Text boxes are not interactive until the PDf is downloaded

So, what I am trying to do is send PDF files to clients and have them type there name in a text box, but when I send the email and they view the PDF file the text box is non interactive, the text box only becomes interactive after they download the PDF file. I would like them to be able to sign it without downloading it, Thanks.

Hello. A page in my InDesign document appears to be broken. Text boxes are not visible, they can only mark if I choose command + a. Then I can copy the object and paste into another document in which they appear. You can not delete the page when the crash program. What could be wrong?

Re text boxes not visible try: View > Screen Mode > Normal.
It's not a good idea to copy and paste, use Place: File > Place.
Re your crashing, maybe you should reset your Preferences.

Why is it that some text boxes are not editable? can't find were to change it? it can be the same tex tbox that is editable in one file copied to another and there is not editable...

What exactly did you do step by step?
Also: which version? which platform?
Is a clipboard enhancer installed in your system? Or some other enhancement to your system? Like Cocktail for Mac OS?

Mail messages in my In Box are not appearing in the list of messages.

Mail: SOME mail messages in my In Box are not appearing in the list of messages. Instead, there's a blank line in its place if already read, or just the blue dot if unread. But when I click on the line, the message's column/header detail appears (and I can open it).
(Coincidental or not, immediately prior to this situation, I established a New Rule that mail coming from my son's email address should be Moved to the IN Box as they had been going to Trash. None of the emails I'm questioning have any reference to his email address in them.)

Continuation of info (from GDTGG): When I leave that mail message and click on a different one, the blank line marking its place once again appears for the message. (There was a similar problem posted by someone else in 2009 entitled "Inbox Has Blank Lines" but with no apparent solution that I could find.)

Objects (lines) and text boxes are not able to be made bigger or smaller

first of all: For no reason at all, all of my text boxes are now set up as threaded text. I dont know how that turned on. When i go to "type"
and try to select "threaded text" it wont allow me to select it - it is not highlighted. So I have no clue
how to turn this off. Now I can not stretch my text boxes to suit whats in them - ie: make them bigger or smaller, ie: there are only two boxes to drag - one at either side of text box and they wont allow me to drag them to make the box bigger - only to move the entire box (before there were 4 boxes to manipulate the size of the text box - one on each corner - now there are only two) and this seems to apply
to many other objects now. when i draw a line, I have to make sure that line is the exact right size because once i draw it - it wont allow me to make it bigger or smaller - it only allows me to move it to a different place - i dont understand what is happening

i am pretty sure it is area type because in type i can see "area type options"
i dont know how to turn bounding boxes on or off so I can not answer that question.
yes i should be able to resize the bounding text box by dragging and ive always been able to do that. however I can no longer do that. the usual bounding text box that i am accustomed to has little teeny boxes all around the entire box - in each corner - so i can drag each corner easily
this set up that has currenly taken over my illustrator program has only TWO little teeny weeny boxes that when selected wont allow me to drag them to resize at all. when i double click on one of these two little teeny boxes it gives me the thread text tool... which i dont want and have never even used before
i just want my text boxes and everything else to go back to normal so i can drag them to resize them again
does that make more sense or have i explained it better?

On Unix Clinet with Java 1.4.1 plug-in, text boxes are not working

On Unix Client with Java 1.4.1 plug-in version, text box is not responsive (I am not able to enter anything).
But If load the same applet on the same client by upgrading the plug-in to 1.4.2, it works. Is this a known bug in Java plug-in 1.4.1?

Changes made to a pdf file (i.e. adding a text box) are not visible in iBooks but work OK in other programs like docs to go?

Anyone know why that is or how to correct it?

Thanks, Demo, I'll give that a shot. On the other hand, I really don't want to have some files in iBooks and other ones in Adobe Reader. If Adobe Reader will let me organize them in folders, it might be a great solution.
However, there's no ".pdf management" involved here. It's simply "Read the #%€\#^% .pdf file I gave you" and there is nothing to "manage". Whatever opinions Apple has about Adobe, .pdf is a fact of life and should not require any handstands and backsprings just to read a file. (Are you listening, Apple?) I refinanced my home with .pdf files; print it, sign it, scan it, e-mail it back. (OK, calm down, it'll be all right... Sigh...)
Whatever the result, I'll report back.

X-refs are not working in the PDF output

I correctly generated a PDF from a ditamap using DITA-FMx and cross-references are not working.

Thanks Scott, although I don't think this is the best solution in our case.
The target PDF is a file that is delivered to a customer. This means that it won't keep the same location on the file system, and therefore links will no longer work I guess. In addition to that, we are still not ready for publishing our doc on the web. So the delivered PDF is a file that lives on its own.
If the problem occurs only across different nested ditamaps, I thought I could get rid of these nested diatamaps and just have a global ditamap containing only topics. But then how would I obtain the different section levels in the TOC?
Today, I use nested diatamaps in order to get the following structure:
|_ Section 1
|
|_ Section 2
|_ Section 2.a
|_ Section 2.b
|_ Section 2.c
|
|_ Section 3
where Section 2 is a ditamap with three topics.
Are there other alternatives to nested ditamaps in order to keep the same level of indentation?

Is this a memory issue, or cache issue, or something else? I've downloaded iCab and the site works perfectly with it.
Also wondering if I can manually reload/refresh web pages in iPad Safari.
Since most people with iPads will use Safari rather than iCab, I have to tweak this site to work in Safari.

Detecting phone numbers and making them clickable is a feature of the browser, and rebuilding your web-site links will not make any difference. Its done when the page is shown in the browser, not when the page is created.
According to the Safari iOS developers guide, you can turn these data detectors off using this code:

Photoshop CC transform boundaries are not moving with the object...HELP

All of a sudden when rotating an object the white boundary boxes are not staying with the object which is causing me tons of problems!! How do I fix this?

There are many way to make templated to populate one like you have a background layer with placement layers above you need to add images and clip them to the placement layers.

Overset text will not go into the text box that is part of the master for the next page

I am trying to (first time user) set up a simple trade-paperback sized book with some photos. Have set up several masters for chapter title pages, chapter inner pages, etc. When I copy text out of Word into InDesign, (copy/paste) the text overset box appears. I load it, then go to the next page, which I have already formatted using one of the masters. But when I select the desired text box ((Ctrl/shft) and click, the overset text forms a new text box, What am I doing wrong? thanks

I have done, this did work right for at least the left side of the spread, but never for the right side -
Make sure the left and right page master page text frames are threaded View>Extras>Show Text Threads. Here I have left and right page text boxes threaded on my A-master spread:
Checking Smart Text Reflow can make adding long text to master frames easier:
With Smart Text Reflow enabled I've released the master page text box on page 1, note the released frame has a solid border, while the unreleased master page frames on subsequent pages are dotted indicating they are still master page items and not page items.
