Text Box in DOCUMENTS Tab when creating a Contract

Hi
I'm using SRM 5 , when creating a Contract(GOA), the minute you select the Documents Tab , the text box for internal note is already open, and it fills up the top portion of the screen. This does not allow you to save( or to put your contract either on hold, or to Release.) You cannot select any of those options as the text box covers the entire top area, the only option available is to click on "back to inital screen".
When you select this option you loose all your work,and it takes you to the initial screen.
I cannot find the note which has to be applied , please assist.

Reader doesn’t create pdf files. You can use Acrobat (ask in that forum) to create pdfs. You can subscribe to the Adobe PDF Pack which has a create pdf functionality (please ask in that forum), or you can use a third party utility such as ghostscript, cutepdf, or Microsoft’s own PDF creation capability. For third party pdf creation you will need to ask in a forum dedicated to that software as fellow users of Reader are unlikely to have the knowledge to help.

How to change the font size of Text Box Properties Appearance tab into 2 decimal digit. I am uanble to modify it to 5.38 pt for example. Its only allowing to 1 decimal place.

Click on each field and the choose Properties from either File menu (or if on Mac hold dow mouse button until context menu appears choose properties)
go to Font
choose desired size and type font,you can choose to make this the default.
Do this with each field.
Or if you have a lot of fields:
while one is selected select all of them
then go to fonts in properties
change Font and size and make default.

How to display TEXT description from Documents tab of Product master in ISA

Hi,
We have product related PDF document attached with Product.
I can access in CRM by Going
Products--> Maintain Products.
When I chose specific Product I can see Product related details.
There are many tabs like "General", "Material", "Sales and Distributions", "Documents", etc...
"Documents" tab have 2 folders "Pictures" and "TEXTS".
under "TEXT" folder we have PDF documents.
it has short product name like "ASP009" and Description "ASP 009 Manual".
When I click on any one I can see attached PDF document in Preview window in CRM.
How I can access text description "ASP 009 Manual" on "ProductDetailsB2C.JSP" file.
I want to display this "ASP 009 Manual" description on "ProductDetailsB2C.JSP".
Is there any Standard Java class method available in ISA.
I really appreciate any help on this and assign points to them for solution.

Here's the steps we use in our ProductDetailB2C.jsp (B2B uses same code in another file name I forget right now) to provide a link to our technical data sheets...this includes how to create a new document type in CRM as well as the code needed to display it on the ISA
Step 1: Transaction OAC2, create Document Type example CRM_TECHDA
Step 2: Transaction SPRO-> CRM -> Basic functions -> Content Management -> Define template for folders
Step 3: Double click template PRODUCT_MATERIAL
Step 4: Right-click Documents, Choose Create Folder
(Make sure to input DOCUMENT TYPE(Properties TAB) = Step 1 value example CRM_TECHDA)
Step 5: Add a new set of lines of code for each of the types of 'text' you have created to display as a link in the .jsp file(s), changing the CAPPED name to the appropriate name of your specific field below:

I forgot to add, that you could add the attribute information Sateesh talks about where we just use "Technical Data Sheet"
on the third line of the code...we don't bother with the name of the file as you're needing since we had too many people
naming them and the overall consistency was horrible.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to go to the first text box on a page when the focus is on the Location Bar?

I can use Alt+D to get to the Location Bar to type in a URL, but is there a way I can then go to the default text box, to enter data, once the search engine page has been opened, by using a short-cut key? I didn't recognize any of the commands in the Shortcut Keys page as being what I want.

This was helpful, but didn't really answer the question. Pressing Tab when I"m on the google Location Bar takes me to the search text box, which is what my motivation for writing the question was, but I notice that on many pages, it doesn't work. This page, for instance.
I went to the about:config page and changed the <b>accessibility:tabfocus</b> from 1 (tab through every element) to 5 (only tab to the text boxes and links) but it seems to still tab through every element.

Text box should not appear when printed

Need to create a 4-line text box/form field/comment to give users instructions, but box should not be visible when printed. A form/text field can be set-up to be visible but not printed, however, it will not allow multiple lines of text in it.
Any suggestions?

Blinking cursor in text box by hitting tab

I have an input text on stage. Normally when we want to type
something in the text box we have to click the mouse in the text
box. If I want the blinking cursor to appear in text box by just
hitting tab button on keyboard, could it be done ?

