Texct for selection screen not printing in french

Hello,
I have a program that when the french run it, on the selection screen, the name, not the text from the slelection text is displaying on the screen however when the report is generated, the column headings appear in french so I am not sure the problem is. I am not sure where to look to correct this problem. if someonw could please help me , it would be appreciated,

when I log on with the FR language and go to se38 and select the "test elements" and click display I get a pop-up with the following message in french which translates to
"not translated texts of the source language are integrated by IT"
when you click in the question mark icon, you get the following
"At the time of the posting of elements of text in the language of posting, the system found texts which existed in the source language but not in the working language. These texts are also posted in the source language (according to table TADIR) in view. In the screen of posting, these texts which do not come from the pool of texts of the working language are indicated by the posting of the key of the source language."
when you get past that, the first tab "text sysmbols" displays everything in English. I am thinking that is why I am getting the messages. the second tab "selection texts" displays everything in french.
when you are coding a program that you know will be used by other languages, are there certain things that you do in order to not have these problems?

Is it possible to write a html code in the web template html tag so that the output of the html is displayed in the selection screen, i.e before the execution of query.
I know that we can write html, which will be displayed once the query has been executed, but can it be done for selection screen.
if so, how.
My exact requirement is : to display a 2-3 lines of text in the selection criteria screen - sort of, various options available to user for entering values in the selection screen. I was thinking of putting this text using HTML code in the selection screen.

No, unfortunately nobody replied to this thread. So i assumed it is not possible to modify the selection screen thru html code.
Btw, as my requirement was to provide user with multiple answers on the selection screen. I did the validations on customer exit and popped an errror dialog when applicable.

How to set default variant for selection screen

Hi,
I want to make one variant as default for selection screen for one user.
For eg., take COOIS. For the selection screen, i have 3 variants. But i want one variant to be default. Thsi is not for all users. Thsi is for particular user.
I am not seeing any way to do this. please help me..

Hi,
If you are using Z program then you can ask your developer to get Variant name Runtime from Parameter ID.
This means you decide a Parameter ID name : ZVAR in your Z program and ask your developer to load variant each time your Z program loads.
Now, second step will be using SU01 transaction you can set value of ZVAR in Parameters tab for the user. This value will be the variant which you created for this user.
This will solve your problem and you can make n number of variants and assign it to different users.

Transaction Variant for Selection Screen

Hi, experts!
A question regarding transaction variants: Is it possible to create screen variants and transaction variants via SHD0 for selection screens? I' ve created a customer report with one selection screen including parameters and select options and would like to provide the users with a variant transaction for this.
Utilizing the "Save as variant" option from the selection screen itself works out perfectly, but this variant cannot be transported. And trying to create a transaction variant via SHD0 fails because values entered in the selection screen parameters and select options help screens are not saved and presented.
Any hints are more than welcome!

But, give the variant a name beginning with "CUS&" and this variant will be transported. Variant beginning with "CUS&" or "SAP&" are so-called "system variant" and are transported automatically. You can then copy the transaction code and use this new variant in the new transaction.

Options gone for select,edit, and print under HP Smart Web banner since HP dialed in to fix crash

The buttons are gone for selecting, editing, and printing under my HP Smart Web since HP dialed in and fixed another problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software but still no luck. All that shows up is the "HP Smart Web Printing" banner with the X to exit; that's it, no options listed below. My computer has completely crashed twice since I started using it 1/4/10. The second time the person dialed in and changed the bios and a few things in msconfig but I don't see anything there that would cause the smart web printing. HELP. Am I missing something really silly since I am a new user of HP Smart Print?

I am REALLY annoyed to read this post. I have spent a lot of time to try and fix my computer (which I don't have with 5 kids...not your problem I know and NOT the point). It should NOT be this hard to update and fix a product. I DON'T WANT the Bing bar...and am feeling like I am being forced to accept it to make my puter run correctly because it is supported by HP. What....kind of service is THAT???????? I hope that someone from HP....admin or whatever...reads this. I am "madder" than mad. I have had HP products for years with few problems...and all of which I could find a solution for. This is unacceptable...and I hope someone listens. I don't know if I can trust HP again....when it won't even use the browser most use without problems. Global Variable for selection screen variable

Hi All,
We need to create a report where calendar day has to be included in the selection screen.Later after executing the report we should be able to retrieve the selection screen input for calendar day and modify it and use the modified one for other calculations.Can somebody help me out in finding the global variable in the variable exit where we find all the inputs for selection screen variables....

Hi,
You can create the 'Parameter Transaction' so that whenever you run the particular transaction it will run with the initial value given when the Tcode was created and hence you can skip the initial screen of the module pool program.
To create Parameter transaction from SE93 you have to choose the last option i.e Parameter Transaction.

Analysis Authorization : Selection screen not appearing for query

Hi,
I am facing an issue with analysis authorization. I have created the new roles and assigned to the users. For one user when I am executing the query, the selection screen is not coming up and it shows error message to specify the variables. Whereas its running for all other users.
In S_RS_COMP I have selected Type of a reporting component as Query View, Query & Template structure. I also tried adding Variable in this field but that also did not help.
Please let me know if you have faced similar issue.

Hi,
Go to your query desinger opend your query and select your variable in that you have see first "Ready Input Query" Check box is selected or not. It's not selected you can select that check box.
