are inconsistant. I'm noticing this mostly in Dubai. If I win first place at the first table, you're suppose to carry over $10K to the second table.
However, if you close the game and then go back into it before winning the first table, you only carry over $6K, which is what 2nd place gets. Looking at the table shows that no one has $10K.
I've been able to reproduce this bug fairly consistantly. The bug only shows itself when you close the game and then go back into it.
If this isn't the right place to post this, please point me in the right direction.

Apple Texas Hold 'em glitches in IOS 8

I know this app has been "discontinued" for a while. Sad because it is a good single player version. One of my favorite time wasters. I had played it to the
point where I had won $67 million. Then I upgraded to IOS 8. First I lost all my money and had to restart at the entry level. No problem, but when I won at the
first level, it would not let me continue the game at a higher stakes table even though I had the money. It wouldn't let me play at all. When I exited and restarted the game, my money was gone and I had to start over. So I can only play at the garage level and cannot accumulate winnings and advance to higher stakes tables.
I've looked at other Texas Hold'em games in the App store and I don't find any that play as well as the Apple game and most are full of in-app purchase stuff.
I almost makes me want to go bad to IOS 7.

Texas Hold 'Em Crashes (3G)

I bought this crazy 3G phone and tried to play the texas hold em game. It keeps crashing on me when ever i try to place a bet, rotate the screen or sometimes it just crashes for the sake of crashing. Is this a known issue with this game? Any ideas on how to play a hand of poker without having to restart ever 5 seconds?

I had this issue as well. I did a restore of the phone and it installed new firmware (I think). I lost no data--just some settings which were easily reset, and then no more apps crashing.

Texas Hold'em King 2

Just bought the Curve 8900 and it came with Texas Hold'em King 2 installed but since I updated the programs on the phone I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know if it was a trial version or if it is part of the package ? And how can I get it back ? On the official site i says the game is not even out yet but you can buy Texas Hold'em King 3.

What updates were installed? If you check under Options | Advanced Options | Applications, does it list the game? If so that means it's still installed but maybe in another folder. Do you have a Games folder to look in? Also make sure the icon isn't hidden. Just go into the folder where it was before, ALT+click on one of the visible icons and choose Show All. If you see the icon then, then ALT+click it and uncheck Hide.

Texas Hold Em No Sound

Since installing the latest update for Texas Hold Em i've been getting no sound on the game. I've checked all my settings and i've tried deleting the app from my phone and resyncing through iTunes but I've had no luck. I'm running 2.1 on a 3G iphone. Any similar experiences/ideas on how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated as I like the soundon that game.

Finally! Glad to find someone having the same issue. Ok, so here is what I know. I have spent a LOT of time on the phone with Apple, and bottom line is every rep blames my phone. I keep telling them everything was fine until the one and only update. Prior to the update, the side volume buttons controlled the game volume. Now they control the ringer volume. In addition, sounds in the game are very inconsistent. Chip sounds are not always the same among other things. The effects volume inside the game will only go up as far as the "application volume" is set at. By that I mean there is another volume control in the iPhone that you can't control in the game. The 3 different types of volume I'm aware of in the phone itself would be ringer, speaker, and ear piece. The side buttons control the ringer in standby mode, and control speaker and ear piece only while the corresponding one is being used. In other apps, the side buttons still control that apps volume. And I stand my ground that by controlling the volume another app, it is controlling either the speaker or ear piece volume (my guess is speaker) across the board. Meaning I have gotten around the Holdem sound issue by going into other application first to make sure the volume is up all the way. Then I can go into Holdem and have the volume at the same level. If I go into another app and trun the volume down to 50%, and then go into Holdem, my max volume in Holdem will still be the same 50% level set from the previous app, even though it shows the volume is all the way up in Holdem. I have tried explaining that to several iPhone Level 2 retards, and can't get through to anyone! They all say to reset everything, buy a new computer, because it CAN'T be the application. Incidentally, these Level 2 techs aren't even aware that Apple created this application. They kept making reference to a third party app and they have no way to duplicate the problem on their test phones. I kept telling them it was THEIR app and they should be supporting it. But I digress......

How to re-obtain Texas Hold'em King 2

Just got my new Bold 9900. However the games that had been on my previous BBRY, Klondyke and Texas Hold'em King 2 are not on it.
I did a search on the bbry store and it pulled up the NEW Texas Hold'em King 3 (which I had to pay for) but this game has almost no live players, and is not nearly as easy to play as King 2. I miss my old community of players from King 2!
Ditto for Klondyke. I searched on the store and it pulled up some free versions, but they were quite difficult to play and were littered with ads
So - does anyone know how I can obtain and download Texas Hold'em King 2 and the old Klondyke onto my new BBRY Bold 9900?

Texas Hold'em King 2 is not available from BlackBerry World. Also this was a previous application for previous models and this application might not be available for free on new models.
This is the same thing as Klondyke as well.