Joel, I am not sure what you mean by starting a new thread. The new material I placed in a new text box on a new page is less than a page wide and does not fill the text box.
I file > placed the text and it came from Word. I did not copy and paste it.
I do use CS4.
There are no character styles or paragraph styles applied to the text. This is something I will add as the pieces are placed.
The button to which you refer is in the upper right hand corner of my computer and the text to which you referred -- no break is unchecked.
This is not the first time I have had trouble with text disappearing. I usually manage to make an end run and correct the problem in Word and then place the text again. However, whatever method I use is time-consuming, tedious and frustrating.
No matter where I use the enter key in that text frame, text below the enter disappears and the out port then shows a plus (even though the text box is NOT full). If I click on the plus and add the text to a different text box, I get the text that disappeared. But that is not the result I want. If I try to take the text from the out port and put it back into the text box, where it belongs then I get text linked to text--a mess.
There must be a cure for this problem.

I think you have to set the query specification for the data provider you created. If you don't, no object is available (that'w why you received a such error).

Tabbing when creating an outline in 'Pages'

I would like to know if there is a way to tab to the right in the context of an outline in the 'Pages' application on the iPad? For example...
If I hit (shift+tab) when using an outline the bullet point will shift to the left.

If you place a raster image in Illustrator CS4 and want to Illustrator automatically analyze the details and reproduce them as vector shapes you can use the Object > Live Trace > Make command (you can download the PDF of Illustrator CS4 help to learn more about: http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/archive.html).
But the best way is really insert the image as template and use tools like Pen tool to manually reproduce the details (the outline in your case).

Error when creating the contract

When i create the contract(va41) which quotes one quotation and save ,it will alert that "Customer Base Number not maintained for Payer/Soldto # 87000889" .I do not know the wrong of creating the customer or other reason.Could anyone please tell me the reason,thanks in advance

Can you double click on the error message and let us know the message class/number.

When I open xl spreadsheets or word documents there is no text although these documents were previously created on my macbook?

I created a number of documents in excel and word on my macbook, saved on the desktop etc.
However when I go to open these documents there is no text shown. Additionally if word or excel documents are emailed to me and I open/download them,
again this happens.
What has happened to these documents or my macbook?

The documents brough into Mavericks from Snow Leopard should still be considered the original versions before they're opened in Pages 5, so I think it would work. Probably best to open them in 4.3 on Mavericks first though, to be safe.
At any rate, data loss is only a problem if you have opened the only copy of a document with a new, untried application, and in that case, you are acting as though it isn't a very important document, anyway.

VA01 copies texts, but VA02 does not when creating from reference

Hello,
I am having an issue with text determination configuration. It is currently set up to copy some header texts from the quote to the order when an order is created from reference. This works correctly when using transaction VA01 to create an order from reference.
However, the issue arises when using VA02 to create from reference, the items copy over correctly from the quote, but texts and other data do not copy over correctly. Any ideas on why this might be the case?

Thanks for your replies. I know the correct way to do this is to use VA01 and Create from reference. However, the way that the order processing group has always done this is to create a "dummy" order using VA01, then use VA02 to "modify" the order by going to menu option Sales Document -> Create with Reference. This has the effect of copying over all items from the quote into the order. However, no sales texts are copied over when this is done. I'm wondering if there is a config that needs to be modified to allow texts to copy over using this method.
When I go into the texts tab in VA02 and display the log, the texts that I need copied over say something like, "Text does not exist". I have a feeling that the text is not copied over because the order does not have a reference to the quote at the time the text determination is evaluated.

Default Document Ctrl when creating limit item

When I create a limit item using "Process purchase order" the check box "Confirm Performance of Service/Goods Receipt" in Follow-on document is checked by default when I have entered the Vendor. Is there a way so that only the check box "Invoice Expected" is checked by default?

Hi. Not 100% sure this will all work, but when you press the button to "add a limit item" a certain SY-UCOMM will be set, "ITMSEL_LIMIT".
You could use the BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI to set the flag only when SY-UCOMM = ITMSEL_LIMIT.
This way it should set it as default for new items but not change it for old items.

Cannot enter URL or use advanced tab when creating a (local) testing server

Hi,
I have created a site in Dreamweaver and I have tried creating a testing server. However everytime I try to create a test server Dreamweaver does not allow me to enter the Web URL in the server window. I knnow its local (localhost) but it seems it should still need a URL - http://localhost/...
It allows me put in the name of the server the connection type - Local/Network and allows me to browse to the server folder and select it but does not allow me to put any data in to Web URL: field.
Additionally, it does not allow me to select the Advanced tab to specify my Server Model - PHP MySQL.
When I click save with these settings I can see all the necessary files and folders in the Dreameaver Testing Server window but when I go to create a database connection I get an error saying "The URL prefix http:// for this site's testing server could not be resolved" - on hitting the Select button to select the database.
I am running WAMP (in Windows 7) and I can see the database in phpMyAdmin. I know the username and password are correct.

Blurry text in Acrobat X Pro when creating PDF from Word 2010

I created a PDF document from Word 2010 and while most of the pages and formatting looks fine, about 1/5 of the pages have blurry Arial 10 pt text (it looks as if it was Arial bold out of focus). Has anyone experienced this problem?
